9 Great LGBTQ+-Owned Atlanta Restaurants

"For a light breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up, you can’t go wrong with Finca to Filter café. This lesbian-owned coffee shop has some of the city’s best beans, sourced from small growers around the world. Stick to classics or try one of Finca’s rotating seasonal drinks—we love the Vicki POW, a delicately flavored gingersnap cookie latte named for legendary queer Atlanta DJ Vicki Powell. Their pastries are equally on point with savory and sweet treats for whatever suits the mood (try one of the handmade empanadas from Atlanta bakery Casa Cardoza)." - rachel garbus

Finca To Filter West End Review - West End - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"For a light breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up, you can’t go wrong with Finca to Filter café. With two locations on the Westside, this lesbian-owned coffee shop has some of the city’s best beans, sourced from small growers around the world. Stick to classics or try one of Finca’s rotating seasonal drinks—we love the Vicki POW, a delicately flavored gingersnap cookie latte named for legendary queer Atlanta DJ Vicki Powell. Finca to Filter Review - West End - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Finca to Filter is right inside Wild Heaven just off the Westside BeltLine, so it’s usually busy with folks grabbing a quick coffee before their morning run or walk. The coffee corner sits adjacent to the bar, so you can order a beer if you prefer day drinking or hang out all day and grab a beer after you finish your 10th Zoom meeting of the day. Long cafeteria style tables, countertop seats, and couches provide plenty of space to relax with some friends or get some work done solo. There’s also outdoor seating if you’d prefer to sip your coffee and people watch the BeltLine. They offer some light bites like bagels and pastries, but the real high point is the empanadas. They go fast so get here early to snag one." - Juli Horsford

I’ve been coming to this café regularly and have always appreciated the cozy atmosphere and generally solid menu. However, my recent visit left me disappointed. Unfortunately, the staff member on duty was noticeably unfriendly. She prepared the wrong order, and when I politely let her know, her response was not only dismissive but also verged on rude. Instead of correcting the mistake with understanding, she implied it was my fault—which felt unfair and unprofessional. Everyone can have an off day, but customer service matters—especially for regulars. I hope this was just an isolated incident, because I’ve truly enjoyed this place in the past.

So since I've been in Atlanta I've been trying a few coffee shops in the Atlanta Area. This is def in my top five. Service was great! Food was so good. I got the vegetarian quiche and coffee was superb and strong. I got a lavender latte. Only thought would be more plugs. Not many plugs in the area for the amount of tables other than that lovely view and it's a cute little park across the street. Def should come.

Amazing place with one of the best nitros and seasonal latte I have tried recently. We tried rosemary latte and nitro, both were 10 out of 10. Briskets and scones are also delicious, I highly recommend to have your blueberry scone heated up! Service is very good, I received all the info about coffee I needed and asked for. 😉 Highly recommend!

Google
Cool space. Lots of people working on their laptops. High ceilings so it feels super spacious. The blueberry oat bar is magical. Great place for a coffee.

We just came out of the coffee shop and the experience was terrible. The staff was not friendly and unhelpful. I ordered 2 drinks and a pastry. We were only rung up for one drink (it was my bad for not catching that on the screen) and a pastry and the total was $18. When waiting on our second drink the barista asked what else we were waiting for and it was then that I was informed we were only charged for one drink and they didn’t seem to care to help us figure that out. Also cherry on top, there was a hair baked into our pastry. We were so excited to check this place out knowing it was queer owned but we left so disappointed.

Absolutely adore this place! I love everything about it. Decaf and a coffee cake muffin while meeting deadlines couldn’t have been a better way to polish off the work day! Go here!

Cute and welcoming environment and near a very pretty park! Cool merch and delicious coffee + food, they also do makers marts and craft nights here sometimes!

