The 17 Best Restaurants In Los Feliz - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"You’ve probably heard about Figaro Bistrot's infamous sidewalk crowd that glares at you as you walk past. Well, that’s 100% true, but don't let those eyeballs intimidate you from eating here. This French cafe is a pleasant place to eat a basket of croissants with a fishbowl-sized latte. The brunch menu is equally massive and includes vegetarian paninis, thick slices of quiche, and crispy ham and cheese crepes topped with a fried egg. Dinner, wine, and cocktails are also available in the evenings, so feel free to use this spot as a mellow date night option in a pinch." - Sylvio Martins, Brant Cox

Where To Eat Outside In Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Frogtown, East Hollywood, and Atwater Village

"Los Feliz sidewalk spot Figaro Bistrot reopened in late May, with their French cafe food, and all kinds of European wines. Things can get expensive, but when you’re drinking a glass of pinot on an empty Vermont Avenue, you can’t be too mad about it." - brett keating

I do NOT think you should go anywhere else after wine and two walks but *if you are feeling it* you should go to Figaro and get one of the outdoor tables and get actually hammered or blitzed on coffee. It's french so it's good.

Visiting from Boston MA. My friend lives near by and said she loves it and comes every week. I got a grilled chicken Caesar salad. We ordered the Garlic Truffle fries. She got the spinach quiche. Everything was so good and so fresh. We sat in the lounge side. Very very cute. Highly recommended.

This French restaurant is such a hidden gem! The vibe is amazing — cozy, romantic, and the European-style interior makes you feel like you’re on a little getaway in France. We tried the escargot and mussels to start, and both were really delicious. The escargot was buttery and flavorful, and the mussels were super fresh and cooked just right. But the highlight for me was the truffle mushroom pasta — seriously, you have to try it. So rich and full of flavor without being too heavy. One of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a while. We also had the quinoa salad and steak salad, and both were fantastic. Super fresh, well-balanced, and honestly great options for vegetarians too (especially the quinoa one). On top of all that, the staff were awesome — friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of timing. You can tell they really care about making sure you have a great experience. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a place with great food, lovely atmosphere, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We were three ladies visiting from OC, and this place had been on our list for a while since it’s known as a local hotspot. We heard great things about the French onion soup—two people recommended it—and now we totally understand why! It was rich, flavorful, and absolutely comforting. We got a cozy corner seat inside, and to our surprise, it turned out to be a perfect photo spot—no wonder this place is known as an Instagram-worthy restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes: Escargot, Mussels, Salmon Benedict, Truffle Pasta, and Steak Salad Our absolute favorite was the truffle pasta—so aromatic and delicious. The salmon benedict also stood out for keeping the true flavor of the salmon while still being tender and well-prepared. And the French fries… we didn’t expect much, but they were light, crispy, and not greasy at all. Even though we were full, we couldn’t stop eating them! We were too full to try dessert, which we truly regretted. Service was also excellent—staff were friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each dish clearly. Overall, this place deserves its hype: great food, aesthetic vibes, and kind service. Highly recommended!

Google
Great experience at this French Bistro reminded me of a Parisian bistro with the lighting, the seating, the food and the service. The onion soup was pretty great as was my beef bourguignon very tender and delicious although the fettuccini lacked flavor. The soufflé was a great sweet treat to end my night.

Google
Intimate, casual, yet unpretentiously elegant. the decor, made me feel like I wasn't in LA any more, like I stepped into a little French Bistro. The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food, flavorful and sizable portions. I had the signature Figarot Breakfast Burrito, sans meat. Delicious and seasoned to perfection. I had a Latte as well. So yummy. I put the 2nd half of the breakfast burrito in the oven later and had it for dinner. If you're on a quick lunch break the street meters are limited to an hour. If you plan to dine in, there is a 4-hour parking lot behind the restaurant that cost a dollar per hour. Worth it. Plus the infamous vintage, Los Feliz 3 is a few steps away, if you plan to add a movie into the mix. Overall 5 stars and 10's across the board. Looks like I found another happy place in Los Feliz!

