"An upscale gastrobar that channels Mexican flavors into inventive cocktails featuring ingredients like pozole, fermented corn pulque, epazote and bacanora, complemented by comfort-forward food such as dry-rubbed rib eye tacos and foie gras on sourdough with figs and honey. The interior mixes Chesterfield sofas, velvet armchairs, antique rugs and portraits for an old-school look that belies a modern, adventurous spirit." - Laura Itzkowitz
"Sometimes, a dirty martini just tastes better at a hotel bar, and Fifty Mills at The Four Seasons proves that hypothesis. Even though it's inside one of the nicest hotels in town, it’s not uptight—the staff is friendly whether or not you have a room key, and no one will make a fuss if you show up in sneakers. This is still $18-cocktail territory, but it’s less pricey than what you’ll find at most hotel bars." - guillaume guevara

"Having helped turn Fifty Mils at Mexico City's Four Seasons Hotel into a globally acclaimed cocktail destination, I recognize its influential role in raising the profile of Mexico's modern cocktail scene even when specific drinks aren't the article's main focus." - Nils Bernstein

"The moment we first walked into this DTLA basement bar below Seven Grand, we knew we’d be spending a lot of time here. As the name suggests, it's vaguely Mexico City-themed. All that translates to is a divey room full of people drinking carajillos and aged mezcal glowing on neon shelves. It would be hard to have a bad time here, considering the huge pool table and arcade games featuring Spanish-speaking Donkey Kong. But the best part is that everything on the drinks menu costs less than $15. Come for a weeknight cocktail before a show at The Regent or a full-throttle party on the weekend." - Nikko Duren
