"Fitz and Starts is an all-day cafe that has more Feel Good Factor than most other places in the city combined. It also has enough hanging plants to make you consider becoming a full-time plant parent, and the only communal tables you’ll ever enjoy. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it all tastes like something our friend who is a much better cook than us would make. It’s also one of the few places in the city that you can go to for a cup of coffee and some pancakes in the morning, and then come back for dinner that night and not feel like people are going to look at you weird for it." - Team Infatuation

Came for Saturday brunch. We arrived around noon, the person in front of us was seated immediately, we only had to wait 10 minutes, so it wasn't too crowded. Started with a bloody Mary which was good strength but I prefer a little more horseradish. The food was fantastic. I had the quiche which was buttery and soft. My girlfriend got the mushroom french dip and it was a huge delicious mushroom sandwich with an equally good mushroom gravy for dipping. I will be going back for that. Service was friendly and fast, the indoor seating is well spaced, and the place has a nice vibe.

Google
Wow! We practically ordered everything on the menu except two items! They were all good to great, the ingredients were fresh, executed beautifully, flavors, textures, and temperature was all perfect. The server was friendly but seemed a bit green and may have been new to serving.

Google
Fresh seasonal dishes that were all delicious. Opt to let the chefs cook for you if you are an adventurous eater - we got to taste a number of off menu dishes. Next time we're go for the drink option too. Both great value.

Google
This place is delicious. Everything is good. That’s a fresh made English muffin pictures and a morning bun. All of their baked good are amazing. Their coffee is very very good. On top of that the staff is so nice, fast and very courteous. Highly recommend.

Google
Post review from having just drinks, I won't go here again. There are no vegan options on the dinner menu. 😭😭😭 Hungry Pigeon is truly delightful - I cannot wait to go again! Wonderfully fresh and seasonal comfort food with a high-end touch. Perfect cocktail menu for a hot summer day, which makes me excited to see what they will give us throughout the seasons! Dessert was a dream! Additionally, the staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating (as well as charming). Moreover, the decor is perfection with simple flower bouquets that make you feel like you're on a picnic in a meadow, quirky and beautiful pigeon-themed art, so many vibrant plants and greenery, and the most incredible birdcage light installation. This really feels like a countryside oasis in the city and I highly recommend it to anyone - such a treat!

Whenever I visit a new place, I love looking for the best places to eat in terms of both food quality as well as atmosphere. Most of the time, I'd say it's pretty hard to find a place that serves both. Hungry pigeon does both really well and it's definitely a hip brunch spot. During our visit to Philadelphia, a friend and I went to Hungry Pigeon around 12 to 12:30PM on Saturday and it was pretty packed. Luckily, we didn't have to wait much before being seated, but it's constantly packed with a table or two free at a time. Some times the bar area was open for immediate seating as well. I order the organic eggs scrambled and they tasted amazing as expected. Can't really go wrong with eggs to be honest. However, I do want to note that I was thoroughly impressed with the thick whole wheat toast which was packed with flavor and great texture. The hash brown also comes perfectly square and at first glance, it looks a bit odd and unfamiliar. After taking a bite, I realized it's really well cooked and the consistency of the crispy to softness is just right. As for the restaurant interior, you are surrounded by plants and hipster vibes all throughout. The workers were very friendly and accommodating. Parking was pretty easy and plenty of it right in the front of the restaurant. Overall, I'd say it was a great brunch pick and will definitely be going back when I visit Philly again!

Google
All the charm of Hungry Pigeon carried over. Outdoor heating for outdoor seating. Food was excellent. Perfect execution. The Waldorf salad was perfectly balanced with a beautifully yet mildly tangy yogurt dressing. The cheeseburger was perfect (the meat could have been rarer but wasn't dry), and the fries were inspiring. My wife loved the roast beef au jus sandwich. Bread was perfect, the jus dipping sauce was perfectly seasoned (not too salty). Everything was simple but executed with precision and clarity of vision. Comfort food elevated. Safe Covid protocols in place. Already thinking about when we can go back! One of our if not *the* favorite restaurant for us as a couple, perhaps!

