Ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas and it was amazing. Excellently cooked and large portions too so you won't be soon hungry! Staff were friendly and energetic! Have a real passion for what they do! Always appreciated. I'll return soon for more of the wonderful things they have to offer (yes they have a large and great menu)

Not fresh and rubbery chicken. I purchased my food on Uber eats. They took forever to prepare it. Different delivery individuals showed up, just to turn away because the food took so long. And when the food arrived, it was drenched in oxtail gravy and white beans, although I ordered jerk chicken, rice & salad. The chicken was so rubbery it was so disgusting to chew. Only thing that was fresh and somewhat decent was the salad. Or lack there was. Never getting my business again. When people order food, make sure you send them fresh food. Because you know you wouldn’t want people giving you old, nasty food. So why m give it to customers.

Currently on holiday in New York and remembered eating here during my last visit. So we revisited yesterday. Service was a bit abrupt from the lady who took the order. Typical New York Jamaican style I guess. We ordered two lots of Jerk Chicken and two lots of Oxtail medium meals. Prices were a lot higher than in the UK. Just over $60 for the food. In general it tasted good. The jerk chicken isn't done over charcoal like back in London, but the gas grill does a good enough job. However there was nowhere near enough sauce on the Oxtail meals. That seems to be a running theme in a lot of the comments. Also the Oxtails themselves are cut quite small so are around half the size that I would get from a UK West Indian takeaway meal. It's a real shame that they seem to be intent on giving small portions of everything except for the rice, because the food is really flavourful. It's 50/50 on whether I'll eat here again when I'm back in New York in the future. The price just didn't reflect the quality and quantity.

Google
Chicken is nicely cooked all the way through even into the thigh, falls off the bone easily. A variety of gravies and sauces are available if you want additional flavor. Pretty fair for the price. This is for the Nostrand and Flatbush location if anyone is wondering. Staff were friendly.

Google
The only thing I like ike about this resturant is that they have a special for the snapper that only cost me about 13 dollars for a medium. What I notice however is that theres no real different between a large food and a medium food. The portion is the same. They hardly give your rice but I guess your only actually paying for the meat. The food is okay but everytime I buy the snapper dinner theres a different taste in the beginning it was actually good now it isn't. Theres always a line and the servers are a little slow.

Google
Jerk chicken is phenomenal best I've ever had in the city this far. They have a real grill & the meat is always perfectly cooked, seasoned & moist. Authentic Jamaican food here.

Google
This one of the few Jamaican restaurant that have provided a consistent tasting food and provide delivery services. The four star is because the Mac & cheese needs work. If you are ever in the area, stop in dine in or take out. The place is usually so busy at the junction, but the staff is very efficient.🤤🇯🇲🤤🇯🇲🤤🇯🇲🤤🇯🇲

Google
I grew up on fisherman cove from when they first came over here and they had the small shop and the line use to be past Lord’s bakery. The food use to be delightful and an EVERY WEEK MEAL. As time flew past their flavor of their dishes just went down! From the jerk chicken, the stew chicken, the curry and the OXTAIL. Just horrible now. Idk what’s going on but they have to step it back up. Island CC’s down the block is my new go to and now I see why customers were in there saying they left fisherman cove alone! They just don’t compare! If you want good quality Jamaican food then island CC’s one block over is the new spot now. I ordered a small oxtail and received about 5 pieces with a lot of rice. Granted I finished it but I really skimped through my meal, it wasn’t tasteful at all and they give you nothing but fat!

Jessica S.

Yelp
Except for like one girl they're all pretty rude in there. Only why I won't give them five stars; their food suffices. Might try another location, there are a few nearby that are quieter with less traffic. The jerk chicken is definitely a must

Kerri Ann C.

Yelp
no star! not even a half idk what's worst the so call manager NAME EULA ! with her bull face self or the food ! they refused to give me my food although it was served and sitting there already all because the orders ahead of me was waiting for jerk chicken in which wasn't even done being cooked I had to get a refund !!

Nate C.

