Tahini Brings Turkish Coffee and Middle Eastern Desserts to Kearny Mesa - Eater San Diego

"Called Finjan after the Arabic word for 'coffee cup', the cafe is starting with a menu of standard and specialty espresso drinks using James Coffee, like cortados, cappuccinos, and iced sparkling orange espressos as well as cold brew coffee, tea, and daytime snacks ranging from yogurt parfaits to toasts topped with za'atar-spiced labne or mashed fava beans and tahini. More of the Middle Eastern side of the menu should be introduced by early 2023, with a selection of desserts based on homemade phyllo dough, including knafeh, a sugar syrup-soaked pastry with shredded phyllo dough and cheese filling, and baklawa layered with nuts and honey. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Finjan will also serve real Turkish coffee, brewed in a traditional Turkish sand coffee machine, along with Arabic coffee and Moroccan mint tea." - Candice Woo

Google
Excellence service, relaxed, lots of parking and THE BEST COFFEE IVE HAD in SD!!! Be here! Great options too! I got Orange Coffee-yum-that’s love! This place has a calm vibe and good Middle Eastern music. Baklava! Wow! Great not overly sweet stuff here! Grab that! Really one of the best ever! I love this place and see why it’s so highly rated. Clairemont area, but not on the strip. Close to Convoy!

Google
Nice spot to study. If you’re looking for some Mediterranean tea & coffee selection plus dessert then this is the place to be. They get pretty busy but plenty of parking space. They have indoor and outdoor seating and their bathroom is nice.

Google
I've gotten countless of drinks from this place and have always enjoyed every single drink I have gotten. I absolutely love their specialty drinks and would highly recommend trying all of them. They have creative flavor profiles that are unique and delicious! Their coffee is good, although the profile of the coffee doesn't have any significant notes, the overall flavor is still good and enjoyable. I also have tried their turkish coffee and would highly recommend to everyone! I appreciate that you can customize it to your preferences. I also enjoy the deserts they serve and recommend trying them all. This place does get crowded at times, so it can be difficult to find a table to do work at, but if you go during hours of low traffic, then it shouldn't be too hard to grab a table.

Never disappointed when coming here! Coffee is delicious and food always is flavorful and fresh. When you come here, you can feel the warmth and welcome from the staff. A true Gem. Top marks from me.

Google
I recently tried Finjan for the first time and I got one of the best lattes I’ve ever had! I also tried the Sparkling Arabica Fruit Punch which was delicious & refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back here often!

Google
Love the vibe and coffee at Finjan Coffee! The shop is crowded with customers on their laptops and enjoying their orders. We ordered the walnut baklava latte and Dubai chocolate cold brew. Didn’t order any food, but it looked really good and made me wish I did. Love the Arabic themed menu, music, and decor. The staff are very friendly and quick. Nice outdoor patio as well. Definitely recommend.

This is a bit of a belated post, but I was just pulling up pictures from our visit in April to show a friend and realized I forgot to make one then! Three friends and I had dinner in the neighborhood and searched for a tea place nearby to chat a little longer. We were so happy to find Finjan! Though it was getting late there were still a few groups inside, comfortable and quiet enough for an enjoyable tea and small dessert. Staff was very welcoming and helpful when a couple of us had questions. The tea was fantastic, full of flavour without being too sweet or overwhelming. The sweet bite alongside complemented it perfectly. Thank you for a memorable evening. We’ll be bringing some new friends soon!

Google
If I could rate this place 1 billion stars, I definitely would! I got a Knafeh (smooth), baklava, and Turkish coffee with light sweetness. I love that this place is open late bc it’s super helpful for people who work 2nd or graveyard shifts like me. I came here with an open mind and ordered the Knafeh despite not knowing what it was and I was impressed with how crunchy and cheesy it tasted and the Turkish coffee was so cute and had chunks which makes it unique.

