"It’s a dangerous thing to have such an awesome chocolate factory so close to our office. Like a moth to a flame, customers flock to Fine and Raw to drool over the wide array of handmade raw and organic chocolates offered in their funky store front. Ginger, Truffle, Mesquite, Espresso - why bother picking just one flavor? And don’t leave without grabbing a coffee choko shake. Trust us, we know what we’re talking about." - Radish Lab

**Been a customer for years but never again!** I ordered a gift for my nephew becasue they said they would add ice packs. I paid for 2 day but they shipped it on a Thurday and it was not delivered till Tuesday. The package got hot enough for the hazlenut spread to ooze out of the lid. Customer service does exist. I got an email from a bot with no followup. I'm going through my Amex to get a refund since they just don't care enough to contact me about this problem.

We ordered the easter eggs and chocolate hazelnut spread for our kids for Easter. The eggs came, the hazelnut spread never has. The eggs were completely melted. I have reached out to their customer service 5 times with no response. I will never order from this company again because of their customer service alone.

Bought one of their chocolate bars at a health food store in Southern Indiana and it was absolutely some of the best chocolate I've ever tasted. Some of these poor reviews must be from competitors, because seriously, the self control I had to excert to not eat the entire bar in one sitting was unreal! It seems like some people are used to the over-processed, chemical ridden chocolate we have here in the states and don't appreciate the high quality craftsmanship of this chocolate. 10/10 would recommend. If I'm ever in the area, I will certainly stop in the store front. It must be even more exquisite fresh!!!

I ordered some chocolates to be delivered to my mom in Naples, and everything about the experience was perfect! The packaging was excellent, very impressive given the Florida heat. The chocolates arrived in great condition, and my mom hasn’t stopped raving about how delicious they are. Thank you for the care you put into both the product and the delivery!

Google
DON'T! Our second order they sent the wrong product and didnt even care do anything about it and this time jars came broken! They are a joke I would never buy from them again! I will make sure to comment under all their social media accounts and ads the photo of the box. After all public must know what type of a company is this before they buy anything!

If you do not like dark chocolate, DO NOT buy this product you will not like it. I purchased multiple favors (sea salt, ginger, expresso, everything bagel and the spread) and all of them have been a disappointment. I enjoy sweets and was trying to find an alternative to all the refine sugar and seed oils chocolates out there. I really though this was going to be it and decided to try multiple flavors to pick a favorite, however, they are bitter than I anticipated, some of the flavors are not as pronounced as described and the price is high for the amount of chocolate you get. While I can’t talk about the quality of the ingredients, I want to assume they are as good as they claim but even with that, I do not consider this product a good alternative unless you really like dark chocolate. I reached out to their Custome service to share my thought and hope for some refund, they explained that it is food and they can’t accept them back, I totally understand. Also, I know a lot of people are out there trying to scam companies, so I totally get their response. Word of advice, if you are trying these products, don’t get Wow by their marketing, their flavor are bitter due to the concentration of cacao and to me they are not worth the money. Good luck!

Google
Avoid! I placed a bulk order. They missed it. I reached out and asked for a postponed delivery. I gave them a date for my return. They missed it again. Both time there's no explanation from their team, I had to initiate. This was NOT during holiday. What makes things worse is after I received a box of chocolate, every bar is not packaged properly. The foil is NOT glued. The wrapping is NOT glued to the foil either. Every bar is open and exposed to air. The bars are for an event, so they're useless now. I asked for an explanation and for refund. I reached out, the team is silent. It's been more than a week. Guess I deserve oxidized chocolate, some DIY work and figure it all yourself for the high price I pay.

Google
Hi everyone, This place is a like a pharmacy of chocolate , if you are a chocolate lover , that is the perfect place for you. Everything is really high quality , made out of pure Coco in all sizes and shapes. Perfect for gives . You can also see how they are making the chocolate, they are making it at the back of the store, really interesting and you can appreciate the product even more . The prices is a bit high, but after you see how they are making it , it's understandable. So have fun!!!

Yelp
The name "Fine & Raw" is quite fitting for this chocolate factory as that's exactly what they are! It not only feels amazing to enjoy chocolate of unparalleled quality but also knowing that I am supporting my local community as well! I tried their delectable "Mesquite bar" and although I was not looking for sugar free, it is actually free of any sugar but doesn't taste like it and it's so creamy & delicious!