Yelp
It barely made the cut. The food was just aight. There was nothing glamorous about it or to remember other than they forgot to add the oxtail gravy to my peas and rice and it was a little dry and flavorless. There were some dynamics to the restaurant other than it was in a part of town where the owners of the business were more concerned about their profit rathe than the experience of the customer. This was my first time and my first impression. There was no love in the way that the food was prepared. You know how you go to a restaurant and the chef is engaged with the customer experience? They not only suggest things or make offers that you cannot refuse, but they gain your trust to experience something that you never have before. I cannot say that this review laid on that type of experience in order to get 3 stars of more, but it was the impression that the represented. The impression that we are not here for engaging, we are here for business only. There was a lot of yelling going on in the kitchen area and the vibe just seemed tainted. I mean, If you are serving a meal and you represent a negative vibration in the midst of the arena or location and your energy, the owner of the establishment is not there to protect you from that vibe, then it is time to pack up and leave. The food has been tainted with the spirit in which is subsides. They harnessed a strange undertone that I was not feeling and where my own feelings protected me from the madness. The food itself, under seasoned. Taste like basic fast Jamaican cuisine. I did not finish or want to take home the items that I did not eat. Keep in mind this was my first meal all day after walking 6+ miles! In addition this was my first experience with island food in Brooklyn so now I am more skeptical than I was before I tried the food for the first time. But this is NY - I am certain that this could have been a one off, and I am more certain that there are greater experiences to be conquered on the food scene that ever before. The jerk chicken was very basic, grilled before your eyes, but the seasonings were weak - the rice and peace.... Not good to the palate, I was expecting an authentic kick from the combination of red kidney beans seasoning and fresh rice for that next level approach - but it was missing. The restaurant was clean but the restrooms where preoccupied for at east an hour - could not wash my hands with soap and water before eating so I used hand sanitizer - there was no one there to empty trash from the tables that were set up in the restaurant. There was a man that was about to walk away without bussing his paper plates to the trash can and he got reprimanded in a BIG way by some female who I am assuming was in charge of clean up. If she was the owner... then I dunno what to say. I will say this on any entrepreneurships behalf, The best experiences I have had is where the restaurants and their owners make it a place of worship! Food is something that we ingest, and if the vibe is not right then that is what we end up consuming. I will not be back to visit this place, but what I will do is Yelp about the other encounters that I create on my journey to find some of the best foods on the Planet! Judging from the other reviews on this page - I am not so far off in terms of the impression that Fisherman's Cove represents -

Yelp
Just passing by and was like, OMG the line is to the door, food have to be good, so I decided to join the line, go to the cashier, placed my order of a medium rice and beans with jerk chicken, steam veggies and plantains for only $9. Waited 7 min to collect my food. After opening my box it was a lot of food that my hubby and I shared. After the first bite I was mm tasted good, the food was extremely delicious. Everything was just right. Not a grain of rice was left back. Sorry I didn't get my hubby a plate for himself. Would definitely be going there more. Guys don't even think about going just do it. Clean atmosphere

Trevor O.

Yelp
Fisherman's cove was once the go to spot for my family and I on a Friday night for some delicious jerk chicken. That had drastically changed since the store moved a couple doors down on the same block. Now if I want jerk chicken, I definitely have to go elsewhere because I don't feel like paying for burnt, dry chicken that somehow never comes with bread whenever I ordered it. So disappointed with the food but also some of the staff clearly have attitude issues when I last visited

Sharlamaine W.

Yelp
Make sure you get meat opposed of fat when ordering oxtails. Depending on whose cooking you're bound to get some soft cabbage.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Not bad. Only stopped in b/c I could see the line was long and so I thought that would be a good sign. When I went at about 7:30pm, they had already run out of curry goat & oxtail. Therefore I got an order of jerk chicken, and although the chicken was good..... I could make at home. The rice and beans were good and thankfully the plantains were very ripe. The meal also came with steamed cabbage, which I barely touched. Overall a good value. The customer service could use some help. Maybe: a hello, a smile, focus on customers instead of chatting, quit talking under your breath...... yeah, needs help. Anyway... better than golden crust, but still just okay.

Darween E.

Yelp
I have been coming here since my college days in 2008! Although the lines are sometimes out the door, I have never been disappointed with the food, which is why I keep going back. Most of the staff are polite, but people come here for the food. I usually order their jerk chicken with rice and peas, salad and plantain with jerk sauce and BBQ all over. Other times, I'll spring for the oxtail or stew chicken, but no matter what mood I'm in and what I choose to have, they don't miss!! It's all amazing and absolutely delicious

Kimberly G.