Google
Figaro Bistrot is an amazing restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere that keeps me coming back! Whether you choose to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air or relax indoors, the ambiance is charming and welcoming. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food is incredibly fresh, and the portions are huge—you definitely get your money's worth here. I can’t even begin to describe how overwhelming and wonderful the entire experience was. From the service to the flavors, everything was perfect. If you’re looking for a place with great food, a warm atmosphere, and friendly service, Figaro Bistrot is a must-visit!

Google
Figaro Bistro Review Figaro Bistro is a super casual spot with good food and a lovely French ambiance! It really feels like a little piece of France, perfect for a relaxed meal. The only thing I’d work on is the playlist. While we were there, they were playing pop music, which, in my opinion, didn’t match the vibe of the place at all. Overall, though, it’s a great spot to check out!

Google
One of my favorite places to eat in all of Los Angeles! Today I had my favorite savory chicken and mushroom crepe and a latte with a big beautiful heart! Usually we sit outside but today I explored the interior which is beyond cute and tres quaint! Like a great many Parisian cafes you can sit out front and people watch! This part of town is great for that. I had a Nutella crepe with strawberries on it! Tasty! Besides that I had two great lattes. I tried the spinach quiche and it was ok. I’m not sure it had the best consistency. It was oozy. It was tasty regardless. The $5 dollar bread basket is perfect! I love this place for nostalgic reasons but that’s not the only reason I return. Meter parking. Neighborhood parking for the lucky few.

Yelp
A Mille Fuille and americano. Perfect combo that very few restaurants in LA know how to do. And even fewer restaurants know the difference between a mille fuille and napoleon, Figaro Bistrot is one of the few that does. Mille Fuille uses REAL pastry cream, not whipped cream. The pastry layers are flaky and crispy. Americano was hot and not bitter. Service was great, couldn't ask for better

Yelp
Figaro is a favorite of ours. For us, i's all about the vibe. The neighborhood, sidewalk scene, service, etc. makes our trips there consistently memorable. Have had breakfast and brunch on multiple occasions and always enjoyed it, but our typical visit is for happy hour drinks and dinner. Mondays and Wednesday are often our goal since they go late, but even other nights go until 8:00 p.m., so we make multiple trips a month. Favorite happy hour small plates of ours that we share are the coconut shrimp, hummus, sliders, and truffle fries. Service is very friendly; we often happily end up in Marianne's section.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour. The atmosphere is so cute and intimate. The servers were very attentive!! My group and I ordered off the happy hour menu. I ordered the chicken wings, which came with a generous portion; however I found that a lot of my wings didn't have a lot of chicken ): I also got the garlic fries, which had a good amount of garlic and flavor!

Yelp
Good food with a variety of choices, you will not be disappointed. I loved their quiche and salad. The coffee was also delicious. Great neighborhood spot. Service was pretty good also. Oh yeah, the onion soup.. sooooo YUMMY!!!

Yelp
The service and the food was so good! I think my server was either filipino or some sort of Asian, but she was excellent. I had two croissants, one plain and one chocolate but they were so huge and I had a café latte. The chocolate croissant was filling, so I was only able to eat one, but it was so flaky, puffy and delicious. I can't wait to go back again, wish I can go every day.

Yelp
The server was very nice and receptive, because I explained my food allergy and he completely understood, asked if there are more allergies. He also, was very good with checking in on us, etc. I ordered the portobello burger with truffle fries, which was delicious. The champagne was good. All was tasty. Thanks.

Yelp
Been coming around more recently for Happy Hour and such, for the solid martinis ($8), snacks like the new photos show - lox, shmear, capers on toast points ($13), the Figaro Burger w grilled onions, bacon and mayo ($13) - as well as that key lime tart. I love everything French and their zinc bar just woos, as I like watching the hard working staff and all the cooler-than-thou folks socializing and eating... it really does have the vibe of those neighborhood cafes in France. Burger was tasty and good if not a little thin and overcooked. Toast points serve as a yummy appetizer and those martinis... oh those martinis. Deceptively powerful and good.

Yelp
Best service and the happy hour is the bees knees! I've been going here since 2015 and all I can say it's a great place.