Yelp
First off I have been a customer since my wife found this product in Dec 2022. I was even on a subscription buying 4 jars ($46.76) a month because my wife LOVED it so much. BUT last month we got the four jars and only one of them was the usual creamy amazing flavor etc that my wife excepted. 3 of the jars the chocolate had expanded and was all the ay to the lid and was very chalky and didn't taste correct. I informed the company and they gave me a 20% off coupon for my next order. I said I would like 3 of the 4 jars to be replaced or just refund the money for the 3 and will get the next months subscription they refused. I informed my credit card company and after a review process they told me that Fine & raw fought the refund so they couldn't refund my money. Subscription has been cancelled horrible customer service... the picture included here clearly shows something isn't right... if this was a few dollar item I'd probably blow it off and try again but a premium priced item ($11.67 per jar) this is ridiculous that they wouldn't replace or refund. To be clear the 14 months of purchases were great this was the first quality issue and their support staff handled it horribly

Yelp
Fine & Raw's factory is located in between the industrial part of Bushwick and Williamsburg so while I wanted to visit it for some time now, there's not much to do around the area so I was always hesitant. I took advantage of their Black Friday sale to stock up on some of my favorites. I called the factory multiple times to confirm the hours; it was difficult to get in touch with someone. Yelp said they were open until 3 and Goggle said until 6. After the 5th call, I was able to get in touch with a staff member who informed me that they were open until 5 and closed for the weekend. Hearing this I rushed over to pick up my order. Upon reaching the factory, I noticed the beautiful exterior which helps distinguish it among the numerous neighboring factories. The inside of the factory looked quaint and cozy. There was sitting for patrons to enjoy their chocolates and chocolate flavored beverages. You can purchase pre made bars and merchandise as well. The order pick up process was quick. I gave my order number to associate who stepped away to inform them I had arrived to pick up my order. In under 5 minutes, my order was brought out to me. They have events around the year, offer tasting tours, and can do private events. I'm considering going on one the tours in the near future.

Yelp
Friday evening. I had no idea a chocolate factory existed in Brooklyn -- how exciting and delightful. We took a short 15 minute walk over, just before close. Upon entering, I could smell the chocolate being mixed in the big vats. The big windows also allowed us to peek into the kitchen/factory to see the action! There's also a cute cafe with bright pink chairs and seating to enjoy your chocolate goodies. I ordered a hot chocolate with almond milk and a hazelnut bar and a sea salt bar. To my surprise, there were also chunks of chocolate under a cloche to try! These were delicious. I love that there are only a few ingredients in this brand of chocolate without any refined sugar -- means it is more satisfying and less addicting than chocolate with added sugar. Such a great place for chocolate lovers!!

Yelp
I purchased a few products and had a question regarding one of the products that arrived totally liquid even after stirring. I tried to contact them by email and Instagram with no success. For my surprise I received a message on Instagram saying that I called requesting a refund, which is a BIG LIE and they don't do refunds. It seems like I'm not the only person complaining about their customer service. You may have a good product, but without any support why would I or any other person purchase it again?

Yelp
I haven't been to the actual store but I love their products!! I keep an eye out and go to specific grocery stores that carry them. Im a chocolate aficionado and it's hard to find chocolate that doesn't have soy as an ingredient. This line is very clean, soy free, and high quality. I especially love the chocolate hazelnut spread. I also like their bars and truffles.

Nikki C.

Yelp
Taste wise it is pretty good. But it's expensive and their quality is not consistent. I received two containers of chocolate hazelnut spread and its thick and chunky, almost solidified. I tried emailing and calling without any response. Now I'm stick with almost $30 in products that's barely usable.

Yelp
I'm sure the purveyor of Fine & Raw is tired of any comparisons to Willy Wonka, so I'll just say this is a much more gussied up version of the chocolate factory you may have in mind. You may know that the cacao industry can be fraught with poor working conditions for the farmers and outsized environmental impact. Fine & Raw not only pays their farmers above fair trade wages, but builds long lasting relationships with their suppliers. They're also working towards becoming a fully solar powered chocolate factory. And the chocolate really does taste as good as their ethics sound. I had the joy of touring their facilities recently, and marveled at their huge vats of creamy chocolate and the machines turning them into shiny bars, truffles, and fudge. Every piece I've tried has been some of the best in class. I've got my sights set on their hazelnut spread next and plan to buy gift sets for the holidays this year.

Yelp
We spent the afternoon exploring some street art in this neighborhood during our January NYC trip. It was snowing and freezing outside that day so when we stumbled upon this spot we stopped to warm up! I don't like chocolate or coffee (weird, I know), so I didn't get anything. My husband got some hot chocolate and loved it. I loved the decor of the shop as well! It's definitely a cool place to stop by.

