"Fika, a Swedish-inspired cafe and bakery, closed all of its New York City locations following its recent bankruptcy filing. The cafe, known for its coffee and chocolate, had seven locations left, a significant drop from its peak of 17 cafes. Fika opened in 2006 and expanded rapidly, but quick growth led to store closures and a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Last year, it was auctioned off to investors. All remaining cafes closed last Friday." - Carla Vianna

This is my favorite coffee place in NYC. The staff are super friendly and fast. The coffee is great, lots of pastries and chocolates treats to choose from. I love the big windows and atmosphere, great place to meet friends, do some work or just to relax over good cup of coffee.

Good coffee, delicious truffles and chocolates. Love their pastries most of all. I'm a regular customer getting my morning coffee and muffin and the staff is friendly, always has my drink ready. Great way to start my day

Bands were awesome, especially "Key Lime Pie" with their mix of Rock, jazz, pop, renditions of Pokemon, Nintendo themes, Imperial March, rocking Santa baby, and jazzed up Carol of the bells! Due to noise, I know the restaurant can't run the coffee grinders and frothers, but I suggest they offer basic perk coffees, pastries and beer were excellent

Not recommended. The latte I got was both watery and bitter -- a rare experience. The barista making it was seemingly trying, but had no idea how to brew espresso shots. Very disappointing, since the latte I got there two months ago was exceptional (made by someone else on staff).

Great coffee, cozy little spots to chat with friends and focus on some work. Very reasonably priced and great quality beans. I recommend the iced coffee; robust flavor and mellow on the caffeine.

Often when I'm meeting people for coffee New York, I will choose to go to a Fika cafe. I like the aesthetic it's usually very modern inside. I enjoy their chocolates which are made by a friend of mine, but that's not what makes them good. They're really good especially the quinoa hazelnut chocolate! This one is smaller than some of them, but it's a good spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood.

Good coffee & snacks, healthy & indulgent alike, but best of all a very bright and laidback do some light laptop work, or meet a friend because the music isn't loud (or bad) and they keep it very immaculately clean.

Great location, friendly staff, and nice tea! I really liked the volume of the music here. It's a perfect place to chat with your friends and family and to work. Highly recommend!