Yelp
A hidden gem coffee shop in Kearny Mesa! The iced orange latte was refreshing and tasted good, but the orange flavor did not come through as much. Side note: this didn't impact the flavor but I loved that they used circular ice cubes! My friend also tried the Turkish coffee and said it was one of the strongest they've had. The toasts came out on gorgeous plates and tasted as good as they looked! The Labne toast was tasty and the ingredients paired well with each other, especially with the mint. The monkey toast would be better for those with a sweet tooth, and had simple and fresh ingredients that could definitely be recreated at home. Service was fantastic and our plates were cleared for us, and with the indoor and outdoor seating it was a great spot for us to catch up and relax.

Yelp
This place is a gem. Amazing! There's not many coffee spots in the area that serve great espresso, this one is my favorite. I love ordering online before I leave for work. I typically get a cappuccino with almond milk here. I also love their iced latte unsweetened with almond milk. They have sphere ice, ice game on point! One time a woman working was so kind and made me a mint iced latte with fresh mint (which is not on the menu). She was so kind to do so, I hope they add this to the menu in the future! I've had their Turkish coffee, it was a cool experience but not an everyday thing for me. It's a tiny spot, few tables to work and hang. Get lunch at Tahini next door! :)

Yelp
The coffee and knafeh are legit and the customer service is great! The only thing I don't like about this place is that it is super small and packed indoors and you're basically forced to sit outside and guess when your order is ready. You can't even wait by the counter because it's narrow and it's by the entrance. I'll have to try and get here between the hours of 6:30-8am because there is no way you'll get indoor seating after 9am.

Yelp
Delicious baklawa and amazing coffee. The staff is friendly and very polite. The vibe is great for working and plenty of tables. One of the best baklawa in town. The price is okay.

Yelp
What a great little place on clairmont mesa. A unique and one of a kind coffee shop that specializes in Turkish coffee, espresso , and wonderful deserts such as baklava among others. Make sure to get here at a early time or mid day to avoid the rushes. Be patient because Turkish coffee takes time!

Yelp
Finjan had been on my list for a while now and I'm glad I got a chance to come visit. The menu is unlike any I've seen before. Their menu leans to Middle Eastern flavors and they serve Arabic and Turkish coffee. I enjoyed a Basbousa cold brew, a spring special cold brew that has hints of coconut in the cold foam and the stewed fava bean toast. Amazing tastes. The coffee was well balanced and not too sweet. The toast was a large portion and good enough for dinner. The barista was so great and she answered all my questions and gave me some suggestions for my next visit. The knafeh is the clear favorite item to order. It is made to order so it comes out hot and flaky. I've saw many of the patrons order this and it's definitely on my list to try next time. The barista also noted the baklawa is made fresh in the morning and if I wanted to try that, to come early. I will also do that since it's one of my favorite pasties. Unique places like Finjān are rare finds. Order online available. Casual. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
Unassuming tinted window front door entrance leads to a minimalist clean and inviting interior. The open kitchen concept allows one to see the Turkish coffee being made. I ordered the salted pistachio latte, labne toast and a pistachio baklava. The pics below are beautiful and the taste of each was a Turkish delight to say the least! Will be back and you should too!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm giving them 5 for the food & drink quality. The baklava was good. Very rich. My boyfriend Kevin doesn't like coffee, but he even tried the Moroccan mint tea cold brew and said it was good. Kevin also ordered the monkey toast. He says it was okay. It was a casual place inside.