Yelp
Very quant venue accompanied by a very powerfully and very extensive packed menu. Inside and outside tables and natural look takes you from Los Angeles to France. The escargot was perfectly done. Garlicky, but not to the point where everything for the rest of the meal (or month) tastes like garlic, and plenty of fresh herbs. The steak frites were also excellent, the steak thicker than in most places. The frites were perfectly seasoned- not overly salted - tasting like potatoes and with a hint of fresh herbs.

Yelp
My date brought me here for my birthday. I have been before but it was many years ago before Covid. Curious to see how it is now. Glad to see they still have their daily happy hour until 8pm. Our waitress Maria was amazing! She helped us navigate through the happy hour menu. We ordered the escargot (5x). A bit tiny but very tasty and oily. Be sure you save the oil seasoning to dip your bread in. She suggested the beef capriccio which was perfect! Very refreshing with a side salad in the center. We got the entree of the mussels adding the cream sauce per her suggestion. The portion was huge for 2 people! And the sauce was so good I had to take it home. Great for dipping in the fries or bread into the broth. For dessert we had to get the scouffle. It tasted more like a molten chocolate cake but very rich and paired nicely with the French vanilla ice cream and definitely need coffee to clean the palette. All in all we enjoyed our evening greatly. Great waitress. Great food, and great space. Does feel like you're in a Parisian bistro people watching if you choose to sit outside. The only downside is that the tables are quite close together (unfortunate if you sit next to a loud group) and I wish they didn't have the flat screen TVs.

Yelp
Figaro Bistrot is a French café restaurant in Los Feliz. They offer a breadth of food and drinks on their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Similarly, they have pastries. Their interior design is characterized by a simple look resistant and unique, with neo-classical elements. Its dim lit atmosphere feels like you're back into Marie Antoinette's era. I came to grab a latte (16oz) coffee. It was okay. Service was on point. Prices (food/drinks) were extravagant like the Eiffel tower. Plenty of street parking. Overall, I had a good order experience.

Yelp
I've been coming to Figaro for a few decades now and they never disappoint. The rib eye was cooked perfectly and the sea bass melted in our mouths. The service was excellent as usual and the ambiance as beautiful as ever. Perfect spot for an afternoon bite or a date night.

Yelp
I have walked by this place for years and felt intimidated because there's always a lot of people sitting outside. I finally decided to give it a try. I was seated inside and it's beautiful. The table and seat was a bit low and the left arm was falling apart. The menu is huge. I sat there waiting for a long time before anyone came to help. When she finally did, I ordered the Beet Salad and small order of Mussels and water. Everyone came out at once including the water. The food looked beautiful and big portions. The Beet Salad was exceptional. The mussels were alright. They didn't have much flavor and the broth had a lot of wine and was bitter. I tried to put butter in to make it taste better but that didn't help. I wanted more water but my server would disappear or walk by quickly without checking. I asked two different busboys for water and they said yes but never came back. I also noticed everyone else in the room I was in was asking for water. After a very long wait and many failed attempts to flag and say excuse me to my server, she finally stopped. I was gonna order desert but I was annoyed I sat there so long with no water that I got my check, paid and left. Ambiance wise. Menu wise. Food wise. This place is great. I think it's a place for people to sit around and talk and not get much service.

Yelp
Stale bread from Ralph's served in a dirty basket by a waiter who doesn't care. Figaro doesn't realize it is over: 1. They can't get it together enough to deliver the basics (clean utensils, greeting customers, bringing things you order, pouring wine). 2. Your waiter won't be able to handle a drink order. 20 minutes later, annoyed you want something, he will half listen when you order your meal because he has no idea what is on the menu and doesn't care. 3. He will scribble something down, say nothing, leave some menus on the table, and disappear for a half hour. 4. Eventually someone will try to deliver 2 of 5 things your table orders. Probably for the best - the snails might have given you the sick had they bothered to bring them out. Finally, you will get fed up and ask for the check, give the $100 bottle of wine to the table next to you just so you can leave and go to a restaurant that gives a #&$!?. For management: Your regulars have fled because you now suck. Jumbo's Clown Room has a cleaner bathroom. And you have got to stop serving rock hard three day old bread from the sale bin at Ralph's. Pull it together.

