"They say it’s the little things in life that bring us the most pleasure. And at FIG, the all-day cafe inside The Fairmont hotel in Santa Monica, that little thing is the best happy hour on the Westside. Every Tuesday-Saturday, for one truly happy hour (5pm-6pm), nearly the entire FIG menu is 50% off. The food is solid, the atmosphere is chill, and the drinks are quite stiff. Let’s get at it. Prior to visiting FIG, we associated The Fairmont hotel with another establishment housed on the hotel grounds, The Bungalow. You may also know it as the land of former sorority girls, as*holes, and really old guys. FIG is an extreme contrast to the rowdy, obnoxious crowd that infiltrates Bungalow. It’s tucked off the hotel lobby and has a quiet, casual California vibe that appeals to people who have some self-respect. The menu is seasonal and all ingredients are locally sourced, so it changes frequently. (We know, like every other place in LA.) You can easily eat alone at the bar, with a bigger group in the main dining room, or outside on a small patio overlooking the hotel pool. Sitting on the patio means you will stare at Euros in aggressively small bathing suits, but nothing says happy hour like a French guy in a translucent speedo. The generous happy hour discounts also extend deep into the beer and wine stock. Heck, even bottles. If you want to order 15 bottles, pop them, and pour them on yourself, that’s cool with us. FIG is a solid restaurant at any point in the day, but we’ll go on paper as saying it’s a personal crime to visit outside the hours of 5pm-6pm. So plan it out, arrive on time, and don’t miss one second of this hour-long bliss. Or the Frenchman in that speedo. Like we said, it’s the little things. Food Rundown Charcuterie sampler and cheese board The cheese and meat selection here is pretty extensive and can be a little daunting so we let the good people of FIG select them for us. And when it comes to meat and cheese, they know what’s up. The goat cheese from Sofia, Indiana is our favorite and you weren’t expecting to read that at the end of a charcuterie blurb. Spicy fries Crispy and served with Harissa and garlic mayo. We could write three pages declaring our love for these fries. The fiery chili paste mixed with the garlic mayo was like nothing we’ve ever had. Spicy Shrimp and Avocado toast Just when you thought avocado toast couldn't be more of a cliche, they throw spicy shrimp on it. Charred Octopus Pretty standard for charred octopus. It’s on the smaller side and is served with caper berries, butter beans, sherry vinegar and mint. We enjoyed the butter beans. Fried Cauliflower This comes with Kalamata olives, Calabrian chilis, pine nuts, and Tahini. This was a little soggy, but we didn’t sweat it because it was 50% off. This is the lowest number of stars I am allowed to score this store but in reality it's a 0. The customer service from the manager was absolutely dreadful! She was not helpful in any way. We asked about store hours and she didn't know what the hours were for the next day. Before I could finish asking questions she hung up the phone. When we came to pick up the order the next day they had switched 2 orders and our order was not correct so we had to wait another 25 minutes for them to remake the order. There was 3 employees in the store who all seemed miserable and don't want to be there at all! I don't know how this team was assembled but if I'm going to pay this much for custom scrubs then I definitely expect at least a friendly face or an apology when they mess up. I will definitely never buy from this store again. LA has many great custom scrub options so I will look into those instead of this brand. Very disappointing first and last experience!!

Cool shop! First time I’ve ever been to a Figs shop - though I have at least 5 complete sets from online retail haha It was cool that they had new styles on display, and they do in-store engraving for ease of use for any health care professional. Would recommend stopping in!

I’ve been to this store twice now. The first time was great, second time? Not so much. I work in medical device sales, so I know how important it is to actually listen to your customer. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted: XS tops and M bottoms in specific colors. The associate brought me completely different colors, and the sizing was wrong. I even double-checked with him and clarified again, but he still came back with the wrong size and then just walked off to help someone else like our conversation was done. I was kind and patient the whole time, but after the second mix-up, I just folded everything and left it in the dressing room. He watched me leave and didn’t say a word or try to make it right. It’s frustrating because my first visit was so helpful and positive, but this experience left a bad taste. I still like the brand, but the inconsistency in customer service is disappointing especially when you know exactly what you want and still leave empty-handed.

