12 Hardcore Portland-Area Brewpubs | Eater Portland

"Fire on the Mountain is well-known as the foremost wing stop in Portland, and for good reason. It’s getting into its 15th year in operation, and now boasts three locations in the city. Since 2011, it has operated a small, seven-barrel brewing system, brewing up lagers and ales to wash down the sauce-soaked chicken wings. Speaking of sauces, diners have the option of a range of flavors from spicy peanut to lime-cilantro, and of course: buffalo-style, ranging from mild to extra-hot. It also offers a full menu of options beyond wings, including burgers, fries, and salads." - Ron Scott

My mom took me here the other evening (a Tuesday) to little spend time together, she loves wings, and said this place was highly recommended. Expecting it not to be super busy on a Tuesday, we were very wrong. We stood in line and made our order, and then had to stand with our dishes and silverware for about 5 minutes till there was an open spot. Once we got to our spot we were met with the 45 minute wait for wings. Thankfully they brought the tater tots out first, those were delicious! The crowd in this place makes it kinda uncomfortable for a conversation. Once we finally got our wings, I was initially excited as they look great! But was quickly disappointed to find hard, gross, charred bits all over the wings. Dry meat. And oddly chopped wings to where there are tiny pieces of bone on some ends of the wing tips. As well as the inside bones had often broken pieces making it hard to enjoy. For the $65 for 2 people, I will most definitely not be back unfortunately..

Top notch food. The onion rings were very crispy and delicious, The pizza was thin, crispy and flavorful. I ordered the bourbon Chipotle wings and I'm going to warn you, they were super spicy but super delicious.

First time at this location! I have been to their other location numerous times years ago. We went for Portland nacho week and it was pretty dang good! The grilled jalapeños gave it a nice kick. We also ordered a frisbee of tots, so we had leftovers.

Boneless wings were great Service and atmosphere were so great. Staff was helpful, kind and attentive. Pizza was ok. Crust was great initially now here is where I was on the fence.... There was alot of cheese which for many is a plus. But after your first piece by the time you got to the second piece the grease from the cheese had changed the crust consistency. I will try it again and order light cheese to see if that changes things. Otherwise I really think this is a great place for either dine in or carry out .

Your tenders taste amazing and are why I historically kept coming back.Lately though, the portions are smaller and the prices are higher, with some pieces feeling more like half a tender. If the sizes matched the flavor, I’d be recommending you nonstop.

Came here for a friend lunch date and got 2 orders of 6 wings on a frisbee, with Peanut sauce with fries and a cider for me and lemonade for my mom. My friend ordered wings and a chicken Cesar salad ,with lime cilantro sauce and a cider. I love the atmosphere & seating was ample. It was 95* outside, but luckily, there was soft breeze blowing that day. They served their wings on frisbees and our nice waiter brought the doggos a water bowl. Unfortunately, I had lost my appetite and I didn’t eat my food there. Prior to entering the business, I stepped in a pile of someone’s vomit, right in Front of their side door,(didn’t see it , because I was opening the door for my mom) but I finished my cider and took the food to go. (lucky I had Pip’s donuts 🍩 before lunch) Later that evening, I tried some of my fries and a wing and had to pass on the food, because they were all way too salty for me..(sodium sensitive) but my friend says the salad, wings and fries were good to her….