Google
Very disappointed. I thought I’d try this spot because it had good reviews but it was a disappointment. For $22 there was a small piece of pork roll and one egg and a side of hash brown. The sandwich tasted okay but the English muffin was soggy and overbearing compared to the egg and pork roll. The hash brown was great. Sadly won’t be going back with for such a high price point and poor quality.

Yelp
So delicious! My sweet nephew recommended we dine here with him when in town. He said even as a non vegan he really had a good time here. Everything is vegan. Meatballs were incredible. Eggplant flavors were intense in a good way. Risotto was flavorful & rich. Edemame wontons didn't hit for me. Filling wasn't very puréed & they were deep fried. But we split everything so I went heavier on the meatballs & eggplant. Drinks were great. There was a lack of dessert offerings, which was a little bit disappointing. They were out of a couple of things, and the only options were bread pudding, a crème brûlée that other diners mentioned wasn't worth it and ice cream. Would love to see some sort of pie or other pastry or a carrot cake - there are other vegan bakeries in the area so I'm not sure why the restaurant doesn't just work with them to subcontract more desserts . Otherwise phenomenal!

Yelp
I love the vibe of this spot--from the rich teal exterior to the pops of color and texture inside to the music. The wall of pet portraits added extra charm. Service was prompt and attentive. In my two visits here, some dishes have been better than others. The crab cakes and accompanying corn relish were consistently delicious. The meatballs were good and filling, and really matched the look and texture of meat; the chickpea taste threw me off a bit. The empanadas were bland, and the two accompanying sauces didn't change that. Though there were a few misses food-wise, I would visit again.

Yelp
This is a generous four star review -- the dishes here that are good are GREAT, but there's simultaneously so much that's lacking. If you order ONE thing, let it be the broccoli. Right now they have crispy broccoli with a tahini sauce served with pomegranate and it's phenomenal. Crispy, savory, sweet and I wouldn't change a thing. On the other hand, the maple glazed brussel sprouts that sounded so enticing fell so short. They completely lacked a maple flavor, were not crispy, and had such an odd spice blend in them. It was to the point where the dish had to be sent back, and the table next to us actually did the same exact thing. Moving on, the edamame wontons are a great idea, but the filling itself was oddly chunky and could have been better put together. The sweet black vinegar reduction served with the wontons was amazing though. The nachos were not good. The vegan cheese sauce was incredibly thin, and barely coated the top layer of tortilla chips. The sour cream was also lacking and the guacamole was a pureed consistency similar to store bought guacamole, it didn't resemble fresh avocado at all. The meatballs were solid, and I enjoyed the focaccia they came with. We finished the night with the crème brûlée which was lovely, but it's definitely coconut milk/cream based - so beware if you aren't a fan of that. Overall, the vibe in here is cozy and it would make a great date spot. There were standout dishes that I'd come back for, but there's equally as much on the menu that I would never want to eat again. I hope they can continue to refine the menu because there is potential here to be such a strong vegan restaurant.

Erica G.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. It was really a beautiful restaurant. The server was engaging. All of the people around us were so nice. We had conversations with the people sitting next to us. Everything on the menu tasted perfect, and the drink was also really well-made. I strongly recommend this sourdough.

Anjoli F.

Yelp
The layout, ambiance, service, and menu options are just lovely! I sat at the bar and tried two dishes. Although I love this place and will keep trying more dishes, I have to say, I wasn't impressed by the food! I know I know! Hot take! But I am determined to give it more tries! The beet salad was just too salty! Way over salted! The beets tasted like they were cooked in salted water, but the pesto dressing was salty too so all together it was too much. And I am a person who tends to over salt when cooking! The gnocchi was good, just not that great. I had an interesting after taste in my mouth that was perplexing. Overall, def going back, just not getting these two dishes again.

Bernie D.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. They have such a creative menu and everything I have tried has been delicious. The bread pudding is always a must for dessert no matter how full I am. Although it presents as a tapas style the portions are very satisfying.

