I spent an exceptional time in this restaurant that perfectly combines a warm and refined atmosphere. From the entrance, we are welcomed by an attentive, smiling and extremely professional staff, who immediately puts us at ease. The service is impeccable, with a perfect pace, neither too fast nor too slow, and recommendations that reveal real expertise. As for the dishes, it's a real explosion of flavors. Each plate is a creative reinterpretation of the classics, combining fresh products and modern techniques. The presentations are neat and each bite reveals a subtle balance of tastes. We feel that the chef takes pleasure in surprising his customers through original dishes. An address to recommend without hesitation, whether for an outing with friends or a one-on-one dinner.

This restaurant has a beautiful ambience and has a great vibe to it as well. The cocktails are amazing and they have very unique drinks that have all been amazing, from what I have ordered. The staff is very friendly and the service here is fast and efficient. The manager there, Lucile, is a very friendly and warm woman, who loves to greet everyone with a beautiful smile on her face. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants amazing food and great drinks. The bathroom has an amazing decorative vibe to it and is a must see! (believe it or not)

Fav NYC restaurant! Whether you’re looking for amazing cocktails, delicious brunch, dinner or amazing happy hour deals, you can’t go wrong with Figaro!! The ambiance, service and attention to detail really make you want to come back every time. Can’t recommend it enough!

Beautiful ambiance, and it stops there! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I came to this restaurant with high expectations, but it felt more like an upscale college dorm, especially considering its proximity to NYU. While the staff was attentive, they seemed disorganized and uninformed, even down to the manager. The food was my biggest letdown. I specifically held off eating beforehand, expecting a memorable meal, but instead, I got a burger that tasted like it came from a fast-food chain. Even worse, it arrived incorrectly prepared. The fries, while served at the right temperature, were bland and lacked any seasoning. And don’t get me started on the “artichoke dumplings”—a mystery I’d rather forget. The wine was fine—nothing special, but I ordered a second glass as it was at least drinkable. However, even the dessert was unavailable, along with several wines we tried to order. For a place at this price point, this was beyond disappointing. The silver lining was our server, Harrison. Though new, he was genuinely empathetic and eager to help. But a great server can only do so much when the rest of the experience misses the mark. I would advise potential diners to consider their expectations carefully before coming here. There are plenty of places in NYC where both the food and the atmosphere live up to their promise—sadly, this isn’t one of them.

The ambiance of the place was spot on. The decor was beautiful. Our waiter was nice and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. The salmon was very good.

Ambiance is stellar. Couldn’t believe the availability. Pull apart bread to die for. Crispy rice tuna was ok, missing a little flavor. Salad and martini was very good. Would definitely go back!

Fígaro is an absolutely stunning restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the elegant décor and the ample seating, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional, with every dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. Our server, Giulia, was phenomenal attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that our experience was seamless from start to finish. The chef was incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to make a special dish for my father that wasn't on the brunch menu but had been a favorite of his in the past. This level of hospitality truly set the restaurant apart. As for our meals, my son ordered the brunch burger, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed a classic eggs Benedict, which was rich and delicious. I had the steak and eggs, which was cooked medium well and had an incredible flavor. The one thing I didn't love was that there was some residual blood from the steak on my plate. I wish it had been cleaned up before serving. However, I'm really glad I ate it because the steak itself was amazing, and the custom-made steak sauce I requested elevated it even more it was just perfect. Overall, Fígaro exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of excellent service, exquisite food, and a gorgeous setting makes it a must-visit. We can't wait to return!

They have happy hour on the weekends! Their happy hour is also a generous time from 3:30PM to 6:30PM, and have both drink and food on happy hour! I came after a parade with a group of 5 on a Saturday afternoon and the outdoor seating was all taken, but my party was able to be seated immediately inside. We really enjoyed their cocktails, especially the Figaro negroni. The aperol spritz and uppers with downers, their version of espresso martini, were solid. But be warned, the not so dirty martini was definitely dirty. For the food, we came there for their $1.50 happy hour oysters and it comes with a passionfruit granita that we really enjoyed. We also really enjoyed the philly cheesesteak croquette. It was deep fried and very cheesy. We really liked the gochujiang sauce on the chicken and crispy rice waffles, but wanted more chicken to rice ratio and a crispier rice waffle. We also enjoyed the verde flatbread because it had a lot of avocado, but wanted a bit more flavor and/or could use a sauce. The service is very personable and attentive. They have a nice sized dining room for larger parties, but my favorite seating is outside where they have 2 person tables. This restaurant is right in the heart of the NYU are and great for people watching. Sunny Hostin mentioned this place on the View and glad we listened!

