The Best Restaurants in and Around Yellowstone National Park | Eater

"To find some of the best smoked meats near Yellowstone National Park, just follow the aroma of brisket and buffalo sausage. This popular go-to in charming West Yellowstone, Montana, is the kind of place that slings meat until they sell out for the day, which happens often. Show up early to sample the goods: smoked brisket platters with marshmallow-soft white bread, pickles, and onions; pulled pork sandwiches; plump pork ribs; white cheddar mac and cheese; and snappy buffalo sausage links, ideally with a side of creamy chilled corn salad. With picnic tables inside and out, the homey counter-service joint has a farmhouse feel that matches the meaty menu perfectly." - Matt Kirouac

If you go to Yellowstone National Park, a very good option is to enter through the west gate which is in the city of West Yellowstone, because in this friendly city there is this restaurant called FireHole Bar-B-Que Company that you can not miss. The ribs are the best I have ever tried in my life, the place is very nice and the people who serve you too. The place is clean, cheerful and familiar. I was served by its young owner and her best friend, two beautiful girls! And all the other people who serve are friendly! You can not miss this wonderful place! I loved this place! 100% recommended !!!!

Here on vacation we heard about this barbecue spot. It was amazing. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. You know when there’s a line in front of a restaurant it’s good small dining room and outside seating. I had a brisket sandwich and My Husband had the pulled pork sandwich. We also tried the mac & cheese. I would say get there early because once their stuff is sold out, they take it off the menu. We went back a few days later. And I ordered brisket on a baked potato!! Best I have ever had.

Stopped by for dinner. Did not disappoint! A little busy around 1800 hours, but staffed moved customers right along. Fair prices brisket sandwich $13 and sides if wanted.. mac and cheese and coleslaw $3.50 each. Great flavor. Remember smaller place for inside seating, so may have to share one of the bigger tables with other customers. Great customer service and very clean. 07/22/2025 Back for more great food for dinner. This place has such good food that you can't go wrong. Highly recommended! You won't find another bbq shop of this caliber! Well done everyone!

Had dinner and the place was very busy. However, the line moved fast. Had brisket, buffalo sausage, brisket sandwich, beans, mac and cheese. The sides and sausage were good. However the brisket was cut too thick and rather dry. The sauce was very good.

The best BBQ I’ve ever had. So, so juicy and tender. The perfect way to end a day in Yellowstone The service was great too; each and every person along the server line chatted with us (and others in the queue)

We stopped in for lunch while visiting Yellowstone and it did not disappoint. Everyone in my family loved what they got. Brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, mac & cheese, corn salad, and the buffalo sausage with cheese & jalapeno...it was all delicious. We had basically no line, but it was out the door by the time we got our food and sat down. It was back down to just a few people by the time we left, though. So, it's popular (for good reason) but the line moves quickly. Friendly staff, too. Thanks for great food and a great experience!

Ribs are mid, brisket is dry even we asked for moist, loaded potato is just ridiculous, it has some cheese and sauce on it, not worth the hype