Yelp
The food is decent. Sometimes the jerk chicken is dry if you order around dinner time. It's not the best Jamaican food but it scratches the itch. The problem is the service. It's common to have delivery wait times that exceed 90 minutes. Most of the food is sitting on the steam table all day. What is taking so long? It's not like y'all are making fresh food. To make matters even worst, when they run out of food they don't call you and explain the situation. They mess up your order, through in a rude post-it note, and give you a nasty drink instead. They replaced my mac and cheese with lemonade. Just give me my money back.

Uriah G.

Yelp
Order was not seen after placing it at 5:59pm. They have no driver. I could have gone home and picked up something from somewhere else. Not doing them again.

Sha H.

Yelp
I give them 5 stars cause it's black owned and I'm in support of that for obvious reasons. Now let's get to the nitty gritty. I said this before and I'll say it again nothing compares to their jerk chicken. Cooked in front of you on open flames and the crisp of the chicken is magnificent. You may beg to differ but we all have our ideas of perfection. Shit my mother thought I was perfect! And uh no lol. Anyway I say that to say go to Fishermans Cove and Prove me wrong.

Strawberry G.

Yelp
Ordered the stew chicken with plantains and rice and peas and got sick. The chicken was old and rancid, the plantains was old. The chicken was spoiled inside and had a funny taste, smell!! Update: Decided to give them another chance, because maybe it was an off day and it was late when I got my food. I thought maybe I'll try them in the afternoon the food might be fresher. Biggest mistake ever!! I found hair in my food!!! I tried to call the store no answer so I wasted my money once again!! Horrible place !! Never again!!! They need to practice customer service... their attitudes also sucks. I asked one of the female workers if it's my food that she was making. I couldn't hear her through the glass so as she was packing she literally screamed "This is not your food!" I stated well I couldn't hear you clearly so no need to have an attitude, which she then goes " Well I told you over there." At that point I wanted to get my money back because my thing is I didn't force you to work there! This is your job learn how to interact with people and quit having an bad attitude!! That's why the food sucks!!

Stacie B.

Yelp
I went yesterday. I and numerous other friends ordered. I got a medium curry chicken. They gave me five or six little pieces of chicken. That is not a medium order. I was still hungry. They use to give you more food. The prices have not been lowered so don't give folks small portions of food. A few of my friends got the oxtails and got sick as well. The staff is also rude and unhappy. I need to find a new spot.

David H.

Yelp
The Jerk Chicken here is on point. Fresh and delicious especially if you buy it during the day. The lines are always long inside which shows you how popular they are with locals. The jerk sauce is delicious and their fruit drinks are prettt tasty as well. I would also recommend their oxtail which is sweet and salty at the same time. I still have to try their fish which looks amazing too.

Medina C.

Yelp
I'm soo sick and tired of these West Indian restaurants and these bad/nasty attitude workers that act like they're doing you a favor by taking your money! This is coming from a person from a Jamaican family who's very proud of that fact. Asked the lady to confirm that all my orders had gravy on it- if I don't care was a person!!...different restaurants throughout the years, same nasty attitude (including more than one from this one), absolutely no sense of customer service. This has to stop!

Nicole B.

Yelp
The best Caribbean food in Flatbush! The fresh grilled jerk chicken, the fresh food that they make everyday. The food is full of flavor, the rice is amazing. Highly recommend if you're looking for great Caribbean food by brooklyn college. They're also a little pricey for lunch specials compared to other Caribbean restaurants in the area, but the food is that much better so it's worth the money. Highly recommend. Updated 6/12/19 As usual, the food is on point! They definitely have amazing food with amazing flavor. But with any Caribbean restaurant, you expect horrible customer service. Everything was fine, the wait time was normal about 7-10 mins after you order your food. Now they use eco friendly containers for the food, which is great! (Go green for earth) however, my issue with that is, the amount of food, and gravy that they put on the food is too wet for these containers. As soon as i got my food i could already see the bag was wet, (which is normal with food with gravy) but as I'm opening the container to eat, it rips. So i finish up what i could eat, and go to ask for another container to secure the remainder of my food, that i just paid $9.54 for. The woman's response, oh. We don't give away containers. Huh!?! I'm asking because the one y'all loaded my food into is ripped. She refused. I asked for aluminum foil instead to which she obliged. That is why i took away two stars. So.. yeah... anyway food pics below. Lol

Omolara O.

