Google
Completely forgot that firehouse did brunch was very shocked and surprised by the quality of the food. They also offer bottomless mimosas for $20 a person. I do have to mention the service was top-notch as I sat next to another table. It seemed they were having issues with their food and management and staff quickly responded to try and help or resolve the issue or understand to become better. Very happy with my service and overall food experience. We will be back.

If you’re ever in PB, this is a great place to come visit. It’s a vibe. They have an awesome rooftop, great drinks, and tasty food. They do music and host events on the weekends which. Is always fun. Has a younger crowd, but always a good time.

Google
The worst place by far. The security guards don't know how to do their job at all. They're arrogant and overbearing. The way they treat customers is disgusting. Disrespectful people like them shouldn't be in that kind of job. Unprofessional and incredibly disorganized. I wish there were 0 stars to rate. If the owners had this... the Sunday night guards were the worst of their staff... totally inept.

Google
This was such a cool spot to come to for sunset drinks. Although they don't have a beach view from their rooftop like many of the other bars right nearby, the vibes were still great! They have super cool plant walls and plants hanging from the ceiling and a virtual DJ playing upbeat, fun music. The waiters were all super nice and the tables were extremely comfortable. We got a couch table that was on the lifted area. It felt like we were at a club or something (but in a socially distanced not cluby way lol). The food was pretty good and fairly priced. The chicken sandwich, sliders, calamari, and grilled cheese with tomato soup were all great! I didn't like the fish and shrimp tacos. We took a few bites then left them cause they didn't feel fresh and the flavors were really bland. The drinks were very reasonably priced. They didn't look to showy, but they tasted nice. The Mule was amazing! Will definitely be back for drinks and snacks. I would recommend getting dinner somewhere else that is more known for food. Make sure to book a reservation if you want to avoid long waits!

Google
Wonderful location Beautiful restaurant with incredible ambiance Live music on a Wednesday evening- say what?— acoustic guitar player was quite good and we enjoyed the wide range of music he played. The food is presented beautifully and everything was really good. My friend prefers calamari that has lighter coating/frying but the rest of the people eating the calamari LOVED it. I had the guacamole and chips and a bite of others and I loved the guacamole. A friend had some mini burgers I will likely try next time and she obviously enjoyed.. This was a smooth, easy and super fun experience and followed by some time starring at that beautiful beach that is right out their door..— you just can’t go wrong here.

Google
The food is usually very consistent and good here. Some improvements that can be made this with staff having sidebar conversations and seemingly hanging out instead of attending to patrons. Recently visited the countertops were not cleaning at the bar and multiple hairs found. These things are all correctable and I would definitely return again for another try The food is pretty good.

Google
We enjoyed our dinner here. My wife though the chicken Parmesan was fantastic. The chicken portion was very generous. It was served with some very good toast - not garlic - perhaps buttered sourdough? I had the grilled fish tacos. Pretty good deal at $3 each on Tuesday nights. Nothing special, but they did the job. The hostess and servers were friendly and efficient. The downstairs dining room was empty, but plenty of folks were enjoying the open air upstairs area. They have a nice little bar up there too.

Google
Great food a little expensive. Service was quick and very friendly. Getting a table at the rooftop and seeing the sunset was very beautiful. However, for this place, I enjoy it more when there’s music events later at night. Especially the music is 4 lovers events.

Yelp
A long walk on the beach and then..... hungry hits. We saw the Firehouse and went in. We were greeters with a huge smile amd were seated immediately. We order the Philly a cheesesteak and the Mediterranean Wrap both of which a ten out of ten. The drinks were good and the service was as good as you could want it to be. The atmos upstairs was way loud and a huge party type thing but downstairs was better and more sedate. And. You. Any beat the ocean view while dining. It was so good my dining partner had a party All be himself. Yep. True. Go. Enjoy and have your own epicurean party.

