everything was insanely delectable and my family and i had such a good time here , and the ambiance is also really nice.
— COCCOLI E PROSCIUTTO —
the coccoli e prosciutto was MINDBLOWINGGG the dough was so HOT and steaming and freshly fried — the outside was super crispy, but the interior was soft and fluffy and there was a bit of a doughy flavour and ugh it was perfect. the creamy stracchino cheese melted a little bit from the warm steam, and the prosciutto was salty and had a bit of an alcohol-y taste, and the arugula added the perfect fresh, bitter balance.
— ARANCINI —
the arancini was also sooooo good, the filling was warm, creamy, mushy, and rich, but the breading was so crispy. the fragrant, herby, oily pesto was also really yummy !
— FRITTO MISTO —
i was surprised by how good the fritto misto was, but to be fair i had no idea what to expect going in. it was basically an assortment of fried , tempura-like bites like shrimp, broccoli (YUMMY), onion, and pepper, with a FANTASTIC chili mayo to pair. the breading was perfectly thick and crispy too.
— ROSTICCIANA —
the ribs were insanely tender and it quite literally fell off the bone when i touched it with my fork. it was sticky and had a salty bark-like crust, and the sweet smoky cherry sauce was so unique and had such deep, complex flavours.
— TORTINO AL CIOCCOLATO —
my favourite part was the crunchy dark chocolaty chip/bark things, they weren’t too sweet but had a strong concentrated chocolate flavour. the lava cake was fudgy, the ganache didn’t have a very strong mint flavour unfortunately but it was super rich, and the pistachio ice cream was light with a refreshing creamy sweetness. i really loved all the crunchy creamy nuts and chocolate crumbs sprinkled throughout too.
— OTHER DISHES —
gnocchetti: super creamy, warm, and a bit peppery, and i REALLY loved the mushy, dense texture of the gnocchi. small portion though.
sformato: a bit eggy, with a strong, pungent parmesan and deep, earthy truffle flavour. the salty chips that came with it were a good balance !
polpo e nduja: the pork belly was nice and fatty with a powerful salty roasted flavour, and the octopus was really tender and not too chewy, but the dish wasn’t as special/didn’t stand out as much as the others.
