"There are plenty of coffee shops in FiDi that work for meetings, but if you don’t want to call your medium-sized beverage a “grande,” then your options are more limited, and you should head to Fika. This mini-chain is Scandinavian-inspired, and even if you’re not in the mood for shrimp salad with dill on house bread, you can still make use of the bright, comfortable space that has plenty of seating. This FiDi location is large, especially for the neighborhood, and has a bunch of booths, as well as communal tables that work for meetings with bigger groups." - Matt Tervooren

Cool little place. It’s got a nice vibe to it, very modern. It’s a great place to come and grab coffee with a friend to talk for a bit. Prices are affordable, service is quick, and drink quality is on point. Nice location for some desert coffee after grabbing dinner.

My iced mocha was delicious! We when stopped in they did not have any regular coffee which my husband wanted, he had to settle for an Americano. Tip: They do not have flavors/syrups. I wanted a vanilla latte which she could not make.

Google
Fika has fantastic coffee and pastries/chocolates. The baristas are masters of their craft and friendly and welcoming. Truly a remarkable establishment and I'm so happy they have grown in the years since I first went!

Visit here every time I'm in the city. Consistently great cappuccinos, sandwiches and oatmeal

Google
I would give the staff five stars- courteous and didn’t mind sharing details about the coffee menu. The coffee is very standard. I got a drip medium coffee which tasted dark and nothing special. Coffee Menu is limited. Lattes are served in 12oz with a single shot ($5) where I typically take a single shot in a 8oz. Disclosure- I’ve been living in Portland Oregon the last two years so my coffee standard are very high and easily met there.

Google
Special emphasis on quality espresso. Full service - food is okay (more of an afterthought) but very complete menu offering. Well maintained and clean atmosphere. Attentive service staff. Large seating area. The stand out is the high quality espresso/coffee - perhaps a bit more expensive than Starbucks but much better.

If you are looking for a great cup of coffee, go to this place! It gets quite busy at times, but the line moves quickly. I always get a latte and have never been disappointed! They also sell many very tasty cookies and desserts. I find the staff here very friendly and helpful - it's as if they really enjoy what they do! Also, prices are a bit higher than other coffee shops, but the quality of the coffee at FIKA is what you are paying more for. It is worth it!

Google
Very good coffee. Priced a little high but I'm sure that's because of the rent.

Yelp
Really beautiful coffee shop! Lots of seating and comfortable seating. Nice music, sometimes it's a little loud - especially if you're trying to work. Great menu! I loved the tres leche latte, and how fun that it was in a pouch. Easy to walk around with it! Also had a chocolate chip cookie that was fantastic. They had all this cute merch. And salsas that I definitely want to buy next time!

Jessie H.

Yelp
Decent gourmet coffee - Iced drinks come in a little bag which is kind of awkward because it doesn't seal all the way due to the straw so it might spill if you are no careful. I would have preferred a cup but I think people like it since it's new and different. I got an iced cold brew for $7. They also sell coffee beans. There is some seating but it is limited as it does get packed. I think they also have other locations.

Yelp
Located on Pearl St. near Broad St. in the Financial District, lower Manhattan. We stopped here for evening coffee after dinner as it was near our hotel. We tried their 'Flat White', which tasted super good and a 'Herbal Tea'. The tea was also good but to my surprise, it was sweet. Not what I'm used to when it comes to tea, but it was satisfying, especially during this cold evening. They also have pastries to go with your coffee. They have a nice and comfortable setup in their lobby. Service was great, very friendly, welcoming, and nice baristas. Overall, we had a good experience at this coffee shop and will definitely return while in town.

Yelp
Looking for local coffee shops in the Financial District, I stumbled across 787 Coffee. On my way to work, I stopped into 787 Coffee to get a hot chocolate at around 7:20 A.M! Currently 787 Coffee Shop locations are in New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. The coffee process starts in Maricao, Puerto Rico! The beans are grown at the highest mountain tops and no chemicals are used! The team member at the register had informed me about the history of 787 Coffee since it was my first time at their location in the Financial District! I ended up ordering a medium hot chocolate and one order of their blueberry loaf slice. It was freshly baked! The blueberries were super scrumptious and the loaf was perfect! The bread was soft and crumbly! The hot chocolate was yummy too! It was a great breakfast! I'm so glad I had a chance to stop inside 787 Coffee! If I am in the Financial District and looking for a place to get some hot chocolate, I'll have to stop by 787 Coffee again! The team members at this location are helpful and friendly!

