The Best Coffee Shops In Atlanta

"Finca to Filter is right inside Wild Heaven just off the Westside BeltLine, so it’s an ideal spot to grab a quick coffee before a morning run. But if running sounds awful, the space tends to evolve as the day wears on. Finca's long cafeteria style tables, countertop seats, and couches provide plenty of space to relax with friends or get some work done. If you prefer to people-watch the theatrics of the BeltLine, grab an outdoor table to sip on your coffee. The coffee corner sits adjacent to the bar, so you can hang out all day and grab a beer after you finish your 10th Zoom meeting of the day. They offer some light bites like bagels and pastries, but the real high point is the empanadas. They go fast so get here early to snag one." - juli horsford

These Are Atlanta’s Essential Coffee Shops

"Located inside the taproom at Wild Heaven-West End, this friendly little coffee shop has become an integral part of the community in the neighborhood, hosting a running club, open-mic nights, and drag bingo. As a queer-owned business, Finca to Filter also prioritizes partnering with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC local and Southern coffee brands as well as food businesses. The shop serves everything from drip coffee, flat whites, and lattes to espresso drinks and even a seasonal espresso spritzer. Grab coffee to go, or take a seat inside or outside on the patio flanking the Westside Beltline trail. The shop now has a location on the Eastside Beltline and is opening a coffee and frozen dessert bar and wine bar Side Saddle Wine Saloon in the coming months on the Southside Beltline trail." - Beth McKibben, Sarra Sedghi

9 LGBTQ+-Owned Atlanta Restaurants You Should Know

"For a light breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up, you can’t go wrong with Finca to Filter café. With two locations on the Westside, this lesbian-owned coffee shop has some of the city’s best beans, sourced from small growers around the world. Stick to classics or try one of Finca’s rotating seasonal drinks—we love the Vicki POW, a delicately flavored gingersnap cookie latte named for legendary queer Atlanta DJ Vicki Powell. Their pastries are equally on point with savory and sweet treats for whatever suits the mood (try one of the handmade empanadas from Atlanta bakery Casa Cardoza). And with their West End location just steps from the BeltLine, you can make this the designated meetup for those “weekend walks” you’ve been all talk about for months." - rachel garbus

Google
I stayed at a nearby Airbnb and walked over to Finca to Filer Coffee Bar. And I am glad I did. This coffee shop is inside the Wild Heaven brewery. There is a mole seating inside and outside. The coffee was excellent. I also had the oatmeal, which was tasty. And they had a really nice selection of fresh pastries and empanadas. I highly recommend Finca to Filter Coffee Bar!

Google
Pros: -huge space for remote workers and just anyone who wants to chill here while studying/working whatever -in a neat area right off the belt line -connected to wild heaven so you have access to food (and alcohol) if you want more than just coffee -great amount of seating. They have benches, bar stools, and couches plus outdoor seating -their specialty drinks really do feel special Cons: -this is such a small one but they don’t have half n half, so if you’re wanting cream in your coffee, you still have the standard options

This coffee shop is located off the Old Fourth Ward park in a quiet street. The ambience is very nice. The coffee was good and the staff courteous.

We love finca to filter. Everyone I've ever met working at this coffee and pastry place has been so incredibly nice, warm, and welcoming. The chocolate and regular croissants are delicious and make for a great second breakfast. I'm from Europe and have had a hard time finding good authentic European pastries - but the croissants at Finca to filter definitely don't disappoint. Their pour over coffee was already super tasty and always worth a stop on walks with my dog, but now that they have a proper espresso machine, I really enjoy stopping in for a cappuccino around lunch time too.

One of my favorite spots. Right on the belt line. Good coffee, quality welcoming baristas, inclusive space, community focus, and queer-owned with fun events. They have kombucha, chai, pour over coffee, espresso drinks, good pastries, and other locally sourced food as well. I usually get coffee and get to sit in the Wild Heaven space for a bit even after they close. Great open space to work. Can sit with dogs on outside patio. One time I was able to chat with the business owner about their process/views on a sustainable coffee supply chain! She is so knowledgeable and thoughtful. Definitely an underrated spot ❤️

Great place and great vibes. Wifi is good and space abounds. The coffee has a decidedly sour taste though.

Hallelu! Finally a coffee spot in my neighborhood that really delivers the goods! Great coffee & service as well as pastries. I got a vanilla latte and a ham & cheese empanada that was 🔥. Also, very LGBTQ / Queer friendly with large indoor and outdoor seating (beer-garden style). To find this place: park near the breweries and walk through the 3 yellow posts. The coffee bar will be on your right as you walk the path.

Google
I’ve had coffee in A LOT of cities and countries and nothing beats Finca to Filter. On top of the phenomenal coffee (and empanadas/bagels/donuts), the people are truly the best. The most inclusive, wonderful humans who truly want to connect and serve the West End community. We love you Finca, Kayla, Kendall, Jess, Zainab, and everyone who makes each experience special.