Yelp
Wow! Just found this bistro by accident coming down from Griffith Park and was surprised by the fantastic French cuisine. The quiche Lorraine was fluffy and delicious. We also had the Figaro burger, French onion soup and potato leek soup which were all excellent. Pleasantly surprised to find an authentic French restaurant in LA (Los Feliz lol). I'll be back if just for the French pastry.

Yelp
So beautiful, awesome service, a bit pricey. The food is great, the portions are fairly priced for everything but drinks, those are not worth buying.

Yelp
Great setting, an old time favorite Good happy hour as well. Great spot to spot to spent the afternoon without ever feeling that you overstayed your welcome. The food is mediocre and could Use a little addition of love.

Yelp
I came here on Friday with a friend for dinner. Their food is not the best but it's also not bad, 7/10. Our server was amazing, very attentive and super nice. Shout out to Mariam. We had a mix up with the kitchen and they were nice enough to bring us dessert on the house. The place itself is very busy and lively so id recommend getting a reservation especially on weekends

Kelly S.

Yelp
Old standby, been coming for years. Food and service range from good to excellent. Mostly we come for the warm bistro atmosphere. But tonight the staff were changing out the warm bistro light bulbs for hideously bright halogen bulbs. Suddenly the main room had all the charm of an over lit bus station. Either these migraine inducing lights go, or they are losing a long term customer. (We mentioned our distress to the staff; hopefully the message gets through.).

Yelp
Came on a Saturday evening for happy hour (goes until 8pm!) and it was quite busy, but we only had to wait ~10 min for a table for three outside. The outdoor seating is very cute, albeit a little cramped. Food: Coconut shrimp (5/5): exactly what you'd expect, very tasty Beef carpaccio (6/5): SO good, whatever dressing they put on the beef was delicious, and the fresh salad on top was great Garlic truffle fries (3/5): needed salt, nice and crispy, way too much raw garlic on top Salmon toasts: (3/5): kinda burnt toast, salmon was good but overall the dish was nothing crazy ***their decaf coffee is INCREDIBLE, highly recommend ending your meal with it! Note: the service is very slow so budget some time especially if you want to get extra drinks after your meal. You could say it's ~European~
google avatar

Yelp
Not only is the food absolutely divine, but the interior is stunning and the bakery delicious. Pros: We started off strong with a bread basket, butter, and jam. My entire party raved about this part in particular. Thankfully the chai tea latte wasn't too sweet like most places are, and it was also super creamy. Salmon benedict was delicious and I had food left over because it was a lot (I also forgo'd the salad). Not pictured are macarons and they have some unique flavors! Cons: My food and drink came a little on the lukewarm side. For the smoked salmon I'm pretty sure it was cold and that's why it made the rest of the dish cool, but no idea why on the chai. Maybe cold milk? Summary: I will definitely be coming back since I think the lukewarm food was a one-off fluke. Even if you don't stay for sit down, the bakery is worth trying!
google avatar

Celine C.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I visited Figaro Bistrot for weekend brunch. The restaurant, to be honest, looked kinda old and dingy. We sat outside and it was quite lovely (minus all the flies). Our server was nice and friendly. Food, on the other hand, was very average. + Steak tartare 3/5: I thought the value of this dish was pretty good because there's a lot of raw beef, sliced baguettes, and salad. I had to ask for more baguettes because the three slices just weren't enough. The raw beef got kind of heavy towards the end. I had to force myself to finish it. I also had to ask for more balsamic vinaigrette because I didn't taste any mixed in with the salad. + Large carafe of mimosa 1/5: For $33, the carafe seemed a bit small. It wasn't the best either. The champagne tasted flat and the OJ was ridiculously sweet. It's definitely not fresh squeezed.

Yelp
Popular spot around Los Feliz--great location, super busy. Service was great and the food tasted pretty good (ordered the onion soup and truffle fries). The Happy Hour times and prices for this place are pretty good for LA! Ambiance was also nice--lots of outdoor seating that, though on the pavement and a little crowded, didn't actually feel too claustrophobic and was great for the sunset lighting (also pictured). Definitely wouldn't be opposed to coming again and trying the other menu options.