Yelp
We came here first dinner and absolutely loved it and came back for breakfast. I loved the Açaí bowl, ice cream like consistency and perfectly sweet. Hit the spot. The mimosa flight was also a nice treat- pineapple, raspberry, orange, and watermelon. My other half got the chicken and waffles and he loved it. It had a gravy on top that is so good. Atmosphere - the roof top vibe was nice with a dj playing music. Wasn't over powering. Service was fast and prompt. Overall, 10 out of 10. Highly recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
Dinner was delicous. Cocktails were strong and a decent price. My rolled chicken tacos $14 were flavorful and big. It came with a side of tortilla soup. For dessert, we had a pizookie type of dessert that was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Been in pacific beach 2 days so far and gone here 2x so far. Incredible vibe. Gorgeous staff. Great DJS. The music's loudness was perfect as opposed to THE LOCAL something in PB, but that's for another review. Last night we had Buffalo cauliflower and 2 drinks. It was very tasty and like my review for WATERBAR, we have to be concerned about MSG due to my wife's allergy. This bartender knew what MSG was unlike WATERBARS bartender. She said no MSG in the blue cheese dressing, so good to go. Good drink, good appetizers, great views and vibe.

Yelp
What an amazing experience it started with Paris' customer service! She is the best such a great employee!! Excellent rooftop view was nice. We enjoyed our Saturday Brunch was amazing!! Paris is the employee any establishment needs to have. Firehouse has great vibes we had French toast, breakfast burrito was perfect. Will come again and again every day is perfect at the firehouse. Great job with the living wall succulents, and just the view of the ocean from where you sit is the best in San Diego
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out since they were dog friendly. We were able to sit upstairs on the rooftop with our dog. We ordered Mac N Cheese, Chips & Guacamole, Mussels and an Açaí Bowl for brunch. The restaurant had a great vibe and the server was super friendly. Great spot close to the beach/water. Great location in Pacific Beach!
google avatar

Isabelle W.

Yelp
Firehouse is a classic PB spot for food, drinks and going out! They have a rooftop area which has great views for sunset! We went for happy hour and got some great deals on appetizers and drinks. The calamari was sooo good. The vibe is definitely more of a party though, so if you are looking for something more chill/quiet this is probably not the right spot. But it is a great place if you are looking for music and views!
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
I came here on a late Sunday afternoon and was seated immediately. The downstairs was offering food service and the rooftop was super lively with a dj and bar. Our server was attentive and friendly. She made great recommendations and checked in often. We ordered the Firehouse tacos with shrimp and chipotle sauce & the Avocado BLT. We were super impressed with the portion sizes and how great everything tasted! I highly recommend these two dishes and we had plenty of leftovers. The cocktails were on the sweeter side but the presentation of the drinks were spot on. I will definitely be back to try their brunch!
google avatar

Ken R.

Yelp
Great staff but I would not come here for the food. The chicken strip were hard and flavorless, dipping sauces were 1,000 Island and weird bbq. Burgers are small and they give you like 14 French fries. The staff are courteous and friendly which saved the day.

Rachel E.

Yelp
Had a family special event on their roof top. Food was good and staff was attentive. Cool setting.
google avatar

Marie L.

Yelp
I have been a long time firehouse fan, but I enjoyed brunch for the first time this weekend. The upstairs deck was perfect for brunch, and we reserved a big table for my friend's birthday. The staff was friendly, fast, and hilarious as well! I was most surprised by how good the food was - I got the BLTA and every bite was layered with flavor. The crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato confit, and toasted sourdough with truffle aioli went so well together. The duck fat fries were also delish. There was a great deal on mimosas - only $18 for a bottle with a selection of juices. Drinks were flowing and the food was delightful. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Came here for an event with a friend and we just got a few apps to share. We loved the vibes and the food was great too!
google avatar

Bev M.

Yelp
The food is yummy for a fair price point. Service is great! The drinks are good but the live DJ sets are the best! They are on a covered rooftop with heaters. A fun vibe.
google avatar

Ziv A.

Yelp
This is not the first time I am here with friends. The food is great and also the service. In addition to all this good - there is also nice techno music in the background with a DJ.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
It was one of the least crowded restaurant/bar. No line, we got seated right away. It's a fun place with a DJ and nice rooftop seating. The food was decent. I had the crab cakes, the mango salsa has a good kick to it. The chicken tenders were ok. Agua Fresca was OK too. Nothing was to rave about. But it's a good location not far from the beach with no line up.
google avatar

Pinay M.

