Best New York Restaurants for the End of Summer | Eater NY

"My summer days in Brooklyn follow a similar rhythm: coffee, run, write, eat, drink, repeat. The running, which I often do in Brooklyn Bridge Park, has gotten way more interesting since Sean Feeney and Will Unseld, the former chef de cuisine of Misi, opened Fini Patio Bar in June. Their red-sauce restaurant serves more than just their out-of-this-world pizza, in both New York and deep-ish dish square styles, but also chicken Parms, sausage-stuffed peppers, and fried calamari. Finishing a run with the goal of lunch at Fini has really changed my pacing. (If I’m running on a Thursday, sometimes I get the insane babka pizza at Bread’s at Pier 1. Either way, my pace is down from a 12-minute mile to 11 minutes and 37 seconds.) Fini has more than just food going for it; it’s got the breeze off the water, and, if you have kids, it makes a perfect spot to eat and drink in peace while they play at the piers." - Andrea Strong

I wa already a huge fan of Fini's sliced pizza, but this new spot completely exceed my expectations! White pizza was amazing, you can definitely enjoy the lemon flavor. Service was so nice and the vibe is just very chill. Definitely recommend going

Great views, great vibes, and great tasting pizza. Drinks were also good. All around great experience. It was kid and dog friendly. Had seating inside and outside. Also, they had live piano music.

Just held our 50th HS reunion at Fini, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff was great in accommodating a party of over 40 and the food was excellent. The evening was topped off with the sunset views over the river. See you soon

Very disappointed with this café. The Sicilian pizza was served cold, with a base that tasted like it was baked two days ago. The cheese was just grated on top and not even melted. The salad was nothing but arugula with balsamic vinegar – bland and unappetizing. On top of that, the prices are far too high for such poor quality. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Google
This place is just so-so, of course the location is great and I wanted to love the food but given the prices it was not worth it. I can eat in a Michelin star restaurant in Manhattan for the same cost. $22 for a modest salad. $27 for a small pie. 30-something for a chicken parm. The dishes needed to be special at this pricing but they weren’t. The marg ($19) was modest too but tasty.

The piano player was the star of the evening. Such a beautiful kind presence. My children loved her. She was incredibly kind to our kids even in the midst of their inquisitive nature. She was busy playing and still found time to interact with them. I absolutely loved her. The pizza the kids loved and the service was easy and attentive. My salad hit the spot. I will definitely be frequenting this spot with my husband again and I can’t wait to see another piano set from this beautiful piano player.

My wife and child had a great time here. Food was good and beers were great. I felt it was a little pricey for pizza tho. $55 for 2 beers ($13 a piece) and a small pizza seemed a bit rich to me. I get NY prices but need to settle down a little.

My family was really excited to try this restaurant after being such big fans of Lilia and Misi. On an early Saturday night, we tried to get a table and the hostess wouldn't seat us, saying the wait was an hour and a half (even though there were empty tables). We then checked on Resy and there were tables available online within 30 minutes. Not sure why the hostess wouldn't seat my wife, child, and me. Guess it's L&B from now on!

Yelp
My fiancé and I passed by this new pizza spot a few weeks ago during a walk along the piers and we had to give it try because of our love for the B-Heights and my love for pizza (she has more of a love-hate type thang with za) The patio seating was very nice, giving us a great view of the city and also allowed us to bring our dog. Service was great and we received our pizza pretty quickly. We decided to go with the thick Sicilian style pizza, which was actually a pretty good price for the amount of pizza they give you and it ended up being lunch for the following two days. I thought the pizza was fairly good however, my fiancé was less of a fan but still thought it wasn't bad. Our overall take on the place was positive and we think it might be a good place to have a drink with a good view in the future!

Yelp
The views and outdoor patio are great here, and are what drew my fiancé and I to try the place out! For food, I personally was not a fan of the pizza we tried which was the tomato and parm Sicilian pizza. My fiancé liked it a lot more than me though, and he loves pizza! Overall I am glad we tried it out and enjoyed the ambiance, and it's also pet friendly :)

Yelp
Read what they did with the autistic child on 4th of July. Sad to read that and this place should know better. Don't think you can be dismissive and people will just look the other way. No, you should be investigated and videos reviewed of how you treated that autistic child. Nobody wants subpar places with dismissive staff in the neighborhood. You should reevaluate if you should even be open to the public.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere the moment I walked through the door greeted by the lovely sounds from a piano. Overall great time and blue note quality sounds. I shall be going back in the near future.

Yelp
I live and work in this area. Wonderful bar and restaurant. They have great steak. Also gluten free options. Scope out the pizza. Live music is fun.

Yelp
I went there to see when they were going to be opening. I went there and it was great. Had a wonderful time. I went back on the 4th and had a wonderful time. The pianist was wonderful. Food was great. I recommend going there.