Yelp
Wow, this place was delicious! We tried 2 of the coffee sodas: Sparkling Mazagran which is their take on a classic North African drink. It had: Double Shot Espresso + House Lemon Syrup + Fresh Mint + Sumac + Topo Chico. They give you the extra topo chico on the side which is nice. And they use the sphere ice cubes which is so cool. But the drink was delicious and refreshing. Finished it instantly. Sparkling Coconut Lime Coffee Soda which was a seasonal special. It had: Double Shot Espresso + House Coconut Syrup + Fresh Lime + Topo Chico Sparkling Water but strangely this one did not come with the extra topo chico on the side like the Mazagran. Also very refreshing and delicious. It tasted a little creamy from the coconut. We also tried 1 piece of Baklawa and should have got more. Super flaky, buttery, perfect sweetness and nuttiness. Delicious. $4/piece though. Place had constant stream of people on a mid-morning Saturday. Enough parking though I think because nothing else was open in there at that hour.

Yelp
Finjan is the kind of place that just feels good to be in. It's relaxed, welcoming, and beautifully designed without trying too hard. Everything I ordered was great. The Moroccan mint tea was fresh and comforting. The toasts were flavorful, thoughtfully made, and really well balanced. The nut butter toast with fruit is probably my favorite. The space is bright, clean, and full of small details that make it feel intentional. Even the dishes are beautiful, and the atmosphere feels calm in the best way. The only downside is the parking lot. It's tight and frustrating, but that's more of a Kearny Mesa issue than a Finjan one. Just give yourself a few extra minutes if you're driving. If I lived closer, I'd come here all the time. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something peaceful with great food and drinks.

Yelp
Finjan coffee, I'll be honest, I'm there for only 2 things. The best knafeh, I just love the crunchiness. Was unable to find the crunch at other places. Second, is the mint tea. Other items on the menu are good, but for me, this is the go to. Must go place to get a different perspective and new coffee taste. Bon appetite:)

Yelp
Came here with a friend & we got the turkish coffee and cinammon honey latte. The turkish coffee was great! I loved that the turkish coffee let's you choose the sweetness level. The cinnamon honey latte was so pretty, and delicious. The shop itself is quiet, perfect for people who want to study/get work done. The baristas were very kind and helpful-- one of them mentioned that the coffee shop and restaurant next door have the same owner! The food next door smelt amazing so I'll def come back for that!! & also to try their nitro cold brew.

Yelp
Great spot opened late night! We needed a place to get some work done on a Friday night and this was the perfect spot! There's is indoor seated with tables and outlets. I will say it was mostly full with people working on a Friday night. I got the Salted pistachio latte and pistachio baklava and both were so delicious!'! Staff is super friendly and helpful and I will be adding this to our rotation of work spaces!
google avatar

Bella C.

Yelp
This place is so great and I'd come here again and again. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. My must-try's are the pistachio baclava and buttered pecan latte (a seasonal special). It does get a little busy, but I haven't had any trouble snagging a table (maybe a little bit of luck helped). They also have outlets near most tables, making it easy to set up for remote work. One feedback is that their hot for-here cups don't have any handles, making them extremely hot and painful to carry to your table. Finjan, please use hot mugs with handles!! I'm sure your baristas will appreciate that while they're pouring the drinks as well.
google avatar

Isabella R.

Yelp
Staff is very helpful. They're willing to answer questions. They are also very mindful of the customers patience. I stopped by the other day and ordered the Butter Pecan Iced Latte along with a Knafeh Khishneh. Delicious! I highly recommend the Knafeh Khishneh.

Yelp
Finjan Coffee has been on our radar for a while. We finally got the chance to give it a try! As we walked in the door, we were immediately greeted by the employees working. At the front entrance is where you would pick up your order. You'll have to walk further in to read the menu and order. For being a first timer, the lady was very patient and polite while we asked a ton of questions! We ended up ordering the Turkish coffee. ( Mazboot: meaning for the latte drinker ) They offer different levels. The menu shows whether you're the strong espresso lover to the sweet coffee drinker. We also ordered the avocado toast. It was delicious. The balsamic glaze was not sour like some that you'd find in salads. Overall, a very nice coffee shop. The decor was beautiful. They offer unique Turkish coffees as well as the regular coffees, teas, desserts to refreshers and three other types of toasts. Employees were friendly and helpful. Parking is a shared parking lot with other businesses. Busy times could get tricky! We will be back to try other menu items!!!
google avatar

Brittaney L.