Yelp
Yeah its official that I am never coming back here. I'm not coming back for different reasons. When I stopped in yesterday to order a small jerk chicken and a large curry goat, I looked at the steam tables. There were both curry goat and curry chicken in the trays. When I ordered it, the cashier said there was none when it was clearly visible in my eyesight. The next girl who came said there was curry goat left and she pressed it in. So afterwards I was told there was no more curry goat. I asked for the curry chicken and I was told there was no more. I'm like why is it in my face? I think they were confused or just plain old stupid. I opted for the stew chicken. The large only came with four pieces of chicken. I was really heated and I told them it's unfair for almost 11 dollars to have only four pieces of chicken. So after raising hell, i was given a extra piece. My jerk chicken was heavily charred. Way too freaking burnt. Because of the attitude, increase in prices but smaller portions and the plain old stupidity, I am never coming back here for any food. The oxtail was way too tough to eat when I bought some from here and I can make a way better dish at home. On to the next!

Janelle W.

Yelp
After coming here for 3 years , everything was good but after this Friday . I will wouldn't be returning here . I ordered oxtail with rice and peas extra gravy with a second order of jerk chicken with rice and pea Mac and cheese as a side . I ordered a medium ready to dig into it and I couldn't even get pass the first bite. I'm Jamaican born and raised , that's food made me wonder what people a do in da the kitchen over there . Both food had to be thrown away into the garbage. Wasted time and money smh and I seriously it would of been different

EJay S.

Yelp
Great food and decent prices. Staff for the most part are friendly and it's right next to the train station.

Floating H.

Yelp
I got a stew chicken meal and a curry chicken meal. I asked the cashier for two jerk chicken meals, but she said they were out of jerk chicken. After I placed my order for the two aforementioned meals, a guy came up and ordered a jerk chicken meal. And he got his jerk chicken! I usually let things like this slide, but I was really in the mood for jerk chicken and so was my friend. I had to let the cashier have a piece of my mind. She was so indifferent. A mess.

Carrie C.

Yelp
I thought I had reviewed this place but I guess not. Afterall, I have been eating here for about 50 times in the past 3 months. Yeah, not good. Wait, SO GOOD. I strolled into this place one day and I ordered chicken but they gave me goat. I was not happy about that. I ate the goat anyways, that's when I accidently discovered how good it was. I dragged a friend with me to get lunch here. Let's just say, we've been here way too many times in the past couple of months. This location offers some breakfast options, which I have not tried yet but looks reasonably priced and just throwing it out there. Jerk Chicken - You get a whole leg and thigh. This is what I usually get when I eat at the premises. I ordered this to go once, about 1 hour away, it didn't taste as good. Don't do it. They usually offer hot sauce, jerk sauce, or BBQ sauce. I like mine with no sauce. Curry Chicken - My second option when I want chicken with some sauce. I've had my share of curry chicken in different types of cuisine and who doesn't love some curry chicken? Super tender and juicy! Curry Goat - very tender, and not tough at all. I thought I was going crazy but I tried it more than once, the curry goat is in fact way more spicier than the curry chicken. I'm a weakling when it comes to spice so I'm ready to cry whenever I crave for this deliciousness. It's worth tearing and sniffling over. Oxtail - I love oxtail in almost every way, let's just leave it at that. The sauce was more on the sweet side though, but who doesn't love some oxtail gravy? Stew Chicken - The way this chicken is prepared is quite similar to the oxtail. The sauce has sweeter notes. I love my Jerk chicken and curry chicken though so I've only had this once. I just have to mentioned that I love the over done cabbage. I shouldn't be eating too much cabbage or in fact too much of this but I can't help myself. The rice and peas might be too dry for some. I've haven't tried the plantains, mac and cheese, and other items I have not mentioned. All the chicken and goat is very tender and juicy and just falls right off the bone when you poke at it. They have great lunch specials starting at $5.50, so worth it. Usually a "small" (lunch special) will fill me up for lunch. The small comes is a nice portion with an option of one side (plantains or cabbage) and your choice or white rice or rice and peas. Medium comes with two sides and a nice hefty portion. My usual order: "Jerk Chicken small, rice and peas, cabbage with oxtail gravy." $5.50. (the oxtail gravy goes over the rice and peas to make it less dry) The service could really use some work but I can really understand when I see them dealing with some of these customers in there ... but hey, I wasn't a difficult customer, a smile or some manners would be nice.