Google
We hosted our event here and can’t say enough about how helpful and supportive the team was from setup to tear-down. Their staff truly partnered with us to make sure everything ran smoothly, even coordinating an incredible wine tasting that everyone raved about the selections. It’s rare to find a venue that’s this dedicated to making your vision happen for new creators so thank you guys! They also have so many cute events this summer—I’d 100% recommend checking them out, whether you’re booking them for your own gathering or just stopping in to enjoy their space. Our event was 100x better because of their attention and care.

Yelp
I wound up falling in love with this cozy coffee shop. It's connected to an apartment complex, giving it a modern, comfortable look. There's street parking right outside the cafe and by the Old Fourth Ward park. I love how pet friendly the cafe and O4W is!!! There were so many people walking their dogs, a pleasant surprise for people studying or chatting here. Plenty of seats from community booths to couches and tables. I liked the window table that faced the park. The cafe is very modern, community advocated, and LGBTQ friendly. The staff was nice when I asked them about their recommendations or what was in their specialities. I absolutely loved the hot earl grey latte. It came with cute latte art, and I could taste the tea and lavender flavor. The fruity pebbles latte wasn't sweet or had any gimmick to it; it just tasted like a coffee with no speciality. They do a wine flight on Thursdays and sell wine and pastries.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere. Great if you want to get some studying / work done. A decent amount of outlets. They also have a water bottle refill station, which is nice! I love the booths that they have. free parking is available by the park as well. I will say, the fruity pebble latte was an overpriced for it not really tasting like fruity pebbles at all unfortunately, so I would not get it again. But I tried my friends drinks and they were good!

Yelp
Finca to Filter is a true gem! The coffee is amazing, and the pastries--created by the incredibly talented Stephanie--are the most delicious treats this side of heaven. Cozy vibes, friendly service, and baked goods you'll dream about. Don't miss it!

Yelp
Great coffee shop tucked in Old Fourth! Decently sized space and plenty of seating outside. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was so good and had a unique flavor. Coffee was great as well. Will be back!

Yelp
Beautiful woman owned cafe with great vibes. Finca to Filter serves breakfast fare, snacks, and sells bottles of wine. There is a to go window as well as an indoor space with lush plants, big windows and various seating options. Staff are very friendly. I enjoyed the egg and cheese biscuit as well as a strawberry Matcha latte. They host groups as well if you reach out in advance.

Yelp
I was invited to Finca for a business coffee/lunch date. Parking isn't too bad but be prepared to parallel park. This particular location is in a cute neighborhood and there were a lot of people walking their dogs. The decor and ambiance here were pleasant. There was music playing but it wasn't so loud to the point where you couldn't hear your conversations. The service was great. I believe her name was Q? I ordered the egg and cheese sammie since they were out of the sammie with bacon and a hot latte. I don't remember the name of the latte but it was supposed to have hints of lavender. The sammie was really good, especially with the onion/butter spread she recommended. The latte, ehh I wasn't a fan of. They provide decent size servings and their hot latte came in a glass cup. Which I found interesting. Overall, I don't think I would return for their coffee. Even if I was in the area.

Yelp
Good coffee. Excellent service. Beautiful space. Had a biz meeting at Finca -- my first time there. I'll be back. It's perfect for a new -- quiet, roomy and inviting. Finca is across the street from O4W park and was shady and cool on this sunny morning. The interior is beautiful. In addition to coffee, Finca sells hornet food items, plus branded merc. Its decor is kind of aggressively woke. The coiffed was very good and the service could not have been better. Neither my colleague nor I tried the attractive pastry. Finca is a sort of community center for the many apartment buildings in the area with a book club and a running group b Plenty of street parking. The restrooms are spotless.

Yelp
Service and ambience here was amazing!! The service was friendly and helpful! The space was so beautiful and I wish they have more locations. The matcha was flavorful and I loved their strawberry matcha! Overall, I loved this space and can't wait to be back.

Yelp
I stumbled on this bc it's near my doctor's and I had some time to spare. What a delightful surprise! The atmosphere is great. Airy and open, modern. Music not too loud. People working but people still looked friendly. Variety of seating: couch, chair, desk tables, etc. it's attached to an apartment building and has a bit of a coworking feel. There's even a printer. Plants, art, rugs. I really liked it. My drip coffee was good and their snacks looked great. Love the park view and all the dogs walking by. Also seems socially aware.

