My husband and I were having dinner and witnessed an incident that involved another guest. We've been eating here for 20 plus years and are in the neighborhood. This guest, a gentleman, waited and waited and was never served. We saw this. Once he put on his jacket to leave ( at least 15 minutes, maybe more) a server asked if he was leaving. He simply stated he wanted dinner and drink and no one waited on him. This was about 9pm. We heard him ask for the manager. This "manager" came over, the guest said he had not been waited on and he simply said he was leaving. The manager loudly said, (totally uncalled for) "If you don't like the service, there's the door" and motioned the guest towards the door. Of course we were all absolutely shocked at what the manager said - all the tables and guests around us too. NO ONE waited on this guy. Period. He just sat there. Totally non-confrontational. My husband and I would have already left after 5-10 minutes at this point. However, we finished our meal and eventually got our check and this guy STILL had not been waited on by any staff member. We discussed this incident with a few tables around us. Everyone saw this transpire. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. It's people like this manager (in the red shirt) that should NOT have a job in the restaurant business. He's definitely bad for your business; and, my husband and I (and friends we usually meet here) will think twice about ever continuing to patronize your establishment.