Yelp
Right when you get off the subway 2 line. Get off on the last station, Flatbush, right by Brooklyn College. It opens past 12. The line dies down of course late at night but the selection is fewer. I had a very memorable time in my early 20s in Jamaica, and had a life changing event happened during that period. So to me, anytime when I get to have Jamaican food, my heart skips a beat or two and I have flashback to when I was barely 22 and was set to become a diplomat's wife in Jamaica. Sometimes life is stranger than fiction. Decades later, and at the end of the day, the only thing we have left are memories, specifically, food memories. This place, for that reason, hit that memory spot. I'm interested in their salted fish and that was only available over breakfast. I opted to get curry goat. It's boney and good. Jerk chicken is super yummy. I think it's a very authentic experience in this part of neighborhood where it's filled with Western Indians. I liked my meal, and plan to come over in the morning to grab some salted fish for breakfast. $5.

Zenovia E.

Yelp
Ordered delivery. The $3.00 side of plantains was inedible because the plantains were dry and unripe. The jerk chicken was dry, with the top of the meat more like jerky, and no sauce was provided. The mac and cheese was wrapped up in a ball of foil paper as if I just came from a cookout. The rice and peas with the oxtails was definitely over-sauced. The rice was swimming in gravy. If this is the "best" as people say, I'm scared to see the worst.

Marlena K.

Yelp
Want some really good jerk chicken? This is your spot! I've tasted lots of jerk chicken, fishermans cove wins!! Come here for the JERK CHICKEN! I mean the mac and cheese NOT WORTH IT! So dry and not gueey and cheesy just not worth it, WASTE OF MONEY. The sides that the jerk chicken comes with ie; cabbage and rice is bland (they give you so much of it)...but the jerk chicken is cooked on a grill fresh in front of you. They grill and cut it right in front of you. The man slams some jerk chicken on the wooden cutting board and gets to chopping!! Its not overly spicy so you don't die of burning mouth or free cleansing of sinuses. Its like the perfect mixture of not overly spicy and still jerk chicken and so tender just so so tender. I added that jerk chicken sauce and it was amazing!! The oxtail was very good just a bit chewy. Since it was my first experience with ox tail I'm not sure if that is usual. GO FOR THE JERK CHICKEN.

Caroline S.

Yelp
I buy the jerk chicken only , It was horrible. it was burnt ( well done). the chicken was hard and black. It tasted awful. I ate jerk chicken before and it never tasted like this. they need to get a better cook. I would never purchase food there again.

Renee S.

Yelp
This place attitude stink if you want gravy on your rice, it is a problem

Wendrich J. M.

Yelp
Rude staff, long waits...food is okay but it can be better. When you ask them for side dishes that you are willing to pay, they give you 2 pieces of it. The jerk chicken is good, but too spicy for my taste even though they assured me it wasn't. Oh well...not much to say about this spot, but prices are affordable and that's why the lines are endless.

Marie J.

Yelp
I went in there to order food i wanted medium curry goat and two of the staff a male and a female stood in my face and told me " no more curry goat. I was pissed. Poor costumer service in that restaurant. I guess they wanted to take left over back home instead of serving it to costumers. Im done with this restaurant. I'll take my money elsewhere

Jewel R.

Yelp
bought a large rice and peas with oxtails at this location last evening and the food was SPOILT! I called the next morning to let them know that I was served bad food and instead of APOLOGIZING PROFUSELY for serving food that could have made me SICK, the manager matter of factly stated that I should have KEPT the SPOILT food or the TICKET for the order. ( They must be ACCUSTOMED getting calls about spoilt food and now need proof of purchase.) NOTE TO FISHERMAN's COVE: WE the CUSTOMERS KEEP YOU OPEN! When dealing with a customer especially when you're in the WRONG an APOLOGY goes a LONG way! IN the food business, it is IMPORTANT that you MAINTAIN quality at all COSTS! Your customers' HEALTH depend on your decisions to DISCARD or KEEP and SERVE good food! WE as a BLACK and BROWN COMMUNITY REQUIRE QUALITY in our NEIGHBORHOOD!

Olaedo E.

Yelp
This is my favorite location. The employees don't seem to hate their lives and mine. They are pretty friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. The chicken especially is always hot and juicy. They usually always have chicken patties, regardless of the hour. Although I live closer to another location, I always make the trip here when I'm craving Jamaican food.

Alyssa R.

Yelp
Food is normally good. Location is great when going to train station on Flatbush junction. The ladies at the register are always rude as they are in all West Indian restaurants. However the food is consistent.

