Five Guys

This restaurant is very clean. They do have a lot of spots to sit. They offer peanuts in the shell while you wait for your food to be done. I ordered bacon and paid for it. But when I got home there was no bacon on my burger. That has never happened before. The fries and our burgers were delicious! At 5 Guys they only sell burgers and hotdogs. They do have tasty milkshakes. They also have Coke products. The staff is friendly and quick.

We ordered a burger, hot dog and fries. The fries were decent but the hot dog and burger were the driest and most tasteless thing I've ever had. It was so so generic and tasteless. It's nowhere what it used to be. Who can look forward to eating here anymore?

Loved my service at this location. Food and portions are great. Going to be my go to spot for burgers. Cornelius was very attentive. To every customer. Will for sure come back. Neighborhood gem. 💎

I don’t get the hype of this place. I got double cheeseburger with recommended toppings on the menu. Super greasy, the juice from the meat was absorbed by the bun and it was impossible to eat without burger falling apart. I have to give them a plus for fresh veggies and big portion of fries even if I ordered small size. And the most important is the price, super expensive Double cheeseburger, small fries and large drink they charged me $22! You pay that much in restaurant and eat much better burger.

I really enjoy Five Guys cheeseburgers! My friend loves the bacon burgers. The fries and Cajun fries are delicious also! The milkshakes are good too! I like the pop machine that they have where you can dispense any pop with any flavor basically! Good stuff! Delivery is fast also!

They are very stingy with the fries. They charge you the 11 dollars after tax for a large fry and only fill up the fry cup with a few in the bag. 5 guys is supposed to be the place where you go to get a whole bag of fries when you get the large. It's built into the price. This specific location repeatedly does this so it's the managers or owners that go against company policy, and not the individual workers. The staff is lovely. Each time I've tried to give this location a chance I leave dissapointed. If you don't believe me spend 11 dollars on a large fry yourself. They will leave you wanting.

Not my best visit to a Five Guys. Much preferred the location near Loyola that is now closed. Bun was crumbly, one of the soda machines must have been on the fritz, as I tried several different flavors of drinks and they all tasted hinky. Staff was a little squirrelly, and not super friendly. Overall it was okay, not their best showing.

Hilariously bad experience. Got single patty on my regular cheeseburger, no ice in soda machines, tables dirty, and cheeseburger was dry. The worst Five Guys I’ve been to.

This location is very nice and very clean inside. Employees are very nice and always working hard. The dine is spot is very nice and laid back but can be very busy omits of the time especially on weekends. The burgers are good and I would definitely come back again to this location.

this location sucks, I asked for a regular hamburger all the way after a long ass day & came home to a SINGLE patty with no toppings on a dry ass bun. the person at the register said he would hook me up & did the exact fucking opposite. then when I called to get my issue fixed somehow, the worker on the other line hung up on me after I explained my issue. fire everybody in the establishment & start fresh, obviously five guys cannot run a burger stand.

Solid burgers and fries here. Prices are a little high for "fast food" but honestly I appreciate all the toppings they offer without extra cost. Fries are fresh cut and fried perfectly. I always leave satisfied and the dining area was clean and comfortable for eating in.

Terrible place ! I was inside with my service dog and one woman from the staff was super rude asking to go out. Yelling to me no dogs allowed, I answer that she was a service dog and I show the ID . No one care.. she keep yelling. She say that she gonna call the manager but at that point my husband and friends were mad and tall me to go ... awful place and costumer service!!

The food is ok but way over priced for what is if I going to spend 20 on a burger and fries there are better places in Chicago the only reason it gets staff which great this place as whole had gone down hill because of corporate greed even with the lens of nostalgia this place is not worth the price I don't think I'll be back it was very clean though

my mom ask when my milkshake came and then the short guy say SLOW DOWN in a mean tone and then my friend wanted to go to the bathroom and ask for the bathroom code and then the lady said ITS ON YOUR RECIPET and there was poop smeared to the wall on the lady's bathroom like what??Do not come here unless the bad stuff change(I am the daughter of the lady that got yelled at and I'm very disappointed I hate five guys)

Popped in with a friend to order milkshakes. Asked for the bathroom code while she ordered for us, so I could snag a table while she freshened up. Was informed that they have no public restrooms. I said hey my friend is ordering for us. Was then told again no code since I wasnt th3 one ordering. At that point she left the counter and we both walked out. Way to go on common sense and customer service. Only gave 1 star so I could post my experience. Don't recommend at all.

There has been a HUGE change in this place over the last year. Anytime I am there I see the same guy (I believe the manager? or owner?) and he is doing it all! Service is awesome, place is clean, and the food is delicious!

The service at this location leaves a lot to be desired. The employees seemed tired and unmotivated which caused my rating to drop a bit low. The food itself was pretty good! I ordered a single cheeseburger with free add-on toppings and it came out hot and fresh. The bun is soft and warm and the burger patties are pretty oily but cooked medium/medium-well. Very tasty burger. I also love the complementary peanuts (be sure to ask for them!) and I'm looking forward to when we can self-serve to snack on before the food is ready.

Always great food but the prices have gotten a bit crazy. I used to eat there more often but I can't so much anymore but that's not the shop itself fault. The milkshakes are amazing and they give you a gallon of fries.