Yelp
AMAZING local handmade chocolate factory. Fine & Raw's chocolate bars make a nice little gift or (in my case) sweet treat for yourself. Not only do they sell chocolate bars, they also sell homemade truffles and hazelnut butter. All delicious and made with clean ingredients. I love how cacao is used as opposed to cocoa as it is more nutritious. Coconut sugar is used as instead of white sugar- so no refined sugar here! In my opinion, this makes these products more appealing to people with all types of dietary restrictions. With a wide variety of flavors, even the pickiest eater is sure to find at least 3 they are obsessed with.
google avatar

Sahar A.

Yelp
The regular hazelnut spread tastes great. However, I did not like the texture of the sugarless one, even though it tastes great, I just wished the texture was similar to the regular one.
google avatar

Yelp
They take forever to respond to emails and they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE! Ordered online and received melted chocolate and the "Carmel" in the jar is horrible. It's gritty and watery. SUPER GROSS!

Lori G.

Yelp
Just placed/received my 1st online order. Omg! this is wonderful. Packaging was safe/secure, shipping fast/received in perfect condition and taste is Best!! Ever!! Not overly sweet, just absolutely yummy. I will definitely purchase again and super thrilled I found this company.

Yelp
FINE & RAW is clearly obsessed with making the world a better place by making the finest chocolate in the world. When I entered, I was surrounded by scent of cacao. The vibe was calm and relaxing. And the hot chocolate that I enjoyed was intoxicating.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Wow, sooo good! You really have chocolate mastered! I'm not following a raw diet, but this is so much more gratifying than processed chocolate! I hope you put out a cocoa, oh wait! That wouldn't be raw would it?! Too bad for me! Hahahaha Thanks for the tasty satisfying treat!
google avatar

Sail B.

Yelp
I ordered the Easter eggs and they were good. The only thing bad about it is that they were smashed when we got them. Even though they put them wrapped inside an egg crate.
google avatar

Karen T.

Yelp
Welcoming staff, they gave me a mini tour and were super nice to answer all my questions. I got the truffles, 3 different kind and oh my oh my sooooo delicious!
google avatar

Novella N.

Yelp
Great place to visit if you're in the Bushwick area! Besides picking up some chocolate bars and spreads (try the chocolate hazelnut, you won't be disappointed), make sure to get one of their coffees or milkshakes! I have tried the dulce de Leche and the hazelnut, both amazing. The merchandise (non-food) they have available is great too :)
google avatar

Leandra B.

Yelp
We stopped in for some Christmas presents and got a bar for ourselves. So good! Really unique flavor options that make cool gifts and the employees were so nice and welcoming. They have a good amount of seating to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a really cozy atmosphere.

N S.

Yelp
Received their chocolates as a gift. One box contained several bars including raspberry, mesquite, etc. another box contained truffles of various flavors. In my house, chocolate simply doesn't survive for more than a few days. I am more a fan of European chocolate, but honestly even Hershey with Almonds gets eaten pretty quickly. So yes, we love chocolate. This chocolate simply doesn't taste good. Don't know what it is exactly, maybe overly sweet, but we just didn't like it. Which is sad given how much money was spent on it. Add this to the list of pretentious stuff being sold to unsuspecting fools by Brooklyn hipsters....sad. Why don't these guys just emulate a Swiss brand to at least make the product taste better...

Meghan K.

Yelp
This is not a review of the factory/store experience, but a review of the chocolate I tried (purchased at a coffee shop in Tarrytown- $5 for 1 ounce). I like the intense chocolate flavor, but didn't really get much hazelnut coming through. I was disappointed in the texture of the middle part, somewhat powdery and that made for an unpleasant eating experience. I would not purchase this chocolate again.
google avatar

Hazel S.

Yelp
Seriously the most amazing hazelnut chocolate spread I've ever had. I was a big Nutella fan but after learning about palm oil in it I had to find a cleaner alternative and this is so so so good. I add a spoon to my overnight oats to make it chocolatey, on toast ,with a spoon I mean the possibilities are endless!! I can keep going on and on about what a yummy yummy product this is. I bought the whole spread from their website. Trust me you want them all.
google avatar

Annabelle V.

Yelp
Disregard the fact that it's raw and vegan- compared to any artisanal chocolate, it's amazing. They use coconut sugar to sweeten it, so it's not extremely sugary yet satisfies the need for rich chocolate. Get the chunky bars- a mix between chocolate bar and truffle- the best is the coconut cacao. The hazelnut butter bar one is good as well. If you can, sample the hazelnut cacao butter because it's basically a more pure, delicious form of Nutella. Tons of samples at this showroom so grab as many as you want! Chunky bars are usually $7, mini ones are $5, and I believe the regular chocolate bars are $7-$8.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
My all time favorite place to get chocolate. The truffles here are amazing and I love that they use coconut sugar in their chocolate to sweeten it. The ingredients they use are such high quality. The first time I came here, they used to name their dulce de leche spread unicorn tears and for good reason. It's a dangerous dangerous splurge and hard not to just eat huge spoonfuls of it.
google avatar

Channon D.

