The Best Sports Bars In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"This second coming of a beloved San Francisco sports bar—originally in the East Village—is the best place in town to watch the Giants, 49ers, and Warriors. Finnerty’s 2.0, in Midtown, still has plenty of fernet-fueled Bay Area charm and sports memorabilia. While it gets appropriately rowdy during games, this is nevertheless a good spot for a post-office drink or wings with any colleagues if you work in the area. Even if Derek from accounting doesn’t totally grasp the significance of the life-size painting of Willie Mays making The Catch, it’s still nice to look at." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, bryan kim

17 Bars Where You Can Bring Your Own Food - New York - The Infatuation

"Getting food from Han Dynasty or Joe’s Pizza while drinking a keg with friends may sound like one of those confusing dreams that mixes current life circumstances with college ones, but at Finnerty’s, you can make it a reality. Both of those restaurants are about a block from this East Village sports bar, which offers the option to reserve a keg of anything from its massive beer list." - bryan kim, matt tervooren

Where To Go When Some People In Your Group Care More About Sports Than Others - New York - The Infatuation

"Your roommates don’t actively dislike sports, but they complain about going to sports bars because they don’t want to eat jalapeno poppers or room-temperature chicken tenders. Finnerty’s is an East Village sports bar with a BYO food policy, so you can bring in Han Dynasty or Joe’s Pizza whenever you get hungry - both are a block away. They also offer the option to reserve a keg, which is a good move if you want to day drink with a big group while watching pretty much any game you want (they have a lot of TVs)." - matt tervooren

Google
Great and spacious sports bar. I like the service here better than all the others around the vicinity maybe because it’s not as busy so they pay more attention to you. At the end of the day, all drinks are pretty much the same no matter where you go, but it’s how satisfied and comfortable you feel.

Great new Sports Bar with a lot of space close to Ktown. Brandon was our bartender and took care of us all night! Tons of TVs, ability to split the streams and switch a single TV, which makes it so much easier to watch multiple games. Fantastic new spot that I look forward to visiting more often!!

Google
Soft opening, so no food available yet. But wow, the renovation of this place is gorgeous! Spacious, lots of TV screens everywhere, clean, welcome, and a great neighborhood bar to be in. It's likely to be a neighborhood favorite and staple once it gets up and running. Can't wait! Note: SF giants bar ⚾️

Wonderful week at this bar during the Fifa World Cup of Clubs in NY. The staff managed to properly serve a crowd way more numerous than usual with grace and efficency. Hawaian Kona beer available and great burgers !!! Days to be remembered.

First timer . Was walking around in NY and found this place . When I peaked in it wasn’t that crowded and thought of hopping on . Great location. I looked at copa America flag outside and assumed it was a sports bar . Lots of space inside to sit ! Bar is good . Lots of seats and it was well maintained. They don’t have few brewers and no bluemoon etc. they did have some good IPAs . 10$ per glass of beer: expensive but ok.. No fooooood :( wow. Not even snacks . I’m confused why couldn’t buy some small packet snacks like peanuts and sell locally . You have to chug beer and drink there with zero food . Yeah . They said they were new and it will take a month for the food , but why open a sports bar without food !!!!! Disappointed . They could always buy some snacks and give them to customers .. 3 stars now and if it improves later , I’ll come and update the rankings .

Me and friends went to watch the Canelo vs Crawford fight last night. While other bars only had collegue football or baseball games, this bar had the importants sports events of the night. There were other sports bars next to Finnerty’s who wanted us to charge $20 or $40 of cover per person just to watch sports and in addition to consume what they offer, which is a joke. However, Finnerty’s was free of cover, had plenty of table, had good prices for drinks, you can hear the sports and as well as have a conversation with your friends or family. This sports bar is an oasis in that area. People in this bar were really into the boxing event and put an excellent mood to the night. I highly recommend this place, I would come back again for another boxing match, baseball game or NFL game.

Yelp
A fellow Giants fan recommended this place for my NY trip and I had a blast! Came here my last night in NY to catch the Giants game on a Tuesday night and it was pretty slow. The bartenders working were really friendly and made great drinks! We shared a side of carrots and ranch and the onion strings which were your typical bar foods. It was great catching the game, and was a wonderful way to end my trip! I loved that they rung a bell whenever the Giants hit a homerun. I will be back my next trip!

Yelp
I remembered their old cozy location, watching the SF Giants play and having beers with other SF natives. Back then, it was difficult to find bars/places that would air Bay Area team games. Fast forward to today and this new bar is just as welcoming and probably the only place in NYC that airs Bay Area sports teams, and beyond. Bartenders were friendly and kept the beers flowing. Their selection of whiskey is limited, but decent. With Bay Area sports paraphernalia on their walls, I totally felt at home watching the Warriors playoff game here along with the Giants playing on other screens. Both teams won that night and the crowd was extremely rowdy. Beats watching the games from my hotel room. They served samples of Buffalo chicken tenders. They didn't have a food menu yet. But if that chicken tender was a sign of what's to come, I'll definitely come back!

Yelp
So happy Finnerty's is back! Been missing a spot to watch Giants, 49ers, and Warriors games in the city. The new spot in midtown is amazing; right off the subway, large comfortable space, and tons of tvs. Menu is small, but the food is solid for what it is. All the bartenders are awesome and incredibly friendly.

Yelp
Great venue with helpful staff, ready to tune the TV of your choice to the Giants game (or whatever game you're interested in. And they have a limited food menu now, with excellent burgers and fries.

Yelp
Solid sports bar. Multiple tvs, solid food, great service. If crowded can get a little slow but no more than most places. Also can get tvs changed quickly which is a huge bonus for NCAAF.

Yelp
Great sports bar, as a SF Giants fan this is the place to be in NYC. Lots of SF & Giants paraphernalia on the walls. They don't have food yet, as the kitchen is still under construction, the only thing they offer right now is potato chips with dip. But they have a full bar with 8-10 beers on tap, another 8-10 in bottle, and a wall of liquors. The next time the Giants play the Yankees or Mets, will definitely come back here to pre-game and/or post-game.

Yelp
Service was horrible the bartender & manager were very rude! We came here to see the warriors game was excited to find a Bay Area bar but with the horrible service by both the manager & bartender definitely do not recommend this place

Yelp
Had an amazing time at Finnerty's. Bay Area sports fans dream bar. Super friendly staff, quick service, and clean bathrooms. They don't have food yet but they allow in any outside food. Thank you to the best bartender, Daniel, for making our visit memorable! Highly recommend this bar!

Yelp
I'd heard about Finnerty's from the SFGiants broadcasts, but it was great to be able to find a home away from home. Good was great. Garlic fries tasted like the old ones from Candlestick. Great Bay Area beer selection. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Gotta give 5 stars out here! Huge shoutout to Brandon for being so accommodating to my wife and I! Came to watch the warriors vs rockets playoff game here and the atmosphere was crazyyyy! We loved it so much. They even gave us some amazing food to sample. We'll definitely be back!