Yelp
I made reservation for Saturday night for my friend and I and when I got there I did not have any reservation , they canceljed my reservation without telling me. We were sat down but they told me to leave before seven because they had a big group coming . I decided to give them a small tip because the incident, and when I paid the waitress told me that if I was not aware that the tip was not included in the price ,and there , she got her calculator and told me that the tip I left was very short. I did not want to argue or spoil my night and I left the rest of the tip in cash. I have been living in Silver Lake for 24 years and I have been going Figaro for ever, but the prices are getting insane and the service is worse every time. Also, I think that the food is not too bad but it is not worth it for the price.

Yelp
Stepping in here is like being transported to a cute bistro in actual France. They got the look down! They also have the best of both worlds, cute cafe/restaurant as well as a full bar area. We stopped in for a drink which was delicious. I don't remember the name as we just asked the bartender to make us her best tequila based cocktail. She was super nice and chatted a bit with us. The only thing I would change is their seating. Not enough for the bar area and their patio is crammed with too many tables. Other than it was a nice time here
google avatar

Olena V.

Yelp
I can't believe that Figaro Bistro has such a deceptively low rating. This place transported me to Europe for an hour and there were so many hip nicely dressed people around to look at - we had such a great time on their outdoor patio. Their happy hours lasts from 4 to 8pm which was really nice, and during that time their wine was only $8! We tried two vegetarian pastas which were both equally delicious and rich in flavor. I will be back in the future to try more things from Figaro, and I recommend that you do too :)
google avatar

L. M.

Yelp
Great service, great meal, steak frites hit the spot. Cocktail menu was extensive and I had a very good martini. Ambience is cozy and authentic. Figaro exceeded expectations and made us feel like we were back in Paris. We are definitely returning on our next date night. Price was what you would expect for a good dinner but not overpriced.
google avatar

Lily A.

Yelp
Food is a 3/10 and service was horrible. Been coming here forever and will probably keep going since friends always meet here, not sure who the female waitress was but she was so rude and wouldn't give us a refund on a dish we didn't order. Got the other waiter to refund the dish and give us the correct one, food was bad and the $5 bread basket was stale bread from Ralph's. But atmosphere is always cute

Maral M.

Yelp
The ambiance is great, staff are friendly. The pastry is also good. Quite a charming spot. Food quality is ok-- for a French restaurant claiming that some of their ingredients are "imported from the region" including the cheese they serve I'd say the food quality doesn't necessarily deliver. I had the cheese board the other day and the ingredients, quality and presentation was quite mediocre. Stale bread also.
google avatar

Candace Angelica S.

Yelp
I love this place. It's charming, it's delicious and a spot for locals to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee. Parking is hard to find to be honest, at all times of day. I believe it's the locals who live close by that walk here that frequent Figaro. We were lucky enough to find parking on a Tuesday morning most recently. We ordered pasta, a hot chocolate and a coffee. My favorite time of day to eat here is evening. The inside of the bistro is gorgeous, and makes me feel like I'm in Paris. It's old and full of charm. The service is great, and we receive our orders fairly fast. Definitely check this place out, but Uber if you can.

Gregory M.

Yelp
After having been to Figaro Bistrot many times over the past fifteen years, I have to say that I really enjoy it. Or, maybe more specifically I enjoy certain aspects of it. I am not one of those people that hangs out here for brunch on the sidewalk. I don't like direct sunlight and, frankly, am rarely up early enough to consider eating out before lunchtime. While I have had their breakfast selection, which I think is fine, it's really the happy hour/cocktail time that draws me back again. The things I like: interior decor. The bar-side hearkens back to the Belle Époque. You could imagine Toulouse-Lautrec having an absinthe here. While I am not a big drinker, they make a nice Martini and friends of mine have all complimented the cocktails. I really enjoy a lot of the specials, which are half-off during happy hour. And if you happen to go on Mondays or Wednesdays, happy hour extends from 4 to 11. Some of my favorites include the "beouf carpaccio", topped with salad greens, shaved Parmesan and olive oil and the beouf tartar. And they serve rather good oysters, despite not being a seafood restaurant. So, I highly recommend a visit here for light fare and drinks and will definitely continue to be a client as long as this place is around.

Yelp
Love this place it has authentic food, and pastries! We ordered a croissant and j didn't expect it to be warmed which added the touch it needed. I was impressed will be back to check out happy hour !