Yelp
I hate this place! I'll never forget I got robbed at this place and lost over $1k cash which gives me trauma ever since and everytime I go out I always get paranoid someone would rob me again. Security is unreliable and unsafe. They won't release cctv footage of the night it happened and won't cooperate and help you at all in whatsoever way in recovering your stolen items or checking your safety. Food is decent, location is always packed, it's hard to breath and you literally hit each other elbow to elbow. Lines is always long and nothing special. I never came back ever since and never will I again either. This place only reminds me of bad memories and bad service.

Yelp
If you have not tried the Firehouse restaurant, in Pacific Beach you're missing out. It's built on top of an actual firehouse that is right next-door The food is incredible and always cooked to perfection. We had another family lunch and it was amazing! James set us up with such a beautiful table, the manager on duty... and Selena, Spence and Avery were amazing at attending to our every need. The food was delicious. The firehouse burger, the calamari, the shrimp tacos, the grilled cheese, and tomato soup were all cooked to perfection and delicious. Sitting on the roof deck looking out at the ocean. It's the perfect spot for any gathering. We go here often and every single time the food is incredible. The staff is so friendly, we love it. You've got to try it. I think they have the best crispy salty french fries in San Diego. They even brought my nephew out a little special cookie at the end of the meal. We will continue to go here and spread the word. It's such a fun eatery with great food every time.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and drinks. Got the Buffalo chicken Caesar wrap and thought it was delicious. They had a DJ on the roof during brunch on Saturday. It was fantastic sun when we first arrived, but they put the shade cover up too soon and we lost the benefit of the rooftop vibes. Service was okay, but wasn't over the top great. Unfortunately, the business charges a 5% surcharge to "cover the cost of rising prices". Be aware that everything you order will have a 5% charge on top, and that does not go towards tip. Because of this hidden charge, I won't be returning.

Yelp
I decided to include Firehouse as part of our girls day out in PB. We came in for a late lunch. Although downstairs has a cool beach boho vibe, upstairs is where it's at! The bouncers greeted us at the door (at 4 pm) and made sure we had a great spot. It's a rooftop deck with a view of the ocean (almost on the boardwalk). There was a DJ playing house music while we ate. The atmosphere was fun and light. We ordered a bacon burger and split it 3 ways. I was so surprised that it was actually as good as it was! I felt like I was in a cool club but the food reminded me there was more to this place. A thing to note: don't get there too late to eat upstairs. The tables are removed by 10 and the place becomes a club. Dave Matthew's popped in the week before and jumped on the DJ booth. Crowd is on the younger side (20s) but all ages pop in to check this spot out. You should too!

Brooke L.

Yelp
Steven was so accommodating, we arrived and he made sure we had an amazing time here. Food and drinks were great! But Steven gave great service and was so amazing.

Nicole H.

Yelp
STEVEN is the best we love himmmmmmm I love him he was the best. We will be back. He is the most amazing person. I love him.

Yelp
Stopped in on a rainy Monday to grab a drink and kill time. It was my first visit here and the space was really cute. It was very cozy with a fire going and nice wooden features with big windows. It's a nice little spot right on the beach. We each got a cocktail that were all made really beautifully and got a salad to split. The upstairs was unfortunately closed due to weather but I would love to go back to check it out.
google avatar

Sierra R.

Yelp
We were in town for the day and wanted to check out a spot on the beach. Unfortunately, the entire upstairs was closed due to a private event so we didn't get the rooftop view we wanted so instead we ended up sitting on a couch and some big, comfy chairs at the edge of the restaurant. The interior is cozy and relaxing but also fun. We didn't explore a ton, just grabbed food and headed out, but I did notice a photo setup where you could take pictures during your time there. The menu has quite a few options but certain foods are strictly available either only before or after 3 pm. Service was quick and the food was good, no complaints.

Rachel E.

Yelp
I went to Firehouse for dinner during sunset last night and had an incredible time. The food and drinks were great, the ambiance on the rooftop was amazing, and service was even better. Sydney was helping us and gave us great recommendations, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our orders. We will definitely be be back again!
google avatar

Krista S.

