They just cracked open a fresh sea urchin (uni) ! Rory is super helpful in explaining the tastes, textures and ways to eat uni and other very fresh fish products

Isabella Niu

Google
When it first started we really loved going to this place in the Liberty Public Market. However we were a bit disappointed with our last visit. The oysters looked good but did not feel as fresh as some of the other restaurants that charge a similar price. The poke bowl was impressive in size and amount of fish given but the fish did not seem to be as high quality as in the past as well. The salmon felt like it had been slightly cooked with via acid or smoked a bit and not the usual color and texture. The Uni which we used to love going for was also a little grainy. Overall, it could have just been the day we went and caught them at a bad time but we were disappointed. Maybe next time will be better!

Daniel Bear

Google
Their oysters are bar none best quality and selection in San Diego! I buy all my fresh fish there. Dan the owner will cut you and size, can get item you need, and will give you a great price! Highly recommended!

Brian Jordan

Google
Never got to order, because they kept me waiting. 3 different people saw me and did nothing. None of them even said, "we'll be right with you". That's okay, because I patronized other vendors in the market who were very nice and courteous. All said, one should only spend their money with businesses that treat them well. Cannot recommend this place, and have no desire to give them a second try.

Ethan Beach

Google
Tall thin guy didn't give me the time of day when I brought up the fact my ceviche bowl wasn't right. He also smelled of alcohol. Pretty disappointed by this interaction. I would want the owner to know. Had no issues with any other employees.

Jonathan Adler

Google
Wow. Fishbone is now my favorite raw bar and top spot for the freshest seafood. The Owner told me he used to be a seafood wholesaler and it shows in the offerings here as everything I had was so fresh as well as extremely delicious. The oysters were the best I've had in years and included Capital(from Puget Sound), Baja, Carlsbad, Prince Edward and other varieties. They included the freshest horseradish, their special Ponzu Elixir and other great toppings. I also had their Tuna Machaca and tuna/salmon Poke Salad which were awesome. Their fishmonger, Greg, expertly prepared the fish and the Chef Renee did an outstanding job making the dishes. The Chinese Kombucha Tea(fruity and lightly carbonated) was also a standout. The presentation was superb on fine latin american artisan plates. This was definitely one of the best meals I've ever had.

Vanessa Soqui

Google
Ordered 1/2 dozen microscopic oysters, even the server thought it was micro and replaced it with a slightly bigger one. Poke rice bowl mediocre, lacking flavor. Overpriced

Google
Today marks the first time in history i ate faster than my friends. Currently posting this from cloud 9, where the poke bar took me. If i could eat this everyday i would. Super fresh.

Yelp
Anything your tummy desires Amazing!!! Food stalls and desserts to the max even shops.

Yelp
This is a great market! There are so many vendors for food and crafts. It's great to walk around and look at everything it has to offer. I went for Stone Brewing but walked around to see it all.
google avatar

Yelp
A public market is always a good idea when in a big group. It allows for everyone to get something they will enjoy! Tried the masubis - spam with kimchi fried rice and a jap chae masubi. Also got the lobster chowder fries, definitely something to share as I did get tired of it rather quickly. They have lots of seating outside around the area you just need to roam around. Lots of cute little shops too! They have a separate area of alcohol. They have a bar plus beer of tap and beer in cans. Tried a couple on the cans and love the options they have from ciders to sours to canned cocktails to all sorts of beers! Wanted to try more but ran out of space. Would come back the next time I'm visiting SD!

Yelp
Liberty Public Market is foodie heaven. A huge building packed with vendors serving everything from Mexican to sushi to Filipino and pizza -- you'll definitely find something you love. Plenty of tables inside and out, and with a park right next door, it's perfect for grabbing your meal and enjoying it picnic-style. Fun spot to explore and eat!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall cute little market! A great place to go with a group when you can't agree on something to eat. The bagel at pure was really good and I recommend trying it out!

Yelp
Luv'd this spontaneous visit right next to NTC park at liberty station. Parking is limited right at the entrance. Larger lots in surrounding areas. But a nice stroll through to explore the grounds. A foodie haven for delicious eats. A variety of styles and flavors. Service was friendly at all of our stops. Inside or patio communal seating areas. Most are bar height with a few low top seats. The mess hall has a large bar area inside are the eateries. Several entrances and water refill stations. So many choices your only problem with be deciding where to go first. Will definitely return to try more vendors.