Yelp
Did I have the best americano of my life at 787 Coffee? Honestly, maybe. I was in New York, looking for a coffee spot in the Financial District, and came across this place. Walking in felt like a quick escape to San Juan -- cozy, spacious (especially for NYC!), with decor that makes it feel homey without overdoing the whole "Latin-inspired" theme. The service was spot on. The barista was really friendly, and since it wasn't too crowded we even chatted a bit. I also grabbed a chicken empanada, and wow, it was good enough to make me wish I'd ordered more. If you're in the area, make sure to check this place out. 787 Coffee hits all the right notes.

Sydney R.

Yelp
What a cute spot! Service was amazing, the staff was so sweet and helpful. Not pictured is my delicious tres leche latte! Everything was so good, the chicken empanadas were so flavorful and served hot! Would recommend if you need a little pick me up, or just want a small taste of PR. Also-- if you want a questio, make sure you go early enough! They sell fast for a reason !

Shane B.

Yelp
Nestled in a corner of the side of a hotel, you might miss it... but don't. Although misleading, the rum infused cold brew was delicious, and definitely packed a great and unique taste. I bit on the pricey side for lack of alcohol, but that's NYC for you! What a personality of the barista --- he was the best part! Very conversational with you as he makes your drink! The pouch your cold brew (not caprisun as a person called it to me later on), is just as easy to walk around Broadway and Times Square. While I feel it's not something to do over and over again, it's well worth a try for something different around town!

Rob W.

Yelp
My girlfriend's cold brew came out in what amounted to a plastic IV bag with a straw in it. Why would anyone willingly choose this as a delivery device for a liquid? If this is the "I'm old and crotchety and screaming at clouds" hill I'm going to die on, that's fine, I am comfortable with that. My hot coffee fortunately arrived in a more standard paper cup but was rather mediocre. Everything seemed rather expensive too ($12+ for an iced and hot coffee). Service felt slow (was down here early for a nearby event, and in fairness it was kind of crowded) so fortunately not my regular coffee haunt--seemed like a quite and quirky spot, but overall I'd be pretty annoyed if it were my regular.

Ploy N.

Yelp
Enjoyed their Coquito and Horchata Lattes. The Puerto Rican twist was fun and made for tasty drinks. They also got good-looking treats. Service was a bit slow though cause there was only one barista.

Shannon S.

Yelp
I ordered a horchata latte. It was very flavorful, I could really taste the cinnamon in the latte. I would so get it again. The drinks come in a pouch, think capri sun, very nostalgic. I also had a chicken empanada, it was ok, flavor wise, I didn't care for the seasonings on the chicken, I wouldn't get it again. The shop is very cute, I visited on a Saturday and it was full of people. The service was great.

Tom Y.

Yelp
Amazingly full aroma of coffee. The coffee was amazing, the people were amazing, and the barista was amazing. The vibe of this place is something I love. Glad I visited here again this month. Looking forward to visiting here next month.

Katy Z.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place because I was intrigued by how they had coffee in plastic bags. The last time I had a drink in a plastic bag like this was in China or Ecuador. The interior was very cute and corky. It had clocks on the wall but had painted watch bands that made it seem like a giant watch. There were plenty. of seats for those that would like to sit and enjoy their coffee, though they don't have any AC. My cousin and I ordered the Mazapan ($8) and the Coquito ($8). It is a tad pricy for a latte but I guess inflation and all. The coquito latte seemed to be the most recommended on yelp so I figured I give it a try. It was however, VERY sweet and not something I had anticipated in my coffee drink. You can really taste the expresso taste with subtle hints of coconut. I usually take my coffee less sweet so this gave me a huge sugar rush. My cousin's mazapan latte was really good. I actually wished I got this one instead. I did not choose this one because the menus online said that it was "a sweet and nutty experience". I did not mind the nuttiness but I did not want something so sweet. However, the mazapan latte was actually less sweet than the coquito but a lot! It says it contains peanuts inside, but the nutty flavor seemed more like a sesame to me, which I really liked. The barista recommended added rum to the lattes but I opted out of it just because I am not the largest fan of rum. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would stop by again if I was in the neighborhood. But this time, for the mazapan latte instead.