I found Figaro's food to be mediocre, expensive, not filling, and lackluster. Lobster Toast was cold. Curry Mussels were just okay. Spinach Rangoons had no flavor with only six measly small pieces. Cocktails were good. However, if want to dine outdoors and people watch on the corner of MacDougal and Bleeker, then it's an ideal spot. You're paying for that vibe. A place for you to be seen. Otherwise, I would not repeat. Despite what others have said, my service was good. I ended up going to a nearby burger and fries shop to end the night better.

Came for brunch. Ordered the BLT and the peach cobbler waffle. The BLT came fast and the bread was soft which is my preference. It was pretty good. I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for the waffle, following up several times, which ruined the dining experience. The waffle was super bready and stacked in three layers so it was awkward to eat. The peaches were sugary--just a poorly thought out carb overload.

We came on a Saturday night with a group of friends celebrating her birthday. We had such a good time. The food is good and service is very attentive. Cocktails are good but it takes little time to get the drinks. The decor is so nice here too. It would be better if they have more food choices because they ran out of some dishes we want to order. Overall, it's good place in the neighborhood.

Everything went well. Service was fantastic, the food was fresh and delicious, and my eyes feasted all around the venue. Great place to people watch and the bar was super lively.

I've been here for brunch when Figaro reopened as a restaurant and recently for dinner. The dishes are hit or miss. The appetizers, flatbread, burger, and seafood dishes are a hit. Unfortunately the pasta and steak dishes we had were not bad, but we didn't care for them and would not re-order. Thankfully the other dishes were flavorful and we were able to pair them together and ended up eating everything. No food was wasted. I'm part of the generation that had frequented the establishment when it was a cafe. While I do miss the experience in its prior life, I do hope the menu changes every now and then. The service was very attentive and hospitable. I would like to come back for that and to enjoy all the eats.

Came here for dinner for a night out with friends on a Saturday night (with a reservation). Food and cocktail were delicious. Their oysters came with the usual horseradish, vinegar, and cocktail sauce... and a passion fruit mignonette - so unique and added a sweet/tangy bite to the oysters! Will come back just for that. We also got the Kale Caesar Salad and Grilled Octopus to share. Grilled octopus was fantastic but the kale needed a bit more massaging to soften the tough/chewy texture. We were happily surprised to be served the rosemary garlic pull apart bread (served at with dinner) and I lied about the oysters. I'd ALSO come back just for these pillow, garlicky bread. For entree we got the branzino and steamed mussels - both very yummy. Great service, great meal, will def be back again!

My husband picked this place to celebrate my birthday with my friends and we LOVED IT!!! The place by itself it's beautiful but the Christmas decorations gives it an extra!! Everything we try was really good but our favorite part was their drinks WOW! You have to try their expresó martini!! We also love how the manager was supervising the tables all the time and making sure we were having a great time! I'd definitely go back again

A venerable NYC institution... oh wait, is this the same place? Yes it is, but this isn't your mama's Le Figaro. It no longer slightly resembles Le Figaro of generations past, the kind of place with chain-smoking geniuses hovered over tiny cups of espresso while scribbling their opus (would their ghosts be appalled by the Figaro of 2024 with its sophisticated ambiance?) The current Yelp page is a brand new one, so I had to do a search for the old photos. It's not really recognizable! I feel conflicted about this, but it's also so very NYC where an entire block may be unrecognizable year to year. My two friends and I were looking to grab a post-dinner drink in the West Village on a recent Friday night and naturally, everything was pretty packed. We spied some space at Figaro and the hostess was cool about us sitting in the dining room since it was past prime dinner hours and the bar itself had no space. We loved the spacious room with its blue banquets and ordered up some spritzes and snacks. There are a few vegan items on the menu and while I wouldn't necessarily want to get dinner here with so many exciting vegan establishments in the vicinity, it's perfect for aperitivo or later in the evening tapas. The generous olives and nuts plate perfectly hit the spot and a great accompaniment to my hugo spritz (expertly made, by the way). Because I had spent happy hour at a place where the acoustics made me a little stabby, I appreciated the music played at a level that allowed for conversation. I had a good time here and although part of me yearns for Le Figaro of the past, I know that I can still hit up Cafe Reggio if I need those old timey Greenwich Village vibes.