Yelp
Lots of stores and fun and places to eat. So much to choose from....... Go there and take your out of town friends. They will love it .
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
Lots of great food options in one place! Talking to the people who work in the food stalls is important before making your choice, as they may not have items on the menu available. A note for Wicked Popcorn: if you popped the popcorn fresh, you'd have a much bigger crowd.
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
Went here to check it out during vacation. It is neat. Many shops and events going on. I tried the main lobster tacos and some chicken at the chicken place. All food was very tasty and worthwhile.

Yelp
This is very fun place to be...The paradise of colors, smells and noises...Its very busy and narrow but its fun to be there! Every piece of this market has a story to tell! I love their overall vibe and if you are in town i definitely suggest to stop by. I was able to find Good tshirt in a good and reasonable prices in this small shops inside. My tshirt that I got is a great material (cotton) and i love the color of it.

Yelp
What an awesome walkable market! There were so many different food and beverage places to choose from, as well as plenty of clothing, jewelry, and other goods. This would be a great place to visit if you want multiple food options. I had the mini donuts and purchased some dog accessories while visiting. I definitely recommend stopping by! Also- the murals are adorable!

Yelp
This is my first time at Liberty Station and I absolutely loved everything about it! Parking can be hard to find but there are many lots and street parking alongside. This place reminds me Pike Place Market in Seattle (where I'm from) because of the little shops and alley way. The foods were all different cuisines, ranging in asian, filipino, and much more! I decided to try the Liberty Wing Co and it was incredible, don't miss out if you're craving for the wings! I'd definitely dress more cozy, it can get a bit cold at night and it's a beautiful walk around the streets with the decor that is put up. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Sami L.

Yelp
Liberty Public Market keeps getting better and better! There are so many great art murals around the market which makes the walk amazing. You can walk through and shop boutiques, craft items (highly recommend the olive oil spot), and choose from so many flavorful spots for a bite. Parking is easy and definitely is a MUST do in San Diego!
google avatar

Yelp
I got lost trying to find this place. Thankfully there are signs that were pointing to it. Liberty Station where it is located is huge! It can be confusing. Once you get into the public market, the place is a maze of boutiques and food stalls. There are signs hanging that point you the restrooms and additional food stalls. Make sure you look for those as you might miss some gems. I loved the options here. It can feel cramped and noisy but I love the ambiance. It definitely has a market feel. The decor was eclectic. Outdoor seating were plenty. I loved the navy boat outside.
google avatar

Kandy F.

Yelp
We love coming to Liberty Public Market!! It's a beautiful area. The buildings are well maintained and clean. There's lots of eateries to choose from. I believe there is about 39 within the building itself. There's more nestled around the complex. Whether you're looking for pizza, ramen, Thai, burgers, salads, or popcorn, there's something for everyone! Once we've eaten, we like to walk around. After snooping within the building, we like to walk outside. We head out to the water area. There's benches everywhere. It's nice to watch the water, boats, and planes take off. Bring hearing protection, it gets noisy! ;) Overall, a great place for all walks in life. Ample free parking lot plus street parking if you choose that option. Beautiful walking path to enjoy and explore. Eateries all around. Clean bathrooms are a BONUS! Beautiful flowers all around. It's worth checking out!

Yelp
Oh Wow, Yelpie friends, this is the bestest food hall!! Out of all the food hall I've visited, I fell in love w/this one, Liberty Public Market. My recommendations for San Diego, this place is a must visit. I just love the vibe of Liberty Public Market. Luckily & what a nice surprise, we had plans for Vietnamese food for lunch but we just had pho the day before so thanks to Yelp, I've discovered LPM, I did a search for other eateries nearby and then the Yelp app led me here. Yay!! Liberty Public Market opened in 2016, The market is located in the Naval Training Center, which was an active Navy base from 1923 until 1997. Liberty Market is a popular destination in SD, enjoyed browsing and checking out the market before I made a decision on where/what to eat. I already bookmark a few biz for next visit. I was surprised to see a Reyn Spooner Las Vegas themed Aloha Shirt here, the same exact one my hubby has, hehe. Liberty Public Market features 25+ artisanal food vendors, offers international cuisine from seafood, to Mexican, Italian and many Asian Fusion. Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens has craft beer and farm to table cuisine. Specialty food shops and few shops with local boutiques, art galleries and home decor. The Candy Warehouse has vintage candies. look for the cute mini donut shop tucked away in the back, I just loved the vibe/atmosphere here, the outdoor seating area is vibe to enjoy your meals too. After checking out all of the food vendors, I decided on Slurp and the mini donuts was calling my name. hehe. Although there was so many selections to choose from I can't wait to visit again. Overall, super cool place to visit, Liberty Market is a vibrant hub for us foodies, Have fun and enjoy, happy eating! Oooh. & check out- White Rice, a fast casual Filipino eatery, which is a newest addition to public market.