Yelp
After a handful of visits I figured it was time for a review! I've been for both weeknight dinners and a Saturday lunches and have always been met with friendly and quick service in the charming space. I do love that that menu is changed out seasonally and if I'm being honest the lunch menu has been my favorite! I've never had such a great plant based omelette before and the avocado toast is delicious! Cocktails/Mocktails are creative and very enjoyable! Such a great spot to stop into during a stroll down 4th St if you're lucky enough to grab a seat, highly suggest a reservation!

Efraim S.

Yelp
Very quick service - to the point where it was a bit scary. We order and within 5 minutes all the food was out. We skipped drinks - pricy but looked good. Enjoyed the decor. Top dishes were the eggplant , the mushrooms sliders and the crab cakes Strongly disliked the dry edamame dumplings. Meatballs were ok but the star of the dish was the focaccia

Yelp
My husband and I traveled up to Philly from DC to visit my sister who is there for work for just the summer. My sister and I are vegan (my husband is not) and we throughly enjoyed the food. My sister's favorite was the basil gnocchi and I loved the tacos. We were divided on the deserts but I really thought the creme brûlée was delicious. My husband liked the sour dough bread the best. We had reservations and arrived about a half hour early but they had our table waiting for us when we got there. All in all 5 stars for food, presentation, ambience and the serving size was just enough to fill our tummies. Most of all, the servers there are genuinely so nice. This place is a real gem!

Yelp
As a predominantly plant-forward eater, I am always looking for restaurants that can put together a solid veggie dish, so I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, it just fell a bit short for us. The restaurant itself is adorable, with a sort of speakeasy vibe --- lots of windows with blue/bronze/brick decor. We were seated quickly and given an orientation to the menu by our waiter. They were featuring a prix fixe Vegan Restaurant Week menu that offered a lot of their best sellers for a very affordable $35pp, so we opted into that. Service was very fast, and the whole meal took us about an hour with the speed at which our dishes came out. Some highlights: --- The Pumpkin Harvest Cocktail with bourbon, pumpkin butter, and maple was a perfect fall drink. --- The Charred Taos Eggplant was perfect cooked with a flavorful sauce with just enough of a kick. --- We got the baklava and bread pudding as our two dessert options, and both were excellent. Meh: --- The mushroom sliders featured perfectly fried mushroom that was bland on its own. When you were able to get a bite or two with ALL of the associated toppings, it was actually pretty good, but there just wasn't enough of the sauce to save it. --- The edamame wontons were just okay --- the accompanying sauce was good, but the inside was dry and could have used a bit of flavor. Some disappointments: --- I normally love a good brussels sprouts dish, but theirs were overseasoned with a spice mix that I really didn't like. My husband thought they were fine, though, and finished my portion. --- The butternut squash gnocchi was not gnocchi made of butternut squash as we'd hoped and was instead regular potato gnocchi served WITH butternut squash that wasn't particularly flavorful and was kind of dry. If we lived in Philly, I'd probably give this place a second chance, but since we're usually commuting in from Wilmington for an occasional date night, I don't think this one will make our usual rotation. One fair warning: parking was quite a challenge on our Friday evening --- it's all street parking, and we definitely had to circle around and try a few side streets before we were successful. Make sure you leave adequate time!

Yelp
Headline: Fitz on 4th made me wish I lived in the east side of Philly instead of the west. Phenomenal vegan meal. Everything we ate was fantastic and the cocktails were perfection. It's also a super cute space and I loved the overall vibe. We were a party of five seated at the cutest table up front with a couch and cushy chairs. The ambiance is the perfect mix of chic but laid back and the greenery everywhere is a perfect touch. We asked for recommendations on cocktails and they were amazing. You can't go wrong with any of them and the wine list is also solid. There's also a mocktail selection which is so great to see. For our meal, we ordered a total of eleven dishes: dumplings, Brussel sprouts, eggplant, potato, butternut squash gnocchi, mushroom risotto, mushroom slides, crab cakes, beets, artichoke dip, and a fig and vegan feta flatbread on special. Everything was phenomenal and it was the perfect amount of food. My personal favorite was the crab cake - I'm still thinking about it - but the gnocchi and the potato dishes were close seconds. The food will make even a non-vegan consider changing course. The service was lovely and so helpful, too. Be forewarned that it's a free flowing kitchen so the pace is not controlled. The pace was perfection in the beginning but toward the end got a little hectic as we were running out of table room. No fault but ours since we could've talked less and ate more! Overall just an incredible experience. Highly recommended. One of my new favorite spots in Philly.

