Arts District’s Firehouse Hotel to Close and Rebrand After Nine Months | Eater LA
"Set to go dark this month after just nine months in business, the Arts District boutique hotel and restaurant run by acclaimed former NoMad and Eleven Madison Park chef Ashley Abodeely will have its final night of service on Saturday, January 18, while the hotel remains open through January 28. Owner Dustin Lancaster confirmed the restaurant will pause service for six to eight weeks (except for already planned events) for a rebranding that includes cosmetic changes; it will reopen with a new chef, new food and bar menus, and an overall new direction—Lancaster says the incoming chef is a well-known local name with ambitions to turn the restaurant into a dining destination. The hotel is expected to return as a jewel-toned boutique overnight option for the booming Arts District, particularly appealing to people associated with Warner Music across the street." - Farley Elliott
Went in kinda late to meet up with some friends and it was really chill. Played some pool, met the owner who was so friendly and remembered my name after just once of me telling him. Would love to go back again

Such a surprising place to drink, looks very unassuming from the outside, but walking through the door instantly changed my expectations! Such a clean, upscale atmosphere.... Delicious free food on Sundays.... And OMG the bartender was so attentive and professional, and has about a million jokes to tell you.

Very clean place, no frills neighborhood bar.
The place needs to at least have a sign that says firehouse! It just looks like a plain white house, my friends have had a hard time trying to find it.
At least paint a "Firehouse with fire trucks" or even better do huge flames 🔥 to make it stand out. It always looks like it is closed, empty and uninviting.

Great business! Appreciate Jessica, a worker for the bar that always markets the company and just assured customers it’s a safe establishment.

Loved the bartender and the "regulars" we're welcoming and fun....only issue I had was how BRIGHT the lighting was.

Yelp
A simple boring but clean dive bar that doesn't have much decoration nor much character this place is straight out of Alabama or Georgia and looks odd in Illinois and this basically is about the oldest bar I'll have seen in some time. There's nothing special about this place and it reeks of alcohol and bleach and most of the people in here were drunk like a skunk and pretty out there. This is not a bar I would prefer to hang around the second time

Yelp
Quite the dive-y dive. There's a pool table readily stocked with the usual riff raff. The day bartender is a very nice lady who pours heavy - not a bad thing. The bathrooms are icky, low on t.p. and basically need serious help.
A shot and a beer joint for sure.
Someone recently told me they installed security cams inside. Weird.

Yelp
They use racial slurs often then laugh as if it's only humor . I don't know what's stronger the piss smell coming out the bathroom or the sink behind the bar !