L.B. Z.

Yelp
The barista was sweet as could be and the ambiance is very warm and comfortable. The chicken empanada tastes 3.5/5 and the latte was delicious. $16 is steep for a latte and empanada so I will come here for a treat just now and then.

Joann S.

Yelp
Had the tres leches first time and coquito second. Coquito was my favorite by far! I wish they had other milk alternatives since I'm lactose intolerant. Their only milk alternative is oat milk which I'm unfortunately allergic to. A lot of seating, music is a little too loud if you're studying without headphones. Staff is nice (:

Steph D.

Yelp
Great vibes as soon as you walk in! We came here to check out what all the hype is about and surely so did everyone else midday during a weekday. They have some small tables and couches but it's pretty crammed, cute hole in the wall kinda feel. Their coffee is delicious, you can tell they make it with their special love sauce! Friendly welcoming service!

Monia N.

Yelp
visiting new york, ran into this place to escape the cold outside and was so pleasantly surprised! the barista explained that they were a puerto rican based coffee shop and had three different types of beans at the counter with descriptions of the notes for each one. i'm not a huge coffee drinker so i grabbed a matcha latte and it was rlly good! a bit sweet for my taste but the matcha itself seemed to be high quality. they told me they had a couple locations open out in el paso and were working on opening a houston location which i can't wait for!

Britney G.

Yelp
Found 787 Coffee while searching for coffee near my hotel. I was intrigued by their Dulce Leche Latte and had to try it. The coffee shop ambiance is on point and the barista was nice. He suggested I try the rum coffee beans and a empanada. The Latte was really good and met my expectations.

Sydney E.

Yelp
Always really nice workers, accidentally spilled coffee and Martin cleaned it for me :) They have a bathroom too so it's a perf study spot, I come here all the time

Erik B.

Yelp
It's obviously easy to find coffee anywhere in the city but if you're looking for an off label, high quality, customer service-oriented "hole in the wall" coffee shop then this is the perfect place to go. You'll see what the photographs of white array of coffee, selections, and even a swing to sit and sip your coffee while gazing out to the street. The interior decorator for this coffee shop should also be commended. There are beautiful flowers, decorating the walls and chic lighting to help emphasize meaningful phrases in our every day lives. Coffee is excellent and I highly recommend this coffee shop!

Farrah B.

Yelp
It happened to be in the area for an event and it was the wrong day. So, feeling a little defeated, I noticed there were different businesses in the area that I could check out from my lists. Lo and behold, right around the corner, 787 was there like a shining Beacon. I had my mouth set for a quesito and one of those specialty infused lattes that they're famous for. The space was reticent of an old meets new cafes in Puerto Rico with a great vibe. The staff was super nice, offering a sniff of the alcohol infused beans to help make a decision for a drink. I went with a whiskey infused horchata Latte and it was robust and flavorful. $11 plus a tip is higher on the range for the little pouch, but quality is not cheap. Sadly enough, the quesitos were all gone. I will definitely be back when the even actually happens or when I'm in the area.

Charlie N.

Yelp
The coffee is very interesting! I never had vegan coffee before well then again they do pride themselves on the coffee they grow. Aside from just coffee, I was very impressed on the ambiance of this place. For a coffee place in Fidi it's actually very open space. The vibe is very good with decorations as well. Service was averaged. Again I really like the ambiance here aside from the coffee they actually grow. I got their dripped coffee and it is pretty heavy and strong. I'll probably come back and try other drinks as well. If you're looking for an ambiance coffee place to get some quick work done, I would recommend!

Karol Josef B.