Yelp
Great service and good and a live dj we came twice in one day. Yes it's that fab!! Burger - Mediterranean pita and vodka lemonades. All sooo good and fresh! We came back later to watch the football game and they made us awesome nachos even though they weren't on the menu.
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
The food was great. The place is right on the place beach and 8-minute drive from Belmont Park. Open roof at top level. Has a nice, warm, peaceful vibe. I don't know the full details of restaurants, but there was one guy basically doing everything. Which end up making things little on the slow side. The night I came here was on a Monday night, only maybe 5 other tables other than mine. To me, it seems to slow side. But i would come back.

Ed A.

Yelp
Awesome establishment! Great vibes and exceptional service from Steven. He was on his game. Anytime we needed anything there wasn't a long wait and he kept checking in without being over the top.

Nessa G.

Yelp
Dropped by Firehouse today to grab a couple drinks and apps with friends! Had a great time + the service is amazing!!! Joesph was our server and he was so wonderful and super funny too. great customer service + nothing beats the lovely views of PB!!! 10/10 recommend
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. We traveled across the country for our 20th anniversary. They delivered in service as well as food quality and taste. We were in San Diego for 5 nights. We ate three dinners at the Firehouse because it was exceptional. Stop by. You won't be disappointed. (GET THE DUCK FAT FRIES!!)
google avatar

Agasi G.

Yelp
Very big problems with this place and it's definitely coming from the top down. The manager here is either extremely under paid, or under qualified. Hires racists and thugs who put their hands on their customers and the proceeds to kick out them out for having a complaint about it. I'm sure the food is great but we didn't get to try it. Went to Alehouse across the street where we were greeted by warm smiles and DELICIOUS food. Kevin took amazing care of us. Definitely try the fish and chips over there along with the fish tacos. Some of the best I've ever had.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
If you're not white don't bother going, it feels redundant to even write this as I had already heard about this from others yet here we are in 2024 having to still deal with this bs. Whatever, will simply not be back and if y'all POC I suggest y'all don't waste your time. Do better hostesses

Thomas G.

Yelp
Was walking along the sand in Pacific Beach and saw Firehouse. Me and the wife decided to stop in for some drinks and a few plates to share. As far as the classic daytime bar experience, it doesn't get any better. That was definitely emphasized by the exceptional service by our waiter, Joseph. He was friendly, funny, and fast! The 3 F's you want out of a perfect server.
google avatar

Rod S.

Yelp
Great location in PB - good choices of beers - and good sandwiches - my wife had the buffalo wrap - I had the grilled BLT - the BLT had crunchy grilled bread & grilled tomatoes - a tasty combination. Try the tomato soup - thick, creamy & herbal
google avatar

Darienne B.

Yelp
Food is ALWAYS so good. I usually get the Mediterranean pita wrap hut this time i got the buffalo wrap (just to try out something new and it was also SO good. Good portion sizes and the drinks, one drink can get ya feeling good. A little expensive but definitely worth it. I highly recommend the pita wrap. The ambiance is cute af. Right in the middle of PB so can hit the other bars after. Also right next to the fire station where all of the hot firefighters sit and hang out. Service was quick and speedy. Waiter was nice. 10/10. Always love to come here.
google avatar

Matthew G.

Yelp
I wanted to give this place 4 stars, but I just can't do it, because I've never been served essentially raw potatoes at a restaurant before and, considering that raw potatoes are inedible (as in, they can actually make you sick), it's kind of a problem. Other than that, the meal was ok. We came here because we had a gift card. We ordered two cocktails, salt and pepper shrimp appetizer, and the filet mignon. The good: the rooftop atmosphere wasn't bad; the salt and pepper shrimp were decent; the house margarita was pretty good; and the filet mignon seemed to be pretty fresh and high quality. The bad: the other cocktail we got (poquito picante) was not very good, probably due to low quality alcohol; the filet mignon was undercooked (ordered medium rare and came basically rare); and, like I said, the potatoes (which seemed to be the frozen, cubed hash brown variety) were undercooked, almost raw. I sent them back to cool more, and after about 15 minutes, they brought them back out... they were hotter, but still undercooked (not sure if they had only been places under a heat lamp or what.) So, I guess you can say this place is hit-or-miss.
google avatar

Marissa A.

