Firefly Distillery

We have been here for a few events and this was our first concert here. Very, very well done. Excellent set up, lots of space, good food truck selection, a mister to cool off, a free water refill station, plenty of bathrooms (porta potties) and the parking was not an issue for us (we got there early enough to get a spot on site) and parking was free! I would absolutely, 100% go here for a concert again, an excellent place to see live music or for any other event. We do not drink alcohol so I cannot comment on that, but they did offer non alcoholic choices, which is great.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Firefly for a couple of years now. We initially did a tasting which was excellent and really highlighted the difference between Firefly and other brands such as Ole Smokey. I am not a fan of OS since their moonshine can taste very artificial and more like acetone than the flavor itself. Firefly has wonderful Fruit Punch shine that goes excellent with Sprite for a mixer. They also have a beautiful bar and atmosphere. Their gift shop is awesome. Overall, we adore this distillery and make it a point to visit whenever we are in town.

We saw Dropkick Murphys here on 3/9/2025. The show was amazing. However I'm a rock concert veteran. I ride the rails with my walker and my hubby is my own person security. To be asked to move from the rail because I have a mobility aid was uncalled for. By the end of the show you're security was thanking my husband for his help. In the future you might wanna handle your discrimination against your ADA patrons differently. Thanks for the great show but in the future we choose not to support venues that discriminate. Especially when we were less trouble than all the drunks who couldn't stand up straight. The audacity!

Great venue for future events. The paid tasting portions were very, to put it politely, conservative. Nice gift shop.

Finally, and distillery! You had me at mint! I found a new drink I can say I will enjoy. Wish I could have purchased a bottle, but I didn't know the cut-off time. Wish I could have supported direct, but Asheville ABC stores have it. Thanks for a fun music bingo that brought us out.

This review is about the distillery as a concert venue; the distillery was closed for the day so I can't say anything about the actual distillery. The venue is great, tons of open spaces, it was so nice to have the GA area separated into "blankets" and standing. It made for having a great view of the band no matter where you were. Great variety of food trucks and snacks, as well as vendors selling alcohol/sodas/boiled pnuts/water etc. I would make the drive again for future concerts at this location. Easy parking. Tons of seating. Nice flat grassy field.

Trish is awesome and takes care of you during your tastings!!! Will be back. And can't wait for the concerts. Feel like I've found a diamond in the rough. And it's not rough.

Would recommend this for locals and tourists. Great spot for getting together and having a good time. You get to figure out what you like. I started by stopping by the food truck on Spurll Ave. and got lunch before we went to the tasting. The chilli dog was amazing, and my husband cheese burger was delicious. The tasting included 6 different alcohol, including moonshine, vodka, and whiskey. After the tasting, you can have a drink made at the bar while you roam and look at all the products they sell. If you see something you might like, they will let you try it. I definitely recommend the chocolate pecan pie moonshine, and from the bar, the Pixie drink includes strawberry moonshine, lemonade vodka and something else.

Super cute spot! They have lots of merchandise too in various sizes. They offer tastings and many cocktails. They also sell bottles for purchase. Definitely a spot to hit up while in the area.

I appreciate the venue being available for a variety of acts. They have applied the bare minimum to the venue and ambiance though. It's essentially a big lot with little grace. No tents/shade, porta-potties, & buggy. There is such potential to make this a venue with thought. If you go remember your sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, lawn chairs, & blanket. I have never had food here but had a spicy margaritas. It was ok but tasted light and sweet instead of spicy. They have NA options as well. The bar tender was rude when I asked for salt (twice).

This is a nice distillery. They have plenty of outdoor space and inside is large too. They have a store in the front entrance. Also, they have food trucks, and when we came, there was a craft show with vendor tents. In the back area, I ordered the apple strudel drink, which was delicious. It tasted like a liquidfied apple strudel. My 2nd drink was so so. It was the Firefly Old Fashioned. It was wayyyyyy to heavy on the whiskey. It's definitely worth visiting, though.