Atrianne D.

Yelp
Fishermans Cove got me my first taste of authentic Carribean food. The people working there were warm and welcoming and walked me through what foods to try. My friends and I got a Large Jerk Chicken order and tried the Beef and Chicken patty. My absolute favorite was the Beef Patty, Super addicting! The Jerk Chicken was a bit dry and the skin was salty. However, we really enjoyed the food and would come back here for more. 8/10 would be come back here.

Teresa S.

Yelp
I was in the area and checked my yelp bookmarks for a place to eat lunch. I prepared myself for a long line based on the reviews but the wait wasn't too bad. The restaurant was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside. Most people were ordering take out but they have several table and chairs if you want to sit and eat. The place was clean and bustling with customers coming and going. I ordered two jerk chicken lunch specials with oxtail gravy, for $7 each. The lunches came in the mini Styrofoam bowls and my greedy side initially said dag it's not a lot of food, lol. Boy was I mistaken, I waited to feast on my food until I got home. The jerk chicken was nicely seasoned and was abundantly piled in that mini bowl. I couldn't even eat all of it one sitting. The rice and peas were cooked well and the plantains sealed the deal. This is one of those spots I will keep bookmarked to return again.

Tammy W.

Yelp
I was told to come here for their jerk chicken. And I was not disappointed. I get the medium jerk chicken, rice and peas with oxtail gravy, cabbage with plantains. Their barbecue sauce on the chicken, immediately after its chopped up. You can smell the chicken and it's seasoning thru the paper and plastic bag, your order is placed. My only problem, is that the system should be tweaked so that the cash register is not giving out the same order numbers on customer's recleipts. This adds to some confusion.

Sharenziie Y.

Yelp
The food is good don't get me wrong but the store needs to put up actual menus so customers can see what they have to offer not everyone likes waiting till the get to the register to find out the price of a dish and having to ask the price for each thing . Also the cashiers could be a lot nicer and more inviting they always look like they don't want to be there or take your order . But the chicken soup is Delisshhh!!

Josh B.

Yelp
The smoke-laden jerk chicken has plenty of flavorful surface area. I don't know if sauce is a necessity but the jerk and hot sauces were excellent. The cabbage is fresher than usual and the rice and peas get an assist from the optional oxtail gravy.

Cynthia R.

Yelp
First time trying this spot. Loved it!! Very flavorful with proper spice and healthy, good size portions. All of this was $24. Seems clean and covid safe with their setup. Would have preferred to see prices listed but it was worth the $ and fairly priced. Rice and peas, cabbage and plantains were far from throwaways. Everything was very good

Rachel S.

Yelp
Hanging in Brooklyn, craving Caribbean food, found Fishermans cove listed at the top in my Yelp app. Ordered the lunch special: Jamaican jerk chicken with cabbage and plantains & lunch special oxtail with rice and peas. After 45 minutes of waiting for delivery, the delivery person called from the lobby refusing to come deliver to my apartment. I carefully explained that he should take the elevator and gave him my apartment number. 10 minutes later he called again with the same issue. When he finally did come upstairs I saw him down the hall knocking on someone else's door! I gave him a nice tip, nonetheless. Once I opened the package I regretted it. The contents were spilled into the bag as if they were held sideways for most of the trip. The Jamaican jerk chicken was tasty, but came with rice, a few shreds of cabbage. Lots of bell peppers (which I do not eat) and no plantains!. The oxtail which I had ordered with rice and peas came with that & 2 plantains. The portion sizes were acceptable for a lunch special. The flavors were not as bold and complex as most traditional Caribbean food. overall: disappointing.Next time I will try another place

Hendie H.

Yelp
The food is good, it's the service that is LACKING ! It would be especially nice if the stuck to their LISTED scheduled hours of operation.

Yelp
The food was amazing, I had a large chicken soup. I wouldn't change a thing about the amazing flavors however, what's a good soup without dumplings? This was such a let down. I had to mention it. Next time please be as expressive as possible and make sure what you want is in the soup.