Went for a couple drinks with my husband at happy hour. Super friendly and knowledgeable bartender. He made us drinks to our liking and they were perfection. Very nice ambiance inside and a good touch with the branding on the drinks.

Came to Figaro on a Thursday evening during happy hour. After my visit, I left with mixed feelings about the experience. First off, the ambiance is great - the restaurant was very trendy. The service was good too. We were checked on frequently and always had full water cups. Where Figaro really shone for me was in their happy hour drink specials. The aperol spritz was only $10 for happy hour and it was absolutely massive. It had really great flavor too. I would come back here just for the happy hour specials. The food was where I was a little bit disappointed. We tried a variety of dishes: the happy hour flatbread, burrata, and a burger. None of the food was bad, but it fell flat of my expectations. I do have to mention the house bread service though - the bread was absolutely divine!!

Came for happy hour on a Friday and could easily get a table for 5. The oysters were fresh and "Uppers with Downers" (espresso martini) was great. We ended up getting two orders of the Rosemary Garlic Pull Apart Bread because it was that good. It's a cute spot, I'd come back for the vibes. Weird shoutout but the bathrooms are super nice too!

Came here for the second year a row. Originally came here last year on a whim -- incredible drinks and service. This year we were walking by and said why not --- stopped in and was greeted by TJ the bartender. The minute i met TJ he had a profound impact on my day -- guy is just what you want out of a bartender -- outgoing, communicative, creative, but incredibly approachable. If i was having marriage issues, I'd open up to TJ. Worth every penny, every minute spent here -- my wife & i will come back annually.

Decent happy hour spot, with $1.50 oysters and a good selection of drafts/cocktails. Particularly enjoyed the various dressings for the oysters, letting you create whatever flavor profile you want. Passion fruit was a good touch.

Absolutely amazing dining experience! This is our second visit to Figaro . We truly enjoyed their new Fall Menu created by their new chef Milan Some of the highlights: Caviar Service, Burrata and Cauliflower Steak , save room for their delicious desserts. Great service provided by well trained servers. Lovely ambiance, definitely worth visiting over and over again.

I had bookmarked this spot for their spritzer flight. I love the idea and knew my bestie would love to come and try. The spritz flights were fun and delicious. Such a great idea and a good deal I think. We happened to be there around happy hour and they have some great happy hour deals. $10 for an aperol spritz! They also have multiple food items included on their happy hour special. We ordered: - Goat cheese and Fig flatbread - Chicken sliders - Fried Mac and cheese bites - Beef Tartare crostinis - French fries (not on HH special) I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious all the food was. I really hadn't planned on eating much but felt like everything was very tasty. My favorite was the beef tartare crostinis and the goat cheese and fig flatbread. The crostinis were PACKED with flavor in a little bite. Service was a little slow at first (it took about 15 min for us to get our cocktail flights and we were one of the only tables in the restaurant) but it picked up. I think this partly was due to the fact that they were changing over from brunch service to dinner service. The space itself is beautiful. Elegant but not stuffy. It feels very light and airy. The restaurant is quite big and can accommodate a large party. Overall I was super happy with my experience here and had a great time. I look forward to coming back. 4.6/5

Food menu is nothing exciting. It was fine but not great. Pros: outdoor cafe seating and people watching. Would be great to sit outside with your dog. Spritz options. Espresso martinis also looked fantastic Cons: service is horrible and super slow. Had to ask for water four times before getting it and took 30+ minutes to order food. Hostess tried to take a diners chair when she was in the restroom and didn't see why that would be a problem. Closing out took forever. Server rarely checked on us. Avoid at all costs if you're in any sort of rush.

I used to love this place and visited frequently, but we recently had a terrible experience. While processing our bill, they charged our card for someone else's table without informing us. We only signed for our own bill, but when we got home, we found two charges: one for us and one for another table. We went back to report this, and they confirmed that another bill had been charged to us. Although they agreed to issue a refund, the manager was never apologetic during the process, not a sorry, absolutely nothing when we asked how could this happen - nothing at all again!! It's frustrating to be charged fraudulently without any acknowledgment of the mistake. The amount wasn't large, but getting the refund was a hassle; had to follow up with the manager multiple times to finally resolve it. I honestly cannot trust this establishment anymore.