I've frequented firefly before but never done the liquor tasting! I enjoyed my time learning about liquor of the distillery with great details from my guide ! She was knowledgeable and fun! Some of the liquor I didn't like and she was able to substitute for better flavors . The pina colada slushie was good! Lots of room inside and out! Definitely will be back soon.

Great venue. Space for everyone. It's a place you can feel safe at going to, during and from. Parking is limited. But there are places along the road if you don't get there early enough to park on their free lot. Now the businesses that surround the distillery charge to park. And it's PRICEY! Concert ticket prices... $60 to park is a lot so come early... Get some parking. Grab some grub and settle in for a good time with gii eats and drinks. If you're lucky you'll catch a breeze coming off the creek! Very handicapped friendly to boot!

The Firefly Distillery is an amazing venue!! Seeing outdoor concerts is always amazing! The food trucks had gluten free options. :) Everyone always has a good time! The stage and the background visuals are always amazing! The staff is very accommodating and greets you with a smile. There are many gluten free beverages too. :)

Great open air venue. There were food trucks around the outer edges of the field. The folks checking people at the gate were friendly. The stage had great sound and lighting and super performance by the band. Thank you Firefly for bringing a band I have loved for many years to Charleston and providing the venue.

This is an amazing space!! There is a beautiful outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy drinks. There's a lawn that is also used for events like concerts. My husband and I came for a tasting, but it was full, so we just had a cocktail instead. The park circle punch was delicious. It had fruit punch and coconut moonshine in it. It was perfectly fruity. My husband also liked his drink as well. There is a lot to see here and there's also a really nice gift shop. Everyone we talked to here was so friendly. We got to talking to the women at the gift shop who also happened to be teachers like my husband and I. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out!

Go now and do the tasting! My husband and I have never been to a tasting where we liked EVERYTHING! We got two tastings and therefore tried everything offered. If you buy 6 bottles, you also get a discount. So of course we bought six. Went on a Saturday and the food truck + live music was a big plus. Would have loved to have tried the cocktails as they sounded ah-mazing but we were feeling a bit too buzzed to give them a go.

This place has a lot of cool activities so make sure to check their schedule if you're really wanting a cool experience. We just went to pass time, not knowing about their vast event calendar. Such a cool place. Very clean. All the staff is super friendly. We did a taste tour, which I highly recommend. We ran out've time to stay for drinks but will definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.

This review is specific to the event space. This is quickly becoming one of the best outdoor concert venues in the Tri-county. You will not get a better experience for an outdoor show. 1. Great acoustics. 2. Great live music vibe. 3. Food trucks. 4. Plenty of outdoor restroom options. 5. Free parking. 6. Always a well trained staff prepared for the crowded. 7. Chill environment to lounge out or dance. This is a solid!!!! venue!!!!!

Took a trip to Firefly on a down day in Charleston. Beautiful distillery, nice atmosphere, large merchandise area, Numerous choices to try during tasting. My favorite was Sweet Tea, and Lemonade Vodka. When in the Charleston area, take some time away and visit Firefly you won't be disappointed.

Firefly Distillery is a ball of fun! My coworkers and I did a ladies night several months ago and had the best time sampling vodkas, moonshine, and whiskey. There's a great storefront as well plus plenty of spirits in stock to get some to-go or gift for others. I love the field area as well, during the summer they host concerts and festivals. The tasting is a superb group bonding activity plus there's a bar area too if you want to enjoy a drink in a lowkey atmosphere. We really enjoyed the tasting and we actually got to try 12 different things because you can share. In 6 rounds of tastings there are 2 different choices so my husband and I got one of each and tried both! Great option! Huge gift shop too. The setup is beautiful inside and out!! Everyone was very nice and very helpful too!!

A wonderful tasting at this distillery. All the staff were courteous, our tasting pourer was knowledgeable. Great southern mentality where you get to have the tasting before paying. Lots of merchandise offerings too. My husband, who is not a drinker, actually made it through all 6 tastings and really enjoyed it! Cheers!