David S.

Yelp
One of the finest dinners I have ever had. The food was both interesting and delicious and the staff charming.

Mariah W.

Yelp
Not too bad but not incredible. Wasn't a super big fan of the cheese sauce on the nachos and I didn't like the crème brûlée. Would love to try some other food here

Khalil M.

Yelp
Partner & I visited for a weekend dinner date and really enjoyed it. Food is served Tapas style and is shareable for the most part. We ordered- Mac n cheese, the empanadas, edamame wontons, crab cakes, Brussels sprouts, and flatbread! While partner wasn't a fan of the Mac n cheese, I enjoyed it knowing not to expect it to be comparable to a dairy Mac. We decided the lavender lemonade was our favorite cocktail and both felt a little tipsy after just two haha. Our server was friendly and helpful with questions we had about the menu. Music was a little louder than what I had anticipated but wasn't awful.

Cathy O.

Yelp
It was my 2nd time here. My friend who isn't vegan was blown away with the quality and texture of Nonna Meatballs. It was outstanding. We couldn't tell that it wasn't real meat. The sauce was delicious too. Another favorite is the Mushroom Sliders. They were to die for. We started off with delicious fries which was perfect. We also got the Fitz Greens and Mac & Cheese. Everything was amazing. We love this place. Heard that they will be open for brunch on Saturday's next month so I will surely be back!

Lilly B.

Yelp
I walked past this place when I was in Queen Village and had to pop in. It has such a cute athletic with plants everywhere. The staff is super friendly and chill. They had a lot of great drinks on their menu and plenty of mocktails to choose from. Masons garden was the best drink I've head in a while. Very fresh, light and refreshing with huge cucumbers notes! The lavender lemonade was also delicious and fresh! The food menu was extensive and I couldn't believe that everything was vegan! There were so many great options to choose from! Can't wait to come back for more cocktails and dig into the food!

Maddie K.

Yelp
We were blown away be the service here, the team made our dining experience seamless. Food came out super fast after ordering and plates were whisked away after each course to make room for more. Everyone was kind and helpful. I also love that the menu is the size of a drink menu BUT it contains the food and drinks is so you're not fumbling around with two plus menus on a small table. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and seating is cozy, close to neighbors. I came to celebrate a birthday and got an adorable candle in my dessert. The food was top notch, I definitely have to come back for more. I highly recommend the "meatballs" and their mocktails. They had a nice selection of zero proof spirits in addition to a full bar menu. I recommend reserving a table to ensure you get a seat at this lovely place!

Shanel S.

Yelp
I am sure I'm in the minority with this review. The place is super cute with the best staff. Helpful, efficient. Open space with outdoor seating and very inventive drinks. Ok I got a margarita that was weak. Next round I just ordered straight liquor on ice ($2 charge for ice). My fiancée got the espresso martini and it was great. Other friend got orange creamsicles and it was delicious, I forget the other... so I was the sad one. We started with the zucchini fritters and they should've been fried longer. Zucchini can be wet, but a little squeeze of the cheese cloth goes a long way. The jackfruit bbq sandwich was under seasoned. I rarely ask for s&p but needed too and it still lacked flavor depth even though covered in sauce. Either season the jackfruit or better sauce would be ideal. The potatoes were just ok. I ended up eating them (wish fried harder) than the bland sandwich. Fiancée had the mushroom pasta. Heavy garlic but truly no real depth of flavor... again. There are so so many things we do at home with mushrooms that push the flavor to the top. This didn't hit. Our other friends seemed to enjoy their meal but did note it wasn't so amazing. I just wish it was better. Everyone else loves it but for me... I won't return. Again staff so helpful attentive and pleasant. Cute space!

