The Best Restaurants in and Around Yellowstone National Park | Eater

"To find some of the best smoked meats near Yellowstone National Park, just follow the aroma of brisket and buffalo sausage. This popular go-to in charming West Yellowstone, Montana, is the kind of place that slings meat until they sell out for the day, which happens often. Show up early to sample the goods: smoked brisket platters with marshmallow-soft white bread, pickles, and onions; pulled pork sandwiches; plump pork ribs; white cheddar mac and cheese; and snappy buffalo sausage links, ideally with a side of creamy chilled corn salad. With picnic tables inside and out, the homey counter-service joint has a farmhouse feel that matches the meaty menu perfectly." - Matt Kirouac

Got the brisket, pork ribs and Mac and cheese. My partner thought the ribs were nicely flavoured and somewhat juicy. I also thought the brisket was well flavoured, but it was quite dry around the edges and end pieces. The mac and cheese was quite liquidy which made it hard to eat a lot of it as it was too heavy. We sat outdoors as the inside was not the most welcoming vibes. Cold and plain. For the price, we thought it could have been better. It was quite pricey.

Fantastic BBQ! We had spare ribs with mac & cheese and coleslaw — everything was delicious and top quality. The concept of the restaurant is simple but effective without compromising the great quality. The menus are clear, and the food is freshly prepared and handed out quickly. Brilliant! If you’re near West Yellowstone, it’s a must-stop and highly recommended!

Being from the South, I've had BBQ in every southern state and never knew the best brisket I'd ever taste was this far away. Ribs were great, too. Enjoyed the mac-n-cheese and corn sides. The food is absolutely on point!

We were super hungry and just searching for restaurants around, then we found this. After reading a ton of good reviews we ordered the beef brisket. It was bland. The beans were bland too. Everything felt tasteless. It was really disappointing and overpriced food.

With Guy Fieri's support, I had to try their BBQ. I always judge off of Brisket - you want it smokey, flavorful, tender, juicy. Honestly 9/10 places fail to have good brisket and can cover up bad BBQ with seasoning/spices. Anyhow, here seems to be the real deal! Very tender brisket, juicy, fat that is rendered like butter, and not hiding behind anything. The loaded spud is great as well!

My review is biased since I am from the Memphis area. The experience is great. Staff are friendly, everything is put together right in front of you. They even weigh out the portions. I would say their BBQ is great, but Memphis great. I think I could safely say that you will not be served dry bbq here. The brisket was tender and juicy. Their sauces are good. Open until “sold out”, 4.7 rating with over 2500 reviews.

If you go to Yellowstone National Park, a very good option is to enter through the west gate which is in the city of West Yellowstone, because in this friendly city there is this restaurant called FireHole Bar-B-Que Company that you can not miss. The ribs are the best I have ever tried in my life, the place is very nice and the people who serve you too. The place is clean, cheerful and familiar. I was served by its young owner and her best friend, two beautiful girls! And all the other people who serve are friendly! You can not miss this wonderful place! I loved this place! 100% recommended !!!!

Here on vacation we heard about this barbecue spot. It was amazing. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. You know when there’s a line in front of a restaurant it’s good small dining room and outside seating. I had a brisket sandwich and My Husband had the pulled pork sandwich. We also tried the mac & cheese. I would say get there early because once their stuff is sold out, they take it off the menu. We went back a few days later. And I ordered brisket on a baked potato!! Best I have ever had.