Yelp
This spot is EVERYTHING! The toasts were so fresh & clean. The tea was so tasteful and made exactly how I expected and more. The service was so kind, friendly, & diverse! The place was spotless! Total grab and go or grab and chat. It's a small location but so worth the visit. I'll deff be coming back!
google avatar

Nikita P.

Yelp
I love this place. The menu is full of great options and their drinks are really unique. It does get busy, so finding a seat inside to work can be a bit tricky, but they also have outdoor seating with umbrellas, which is a nice bonus. Their coffee is always brewed just right, and their tea is just as good. I especially recommend the Turkish tea or Turkish coffee.
google avatar

Nell E.

Yelp
Finjan, what a delicious tea shop with so many options to ring in Spring! delicious baklava and Karak tea, sugared and creamed to perfection. not much seating but grab a seat at Tahini next door, same owner! a bit expensive, but a fabulous treat.
google avatar

Cher G.

Yelp
Staff was super friendly. I ordered the dubai chocolate cold brew and it was amazing; I love when my coffee isn't too bitter. There were lots of people seated and socializing or working. I only wish that I could've pre-ordered knafeh for pickup, but I was in a hurry and couldn't wait the 10min for it to be made to order. Looking forward to stopping in when I can sit down to order knafeh and experience Turkish coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
I am really picky with my drinks, but this spot never misses! I recently visited with a friend and we were helped right away. My friend got a Knafeh Cold Foam Cold Brew, which was a seasonal item, and I just got a box of 9 Pistachio Baklawa for $25 because I remember this spot being one of my favorite places for baklawa. I love the little details inside the shop, from the quote on the wall, to the way you could watch your drinks being made and even see it being made in the sand, Turkish style. While there were plenty of seating inside, it was all filled up, so we enjoyed our purchases at one of their outdoor seating. The Pistachio Baklawa here are by far some of the best I've ever had in SD. Some places drench it in honey making it soggy, but Finjan's are perfectly sweetened without it being overpowering AND the flavor is on point. I also like that the 2x I've purchased baklawas from here, it has always been consistent in texture, flavor, and quality. I can't wait to go back and get more + try out their other drinks!

Yelp
I love coming here! The food is fresh and flavorful. The coffee does not disappoint. Very friendly and helpful staff who are ready and willing to answer any questions and/or provide suggestions. Just an all around wonderful place to get nourished. @sturdygirlstyle #sturdygirlstyle

Yelp
My friend and I had a great experience at this coffee shop! The inside area is on the smaller side and was quite busy on a Saturday around 12. However there is a ton of outdoor seating. We got the Lebneh toast, Avo toast, Iced Chai, and Vanilla latte. I thoroughly enjoyed the chai (thanks to the other reviewers for the rec) as it was floral and delicious. The toast was good, although i did note the cucumbers seemed a bit dry. Overall a great place to work or catch up with friends over good food and drinks!

Yelp
Blueberry, mint refresher 9/10 Everything about this place is amazing. Now this place isn't too spacious, but it does have some room if you want to meet up with friends or work on your laptop. I didn't get to try any of the caffeinated drinks since it was a little late in the day, but I did have the blueberry mint refresher , and it was very, very refreshing. It's essentially a blueberry, mint fizzy lemonade. I thought the orange peel and the topo Chico sparkling water was an elegant touch. The service was awesome. The ladies that happened to be working there that evening were very kind and very welcoming. If I'm ever in the area and just polished off a hefty meal, I'm gonna need one of those blueberry mint refreshers!