Yelp
Decided to check out this food hall on Friday around 7pm. They close at 8pm which is pretty early. There was a good amount of people eating here. Parking lot can be packed. Sometimes you just have to park farther. This food hall is good if you want to try different things. Good for groups but also nice for dates. The food hall was loud. There's limited seating inside and tables outside too. There's also a bar if you want to drink.

Yelp
Was recommended the Liberty Public Market by a friend and absolutely loved it! I came here in a group on a Sunday and was so excited to see the place all lit up and decorated for Christmas time and an added bonus of smaller vendors set up around the market selling christmas goods, jewelry, and little knick knacks. The inside of the market is well thought out and has a bit of everything for everyone to choose from. They have food stands selling sushi, lobster rolls, ramen, pasta, wings, pizza, thai, to name a few, and a fairly large brewery/bar area. Since I was in a group we all ordered from different stands and tried a bit of everything. I would recommend the Alfredo pasta which is made with handmade noodles and a thick creamy Alfredo sauce. The clam chowder was delicious and filling from the Lobster place, the pad see eww has a good flavor, and the Lemonade from the popcorn place was the perfect balance of sweet/tart. Everyone really enjoyed it here and wants to stop by on our next trip to San Diego. The only negative things I would have to say is that finding a table to sit at especially with a larger group can take a while to find so just be prepared. Overall it's worth a stop to try a few different food items and to shop around at the little stalls.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday morning around 11:00 before our flight back to the bay It probably wasn't the best time to go because not all the places were open I ended up getting a chicken sandwich it was ok Wifey got a crepe she said it was really good
google avatar

Zach M.

Yelp
Tons of food to choose from. Hidden gem! Food was delicious and reasonable priced, will definitely be back.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Multiple choices. Great atmosphere for a couple of small group to enjoy time together each getting what they want and not feel rushed to move along by a server
google avatar

Erica A.

Yelp
Busy food hall with great selection of food/shoppes. Wish they had more seating inside or high chair friendly options. Great place to stop for lunch and walking around with your family on a nice day
google avatar

Debbie F.

Yelp
It was a pleasure to visit this food hall. It is housed in a former Navy building. The surrounding area offers a variety of trendy eateries, bars, and specialty food and craft vendors. Great place to get your steps in while capturing various arts district happenings. Wine gardens and dessert options top off the area to make it a win for my visit.
google avatar

Connie Y.

Yelp
OMG a giant food hall!! Everything to eat under the sun is here! It was build in old military barracks. Come here hungry. Lots of parking, arts and crafts, and FOOD! I love this place. I got the lobster roll, fries, clam chowder, beignets, ice cream, and a nutella, strawberry, banana crepe. Happy Yelping!
google avatar

Linnette R.

Yelp
Honestly love coming to this place. I personally hate to pick a place to eat. I'm indecisive. I like how I can just decide to come here and everyone can get something different and just find a table and eat. I went with Italian creamy pesto pasta. Then I got chicha from a Peruvian stall. Both were super delicious. Would definitely recommend coming to this place.
google avatar

Luiza M.

Yelp
This place was so fun and a unique find in San Diego! There's so many foods from all around the world and cute vendors. My favorite was definitely the Chicken Bao, but everything was so delicious, I am already excited for my next visit. I arrived at around 1pm on a Sunday and when I got there, it was unbelievably busy, I was worried, but within 20ish minutes, the crowds cleared and I was able to walk up to every place and find seating. Just go on off hours and you'll be fine!
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
My daughter always raves about the Liberty Public Market. Definitely a fun food hall, endless options of all types of foods. I suggest coming as a group and ordering something at several places to be able to try a few things in one visit. Plenty of seating, but it does get crowded on the weekends. There is also lots of parking, just be patient.
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
I always enjoy and love going to market places they are always amazing and so much variety of food and stuff and it's just a must in every city. 1 stop shop for everything macaroons, cake , shakes, smoothie
google avatar

Arp G.

Yelp
We love Liberty Station for its history and the market is good for varied food options. There is thai (our fav), empanadas (kiddos fav), boba, mexican, sushi, coffee, Mediterranean, desserts etc etc. Basically if its a group with varied tastes then this is the place to be. Only downfall is limited seating
google avatar

Francis V.