I have been using FIGS for years. I have every color and style and I was excited to be at this store. That excitement quickly faded. The process to get a size and to try them out is ridiculous. I waited and waited for approximately 30 min and finally left. The staff lacks customer service and not friendly at all. Save your time and energy…. BUY ONLINE! Online return and exchange process is so easy. Their representative is always so accommodating.

Disappointing to say the least. Staff are just NOT nice and lacks operational process. To be blunt, you’ll get better service purchasing online. To be more specific, my wife and daughter waited to try on several of the scrubs. 30 minutes later, they were still waiting because they were “in line”. When they inquired about the wait, the staff appeared annoyed and said they’re still waiting for the scrub. We’re not even sure what that means. Just purchase it online and don’t waste your time in this store.

Terrible Experience I had a really disappointing experience at this FIGS store. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly rude. I asked about recycling my old scrubs, and instead of a polite response, the employee snapped, “Well, you’re not going to get $50 off since the store is on sale.” I told them that was fine — I still wanted to recycle my scrubs — but the attitude was already off-putting. Next, they had a “waitlist” for the fitting room, even though the store was practically empty. I ended up waiting 30 minutes just to try on scrubs. When I finally did, I tried on the Kade Cargo pants and told the associate I wanted that exact pair. The pants I tried had a price tag and sizing clearly labeled. But when I got home and opened my bag, the pants had no price tag — and they were not the same ones I tried on. Different style, different fit. The receipt said “Kade Cargo,” but that’s not what I received. It honestly felt like they purposely swapped the pants and removed the tag hoping I wouldn’t notice. Extremely shady. I called customer service, and they confirmed the item number didn’t match the Kade Cargo pants at all. Thankfully, they made it right —but the entire experience was frustrating and felt dishonest. What’s even more disappointing is that I’ve heard from friends and family who’ve had bad experiences at this same location, so it seems like this kind of thing is a pattern. Save yourself the trouble and just order online.

I arrived exhausted after work needing new scrubs for the next day. Isabelle was attentive, patient, went the extra mile to help me find the right pair, and you can tell that she cares. Thanks Isabelle! 4 stars bc the tall gal at checkout was less unfriendly and unpleasant.

I had an incredible experience at this location. Michelle was great and attentive giving the upmost in customer service. I had a size issue with an online purchase and she was able to resolve the issue and get me into the right size. Can’t recommend coming here for your scrubs enough.

I recently started a new job that requires me to wear scrubs. I have never worn scrubs before so this was a new experience for me. I looked online and while there are many uniform shops in West LA, FIGS kept coming up time and time again. At first I thought they were just online, but they have a storefront at the Westfield Century City. Great staff! Try on various styles and sizes there. Not everything is necessarily in stock for purchase , but everything is available online. Location is there to help with styles and fits. You can also do embroidery onsite. There sizes do run small, but since I can try all the sizes, I tried the Tansen Scrub pants and the Chisec Three pocket top! Anti-wrinkle fabric. Make sure to wash in cold water!

My first experience in the figs store was quite disappointing. I am a newly licensed nurse and was super excited for new scrubs. I live over an hour away from this location, so I called to inquire about in store sizing. As I had ordered a set online but they run small. I was advised they carried from a size S all the way up to 6x in store. After arriving to the store, Adriana pointed me in the direction of the women's scrubs and when I asked her about the sizing I needed (I had to go up one size larger than my normal size for figs), she responded "no. small, medium, or large." When I let her know that I had driven over an hour to be there and called in prior to confirm, her response was "I'll ask." She confirmed larger sizing and added me to a waitlist for the fitting rooms. The wait was going to be a while, so when prompted with a text to come back I stood at the door which was blocked with a rope waiting for someone to allow me in. Adriana made eye contact with me as I tried to wave her down and completely ignored me. Adriana only shared unkind looks and lacked knowledge on their items. This really took my excitement for Figs downhill. Furthermore, they say they carry larger, more inclusive sizing in store, but do not expect a variety. Anything above a large comes only in black. Figs scrubs feel nice and look nice, but sizing is off. You'll have more luck finding better colors online.