Yelp
Completely love this. I'm allergic to so much that it makes it difficult to actually find chocolate items I'm allowed to eat. I ordered all the spreads and have tried two. Both have been phenomenal! 100% going to order more when these run out.
google avatar

Beth A.

Yelp
My Hazelnut Butter spread and Chunky came in record time. Sadly, the Chunky didn't last 24 hours. The Spread is amazing. I dunked the Chunky in it. After refrigeration, the spread gets thick so I melted it in my coffee from Brooklyn Roastery. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Fine & Raw on Facebook. I was interested because they make chocolate hazelnut spread without palm oil. I ordered the dark chocolate hazelnut spread and a set of their organic chocolate bars. Everything is delicious. It's definitely the best hazelnut chocolate spread I've ever tried. I will order again. It would be amazing if they could get their stuff into a chain store like Whole Foods.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Sent the full spread I think that's what it was called 4 jars in a gift box to friends as a surprise. They were so pleased said the chocolate was delicious finished off the first jar within the first 24 hours. I guess I'm gonna have to get more for myself and them

Jasmine M.

Yelp
I absolutely love the dark chocolate hazelnut butter spread!!!! Just one teaspoon full and I am in heaven . Thank you!
google avatar

Teresa S.

Yelp
Clean & Delicious!!!!! Two words, if only, to describe their vegan 'Nutella' aka Hazelnut Chocolate spread!!! I love how they sweeten it with coconut sugar, and has no extra added fats, preservatives or other illegitimate ingredients, like 'natural flavors'!!! All their ingredients are high-quality!!!Their truffles are also divine!!! Makes for a nice and very special gift. Service is also impeccable! Packaging and delivery all made the entire Chocolate Experience up to par!!!!

Chris S.

Yelp
As a family with tons of allergies it is hard to find clean products that work for us and that are worth eating. These products are great! Many limited ingredient chocolates can be tasty but gritty. These are smooth, creamy, delicious!
google avatar

Nadia Z.

Yelp
"Highly recommend storing at least one on your tongue for 5 minutes everyday." That's what their website suggests for storage. I been following this advice for a week now, and it stored fantaaaaaabulously!!! Try it. Now! The store and factory pretty awesome. A chocolate factory in a heart of ol' Williamsburg... Pull that tall and heavy metal door and step into a dream... Chocolate dream... Rustic, a bit industrial, open lofty space with couple couches and low tables. You can see factory floor thru the glass wall, how cool is that? Different bars and flavors to choose from, and you can do cute gift boxes too - treat yourself or that special someone! The Salt bar is very good - great balance, and so is Mesquite - nice choice if you looking for something subtle and not too sweet! Lucuma & Vanilla is heavenly. I can eat that all day... (wait, I been eating it all day!) Also tried Bonbons and Chunky bars - they are good, but I still prefer regular bars - all of them. They also serve hot chocolate (of course), which I am yet to try. I will! Definitely will be back.

Yelp
A few of us from the 4th street Food Co-op took the tour of this factory on a Saturday; the factory is right around the corner from the Pine Box Rock Shop, where there was a Vegan Shop-Up taking place that day. We had a great time gawking at the machines; when they showed us the enrobing machine--for coating chocolates--everyone recalled the episode of "I Love Lucy" in which Lucy and Ethel are working in a chocolate factory on the assembly line. (The conveyor belt starts moving faster and faster, and the two start stuffing chocolates in their mouths, their shirts, anywhere they can hide them to keep up the pace. ) Tip: Although these chocolates are pricey, they're meticulously crafted and worth the price, in my opinion; also, the best price around is to be had at the 4th street co-op. If you're a working member, you can get an even deeper discount. Just sayin.'

Carolien D.

Yelp
I purchased a variety collection (TGIF) as a birthday gift for an ultimate foodie! They were an absolute hit! I was told the truffles were better than any neuhaus from Europe! Huge compliments to Fine and Raw! I now have a got to for plant based chocolates!
google avatar

Elena R.

Yelp
They like to ignore their clients during they talk to their friends outside, so you often end up not being able to buy anything at their store. Over priced
google avatar

George C.