Yelp
Seems like a very popular cafe, as it was quite crowded with lots of people coming in and out. We ordered the salted pistachio latte, walnut baklava latte (seasonal), avocado toast, and labne toast. I usually order my drinks with light ice wherever I go, because a lot of places REALLY overdo it and fill like 90% of their cups with ice, which is just impractical. At Finjan, they don't go crazy on the ice, but at the same time it's one of those places where if you order your drink with light ice, they only fill up the cup like 3/4 of the way. I get it, you're giving the same amount of drink as if you got it with regular ice, but it's a pet peeve when cafes do this. If the drink looks this empty when asking for light ice, you're using too much ice by default. Plus, most other cafes will still fill it up all the way. I just think it's not a good look or experience. The drinks did taste good and as described, so it's good on the flavor front. The avocado toast was decent, and my husband said the labne toast was good. It offers something a little different, so it was a nice visit. But I will likely not be revisiting because there are other good cafes that aren't skimpy.

Yelp
great turkish experience in sd. coffee is warmed on hot sand and ambience is wonderful.

Yelp
Today is Monday and boy does it feel like a Monday. I can hardly open my eyes at work so I needed a pick me up. Decided to try something new. This place was sweet from the minute I walked in the door. Service was outstanding. Very friendly staff made me feel comfy on what to order. This pistachio latte has crushed up nuts in it with a hint of sweetness. I chose oat milk and it's one of the creamiest coffee I've had in awhile. I would love to come back one day to try the Turkish coffee. That is the most popular choice. Sweet place plenty of room to make it your personal workspace.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
The basbousa latte is the best seasonal drink they have created to date! If you like coconut, this is definitely the drink for you. The baristas are always very friendly and open to giving recommendations. I do wish they would consider removing the fee for half-caff. Another $1.50 on a $7 drink is steep. It's a bit unusual to see since I haven't had to pay extra for half-caff elsewhere.
google avatar

Dylan D.

Yelp
Great Turkish coffee! I've never tried any Turkish coffee before since the options were so scarce in San Diego, I figured I would try it out during my visit to Finjan Coffee to study. The interior is quite clean and seems to be well set-up for the flow of traffic when coffee-drinkers line up the door, which is certainly a plus in comparison to other shops where the moment it get busy with orders the whole shop is engulfed with people in the seating area and elsewhere in the cafe making it seemed more cramp. This doesn't seem to be the case with Finjan which is a plus! Service is quite attentive and I never had to wait too long for the coffee or food options to be ready, which ultimately allows me to allocate more time to study instead of waiting for my items. While food is certainly limited on their menus I tried their Monkey Toast and quite liked it, but definitely isn't priced as fairly as it could be considering the size and portions. Their Turkish Coffee (while the beans at the bottom isn't really my favorite aspect of the drink) is still very good, same with the Arab Cold Brew Coffee for something more akin to other coffee spots you might order from in terms of flavor. This place will definitely be on my radar when I'm in the area looking for more unique ethnic coffee options.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
Recently found this gem near my work. Place is clean and stylish, love the exposure to middle eastern culture, and the flavors are spectacular. Staff is friendly. Like what this place stands for and love the aromatic inspirations. Would recommend the Arab cold brew or one of their orange flavored drinks
google avatar

Neha G.

Yelp
5/5 rating for their karak chai. I asked while ordering if it is close to Indian tea and she confirmed yes. It came in a nice kettle, with 4 cups for sharing and looked so cute and photogenic. It was sweet but not too much. I would say it was very very close to the Indian tea if not exact match. It took around 10 mins but wait was definitely worth it. For the food we got fabo toast and avocado toast. I like the fabo toast more as it was pretty unique with beans spread on it. Avocado toast had little too much balsamic so I found it little bit on Tangier side. Oh and they made fresh baklawa when we got there, we tried one piece and it amazing. MUST TRY.

