Soo.. this all began with a quest for fresh seafood, oysters to be exact. I searched high and low determined to find fresh plump oysters. After foolishly attempting places such as T.. C..., and the likes. No such luck, small shriveled up and most unpleasant tasting. Feeling sad and slightly disappointed I wandered into Finch and Fifth. I explained my dilemma to my server she says to me "Oh we have a Lobster Roll off the menu ". Wait, what are you saying? What are you talking about, why are you still standing here? She replies "Would you like to try it "? Sure why not, I mean really how good could it be after all this is Augusta. Not expecting anything special and she was such a jewel, I reluctantly agreed. And then, it happens, wait for it and drum roll please.
No, No this was not bit's of Lobster that technically could pass. Nestled within in a warm, toasty brioche roll was behold the Lobster. Now, we all know that looks can be deceiving soooo, I take the first bite it disappears, literally melts in my mouth and coating my palette causing a symphony of flavors. Buttery, succulent and sweet and down right delicious!!! It had to have been poached in buttery, sweet and delicious the best this side of Maine. Simply as a courtesy there was mayo (barely enough to coat and bind) while allowing the fresh rich succulent Lobster to shine in all its glory. Difficult to hold and manage due to the lobster chunks falling out refusing to be confined within the confines of a roll. Delicate, rich, sweet and delicious. Grownup goodness, I've have had my share of Lobster rolls but this was like no other. Listen if I was forced down a dark, dingy alley and forced to provide a password, I would gladly do it, thankfully that's not necessary. Oh yeah, as a side note, whatever and not that it matters, fresh hot house made chips are provided