Mike P.

Yelp
Great food and friendly atmosphere with a lot of regulars. Visited twice - both times were great. Favorites so far are the crab cakes, charred Taos eggplant, bbq corn ribs, and peanut brownie dessert.

Yvonne B.

Yelp
Yes, Gluten Free. Very pleasant atmosphere. Food and drinks were very nice. The restaurant have a very chill earth vibe. Let the server know you are gluten free.

Sara G.

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely sunny Saturday lunch here today with my mother in law. The place was very quiet and filled with plants. Plenty of tables; my reservation wasn't needed. We aren't vegan but don't mind eating that way. I enjoyed a special flatbread with vegan ricotta and ramps, and my MIL order the Caesar salad with the "crab cake." Both tasted great and felt very healthy. The service was kind and informative, if a bit pushy. We felt that the recommendation to order 2-3 plates per person would've been totally over the top given the sizable portions, and the beverages are aggressively priced at $9 each for a non-alcoholic drink. But if you've got the funds, this is a great spot to fuel before some Saturday shopping or a haircut at the nearby organic salon, Juju.

Rachel D.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Despite being fairly busy we were able to be seated right away for a table of 3 with no reservation. The food was delicious! Two of us are vegetarian, and one meat-eater. We were all impressed by how good the dishes were. We had the maple glazed Brussels sprouts, basil pesto gnocchi, purple sweet potato ravioli, crab cakes, nonna meatballs, empanadas, watermelon feta salad, and bread pudding. Our favorites were the meatballs, empanadas and crab cakes. I also loved their selection of mocktails w/ zero-proof liquors! It's small plates, so we shared everything and thought it was very reasonably priced!

Noelle W.

Yelp
My friend and I went for brunch today- we made a res but when we got there and saw open bar seats we opted for those instead. The ambiance was so lovely! The decor was pretty and a cute mural outside, plus a bar with velvet seats and hooks for purses - yes! The bartender was great and attentive - he recommended the special for the day which my friend and I both got and it was incredible (please add to the regular menu!) I am a vegetarian and am so appreciative of vegan restaurants which have flavorful and delicious options. I'll definitely be back! They also had a fantastic selection of alcoholic drinks which I didn't try but want to next time!

Vishnu B.

Yelp
The food was great, vibe was good, was packed on a Saturday evening. Small and cute place in the corner. Good for party of 2 or 4 or May be 6. Reservation is needed otherwise might have to settle on the bar chairs. Drinks were good. Loved the crab cakes (very different). Pasta was also well made. Overall, satisfied with the dinner for a Saturday evening.

Kendall B.

Yelp
Food is amazing the vibe here is perfect for a chill night enjoy with friends food is phenomenal and drinks are good 10/10

Emma L.

Yelp
Our first time here and everything we had was unbelievably delicious! We started with the edamame wonton, spinach & artichoke dip, watermelon salad (Omgosh!), crab cakes (heavenly), and purple sweet potato ravioli (to die for). Explosion of flavors! We ended up ordering empanadas to go cause we were so stuff. The mocktaild were yummy . We're not vegan, but the food here is so fabulous! It's now our #1 place to go! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. We'll be going again next week & week after that. It's that good!

Clarissa V.