Yelp
Good strong Middle Eastern coffee. - Salted pistachios latte - Ice vanilla bean latte
google avatar

Joanna O.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying that I am not a regular coffee/tea drinker but I may become one after having Finjan's iced chai. The chai was aromatic and full of flavor. It is SO much better than Starbucks. From the moment you walk in you are hit with the smell of spices and coffee. Their menu has some unique coffees like the one my husband ordered (salted pistachio latte). We tried the salted pistachio latte over ice and it was delicious!! We loved how they use round large ice cubes instead of filling the cup with ice like other coffee shops. The large ice did not water down the drink and kept it cold for longer. The service was fast and the employees were kind. The barista recommended that we try the pistachio baklava with our drinks and let me tell you, that baklava is literally the best baklava I've ever had and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. If you're looking to support a small business and get some damn good coffee then Finjan coffee is the place to go to.

Yelp
Loved their latte, they have some tables available but it would be hard to get a s spot to sit and enjoy your coffee during the weekends as it can get busy. Will definitely come back

Yelp
I just wanted to take a moment to share how wonderful my experience was at FinJan! Elika was incredibly kind and helpful when assisting me in finding a tasty beverage that would work with my allergies. I truly appreciate her patience and the care she took to make sure I found something safe and delicious. Thank you again, Elika, for all your help both the day I came in and the many times you have answered the phone to help me identify what is safer for my body! Also, Priscilla (I hope I'm spelling your name correctly!) is always so welcoming and kind. She made me feel cared for when I came in, and I really appreciate her positive attitude. She also made my coffee just the way I like it, which made my day even better. Thank you again for always taking the time to review all the ingredients and help me identify a safer options for me to consum. Thank you both for always going above and beyond, even when you're busy! I absolutely love your orange mocha beverage and will definitely be coming back soon.

Yelp
Went my friends to check out this place because we've never had Turkish coffee before. It's welcoming upon entering and you can smell the delicious coffee. You can see them make the Turkish coffee with their measurements and brewing the coffee in the little copper pot and the sand which is pretty cool! The coffee for me was extremely strong so be careful for those who can't handle the caffeine. It was a bit too strong for me but I can taste the bold and richness of the coffee. The coffee comes in a small cup and is meant to be sipped. I also got the Labne toast (Labne, Zaatar, Persian Cucumber, Grape Tomatoes, Fresh Mint). I really like this one because it reminds me of avocado toast but not. A more refreshing and light because of the Labne (plain yogurt). It gives it an almost whipped cheese taste but tart yogurt flavor. Everything else makes the toast more bright. A great light snack to go with your coffee. I came back another time and checked out their Moroccan mint tea. It was hot and a touch of mint which was nice and refreshing and I liked that it was just the right amount of sweetness

Yelp
Finally! A quality, independent coffee shop with uncommon and delicious coffees. My go to is the Salted Pistachio Latte. Always pleasant service. Please open a location in Carmel Valley or Del Mar beach areas, this kind of place would be greatly appreciated.

Yelp
First time trying this spot out! I went on a Saturday around 9:30am. There aren't many coffee shops in the area other than Starbucks. The other places in the surrounding area (convoy) don't really open until 11am, so I was happy to find this place. Walking inside, it was nicely decorated and clean. It was smaller than I expected, but there's a good size outdoor patio space with plenty of seating. Seating was almost full inside but there were some open spots at their long table with bar stools. Fortunately, the line wasn't long and while I waited I looked over the menu posted just before the register. For coffee I wanted to do something different from the usual so I went with their Turkish Coffee with Nutella. It was tasty. You have to drink it fairly quick though because all the Nutella will settle. The avocado toast was delish. I ordered it without the tomatoes and it was so yummy. There was the perfect amount of spice added to it. I loved that there was a lemon on the side and the radish was a nice addition too. Overall, nice visit! I would definitely go back to try some of their other drink options. ** Almost forgot to add pictures **

Yelp
I was driving for a while heading south, and I needed a pick me up. I found this coffee shop on my map app, and I was so happy I came in. I had the most delicious coffee AND I finally tried knafeh. Took it to go because I wanted to share with my kids, but I couldn't resist. I took one bite, forget it! I finished it off in my car. Amazing! I need to come back, I'll have to bring my kids this time.