Yelp
Liberty Public Market has so much great liking food that I couldn't decide what to eat. I opted for pasta from Pasta Design and my husband bought a burger from Rad Burger. Both of us were happy with our meal and the service was fast. There's plenty of parking in the lot and the area is very peaceful. There's so many shops and eateries that you can spend the whole day here.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
It has a cool history being a former Naval training center. You can tell as you walk around the huge property. There are local artists that apparently rent space and sell their goods. The FOOD and BEVERAGE is mostly in one hall/building which is convenient. There is a big LAWN area for hanging out. There is a Stone Brewery on-site. It is close to Little Italy so we hit it on our way out of town. We had lunch at the pasta joint and got a tasty beverage at a juice place. And we got some French pastries to go as well as a sack of coffee beans. Parking is ample but the place can get crowded so bring your patience. In other words, pretend you live in a decade of the distant past and not The Tech Age.
google avatar

Jelly B.

Yelp
This place was poppin and busy on a Saturday! It is like Grand Central Market, full of food vendors and various cuisines. I like the variety of stalls. It's too hectic on a weekend. Next time I visit SD, I'll come on a weekday! The food I got was decent but could have been better
google avatar

Joyce W.

Yelp
"Go to the grocery store and buy better things. Buy quality, buy organic, buy natural, go to the farmers market. Immediately, that's going to increase the quality of the food you make." ― Michael Symon Now, this has got to be the coolest farmers market I have been to. This place was once the San Diego Naval Training Center that has now revamped itself to be a marketspace for food, arts, crafts, and culture. Whatever you could possibly want to purchase, you can probably find it here. There are so many amazing stalls and if I didn't pop in after a filling lunch, it would have been amazing to buy some good eats here. It is definitely a well-loved spot for the community. Support your local artisans while soaking in some San Diego naval history!
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
What: indoor market that is really an indoor food court. They have a handful of stores with some clothes and jewelry, soap and records, but mostly food. Le Parfait Paris - go here for macarons. Pistachio was so good. DD had raspberry and also chocolate. They texture is so fresh and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. One is not enough! Each one is $3. I think visiting once is good.
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the setting at this food market, the art and decor creating such an inviting atmosphere. And there were so many options to choose from, with most businesses open on a Monday... that's rare in my experience. We got several different snacks and dishes for lunch. The breakfast crepe from Olala Crepes and the bbq pork bao buns from Bao Bar were tasty (the latter a tad too sweet but still good). The lobster roll from Wicked Maine Lobster was a bit disappointing, but it could have been an off day, and regardless, there are plenty of other eateries to choose from here, I feel like I wouldn't run out of new things to try. Service was sufficient at all of the establishments we ordered from, and tables and seating were plentiful during our recent visit. Free parking was easy too in the lot outside. Cool spot. I will definitely be back when in SD.
google avatar

Beverly Y.

Yelp
Loved this.place,so we'll designed and organized. Definately will be back. All the various foods and gifts. Highly recommend but know busy at lunch.
google avatar

Mika D.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Definitely go if you're visiting. You can basically find anything in here; whatever your appetite desires! The parking can be an eyesore especially during the weekends but I promise you, it's worth it.
google avatar

Carolyn C.

Yelp
This place was so much fun - so many options great local eats and all sorts of stuff to try. We had family visiting from out of town and they laughed at us that we hadn't tried this place yet even though we live here. Yes, it's busy but if you have a couple hours before a flight and wanna get anything, this is a great place to try and it's super close to the airport. Our group had everything from empanada's to tacos and açai bowl and crêpes. Walk around a bit and make sure you explore all the options. You can also keep an eye out then to see if any table opens up. We also then afterwards shopped there in the market and then at a couple of the other stores that were close very fun experience.
google avatar

Yelp
This food hall, in theory, is great but it always smells bad and disappoints. I love their bar though, they finally have a NA section which was great to try for the first time!
google avatar

Mypang T.

Yelp
This is my 2nd visit here. It's a nice spot to check out. There are so many food vendors at this public market. Bf and I are foodies so we totally understand that the options are vast but may not be the best quality foods. We tried a few things and they were okay. Our favorite was the croissant from a pastry spot. So good! Lots of art vendors and it gets very busy here. So many pedestrians walking. Please drive safe and share the road. We loved exploring and walking the open park space next to the water. It is beautiful. You can see the planes take off from the airport above you. It was a great spot to see while visiting but 1 and done for us. I would def recommend checking it out if you're visiting!