Yelp
The staff here was amazing super nice and helpful. I wasn't really into the crowd. A lot of people that were disrespectful and throwing/braking glasses. The staff really made up for it!!!! Might of been the time of night!! Rockstar staff and hella cool views. Thank you staff for being great!!!!! Wish I got all your names. I feel super bad for the security. I don't know how you do it! All the love , peace and respect to ya ALL!!! I couldn't handle a job like yours !!!!
google avatar

Bianca M.

Yelp
Service was okay! The drinks were fine. Fries were delicious and the music starts at 9 - usually house. great vibe, would def go again :)

Yelp
Me and my friends were looking for a fun, boppin bar in PB to help us get our spring break started and this place was definitely it. If you're a young 20 something looking for a fun night Firehouse is the place for you. There was a bit of a line on a Thursday night but they got us in fast and there are cute neon signs for photo ops while you wait to get those outfit pics before you start drinking and forget to do so. When you get inside, there is lounge seating and a few different places to get drinks so that you don't have to wait for a drink. We drank vodka pineapples all night for about $10 each. Upstairs is the place to go for more of a dancing vibe. You can still get a drink upstairs too but the open air rooftop keeps you cool even when the place is packed. The music was great with a live DJ playing all your fav party hits. For the ladies, if you need anything to touch up your hair or makeup this bathroom has it! It was so nice getting to spray some perfume before hitting up our next spot. The bathroom is loaded with everything from dry shampoo to makeup wipes.
google avatar

Yelp
Got kicked out for "matching description". Waited an hour in line to get in, just to be kicked out 3 minutes into dancing with my gf. Fully sober, I got accused for "dancing on the table". After the bouncer told me to "come outside bro, we're not kicking you out", I got no explanation about what exactly happened. Later, another bouncer told that I got kicked out for "dancing on a table". "White shirt, black pants, black shades- you looked like him"- told me the "main" bouncer. Lmao, that's half of the club. After 25-30 mins of waiting outside, I was let back in. It was already 1:20am, so I politely told the bouncer who "matched the description" to fuck off and left the place. Worst experience. Save some time, go to PB local or stay away from PB and go to North Park or Gaslamp. Awful customer service. No "sorry", nothing to accommodate the inconvenience. Just a nice f*ck you and bye bye after.
google avatar

Yelp
Walked in and before I even ordered anything she was giving dirty looks. Ordered shots and dropped her a $5. Few minutes later we ordered 2 mixed drinks off the menu, I paid with card and hit the "no tip" option and before I was even able to pull out cash from my pocket she says "how are you going to order all these complicated ass drinks and not even leave a tip?" So like a gentleman I stuck the wad of hundreds back in my pocket and matched her energy. Then she proceeds to tell one of the other bar tenders "that guy with the hat is cut off" when it was my first 2 drinks of the night lol. Left there and went to moonshine beach and had a much better time with much better bartenders who were very friendly and deserved the big baller tip I left. Selena? I believe her name is at firehouse must have had a crush on me or something. I really wish she was nicer to my group as I was feeling generous

Yelp
Steven gave us great service. Will definitely be coming back for repeat business. Thank you!

Yelp
I'm so glad I decided to switch our reservation here for our annual girls day to San Diego. I loved the ambiance. They basically play instrumental house music via a DJ. The food is delicious the buffalo lettuce wraps were super yummy. The fat Mac & cheese was so flavorful. The temperature on all of the food was hot like I like. The champagne bottles were very reasonable. Now, let's get to the service. Our waiter was Steven. The coolest waiter everrrrr!!! Ooh what a vibe he was. Superb service. Thank you, Steven for making our dining experience pleasant. Lastly, it was 6 of us. We all had drinks, 3 appetizers, our own entrees and share a dessert. The bill was $300 something. Not bad at all. I'd definitely recommend. Signed, The lady with the yellow & blue dress
google avatar

Bianca S.

Yelp
I had the the "effin pasta" it's probably the best pasta I've ever had. The waitstaff seriously lacks but the food makes up for it. The prawns in the pasta were perfectly cooked and extremely fresh. Rooftop dining is cute. Wish we had one here in Sacramento cause that pasta is amazing.