Yelp
Such a fun discovery! The pistachio baklawa is AMAZING. Make sure to get there early if you're hoping to buy a box of them because they make them fresh every morning and are more likely to run out later in the day. The sparkling orange espresso was not for me... but the barista was so kind to make a new drink I REALLY appreciate it. Vanilla bean latte was yummy and so was the hot chai! Can't wait to try new toasts the next time I visit!
google avatar

Yelp
We went for the second time this morning for Turkish coffee and delights! Today walnut and pistachio baklava and knafeh! The women at the bar are exceptional; such friendly patient service! The cafe is cozy and charming. Today's choices were perfect!! We plan to bring more family next visit!
google avatar

Yelp
The coffees were amazing. Very tasty although the pistachio latte was not sweet. Cappuccino was tasty. Their cups are very nice! Love the touch of Arabic on the cups and the wall!! They also have tea pots you can order instead of one cup of tea. So many items on the menu to try! Overall great drinks but food was meh The avocado toast had great toppings but the bread was extremely hard almost stale. We came back a second time just for knafeh but they were near closing time. So the cashier rushed us and did not cook the knafeh well. It was not sweet and undercooked and flavorless. We were really looking forward to it before but were disappointed.

Yelp
Finjan is a really neat coffee shop. They have seating both indoor and outdoor. Parking is plentiful in the private small parking lot. It was nice that they offered food as well. The latte I got came with two espresso shots, which was nice and strong. I can see myself coming back. I really enjoyed my honey cinnamon latte with oat milk and the labne toast!

Yelp
My second time here and I got the Vanilla Bean Latte. It was so good!! Not overly sweet and not bitter from the espresso. There was a nice creaminess to it and the taste went down smooth. Slightly small shop, around 6 tables inside and a couple outdoor seats. They have food options and baklava as well. The ice is so cute and definitely adds to the aesthetic of the drink. I would come here again for their latte!

Yelp
A small coffee/tea shop near the La Jolla area, stopped by to visit colleagues near the university, and we were able to all try individual teas, as well as buying a pot to share as a collective.

Yelp
Probably the best cup of chai I have had in a long time. Was it worth the $6, yah I would say so, it came in a beautiful cup and the store is beautifully decorated with appropriate decor. The bathroom was surprisingly decorated like a forest and I would say tasteful colors and tile were surrounding the sink. I have not seen a more beautiful place to work and be in. Service was cordial and fast, I am glad we came a bit early before the lunch rush because people did come in and in packs. I did not get a chance to try the food this time but I will be back to try all that the yelpers recommend. I do remember coming here in the past for the yelp elite event and I just forgot about returning until I came for a work meeting. The inside of the store is spacious but it can get crowded during rush hours, however, there is plenty of seating outside. My coworker got a flavored soda and I love how they always give you the bottle to top off. Make a visit when you can.

Yelp
What a great find! I never expected to stumble upon a 5-star Middle Eastern coffee and tea shop. Decor is lovely. Even the bathroom is fabulous. Folks working here all have big smiles on their faces, are kind to all customers. Not sure service can be any better. PISTACHIO BAKLAWA Filo pastry individually layered with butter and filled with chopped pistachios. Sweetened with house made syrup. $4. The baklava was very fresh, the pastry still a bit warm. My guess is they finished it 30 to 45 minutes before I ordered some. It was crunchy, the taste magnificent. I love baklawa and this was one of the best I have tried. It was just the right size for a yummy breakfast treat. PISTACHIO LATTE Perfect. Not too sweet, clean pistachio flavor. Had them make mine with almond milk. Wanted skim and/or 2% but they only stock whole, almond and oat milks. Taste was wonderful - hence forgiven. This is a great little place. My partner had their avocado toast. He loved it. We shall definitely return. Definitely!
