12 Hardcore Portland-Area Brewpubs | Eater Portland

"Fire on the Mountain is well-known as the foremost wing stop in Portland, and for good reason. It’s getting into its 15th year in operation, and now boasts three locations in the city. Since 2011, it has operated a small, seven-barrel brewing system, brewing up lagers and ales to wash down the sauce-soaked chicken wings. Speaking of sauces, diners have the option of a range of flavors from spicy peanut to lime-cilantro, and of course: buffalo-style, ranging from mild to extra-hot. It also offers a full menu of options beyond wings, including burgers, fries, and salads." - Ron Scott

First time at this location! I have been to their other location numerous times years ago. We went for Portland nacho week and it was pretty dang good! The grilled jalapeños gave it a nice kick. We also ordered a frisbee of tots, so we had leftovers.

Ordered the amazing cheese sauce with garlic knots as well as the chicken strips with tots. The flavor is a great blend of sweet and heat, a ton of flavor. The associate who rang in the order talked through each flavor of sauce options, patient and friendly. Really enjoyed dinner.

Great vibe American style restaurant with reasonable price! I like their buffalo wings but lemon cilantro sauce is a bit sour for me. We came at Saturday noon and it was already crowded with people. Staff are friendly they always greet with smiles.

EDIT to reply to owner: you've replied to multiple negative reviews saying that your policy is to give out extra wings when they're small. I didn't get any extra. It doesn't sound like anyone else in the reviews has either. Maybe your kitchen isn't actually meeting your policy. It doesn't help us that you have a policy. I wouldn't have left a negative review if I got 3 extra wings since they were so tiny. The chicken wings are the smallest I have ever seen at any chicken wing spot. I just can’t condone the price they charge here for the size of wing provided :/ everything else is fine but this is just ridiculous. You could maybe get by serving these for cheaper, but not at premium prices

Peanut sauce, lime cilantro, buffalo hot wings. I enjoy the sauce selection and flavors. This location has some parking and serves some beers and cocktails. They had a variety of table size that could accommodate a large party. Fried pickles were great! They were spear style and came with a smoky sauce on the side.

Delicious food with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend the garlic knots with queso dip. Buffalo wings were delicious, and I appreciated the variety of beer on tap. You have to wait in line to order and then find a table, but the runners that come with your food/drinks can also handle ordering more if you need without having to go wait in line again.

I’m really wanted to like this place but the food just isn’t all that. The tenders were actually terrible. They give you options for the type of sauce you want which I thought would be sauces on the side but no, they drench the tenders on the sauce so much you can’t even taste the chicken. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because the loaded tots were really good. This place is definitely overpriced as the price far exceeds the quality. Interior was decent but not many seating options when it’s busy.