Yelp
People great. Food excellent. Bistro Atmosphere made it fun. Good drinks. Outside patio for people watching. What more can you ask. Try it if you haven't.

Yelp
It's easy to walk past this place with a certain nervous energy, believing the patrons eyes are shooting arrows through you every time you so much as inhale. Finally being one of said patrons after all these years, I can honestly say, nobody is really judging the people who walk by here; pedestrians just become part of the atmosphere in this little slice of French cafe culture. I've only ever dined in the outdoor patio area. The patrons are seated relatively close together but are pretty polite, and you'll find it's not so difficult to have a private conversation despite close seating. The menu is a dream. Anything you could want. I have no complaints. The crème brûlée did not disappoint me. The lattes are wonderful quality. Fries are tremendous. The pain au chocolat was big and fluffy, and I got a savory crêpe that was fantastic (served with the little French side salads I remember during my days in Dijon!). Waitstaff is excellent, friendly, attentive. Went here on my birthday. Worth it. Loved it. Only thing I wish was less French was the cigarette smoke I sometimes encounter. I get really bad headaches from exposure to cigarette smoke, so that's not ideal! But otherwise, both times I've gone here, have been memorably good. Good service, authentically good food.

Yelp
We've been looking for a casual French style cafe and finally found Figaro Bistrot! VIBE: this place is bustling on a weekday evening with a vibe to match your taste - lots of lively bistro-style seating on the sidewalk and yet dark with moody decor (in an inviting, European way? lovely detailed lighting fixtures and a checkerboard floor) inside. We sat in a two-seater next to the open window and loved being part of the many folks chatting over drinks or eats nearby outside, or at the bar! FOOD: Happy hour every day? Amazing! The menu looks extensive, so for our first time we stuck to the happy hour offerings. DAILY OYSTER: 6 on the half shell with classic sides - served with mignonette and fresh lemon and cocktail sauce. Oysters were the sweet kind and refreshing. BURRATA CROUSTINIS: one of the prettiest dishes. These three huge slices of burrata were accented with blushing slices of beet, the slices of cheese were so big they dwarfed the toasts beneath, with a drizzle of balsamic at the base. BEEF CARPACCIO: served with a generous shower of salad and shaved parmesan PROFITEROLES: three big ones, dipped in chocolate and sitting in a luxurious puddle of some extra, oh how fresh they tasted, whipped cream and sliced strawberries and powdered sugar. A luxurious way to end our meal. Lovely. We will be back to explore more of the menus and bring some friends and family to chat!

Yelp
The seafood pasta here is to die for. You have the option to choose between a red wine or white wine based sauce -- I went with the white wine option since it usually pairs well with seafood. Needless to say, it was amazing! They also don't skimp out on the seafood with a generous portion. The truffle fries are also to die for -- again, huuuge portion. The service was great and the waitress was very attentive. Not pictured but I took some tiramisu home. They had two options -- one with espresso and the other with brown sugar and I went with the one with espresso. Amazing as well. I love the ambiance and people watching here on a solo date!

Yelp
What can't you like about this place? Their chocolate croissants are some of the best I've had in the city, they have fun drinks, great food, severs are nice, ambience great. I haven't had a bad experience there, yet! Definitely would recommend. Only drawback is parking can be an issue in that area but still worth it!

Yelp
Amazing food in a casual setting. The ahi steeak salad is not to be missed. Coconut shrimp was yummy. One of the best desert selections in LA. Had a divine server. Always a treat!

Yelp
This was probably my favorite spot this year. The ambiance is beautiful and cozy. The service was great. We had an authentic French waitress and she was great. The food was wow. The French French fries were the best. Everything we had was the best. I do recommend this place. It is on the list of places to go back to. Simply perfection.