Yelp
The service in this cafe was one of the best I've experienced. I chose to work from here for a whole day, and one of the baristas went around a few times to give people working in the cafe a cup of water. I was blown away. The iced latte was perfectly made for me in that the roast wasn't too strong. The vibe was also perfect for getting some heads down work done with a more low key setting, and there are various types of seating for you to plop down on. There is also good WiFi, charging ports, and a restroom which was nice and clean.

Atiq R.

Yelp
Great coffee shop, nice decoration! Everything's great except that infused shot that they keep recommending often times customer not noticing that it costs extra $3 bucks! It tastes just the same coffee/espresso.. but 3 bucks more for no reason! Features - good coffee - no tall seating - Wi-Fi - restroom

Gayl A.

Yelp
Really cozy spot. Service was quick. However, $6 for a relatively small cup of plain black tea is kind of outrageous, even for Manhattan.

Caridad L.

Yelp
First time here.Very nice setting. Customer service was great. Tried the coquito latte..AMAZING

Dana L.

Yelp
We stopped in for a coffee break to take shelter from the crazy winds this afternoon. I got a flat white and my boyfriend got an Americana, both with oat milk. We both got the classic bean, but I would definitely return to try the rum and whiskey infused beans as well. We also had a slice of homemade banana bread which was moist and not overly sweet. The barista was friendly and hilarious and picked a thicker slice of banana bread for us :) The interior is really nicely decorated and the seating area feels comfortable and homey. Would highly recommend for an afternoon coffee break and will be back to try their speciality drinks!

Emmeline W.

Yelp
Cozy space & good coffee. I stopped by around 8am on a weekend and it was the perfect spot to catch up on some work before heading to a conference. Found this spot since it was a 5 min walk away from my hotel. Pretty empty in the morning. Wifi is fast, plenty of outlets near tables. My order came out within 5 mins of placing. MOCHA LATTE: Solid mocha! Rich, velvety, and super caffeinated. Coffee flavor is bold & strong. I played it safe since I'm not a coconut/cinnamon fan, but their menu's signature drinks were quite tempting. CHICKEN EMPANADA: Toasty, shredded chicken, though on the drier/saltier side. Staff are lovely! They're patient with questions and extremely attentive-- even with fewer patrons around, they still made sure to tidy up any tables and ask how folks were doing. Restrooms were super clean.

Maya R.

Yelp
Awesome vibe very hipster and cute. Bartender was very kind and gave good recommendations. Coffee was really good as well and I'm not even a coffee person.

Romana Y.

Yelp
Hippie cafe that was phenomenal! Wonderful crew, amazing drinks, and great vibes here. Horchata latte- 5+ Excellent flavor, not too sweet and not too spicy/chai-like. Loved it! Lattes (iced and hot)- 5 Coquito- 4.5 Choc cookie- 4 Lattes come in sippy bags. Great location and coffee.

Jonah M.

Yelp
Very good coffee shop. I was craving some hot chocolate with espresso (mocha) and they had such a good one. We were visiting the financial district and stumbled upon this cool place! Recommend visiting if you're in the area. The baristas were super nice and helpful and they have some unique coffee blends.

Doris D.

Yelp
Great coffee in this cute little shop. Can't go wrong. Friendly and prompt service. Easy to find.

Aleena G.

Yelp
I came here today and decided to try the Iced mazapan latte. It was so good! Staff was very kind to suggest this with empanadas and breakfast tacos as well. Definitely has that Puerto Rican taste and vibe because of the peanut flavor. Will definitely go back for their famous coquito latte and horchata latte. 10/10 :)

Polina Z.

Yelp
Really good coffee! Amazing location and the atmosphere is really nice. The service is great, my food and coffee only took about 5 minutes! I will be coming back!

Cristian P.

Yelp
Delicious coffee served by an extremely friendly staff! The entire place is very artsy and decorated to make you feel more comfortable than home. I love home they have various type of seating spread out all over the place and so you can sit at a bar, at a table, or at a coffee table. Also their music is very magical and relaxing!

Bridget M.

Yelp
Great iced latte in a bag! I got the Mazapan (peanut butter) one and it was delicious I sucked it down right away! Using the Rum beans! Only negative is that it was $11. Cute place and cute mini covered patio. Good service too.