Yelp
Loved the New Year's Eve dinner tasting menu. Didn't realize it was an "experience menu" night when we came in, open table was alerting for various restaurants but not here it seemed and we got slapped with a hefty $350+ bill for 3. The drinks were amazing and of course super pricey at $14 a pop. Which I guess that's what is happening around town now that I'm finally feeling better about going out eating again. All the courses except for the dessert were amazing. Bummed that there was no bread to sop up the sauce as they said they ran out the day earlier which is a bummer. Was super hungry as i hadn't eaten all day and was nervous with the first 2 small plates and kinda delay of course bringing them out but then by the time it came to crab cakes omg hat was the best. Really loved everything and my friend who NEVER eats mushrooms loved her mushrooms. Was getting filled by the end and stuck with just one drink for the night but everyone embibed on daze race and whiskey drinks and espresso martinis The dessert is where it fell apart. The baklava was way too sweet but she said it wasn't a baklava she normally enjoys and it's her favorite dessert But mine and my friends was too weird. It was a little bit of parsnip pudding with berry compote served in a large black bowl which was an odd decision. It then tasted more like what mashed potatoes or cauliflower or purées under a savory dish would go well with, and not a dessert pudding. So that was a bummer. Plus it had a cream of wheat consistency. So besides the dessert being a bummer, running out of bread, and $125 per person it still was a superb meal. I guessed wrote on the crab as having hearts of palm and now I forget. Artichoke! That I'll come back for with my vegan friends

Solomon D.

Yelp
FYI this review is based on the recent fundraiser they held for the Mario Lanza dog park but, it was great regardless! First off, how great that they opened the place just for this fundraiser on a night when they are otherwise closed, and apparently donated basically everything including their time to serve the community. Really fantastic and it feels good to support that. The food was fantastic (And we're not actually vegan)! Favorite dish was a toss up - the meatballs were so close to real meatballs it was weird especially since they weren't impossible meat, just chick peas and seitan. Other stand outs were the sweet potato pasta which was so flavorful and great with perfectly cooked pasta. The guacamole was good and surprisingly spicy actually. Also got to try the empanada which was solid, and the edamame dumplings were excellent as well with a perfectly crispy outside and nice sauce for dipping. The only let down was the French fries (I think that's what they were?). Weren't super crispy, flavor was good though. There were two cocktails available for the event. Both flavors were great! A bit weak on the alcohol but not a big deal. Servers were super nice and attentive (one might have been the owner?). Overall seems like a great menu run by great community minded people and we will be back for a full dinner for sure!

Jackson L.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service. Love it and highly recommend! It's also very beautiful in there, the atmosphere is so nice!

James S.

Yelp
Fantastic spot. A true Queen Village gem. Delicious and creative plant based eats, suave vibe inside, great staff

Blair D.

Yelp
Cute bistro serving delicious 100% vegan fare. Indoor and some outdoor seating, creative menu of small plate dishes and fancy cocktails and mocktails. Delicious desserts, too. Our server was friendly and attentive. A bit pricey, but worth it! If you're a light to moderate eater, 1.5 to 2 dishes per person (especially if you are saving room for dessert) are plenty. My friend and I shared a flatbread, tacos, and risotto plus desert and were satisfied. If you're very hungry, go with their recommended 2-3 dishes per person. Would definitely go again!

Jonique M.

Yelp
Food, drinks, staff and setting were very good Parking was the only issue. Dined there in April for Date Night. The tapas style meal was just right. We will visit again when back in Philly.

Erika L.

Yelp
Some of the best vegan food in Philly! There is nothing better than vegan tapas so I could try all of the things. I went ON my 40th birthday and I couldn't have been happier stuffing my little 40yo face with all that YUM! We got the roast broccoli special, lions mane flatbread special, beet salad, Caesar salad, sweet potato rigatoni, I can't remember the rest but everything was superb. I can't wait to go back.

John Michael S.

Yelp
Such an enjoyable meal. The squash was perfection. My sister was not a fan of the dumplings, I did however like them. Make sure you get the spinach salad. The drinks were spot on! I will say fairly price as well!

Carlos R.

Yelp
A must try if you are in the area! The staff is super attentive, friendly and welcoming. If you like tasty cocktails look no further. Our personal favorites were the Fresh Berry Margarita and Z's Flaming Mojito. We really enjoyed the lentil meatballs, crab cake and pink penne pasta. For dessert we had the carrot cake which was top notch. All the food came out as it was cooked so everything was hot and fresh. The owners Alex and Alison even took the time to stop by our table and chat with us. They truly care about their customers! Excited to have this spot available for some healthy eats and good vibes.