Yelp
As a frugal experimentalist (food, not some other stuff), I am a huge huge fan of food courts/markets. When I turned 16, many, many years ago, my parents asked me to pick any place I wanted for my birthday meal. My pick...drum roll...the mall food court. Fast forward - and now still my favorite place to eat. A variety of small bites (aka: Tapas or appetizers) as a meal! Here is that I tried and 1-10 score for me: Panana - beef empanada (7), all 3 sauces - fav chipotle churry (6), regilChimichuri (8.5). Creamy Greek olive (6) Bao Bum - Pork (8.5) w plum sauce Thai - sampler (3 a coconut shrimp, Goyza, egg roll) (8.5) - Goyza dipped in leftover chimmichurri sauce from above - (10) Olala Crepes: Choc Chip sando w Cookie Monster ice cream (6) - a bit dry, so thirsty after, cookie overload for sure Fun, people, atmosphere - all 10, as Arnie said "I'll be back"!
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
Love the variety here. There's something for everyone. I walked around multiple times because I just couldn't decide but I chose Thai. It was good. I'll be back to try the other places.
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
Lots of different food places for everyone taste buds Plenty of parking but may have to park at a distance . We came on a Friday and was able to find a handicap parking spot in front. Can get very crowded especially, on weekends and during the summer. I suggest doing an initial walk around to see what you have a taste for. I settled on the Latin Chef which is a Peruvian restaurant. There was some bar table seating but I sat out front with family. I ordered the Pollo Saltado and inka cola- total with tip was $27.77. I really wanted to like this dish but it just wasn't my favorite. It lacked sufficient flavor . Thankfully there are so many other spots to eat that when I go back I can try something else!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
One of the better food halls I've been to! They have tons of outdoor seating all around, as well as shaded grassy areas if you just wanted to pull out a picnic blanket. We went early so we were able to get seating inside but there isn't much of it available, you're better off enjoying the weather outside. There is a great variety of food, drink, and dessert options here, but my favorite had to be Korean fusion food at Bopjo and dessert from Mia Sorella!
google avatar

Franklin S.

Yelp
This rating is twofold. Liberal Station im and of itself is Awesome. Lots to see lots to do. Plenty of good restaurants at the opposite ends of the Library Public Market. Liberty Public Market has lots to offer, but the standards need to have the bar raised. Especially for the prices being asked. The enclosed eatery area is interesting but unfortunately stuffy. Liberty Station need to make major improvements to the ventilation with in the eatery. The air is so heavy with the multitudes of food smells, you can cut it with a knife. They need to increase the volume of fresh air circulation. Maybe the filters are clogged or what. Something is not working. You can go In hungry and walk out buying nothing because the heavy cancels out your appetite. Head to the restaurants at the opposite end of Liberty Station near Vons & Trader Joe's and all along the park side roads.
google avatar

Maricar D.

Yelp
A good-sized indoor food market with some other vendors. There is a good variety of food selections; going from Italian, Peruvian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Korean, American, Japanese, Thai, Southern, and Filipino food. I'd say there's really only one spot for each ethnic food and then there's a mix of dessert spots; mini donuts, ice cream, crepes, etc. Also lots of alcohol and drinks to be able to get The upside is that these are local businesses and buying from here supports them, but on the other hand it is also on the pricier end and you may end up paying for a plate with less quantity. It's more of a fast food court type of meal anyways. Good to go eat here if you don't need something too heavy, but if you're looking to satisfy empty stomachs for the same price, I'd say go somewhere else. It's a very trendy place. The walls inside and out are artistically and beautifully decorated. It smells good, is clean inside and out, and there is a lively sense to the area. P.S. If you eat at the outdoor area, the airplanes from the airport nearby takeoff directly above every 5-10 minutes, so your ears do get rattled by the loud noises.
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
This was an I interesting place! We went here to visit one restaurant and were surprise to find that it was a whole outdoor mall/shopping center. It's very spread out. There are some short term parking spots around the center. But there is also a big parking lot which is free to park in. There are big grassy fields throughout which was cool for my kids to play in. It's VERY close to the airport. So expect planes to go by frequently, like every 10 minutes as some parts of the day. I look forward to going back to see more of what's there.
google avatar

Camryn K.

Yelp
This is a great place to go if you aren't sure what you want to get for lunch or dinner in San Diego. It is like an indoor food hall, and there are several options for food and dessert, and there are a few shops in there as well. I have been here a few times, and I like being able to have options if I am unsure what I want to eat. There is plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
It's been awhile since we stopped by here.. some restos are the same and new ones got added. It's still a tourist trap in terms of price and small portions. It was a good day to hang out around the area.