Yelp
Loved this coffee shop! I just heard of it this past week, and got the chance to check it out. It was so nice!! The coffee itself was delicious and very unique. They had fun experimental combos for fall! The seating area itself is perfect for working remote. There were both people working alone, in groups, and people just sitting chatting. It was quiet enough to sit alone and get work done. But you can also grab coffee and chat with a friend great. I will def be back! Love this spot

Yelp
My family frequents Lee & White regularly as we live in the neighborhood and my favorite thing is fancy coffee Saturday when we go to Finca to Filter inside Wild Heaven. 1) The service is great. Everyone who works there is friendly and very thorough and knowledgeable about coffee. My drinks are typically made perfectly and on the odd times they haven't been, the staff has been quick and kind to correct issues. 2) The menu is so creative! I love trying the different specialty items the team comes up with. We have tried lattes with sorrel syrup, fruity pebble inspired coffee, and they make the best earl grey latte/London fog I've ever had. They even have a kids menu which is fun for my toddler who loves the little vanilla steamer. 3) the snacks are yummy - especially the bean and cheese empanada Finca is pricier than Starbucks but the menu is something you could never get at a chain coffee spot. The location is casual with plenty of seating inside and outside wild heaven.

Yelp
It's a hidden gem. I really enjoyed the coffee. It's a quirky, rustic vibe. The steak and potato thingy lol was good but I loved the ham and cheese one. It's a cute space. I really love how passionate they are about coffee .

Yelp
Great experience here, and happy to support a female owned, queer local business! I did not experience the issues others have mentioned -- the service was super quick (despite being inundated with ~40 patrons within a 20-30 minute time frame who were meeting in the space for an event). Staff was friendly, and seemed on top of everything. The decor is super cute too! I ordered a chai latte with oat milk. It was nice. I will definitely go back when in the area!

Yelp
YUM + what a cozy space to work remotely! This coffee shop is nestled in a corner of the wild heaven brewery, and I loved every bit of it! It's a great place to post up and work remotely. The bartista was so friendly and basically able to make you any drink on or off the menu. I highly recommend hitting this spot up - it's a gem you don't want to miss!

Yelp
Delicious and unique coffee drinks. Yummy lil snacks too. Located inside the brewery- definitely check them out! I love to bring a book and sit outside on their patio with a coffee

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our time at Finca to Filter! The service was great, the barista was well-informed about the flavors and pairings for the different drinks, and I appreciated that they made it clear that they support Black Lives, the LGBTQIA+ community, and reproductive rights. I felt welcomed. It gave a cool, warehouse vibe. My one, very small complaint is that it was hard asl to find the location. The sign wasn't very big so it took a bit of hunting to figure out that the coffee shop is inside of a larger venue that turns into a bar/restaurant during later hours. Cool place.

Yelp
I was a little confused when trying to find this place, because on the outside, I saw a sign that said Finca to Filter but I didn't realize that it was inside the brewery. It occupies a little corner of the brewery. I love that they have such unique coffee flavors! I tried the black sesame latte because I was told it would be hazelnutty and it really was! It was delicious and I loved the cup that it came in! I stayed here for about 2.5 hours and got lots of work done! I love the environment, the music wasn't too loud and there weren't that many people so it wasn't super loud. There is plenty of parking which is always a plus and of course there's free wifi! The only thing that was a little offputting for me was that the table was sticky? I'm not sure if it's the material of the table because some of the paint came off on my papers.

Yelp
Finca is my neighborhood coffee spot. They are community oriented and sponsor and host a lot of things in the neighborhood which i love. I walk there but honestly only if I don't feel like driving somewhere else. The actual coffee that they use is great but my order has been wrong every time except once or twice. And they take foreverrrr no matter how many people are there. I'll keep trying it and keep being supportive and hopefully I'll be able to update this review with good news!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Great coffee, but this place NEVER has half & half... ever. WHY??? Only whole milk. Guys, please start carrying half & half for a daily customer, especially the o4w location.

Greer H. M.

Yelp
Best coffee shop I've ever been to! Hands down! Beautiful atmosphere, bubbly staff, and exceptional coffee and pastries. I wish they would franchise to Southern California so I could go there every day!
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
First of all, this place is INSIDE Wild Heaven brewery, a fact they should...maybe mention on the signs littering the outdoor seating area. Anyway, a diner-sized cup of drip coffee here costs $3.50 and their wifi was bad, so I'm never going back. Good luck, folks!

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly staff, cool location. I really like the espresso spritzer which is a totally new concept to a coffee-head like me! Is it cheap? No. But I'm always happy to support local business! By the way, I asked what finca means. It means farm! #TheMoreYouKnow

Yelp
Great specialty coffee on the West End!! Love sitting outside next to the beltline. Fun area. Friendly staff.

Alexis C.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful coffee- staff was extremely nice, prompt, and had wonderful vibes. The location is a bit confusing, I won't lie- it's inside the beer hall in a lovely little corner. Take the time to park and figure out where it is and you won't be disappointed! There are several reviews on here that mention being removed for making women uncomfortable... in my opinion, that's a good thing. Protect women and the customers that feel uncomfortable always! Their pride menu was also very tasty. If you're around in June 2022, I recommend the Pam and Pam or the UHaul! My girlfriend recommends the tropical fog for a refreshing summer drink. If they have a different seasonal menu, that is where you should look for creative, tasty drinks.

John J.

Yelp
Friends who live in the West End invited me here, but it was a really poor experience and I wouldnt go again. First off, its hard to find and it's just a little corner in a brewery. The pricing is very high. I ordered an empanada and it looked like a tiny empanada that you could eat in one bite for over $4. The coffee was expensive too and they didnt even fill the cup. The service was also very poor. They seem very unorganiZed. Probably waited 10-15 minutes for a coffee because they forgot to make it. And once I received it, it was nothing special. There's no system and they just put coffee on a counter and no one knows who it belongs to. So while I try to support local businesses, this is a place I will not go back to.