Was there on Friday but they had a big concert and were closed but went back on Saturday to see them and loved it all and the tasting. Then a got a full case of liquor from them! was the best thing i did for my birthday because we drove all the way from Pa.

Writing this from an experience way long ago but can't believe I forgot to report back! The spirits tasting was so much fun because it was casual and the bartender was so nice. They made the experience a lot of fun. The spirits were unique and tasty. We even bought some to go. There were a lot of liquors I didn't realize Firefly even made. The space is airy, a little industrial but also modern. There were some other large rooms I imagine would be great for events. I hope to make a return visit next time we're in the area.

Came for live music and family fun. BRiNG BUG SPRAY!!! The gnats were hungry. The gift shop sells it if you forget. The venue was fun, the band delivered. I was DD so can speak on the drinks but the adults said the sweet tea and beers were great

Enjoyed the tasting which includes 6 pours of assorted whiskey, moonshine or vodkas. The tour guide was friendly and the price per tasting $13.00 per person. The interior includes many liquors for sale along with merchandise like honey, jam, soaps, shirts ect. Great place to bring locals or out of town guests.

Attended a Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce networking event. Great drinks & food! Bartenders are always so friendly. It is a relaxed & comfortable vibe. One of my favorite venues in the Park Circle area.

Stopped in here for a flight mid day and was very impressed with the variety and quality of spirits. We tasted the lemonade and sweet tea vodkas, apple pie moonshine and the Bend and Steel whiskey. Service was excellent and we ended up going home with the whiskey and moonshine, although all were delicious. The grounds and facility itself are large, welcoming and there was plenty of parking. The outdoor portion is dog friendly, and there is a large gift shop. The ambience was good and the music wasn't too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Overall I'd recommend checking them out.

Garbage music event venue. Worst management and planning I have ever experienced. They don't understand organizing parking or even forming a line. Don't ever recommend a concert experience here.

Firefly is such a fun place. Lots of different events and the tasting is a good way to try what they offer! Staff is always super friendly too.

Great way to spend an hour or 2! Nice little tourist stop, a place to grab a bite to eat if you're a local. If you've never had firefly sweet tea vodka, it is worth a try and available in most grocery stores on the east coast. Their signature flavor tastes like it sounds: Southern Sweet tea but has a vodka kick. It's low enough proof (30ish?) You can drink on the rocks as if it was a strong cocktail by itself. $13 get you 6 samples out of 12 liquor varieties, plus a clean unused souvenir shot glass to take home. They gave me 10% military discount on the samples, as well as the whole bottles of liquor! The gift shop had interesting stuff including their own rum cake. And has a large outdoor venue and I think they have concerts about every month or so. If you ever in the North Charleston area, it is well worth the stop.

One word, wow. This has to be one of my favorite places! Wasn't sure what to expect as we ventured down the long dirt road, but to our surprise a huge welcoming venue with lots of parking! We did a tasting for $13, was well worth it for a unique tasting that includes a shot glass, 6 shots and lots of humor and history! The cocktail selection is amazing, bartenders super friendly and live music plus a food truck. Corn hole boards, and space outside to chill added to the experience. There was not much seating inside or outside by the food truck, but a bunch of tables in the front outside. The liquors were all amazing and truly unique, it was hard to choose which ones to purchase! Loved the vibe and the store with lots of things for sale. Only complaints were the large birthday or bachelorette parties who were absolutely obnoxious and rude! This place is a MUST try when in Charleston!

Must stop by every time I'm in Charleston. The drinks are always delicious and strong. The vibe is always super chill and fun. A fun stop for a Sunday funday!