Yelp
I've only had Fisherman's Cove once before (at the Utica location) and I wasn't impressed with the jerk chicken but I decided to give it another chance. I ordered on seamless for pick up and it said my order would be ready in about an hour but to my surprise it was way quicker! (About 20 mins) The restaurant is popular so it is always packed so I had to wait in line for quite a while before I actually got my order. The food is decent but the jerk chicken was slightly over cooked, I don't like when it tastes too burnt. The Mac was dry and flavorless! Honestly if you're looking for good flavorful Caribbean food on junction go to McBeans down the block! The food is 1000x better and you can't beat a $5 jerk chicken special. I don't think I'll be coming back to Fisherman's Cove

Yelp
Fast food at its best. The selection of food here is simple and straight to the point. What ever you see, you're bound to be in for a treat. They truly have the best chicken stew. I always get it. I love their rice with peas as well as the mac and cheese too. Friendly staff and clean establishment! Will return again and again.

Yelp
Wasnt impressed whatsoever. I was in the mood for jerk chicken so I came to this spot being that my school is a block away. First of all no one in here is friendly. In fact they were pretty rude. For that reason alone I probably wont come back here or at least not frequently. I ordered jerk chicken and mac n' cheese. The jerk chicken was pretty good although Ive had better it was still good. I thought the mac n' cheese was terrible. There was only cheese on top of the noodles, the rest was rather dry. Don't think this place is for me unless Im having an insatiable craving for jerk chicken and Im in this area!

Yelp
Although I really love the food here I gotta dock them down for service and portions. The employees not the most welcoming and seem to be bothered by any order you place. The lunch special comes in a small container where sides are usually placed. There are several places in the area where you can get portions twice as big for about the same price.

Yelp
Price: Lots of food for the price, like most Caribbean places. Though, they may be a touch more expensive than other places. I can make the food last for like 3 meals so I won't cry about the price increase. Quality: The food tastes great, not blown away but certainly content. Ambiance: Typical, cold caribbean fast food restaurant. Not too nice. Service: Hate to sound like a broken record but again like most Caribbean places: that is, decently rude and they like to rush you. Would I go back? I mean that Jerk Chicken was fast and it was located near some offices I have to visit for work so, probably.

Yelp
This place has earned its stars !!!! My new favorite spot because the Jerk chicken meal is a great bang for your buck ! When I tell you it is one of the best places to go for jerk chicken I mean it ! I got a medium meal that came with HUGE portion of chicken and three sides. I chose plantains, rice and beans, and cabbage. $8 and I couldn't even finish it !!! felt bad for my friend that got the large. The quantity is soooo awesome since the food itself is so flavorful. It is a fairly large place with lots of seating but it gets packed quick. Such an amazing deal for great food. It has to go on you to-try list!

Yelp
Sooooooooooo I tried the jerk chicken and it was super yummy, fresh and tender omg. In this case everything was so much better! I'd recommend coming early and going straight to the jerk chicken! I also had jerk sauce Nd bbq sauce on mine so if you're into sweet and spicy that's definitely the combination of sauces for you!The rice and peas was still a little tough but hey with all the flavors involved it was minor.

Yelp
I should've taken photos of my food. I ordered a small and medium oxtail with peas & rice, plantains a side of bake Mac. Chicken soup and holiday bread omg I would never again. The holiday or should I just say fried dumpling was hard af with no taste tbh it tasted like sand got into my mouth. The food was not flavorful at all and the bake Mac & cheese like who made that. It was unseasoned, dry and seemed like American cheese slices was placed on top of it. There was no cheese no nothing in between noodles. I don't know if they just put noodles and cheese in the over with oil but that's just ridiculous. I would've given the chicken soup 5 stars but I had no chicken in it just broth, potatoes and carrots which was really good in flavor. I would never go back there again. Overall I paid $43 bucks that I can't get back. Then they wonder why people are afraid to support black when they do bs like this raise prices but Lack efficiency.

Yelp
Honestly I can't stand coming here. The people in here are so FN nasty. They always have a freaking attitude for no dam reason. A tip to you funky A** employees if you hate your job leave! Find another job go to college and pursue your dream career. Don't come to work with your funky attitude being infectious and ruining other people's day. Sheesh. On the upnote their food is good not the best but it is good and not consistent. They have their good days and bad days here. I think if they were more polite the food might taste better.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!! I had curry goat and my sister had jerk chicken and it was flavorful, tasty and mouthwatering. I was a little skeptical about the food because the outside doesn't look very appealing however I was greeted with a long long line as soon as we entered. That gave me a little hope that maybe the food is good. I waited about 5 minutes after I placed my order. As we always say "never judge a book by its cover." The outside of thr build is not pretty but the food is amazing. Will definitely go again if Im in the area.