Susana M.

Yelp
Everything - food, service, ambience. All excellent I ate there twice within two weeks and all the desserts had changed. I did a happy dance. One negative, the first time I went and had a hot dessert. They forgot to tell us that the dish on top of a plate was exceedingly hot. Yikes. The second time with a different filling the server told us. Keep in mind, the meals are tapas. Certainly enough if you were three people to share and order lots of different combinations. Can't wait to return.

Matt M.

Yelp
Went here a few weeks ago and enjoyed everything. The space was artfully decorated with a nice bar, plenty of natural light, and plants. We started with some spinach artichoke dip which was maybe the best I'd ever had, vegan or otherwise. I had to keep moving the plate to the other side of the table to stop myself from eating it all. The mushroom sliders were delicious! We had some seasonal specials that were all very good. The service was great. I look forward to going back and trying their brunch menu.

Dorothy L.

Yelp
Excellent, friendly service and delicious food. As someone who loves my animal-based products, I am always a bit wary of having vegan food, but Fitz on 4th far exceeded my expectations. Since we were in for lunch, we also had the cold brew with oat milk (which I think is made in-house?) and agave which was divine. The decor is so beautiful and the space is cozy. Will definitely be back!

Cailyn C.

Yelp
Love this place every time I come here. Completely plant-based and they nail every single dish. It is a tapa-based restaurant which is perfect for me because I always want to try everything on the menu. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes, but I absolutely love the focaccia, edamame wontons, eggplant, mushroom sliders, and the pasta dishes. Cocktails are also incredible. I love the Mason's garden. It is so refreshing and complements the meal so well. Always great service and a cozy atmosphere for a night out. Will certainly be returning :)

Luba P.

Yelp
A really great vegan restaurant for both your vegan and non vegan friends! It is in a really adorable corner restaurant; has a full bar with sports games but feels like an upscale cafe. The food was good; the nachos were super fresh and home made but don't expect cheese sauce (or a fake alternative) it was a very nice butternut sauce. Excellent mushroom pasta for picky eaters. The bbq jackfruit sandwich was ok; I think the bbq flavor was a little different. Great pumpkin protein balls. Overall there are a lot of options: and I would want to try some of the many brunch options! I like that this place doesn't have a lot of vegan substitutes foods and most of things are made from fresh vegetables!

Yelp
Alison (Chef/owner) and her team are excellent in creating creative dishes, wine suggestions, and frankly, for the heartiest of meat eaters, these dishes are delicious and satisfying. The sliders really do taste like a fried chicken slider and the corn ribs are amazing. The service is excellent and I love the space - like a neighborhood bar that is uber comfortable yet has a sense of upscale. It is now a go to restaurant for us.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Stumbled in on a sleepy summer Saturday around 2. Service was great, food was amazing. Lovely salad, amazing meatballs, yummy asparagus flat bread, savory Japanese eggplant and the local fried green tomatoes in a curry sauce was outstanding. Loved all the options and the decor is a place I want to live in. Will def come back as its my new fav place in Philly.

Yelp
This place was FABULOUS. The ambiance was smooth and laid back and, the service was excellence. Carlos was our server and he made AMAZING recommendations! The mushroom sliders were so good, they are worthy of traveling to Philly from Cali JUST for the SLIDERS. When I return, Fitz will be a do over!!! The prices were also reasonable and priced well for what we get. I'm so glad I found this place!

Yelp
The "crab" cakes and "meat"balls were big hits at our table along with other flavorful vegan dishes made by owner Chef Alison Fitzpatrick. Even the carnivores at the table enjoyed every bite! Lots of creative cocktails & mocktails to choose from in addition to the standard bar drinks. The Fig Old Fashioned created by Alex Soto was highly praised by our picky bourbon drinker! (A vast array of gluten-free options are available.) The great food, friendly staff and comfortable setting made our first time at Fitz On 4th a huge success! We will be back soon!