What a fun afternoon!! Highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a fun atmosphere and delicious oysters!! Grateful that they had indoor/ outdoor shucking stations. Although I don't believe they were anticipating the amount of people that came out with the weather service needed up being a bit slow on the refills. The drinks were strong and tasty.. the oysters were hot and steamy and the music was on point!! Can't wait to come back and do a whiskey tasting the next time I'm here! - visiting from California :0)

Really cool place! I've loved Firefly since on Wadmalaw Island. Today is our first time visiting the new location. It's lovely. Tasting room, large bar, beautiful outdoor space, and great retail options. Great afternoon with friends! I had the Rum Rita. I didn't care for it. I tried all three other drinks my friends had and all were great. - the OG, Java Colada, and Strawberry Colada, and all were great!! Enjoyed cornhole with our friends

We went and did a tasting/flight of different liquors that they provide. The person giving the tasting was very informative and great energy and it was a great time in all! The liquor itself is good but a little too many sweet tasting options for me but that also added to the fun of being able to try all of them so I appreciate it in that sense because I wouldn't have bought a full bottle of it so this was perfect to be able to taste them. The place was HUGE, the inside and outside have so much space and you could find a place to sit and hang no matter how many people are there. I believe they host concerts outside as well! If you have never been I really reccomend going and doing the tasting!

I really enjoyed firefly! I didn't get to experience everything they had to offer but I'll be back! They offer tours and I'd love to take one. Im not sure if they serve food there but they did have a food truck! I went during an outdoor event so I'm not sure about their daily operations. It's so spacious and beautiful there with a huge field! I see why they hold concerts here! The service is great, I had questions about the tour and the ladies in the store were able to answer all of them! I also ordered the blue bird cocktail while I was there and it is very refreshing and tastes like summer! My only question was about the plastic cups. I think they are cool for a souvenir but do they come with each drink? I'm a little concerned with the idea of all that plastic going in the trash. I was there for an event so I'm not sure if that's their normal cups. Great place, great experience!

I probably should have written this BEFORE the 6 mini shot tasting...because after an array of coconut cake moonshine, lemonade vodka, coffee flavored rum, and bourbon...I am struggling to put my words together. The tasting class is a MUST. I learned a lot about the history of this company and tried flavors I would have never ventured to try if I just saw the bottle on the shelf.

Great Educator event the week before school started. Firefly has great cocktails and awesome tastings. The setup is nice, and they have games on the back patio, including corn hole, and mini putt putt. The bartenders are always nice. The workers in the store area are as well. They usually have a food truck or 2 on the premises. They host various events throughout the year, including concerts.

I've been visiting Firefly for years. Began at the Wadmalaw location and now here at it's new location. I have celebrated many birthdays at both locations and introduced many friends to all they have to offer. I love the people who make all the action happen. Whether you're in the gift shop, your the facilities, or enjoying a tasting, it's the people working there that make your experience rememberable. They treat you like family. They are knowledgeable about their products and you can feel there passion when they are telling the history. Firefly is always hosting an event. I've come for blood drives, concerts, food truck events, and many other happenings. It's never a dull time at Firefly. Why? Because they keep you lit! Literally!

What a great experience! For only $10 you can try 6 different drinks: vodka/rum/whiskey/bourbon. If you're with a partner then you can try 12 different items if you each pick a different one. At the end you get a souvenir shot glass. We ended up with a little buzz so we bought some snacks and sat out on the porch and watched the rain. There's plenty of green space for dogs and corn hole, etc. The staff was friendly and there's lots of cool merchandise in the gift shop. We ended up buying a bottle of the lemonade vodka which was so sour yet so delicious. This vodka tasting and the Charleston Tea Farm tour were the top two experiences of my visit and I will definitely return next time I'm in town.

My first time visiting definitely not my first time trying. The sweet tea has always been a fave but I think Java will take its place. Great place to start the date with bae or a girls day out. The samples were all good except the Gin (to me) I'm not really a drinker though. Go have a tasting let me know what flavors you like.

This past Sunday was the best oyster roast I've ever been to! Forget ever going to Boones Hill Plantation again. For $25 you get admission and all you can eat oysters. The DJ was amazing and the drink line had barely a wait. Please do this event again.