Chloe K.

Yelp
Went here for NYE, waited in a short line to get inside and then had to wait in another line to get another stamp to go upstairs to the dance floor. It was close to midnight so we ended up paying $20 to go upstairs after which was lively and worth $20. However, they didn't even pause the music or do a countdown to midnight and then did LAST CALL at 12:01am and had kicked everyone out by 12:10! Why even bother staying open on NYE if you're gonna close right after midnight?
google avatar

Lynette J.

Yelp
Let's just say the food was amaaaaaazing!! Went with my daughter today during our Staycation in San Diego. It wasn't crowded like the other places, so we were kind of iffy. Let's just say it was the best food decision we could make. We had the mussels, calamari, and pasta. Everyone and I do mean everything was delicious, kudos to the chef!! The waiter was really attentive. I would definitely go back!
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Probably should have known not to eat dinner where I go out but was pretty disappointed by my food and drinks here. I got the strawberry salad and turkey club - the salad was standard and not bad, but the turkey meat on the sandwich definitely tasted like it came out of a bag and was a bit rubbery. Drinks were both super sugary as well - I would stick beer or a standard drink here. Definitely wouldn't come to eat here again but pretty fun place to go at night on the rooftop if you can get in before the lines get crazy!
google avatar

Sara P.

Yelp
This place has amazing nachos! My husband wanted to get out night and go somewhere we could dance and we stumbled onto this place. Thankfully we got here before the kitchen closed(I think 10pm). We didn't see the nachos on the menu we were given, but saw someone nearby eating them so we asked if we could order them and they said yes :) the carne asada was such great meat quality with lots of cheese, tomatoes, some sour cream and guac on the side. I would come back for the food alone. I also ordered an aqua Fresca and thought it was good but not great, definitely strong :) We ended up staying until it turned into a dance club. How, we waited such a long time to get upstairs since we didn't pay a cover. When we finally made it upstairs it was so hot and there was barely standing room. You're definitely getting bumped into by lots of other people. Making our way to the bar was a nightmare, I felt so claustrophobic and couldn't wait to leave.
google avatar

Lynnelle E.

Yelp
Everyone's reviews are so negative. Decided to try because it was literally right across from the place we were staying at. Hostesses and bouncer was super nice and friendly. Everything we had was on point. 1. Firehouse burger - Fire, burger was perfectly cooked medium. Super juicy, cheesy, and the bacon was thick cut bacon. Perfect to the last bite. To be honest we killed that and didn't really eat the duck fat fries that were highly recommended. 2. Bacon fat mac and cheese- Cheesy goodness with big chunks of bacon 3. Salt and pepper shrimp- I would recommend more than calamari. Nice and crunchy, has a slight kick especially with the jalapenos. 4. Firehouse corndogs - just corndogs, nothing too amazing. It was kind of soggy as well

Yelp
First off, I have been here several times and this review is only related to my most recent experience. My myself, my girlfriend, and two other friends came to PB for brunch. I was wearing khaki shorts, a polo, and flip flops. Fairly common attire for being 5 steps off the boardwalk. We walked up and were getting ready to be seated. The security guard checking ID's(maskless I might add) let everyone in with no problem including my girlfriend who was also wearing sandals. When it was my turn he goes yeah you can't come in looking like that, goes into a storage closet and pulls out a sign in the second picture stating no sandals. Mind you there are several people already Inside wearing flip flops and swimsuit. My friend offers to trade shoes with me and the guard goes you I'm not letting him in regardless of what he's wearing. Even the host said it's fine and this security guard stood his ground. Too bad because firehouse use to be one of my favorite places to go in PB.

Yelp
The bouncers here are incredibly rude and disrespectful. I celebrated a friends birthday last night here, and while I was leaving the bouncers made negative mean comments about my purse, making us feel very unwelcome. That's certainly not the way to appreciate someone for spending money at your establishment or make them want to come back. I've never been so disrespected at a bar in my life by their own staff and I won't be coming back nor telling anyone who asks to go there! There's so many fun places in pacific beach that actually respect their customers. Save your money and go elsewhere. They are jerks.