Love, love, LOVE Figaro. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and the beautiful presentation of each dish just adds to the overall experience. Lively & warm/welcoming ambience with a diverse cocktail menu plus some that are even on tap! Also, love the French café feel if you sit outside overlooking Bleecker or MacDougal Street. :) PS They have a great EVERYDAY food + drink happy hour 3:30-6:30pm!

Chic restaurant spot! We stopped in just for drinks before a show. they had excellent menu of drink options and exceptional bartenders. we went during the brunch/lunch period and it looked like a popular spot. will definitely be going back to dine and try out the brunch experience

As usual food was perfect and delicious but what really stood out was the exceptional service stuff went up and above with their assistance, Absolutely impress. The kitchen and staff went above and beyond to accommodate my special requests, which made a big difference. Every visit chef personally comes to check on my food prep special request make it as perfect as I want - and always hit 100%! Now, exiting about new chef (Hailey - I believe) that started this week- she personally came and introduce her to us that was very nice Small touches like that make big difference. The music selection was also great, and the volume was just right for me. And let's not forget about the bathrooms - they're absolutely amazing! They feel like stepping into a different world. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Figaro, and I'll definitely be back. Thanks again for everything! Thank you guys !!!

TLDR: just go somewhere else Came with my sister who was visiting from out of town for brunch on a Sunday. We were one of maybe 3 tables, but service was pretty slow. We got avocado toast, deviled eggs with caviar, and an omelette. The chicories were so wet and limp it seemed old. The caviar was mushy. Everything just tasted off like the avocado was very acidic it almost tasted like it was packaged. We ended up not eating one of the dishes and they were nice enough to refund us for the dish so I'll give them another star for that. The interior was quite cute, which is why we entered in the first place, but probably the worst brunch I've had in NYC. I should've gotten the hint from the fact that it was practically empty on a Sunday during brunch hours. Overall: Maybe dinner is better?

OMG, this is now on my "I'm down for this any time" list for when my spouse asks where to go for dinner. Phenomenal spinach artichoke rangoons and kale salad. Somewhat large portions but had every single bite because YUM. The chef even came by and said hi! Atmosphere was so sophisticated and unique.

I had an amazing time for my Anniversary Dinner yesterday, my server was Elena, she was excellent, caring, attentive. My food came out top notch. We started with spicy tuna crispy rice and the Rosemary Bread with sour cream ( to die for) . We both ordered Steak Frites for our main. To top off the dinner, we also got the strawberry cobbler. Everything is freshly made and tasted great. We enjoyed our outing and experience!

Every time I go to NYC I visit Figaro twice, minimum. They have become a go to staple in my NYC trips- they are THAT GOOD!

This place sucked. My friends and I decided to go here to celebrate my friends birthday on a Saturday night. The waiters were nice, but besides that the kitchen was awful. We were a group of 8, and arrived at 8:15 and ordered the flatbread as an appetizer, that came after an hour. At 10:10 (waiting for the food for 2 hours), the food still wasn't cooked, so we decided to get up and leave. We still had to pay for the drinks which is upsetting despite having to wait for 2 HOURS WITH NO FOOD!!! Please don't go here to eat, this place is a joke.

My girlfriends and stopped by for a few cocktails and we were pleasantly surprised by all of the Spritz options. I had the yuzu spritz and it did not disappoint! Shania took great care of us and made sure we had a great girls night. Sitting outside also lent itself to some fun people watching. Highly recommend!

Exquisite food....Absolutely delicious and beautifully plated dishes. The ambience and aesthetic of the restaurant itself felt intimate elegant and inviting. The professionalism of the staff and attentiveness of them would absolutely have us coming back again and again. I would highly recommend Figaro to anyone who is looking for something new or who hasn't been there because it truly is a gem. 10/10

Sunday brunch: The service was very slow, It wasn't crowded enough to justify the slowness. The food: regular. The drinks were well prepared. My husband had to order a gin and tonic twice because they had forgotten it.

Last night my wife and I had a very enjoyable experience here, sitting outside and dining on the watermelon salad and fig flatbread. As well as wine and beer. Both dishes were tasty and the service was very good. I don't hesitate to recommend this spot should you find yourself in the neighborhood.

Great service with a nice bar and music. Cocktails were very good as was the food. Definitely worth upgrading to truffle fries, they were crispy and delicious. Good portions too. Only miss was the amount of sides to the dipping.