Hari K.

Yelp
I came here for around 3 hours to get some work done, and that's definitely the weekday energy for this FiDi spot. It's probably between a 4 and a 5, because I enjoyed the creative Puerto Rican drink options (I got the Mazapan Latte, which was billed as a pretty nutty coffee) and I thought they were pretty good). The hours are great, as they close at 8 pm on weekdays which is incredible, and their wifi is pretty solid but not out of this world. The latte came out to ~$9 post tip, which isn't cheap but for a specialty in NYC, it's okay. Solid spot that I'd come back to to work with a friend for sure (lot of seating as well)!

Aj H.

Yelp
The service was friendly and the twist on the classic iced latte was cute. Great vibe and good coffee. Strong wifi, too; I used it to stream an online presentation with ease. I went back twice during my brief stay in the city.

Stacie C.

Yelp
The coffee was okay. The flavor I got I expected it to taste closer to the flavor but the coffee wasn't bad, so I would go back if I am in the area.

Samantha D.

Yelp
A great place to grab a cup of coffee and get some work done. The menu is pretty straightforward. The coffee is strong. There's free wifi. It is a little spotty, but most of the time, it works. There are outlets scattered about. The restroom is clean. Most of the patrons do work in the cafe. The staff are amazing. They circled around the cafe and passed out glasses of water. They really push to make sure that guests can get the 5% neighborhood discount.

Joshua S.

Yelp
$9.00 for a small hot chocolate that wasnt even hot! I had to ask for them to heat it up and they didnt even tell me how much it cost. No menu with prices. Ridiculous

Emma F.

Yelp
Great neighborhood coffee spot with friendly service. I love coming here to get some work done. There's plenty of seating and fast wifi.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Maybe New Yorkers are a mean bunch. Maybe you're just projecting? Because the young lady who greeted me this morning was pleasant and pleased to have me here as a customer. And I'm super pleased to be HERE and now down the street at the Green Siren people. Drink #LocalCoffee, my friends. There's a neat welcoming vibe here at 787 in the Financial District. Music, comfy seats inside and out. Free wifi. Oh and my coffee was pretty darned amazing. Hooray for coffee shops that have a cortado on the menu. Did I mention the cool air conditioning? It's super hot in August in NYC and it was great to get out of that today to write this and some other reviews. How isn't that a five star experience? [Review 17784 overall - 326 in New York - 1305 of 2022.]

Richard T.

Yelp
Great coffee shop to get some work done -- plenty of seating, wide and sturdy desks, and wall outlets to crank out whatever task at hand :) Dogged the vibe as well.

Betty E.

Yelp
I went today during my coffee break it was an amazing experience, Maria is a great Barista and have wonderful customer service she explained to me a little bit of 787 history as well of the different types of beans and drinks in the menu I ended up ordering coquito latte with banana walnut bread and honestly I can't wait to come back for more. Thank you Maria

Marlene S.

Yelp
I really like this place! I love that the iced coffee cokes in this plastic bag. I had the dulce de leche latte which was amazing. My friend had the coquito latte, also pretty good! We had their quesito which I'm shocked was not sold out by 2pm. The place is super busy and there's seating to work inside or out.

Jessica G.

Yelp
The coffee was so tasty I wish I had a gallon instead of the pouch you get! Inside is cute. Empanadas were bomb you can tell they are fresh

Sole' H.

Yelp
Wonderful, bold, aromatic coffee brought to New York City from sustainable farms in Puerto Rico + warm service with a smile! #Boricua #boricua_spirit

Rachel L.

Yelp
Thank you for bringing Puerto Rican coffee to our pallets. Empanada w so much flavor and filling

Andrew S.

Yelp
Coffee AND Tacos!?! It can't get any better than this. I didn't get a chance to try the tacos since it was so early in the morning, but I'm sure they're delicious. I just love the hipster feel of the entire place. After grabbing my cold brew, I sat around for a bit just to check out the art work. I love the signs that they have all over the place. This place screams out, "welcome, you belong, inclusive, progress, art, no fu**s given". Love it! Also, my cold brew was fantastic!