Yelp
My first time at this new coffee shop right down the street from me! I had no idea! So excited. I ordered an iced oat milk vanilla latte and I have to say it was pretty sweet and had to let the ice melt some to make it tolerable for me, but I enjoyed the flavor and the coffee. Definitely will be back to work from that location as the space looked beautiful and seemed like there was plenty of room. Yay to an O4W coffee shop!

Yelp
Lovely coffee shop!! As someone visiting from the west coast it felt like home with all the bright colors and inclusivity radiating everywhere. Service was prompt and friendly. Got a tea latte with lavender that was perfect. Not too sweet or bitter. Parking can be a bit dicey especially during the shop's 'rush hour' but you'll inevitably find street parking. Though they have more seating than most cafes, finding a spot to sit can be ROUGH Id say between 10a-2p - yes I was there about that long - yes I'm part of the problem. When I got there I had to hop out of line to throw my laptop down to secure a spot at a table. They also have 2 sizable booths that are communal tables so don't fret about asking someone to scooch over. I didn't pay attn to their outlet availability as that usually weighs heavily on my coffee shop assessment, but I always make sure to fully charge my devices before visiting a new spot so do the same! Will be back for sure. I love that they offer 'the kit' and it's a short walk to the beltline. Bathrooms are clean and the space gets tons of natural light. The wifi is also strong and stable and password free. More places should do this lol!! Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Yelp
Very nice coffee place. I had the iced chai latte and it was very delicious and tasty. The place has a very nice aesthetic, but since it is part of an apartment lobby, the seating was pretty limited since it was pretty full on a Saturday afternoon. I would recommend getting there early. They had street parking so that was nice. And it's a dog friendly complex, so you get to see doggies around.

Yelp
Great spot and great ambience. We were rubbed the wrong way when one of the baristas rudely corrected my partner for misgendering them which was a complete accident. We as customers patronizing a business never react rudely when our names are mispronounced or misspelled (which happens quite a bit) so we certainly don't expect abrasive corrections when we were literally just being polite and thanking them for handing our order to us. Other than that. No complaints - great coffee, great spot. Just give people the same grace you'd want to be given.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in O4W! Nice place to get some work done, however limited seating inside and can be very crowded. Outdoor tables are very nice when the weather is nice. Drinks are good, staff is very nice!

Natalya P.

Yelp
I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews of Finca. Here I've had some of my best coffee experiences. The espresso drinks are wonderful and strong, slightly acidic but not overpowering. And as a bonus they serve the iced drinks in the cutest glasses! I will say that I enjoyed the taste of my iced latte more than their hot latte. The baristas are friendly, nothing more nothing less. This is inside(ish) of an apartment building, and there are small leasing rooms along one side of the wall; but it still feels cozy and not awkward, despite the multiple uses of the area. They have booths, which are always taken when I come. There are a good amount of chairs, and a sofa. One thing I think could spruce up the area is more intimate seating. Because a lot of people are working on their laptops, it can feel very quiet. And it is sometimes awkward trying to converse with a friend when the chairs are far apart. There is a table with computers, which I believe is reserved for residents. There are large windows, convenient for watching cute puppies walking by on their morning stroll. I'm sure to stop by when I'm near Grant Park.

Yelp
Coffee, pastries, and service were all 10/10 for me!!! The space is also lovely, highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Favorite spot to work from home! Great service, coffee and treats! Also love all of the events that they host!

Aisling232 G.

Yelp
Coffee is 4/5 but service and attitude of the people working here is 0/5 so I suppose that averages to a 2. They are rude and not welcoming which is ironic given the intended spirit of the place.

Love I.

Yelp
I wouldn't dare walk into this place again. The coffee shop was cute but Rude workers = no service from me.