Yelp
The $3 chipotle truffle way out here was quite good. They don't offer tours, and replied with a bad explanation (really a lack thereof) when I asked about tours*, which is odd because there's likely not much foot traffic as they seemed scared by my entrance but I guess they're content with their current distribution-heavy model. *I asked how they made their hot chocolate and received the answer "we just heat up dark chocolate", so they clearly need some marketing help.

Lori P.

Yelp
The chocolate hazelnut butter spread is my favorite Fine & Raw product but I've enjoyed all of the chocolate bars and truffles that I've tried as well. And they ship. What's not to like.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Fine & Raw make some of my favorite chocolates. Their space is maybe just as you'd expect: refined with attention to detail and fully functional, but at the same time it looks like people like to let it all hang out and are passionate as F***. Bonus: They were serving coffee roasted by Toby's Estate, another Brooklyn business. The small confections are loaded with flavor. Lots of OMG moments. Bomb.
google avatar

Abigail S.

Yelp
It's a good day when you get a care package of Fine and Raw chocolate. A friend just sent me a birthday selection of their beautifully wrapped bars, some with a sassy cowgirl illustration and others covered in delicate floral designs. The chocolate flavors themselves are rich and concentrated without being cloyingly sweet. The lucuma and vanilla bar is warm and mildly fruity and the alderwood smoked salt variety has a faint campfire mystery to it. I look forward to visiting their shop on some future trip to Bushwick, but in the meantime, for non-locals, products can be purchase through their online store.
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
Omg! Calling all chocolate lovers. Although the bonbons are the best in the planet that hot cocoa tho! We were there is the summer as well and had a cold chocolate drink, never had anything like it anywhere else. A little out of the way but worth it. It's a cool upcoming area with great graffiti! Check out Roberta's around the corner afterward! Life is uncertain, have dessert first!

Shu L.

Yelp
Frightfully addictive! So happy this company created these tasty products!

Jeannie D.

Yelp
SO SO GOOD! It's day 2 and I've eaten a half jar of Oatmilk Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Spread and I haven't spread any of it on anything :) So creamy and chocolatey and actually good for you! Just ordered some for my daughter-in-law who is GF DF. She's going to flip! Thanks Fine & Raw! Jeannie D, Kalamazoo MI

Ju M.

Yelp
Amazing product! Loved the original spread and all chocolates I ordered. I am definitely buying their product again!

Yelp
Fine & Raw Chocolate Factory was such a fun stop! Visiting Brooklyn for the first time me and my friends were in the mood to check out coffee shops. As we were walking around we came across the factory and had to go in. When we walked in we were greeted with not only the beautiful smell of coco beans and chocolate but also one of the Factories employee Courtney Fitzgerald; by the end of our visit we renamed her Charlie =). Courtney was very knowledgeable about the factory, gave us a tour, explained the chocolate making process, and had samples (which is always awesome!!!) Me and my friends also got the opportunity to meet the chocolate makers (sisters) that were also very nice! It was an all around great visit! They have such a unique style and chocolate selection and they have Coffee!! It's a definite must visit if you haven't yet! Thank you again for all your help Charlie =)

Julie A.

Yelp
I didn't enjoy this product. I was hopeful given the ingredients and how it was made, but disappointed in it, and now have no idea what to do with it besides trying to find someone who might take it. FYI: Doesn't taste like hazelnut AT ALL.

Mai D.

Yelp
I ordered all of the spread and love all of them. Most of all the ingredients. I enjoyed putting it on my bread and my daughter dipped it in strawberries and apples. Healthy way of eating fruits and snacks. Thank you. Will order again.
google avatar

Aurora C.

Yelp
I am obsessed with dark chocolate and this is dark chocolate heaven! When you walk in you see how much of the facility is used to create their masterpieces! There is a shelf on the right that has many different types of chocolate bars, from hazelnut to espresso! They have a variety of truffles and gift box options of different combinations of bars and truffles. I went in for a chocolate shake and left with a hot chocolate! It was so delicious and so rich, you really taste the freshness and the bitterness of the dark chocolate. They have some seasonal flavors for their hot chocolate as well. What was nice is that they have different milk options for the hot chocolate so if you can't drink whole milk no worries! Since the hot chocolate can be bitter to those used to sweeter hot chocolates, they have sugar on the side that you can add as well as pieces of cocoa and cinnamon!

Bruce H.

Yelp
The quality ingredients are superb in taste, size of container and fees for regular usps are way overpriced .
google avatar

Louis B.

Yelp
The service was bad The chocolate was ok (expensive !!!) but the employee was rude with you as well with our kids. We won't come back.