I visited the distillery for a festival event. Wow. It was a great event! They had so much outdoor space, and the stage was a great perk for music. The indoor decor was great, and I was able to see tours going on. I wish I could have taken one, but it was very busy. I had the lemonade sweet tea vodka with seltzer and lavender syrup. I forget the name of the drink. I liked it so much. I purchased a few bottles for the holidays. Sweat tea and lemonade vodka. I want to go back to try the other different flavors. If they have a festival or event, I do recommend you attend. I had so much fun!

Had a good time at FD for a tasting! I'm visiting from out of town and booked the deluxe group tasting for my friend and I. It was a cloudy/gloomy day but I could tell the grounds were well kept and looks beautiful on a nice day. Parking is provided and there's indoor and outdoor seating available. The inside was clean, organized and spacious in the tasting area and the bar. We were a few minutes late due to traffic but we were able to join in on the tasting and catch up with no issues. The tasting came with 6 samples and included rum, whiskey and bourbon options. Lori was a great host, she provided the history of the distillery and went into detail for each sample we were trying. After the tasting, we were able to go to the bar area and receive a free cocktail that was included in our package. I went with the Country Sour and really enjoyed it. We received some other goodies as well since we did the deluxe tour, I recommend checking it out with friends for a good time!

The place that brought the world distilled tea, has a lot more to offer as well. The fruit punch moonshine is honestly just high proof Hawaiian Punch. Delicious! The Java rum? Awesome! The pecan pie moonshine? Outta this world. This is a really cool spot with a huge gift shop and food trucks on the reg (I had Chucktown Meatball Co. on this visit...and it was terrific)! Really cool tasting experience to boot!

Fantastic place! Tons of space inside and out. You MUST do the tasting,both entertaining and delicious for $13 per person, totally worth it! Vodka lemonade and sweet tea vodka were the ones we brought home with us, but all were amazing! Will be back soon to restock! Bartenders and tasting guides were amazing, knowledgeable, and full of personality

Ironically have been to Firefly twice now, and have never been inside I came first for a DMB cover band in the summer & secondly for the Shrimp and Grits 5K (finished here). It's such an awesome space for events. This time we did try some of the spirits for our post race drink & they were yummy! I am not a liquor person and I enjoyed my cocktail. In you're coming for an event, there's plenty of parking but allow time (as always).

I had an amazing time at this distillery. They make so many different kinds of spirits and also have unique flavours. Such as a pecan pie liqueur. We happened to arrive right when a tasting was beginning which we were allowed to join in on. The staff presenting was very informative on each of the spirits tasted. I asked about a few others on offer and I was able to taste a couple more afterwards at the bar. They offer multiple cocktails using the unique spirits on offer. If you're looking to grab a bottle of something it's going to set you back $20 unless you're after an aged whiskey. I only wish the distillery was open later than 6pm! I definitely would be there later if it were.

Worst place I have ever gone to see band/concert. Went here for Jimmy Buffet tribute band. Two lines to get drinks inside the building that stretched outside & zig zagged like a airport. Thewere both well over a hour long. The drinks were all pre made, watered down with little alcohol. Bathroom lines were even worse. Two small food trucks were the only food & you had a choice of about 4 things between the two. Whoever the event organizers is here should be fired. You have the space. Set up some outside stations to sell beer & or wine at least. Also get some food vendors. People we're leaving faster than they arrived. Oh one last rant. They would not let Uber or lift to pull into the place so you need to walk all the way to the main road to get picked up. Something you don't know until your driver gets there & calls you

Such a cute business! And great drinks! Went to a concert there; And it was ran by live nation, some of the rudest people work for them! Go taste some great liquor!

So this is the first time we visited Firefly at their new huge location in Charleston. This place is incredible with tours, tasting and concerts. The staff is great and they have so much spacenow that do concerts, food trucks, merchandise, and the tasting was the best plenty of products like Moonshine in different flavors.

Damn! You know it's a party when sweet tea is involved. Google leaded me to the Firefly Distillery and boy am I happy. We were greeted with some bling to celebrate our 21st Anniversary which lead to a 6 sample tasting hosted by Laura. Everything was good so make sure you come ready to spend. Good fix for all from dessert vodka to white lighting moonshine. We definitely had a great time