Terrible customer service. If you can even call it customer service. Two people working there and neither acknowledged me. They both went right to the couple that walked in at the same time as me. Mind you I was wearing figs as well. When I finally got the attention of the girl working there, she kept making "mean girl" faces and had a major "mean girl" attitude. I felt so uncomfortable I just walked out. And they only have the basic boring colors from Figs, none of the fun bright colors, they have way more online. So if you already know your sizes, I'd say don't bother coming here, not worth it. I really don't understand why they even bothered having a store here. I don't think it will be here for long. It doesn't make any sense and the customer service is plane awful. Very unpleasant experience. Won't be back.

I wanted to buy online however I wasn't sure what size I wanted to go with that would fit me best. I'm glad this Figs was not too far from me but don't go during traffic time lol. I already knew what I wanted. It was gonna be my first pair. Very helpful. Like 3-4 employees that were on standby to help. Very clean. I would recommend going here! :)

This in-person FIGS store is awesome! The staff here are so sweet and the layout of this location is so organized making for a seamless and quick customer experience! If you are in the market for a new pair of scrubs, I definitely would recommend to try on a pair of their high waisted Zamora joggers if you haven't already, my favorite style by far.

Literally the worst model for shopping ever. I walked in and it was a good seven minutes before anyone acknowledged me which is annoying because there were several people working and you are not able to grab things and try them on like a traditional store, you have to wait for a store associate to get you the items you want.

If I had known there was a FIGS store before purchasing online, I definitely would've gone in to try on the scrubs first to determine the size that fits me well. Also, it was really nice to have a physical store to be able to try on different styles that I wouldn't have considered when purchasing online. What I love about my experience from this store was how easy it was to exchange the size from my online purchase. Shoutout to Michelle for helping me throughout the entire process and making my exchange so easy!

TLDR: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I am a female working in medicine who went to the FIGS store on a weekday afternoon to buy new scrubs with a male friend who is not in medicine. The male employee (forgot his name) immediately went over to my friend and started asking him about what items, sizes, colors he was looking for and explaining the embroidery process -- didn't for a second acknowledge me or even look in my direction. I guess he couldn't imagine what a girl would be doing in the FIGS store ... My friend understood what was happening and played along while I browsed the racks waiting for someone to come up and offer to help me. I did this for at least 10 minutes without anyone coming up to me (context: is a tiny store -- there were 2 other employees just standing there at the desk less than 10ft away not doing anything and there was no one else in the store besides us). I was a loyal FIGS customer and in need of new scrubs but walked out pissed. For a company that claims to support women in medicine, you sure have some crappy employees. Do better, FIGS.

Horrible customer service. Employees are condescending, rude, not friendly, and consistently makes mistakes. The employees do not smile and pick and choose who they want to offer water to. When they are pulling and bagging up orders, they do not write down the order or punch them into a device to ensure accuracy. Instead, they try to memorize everything you say which results in so many mistakes. Then when you ask to see what is in the bag or to double check the order, they tell you they will go over the order with you on their device and will email the receipt. Now I have items in the wrong size and style that I need to exchange but I would rather call in to customer service and wait than drive the long distance there.

Figs is a really quaint store, small but straight to the point. I was helped right away by one of the workers (Kevin) who made you feel right at home and his service was very quick and polite. They also have a great in store selection and they can always give you the option to order to home as long as the size is in stock online. Figs has always been good value as well and the scrubs I picked up fit excellent. If you need more scrubs for great quality go check them out.

Literally the best experience ever! I came with my boyfriend to purchase some scrubs for his dad's birthday and Isabelle was an absolute dream. We came in a few minutes before closing (8:40pm) and she was the absolute sweetest and so helpful with our purchase. She not only helped us choose from a multitude of options, but she ended up looking up his email to see his purchase history and we were able to get his exact style of scrub tops that he likes. Truthfully such a great experience, definitely come here for help, both girls were amazing!

Overpriced for it's quality. Bought scrubs from here a month ago and thought the quality justified the price.. 2 odd my brand new scrubs have already shrunk. And yes even in a low heat setting in the air dryer. Don't buy scrubs from here unless you have time to hand wash and air dry these scrubs.