Yelp
I honestly do not understand how this place have any good reviews because it is pretty nasty... the food is served on cracked broken plates and just look at the water bowl they offered my dog... it has so much dirt in it, I'm disgusted. my water cup had a hair too, I couldn't even eat here

Yelp
Got seated promptly during happy hour the weekend of Mother's Day, but only because I made a reservation prior. Else the restaurant was teeming with guests outside waiting to be seated, so we quite possibly could have waited up to an hour if not for the reservation. A young, entitled, "Karen" type in her 20s seen numerous in the area tried getting a word in thinking we cut before her, when a table was already reserved for us. Happy hour food was decently priced but the regular menu is way overpriced. Almost $20 for a quiche you can make at home... also the escargot do not come in shells like in Paris. HH drinks were good, mom liked the sparklies. No soupe à l'onion on HH menu. Good place to practice your French depending on the waitress you get - mine was. 4.5/5

Yelp
The Rundown: cozy atmosphere with a varied menu allowing you to explore various french tastes. The Review: when visiting a friend they recommended this place. My expectations were rather high, since she was from France herself. The atmosphere itself is very cozy - from the cute tables outside to the warmly out interior with lots of classic personality. We happened to arrive during an evening happy hour and tried various items from the back to share- carpaccio, escargot, fries to name a few. Everything was excellent and the service was friendly and pleasant! My favorite was the creme brulee. I'm not a big fan of the dessert in general but apparently I haven't had proper style because this was excellent. Overall it was a great experience all around and I would definitely recommend. When it came time for the bill though we were never given a copy of the receipt so definitely make sure if you'd like a copy that you ask before they take the machine away because once the bill was settled it was difficult to get to someone.

Yelp
The food was outstanding and the latte?! To die for. Service was average but good for LA. The atmosphere is cozy and "writeresque."Wish I lived closer to enjoy it on a weekly basis.

Yelp
Vey expensive and nothing special, always bypass seeing many people sitting at the patio. Always wanted to try, but really disappointed, food was pretty so so, pasta was around $16 but was only the pastas with cheese, no meat or anything at all! Truffle fries were $8 and it was the exact same fries McDonald serves, with some truffle oil, nothing special. With the so so good, below average customer and the price is on the higher end. Our service person was pretty rude and always in a rush and didn't listen well and answered in a kind of rough tone. With this pricing, I have enjoyed so much much better more tasty food elsewhere, with nice vibe great food and great service, plus nice environment.

Yelp
Figaro is a well-known spot for a variety of tasty meals and their bakery is off the rails. But yesterday was a disappointment. I I ordered an omelette with brie and mushrooms - and asked for bacon to be included. I ordered the banana loaf and asked for it to be heated. When my omelette arrived, it didn't have bacon in it, and the waitress hurried over with a plate of chopped up....I think maybe cold turkey bacon... And said 'oh, we forgot to put it in and left it on my table, and she forgot to warm up the bread. Then, my friend and I both had started scratching our wrist area ??? We had gotten bit by something. After yesterday, it doesn't even matter if the food was good, because the service was poor and I have a bug bite.

Yelp
Killer happy hour and solid drinks. A neighborhood staple for a reason. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great people watching.

Yelp
Very cute place for brunch. It's always backed both outside and in but if you go slightly after lunch hour there's usually some space. It's on a nice pocket of LA that faces a building with cute architecture so it's nice to eat on the patio as if you're on a French street. Service was quick with requests as we kept order more once we discovered the expansive pastry and cake cabinet! Tonnes of options for lunch even escargot. I had some sort of lemon mini cake that was to die for, I'd come back to have even just that for lunch. Servings were pretty generous as well for the lox plate.

Yelp
Here I go. My experience my review. My hubby and I went for an evening night stroll at the Griffith Observatory and we decided to end our lively evening with a small bite and a coffee. We had read the reviews for this location but decided to try it ourselves. The ambiance was romantic, since we walked in there at 8:45 pm. They have outside seating with candle light tables. Inside was a little dark but it was warm and welcoming. Very nice for a first time date. We saw all the mouth watering pastries when we walked in and I couldn't wait to try them. We were seated next to the bar, a little cramped but not too many customers so we didn't mind. We ordered the quiche with salad and I was not too hungry and ordered the Caesar salad with anchovies. My hubby had a mocha and I was dying to try the affogato drink. Everything was delicious but can I tell you how delicious the affogato was. The coffee was a little strong but the ice cream gave it such a sweet and delicious taste. We are definitely coming back. We wanted a raisin bread but we're a little late because they were sold out on it. I didn't give it 5 stars just because it seemed that there was only one server and our food, drinks and water took a while to come out. Other than that it was a great evening!!