I selected Figaro as the destination for a business lunch with colleagues, based on the positive reviews, interesting menu, and convenient location. The restaurant was pretty empty on the summer Friday, but that also helped us experience quick service. The restaurant was a modern revival of a 1950's classic, and it showed the décor, which had both contemporary and historical accents. When it came to the food, I opted for the Quinoa Salad with Grilled Chicken. The grain had been tossed with chickpeas, corn, and avocado, and was then drizzled with a sundried tomato vinaigrette. It was really the perfect fresh blend for the summer time. However, I would have liked more of it than the small scoop on the side of my plate. The chicken breast had been pounded thin, which I liked, but it was extremely bland and reminded me of those pre-cut strips you buy in the supermarket refrigerator section. As a table, we shared a side of the Fried Brussels Sprouts with a soy ginger sauce and marcona almonds, which was flavorful but burnt. Overall, I thought it was a decent meal, but I had also hoped for more.

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the manager was exceptionally kind and gracious and comped our meal after the bad experience. However, our blonde waitress was very rude and hostile, making the experience very uncomfortable. She put other people's dirty dishes on our table while cleaning something else up. On top of that, the food was cold, mushy and undercooked. The female waitress was rude from the second we sat down. When we didn't like our meal (yet we still offered to pay for it) she gaslit us saying we finished half our plates (NOT TRUE) and wasn't listening when we said we had to send it back. My friends and I are NEVER ones to send food back but it was inedible. I wanted to love this place because the vibes are cute aesthetically but the female waitress ruined the vibe of our Saturday brunch. The manager was very kind and comped the bill and brought dessert. He was the best part of this experience. 10000% would only consider coming back because of him

We have seen this establishment when we frequent Bleeker. We had been meaning to go in. Tonight we did. Food was ok. We ordered the Mussels, a lot of them were not opened all the way. The Figaro flat bread was dry. And the bone Marrow was just ok. Not much marrow. Big bones, but not much marrow. My husband had a dirty martini, and a Tiny glass. Service was very slow.

Insane aperol spritz menu! Probably the best in the city. Stumbled upon this gorgeous cafe off mcdougal. They have the best outdoor seating setup and inside is just such a vibe. Figaro has a daily 5-7 happy hour making it easy to just grab a drink during a hot summer evening. Not only do they have aperol spritzes but also 4 or 5 different flavors that you can get (also served in a flight if you want to try a little bit of everything). I cannot say enough good things about this place. Can't wait to go back all the time.

Cocktails are sooooo good! The bartenders were friendly and the space is beautiful. Highly recommend this place if you're hanging out with the girls or in the mood for a martini.

Amazing spot in west village, it has such a European summer feel with tbt airy indoor outdoor vibe. The ambiance and decor is fun, a great place to sip on some spritz and people watch with friends. They have an amazing hh with $10 cocktails including aperol spritz and espresso martinis. Service was attentive. Looking forward to spending more summer days with friends here!

Love this place for their oyster happy hour. We made it with 10 minutes to spare and they were so accommodating getting us set up with a table outside and getting our order in time. Great oysters and other bites with a wine selection for happy hour. Beautiful interior which added to our experience

Beautiful ambiance in the dining room AND the bathrooms. The food was delicious. Went with a party of 11 and we didn't have to wait long at all for appetizers or main courses. The chef, Milan, came out to announce us the desserts and was such a great person and so helpful and kind. The drinks were also DELICIOUS. Such a good espresso martini. Would definitely go back.

The Happy Meal burger was incredible and a great deal!!! The spinach artichoke Rangoons were good too. The chicken and crispy rice waffle wasn't great - very dry. Drinks weren't very strong and wine pour was a bit weak. We sat outside and it was a fun corner to people watch.

My whole experience at Figaro was amazing, I had Chicken as my main course, and it was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. Whole dish was super juicy with crispy skin and extra crispy potatoes. Garlic bread was so good that I took my first bite even before I took a picture. Besides amazing food, service was even better. Peter made sure I got everything I needed and was really patient since I needed more time to decide what to eat. He highly suggested that amazing chicken that I can't stop talking about. All together it was really pleasant and nice, I would definitely recommend Figaro, and come back to try other things on the menu.

Comfortable relatively new place on a restaurant-dense block in west village. A bit pricey for what it is. But lots of room, strong drinks, decent apps, nice service. This one is new owners but there's been a Figaro (used to be Cafe Figaro) on this spot for 60 years, so I chose it for nostalgia purposes.