My mom wanted a burger...My mom got a burger :) I ordered her a Burger without cheese & She Loved It!! They overloaded us with fries as well :)

Was in the mood for a burger..stopped here...way over priced! Cheeseburger was over 9 bucks, two ample patty's on a mediocre bun....French Fries were 5 stars, they were great, and a decent amount for the small order..the burger was ok, but not worth 9 bucks...two pieces of American Cheese, that were perfectly melted into the burger, I asked for ketchup and pickles, perfectly dressed. Ordered a milkshake, that was just fair and not worth five bucks...after eating this meal, I was bloated, and will never do that again, I'd rather go to Culver's, for half the price.

This was an average experience. I will say 5 guys inflation has exceeded that of its rivals: Culver's, Portillo's, and Wendy's. However, I had a satisfactory burger and I appreciated the Cajun fries.

I placed an order for takeout at 9:45 PM CDT. I understood that the location closed at 10, but it allowed me to place the order and stated it would be ready prior to the closing time. Upon arrival, they told me that the fryer had been turned off and cleaned before 9:45 PM, even though they were actively taking orders and one of their best sellers are... french fries, which are made in the fryer. If they are stopping the production of orders, then they should also stop taking orders online. To make up for the lack of fries, they tried to give me free bacon (which I don't eat) and a free milkshake as an apology (without refunding me for the fries). I don't eat bacon nor did I want a milkshake at 10 PM. I understand the sentiment but french fries, bacon, and milkshakes are all extremely different food items. I'd go as far to argue they're incomparable. If the kitchen starts closing before 10 PM CDT, then their hours should change to reflect that and they should close their store when their kitchen closes. Please align your online ordering system, store hours, and your production times with the actuals so that customers are not deceived and can find somewhere else to get the food they're looking for.

I ordered two hamburgers, one for me and one for my boyfriend, for which I paid $58 and they were garbage, especially mine. They completely ruined my burger and did not add any of the ingredients I asked for, instead, they added an ingredient that I am allergic to. 58 dollars in the trash.

prices have gone up so much. a large fry and a regular soft drink is $15??? let alone a bacon cheeseburger is $16???? also the $7 shake i got was extremely runny. the LARGE fry in which five guys is know for over filling was extremely rationed. $30 for two hamburgers and a shake. RIP five guys.

Typical Five Guys burger - yummy. But this site wasn't to the standard of almost all the Five Guys I've been to. Seemed a little unkempt and there was no ice. And the price of the burgers were much higher than I've seen elsewhere. Yes, I know I'm in Lincoln Park, but geez - there have to be other burger joints that would give a better value. Just my 2 cents (oh wait, it would be more here).

Still great food but it's getting pretty expensive for my taste and the wait can be pretty long at times too. I'll still go there and I'm still willing to wait for good food but I just hope they can adjust the price to be more reasonable as it's been getting to be pretty expensive for me to eat there often...

Only reason I am giving two stars is because I have had positive experiences prior to today. Today I ordered delivery online through the five guys website. When the delivery came we were missing a part of our order. When I called the store, I talked to two employees. One was the manager. Not only was the manager extremely unhelpful but even gave some attitude.

Best Five Guys staff in the city! My burger was prepped just the way I like it on a lettuce wrap. When I went to pick up my order it was hot and waiting for me. I got a bun to go and they were kind enough to toast it and wrap it for me. Excellent service and delicious tasting food. Can't go wrong!

Ordered on line. To pick up at 5:15 pm. Received confirmation. Followed text instructions and told them I was on my way. 5:13 text I was there. Waited. No order. I showed my order on my phone. FIVE TIMES!! Couldn't find it. I keep asking what they want me to do? Finally they made the order. No apology. Just told me to have an amazing day! ORDER WAS WRONG. !! How can that happen? A lot of small businesses need us. I try to carry out twice a week around Chicago. Going to be very difficult to support Five Guys and Lies.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My pet peeve is restaurants/establishments that close early or outside their stated closing hours. This place was scheduled to close at 10 pm, yet the doors were locked at 9:40 pm. Consistency, dependability are reasons I go to McDonald's or Starbucks - you know what you're gonna get. I did not get what I expected - a burger and fries. The only reason I decided to visit the place, was because Wiener's Circle was closed for remodeling. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.

Honestly the best experience I have ever had at a fast-food restaurant! First off the staff is kind and professional as always and have ALWAYS made my mom and I feel at home and welcome! I stopped in recently and had excellent service, they remembered my order and always ask how I am doing. The food is cooked perfectly, let me tell you these fries and burgers are on point at all times!!! The men and women here make it feel like a five-star restaurant and are incredible assets to the Five Guys team! I am recommending my friends here and will be back!!!!

Had a craving for a burger and Five Guys was in sight. I didn't feel like dropping $12 on a burger almost passed but remembered they had a "Jr" or something similar so in I went. Ordered the Junior Burger (1/4 Lb I believe) w everything...not knowing what everything was. In short, all but the kitchen sink! The burger was very good, not exceptional but totally satisfying. Included sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions plus a ton of other toppings so it's $8 well spent. Last time I went to Five guys several yrs ago don't recall those items being on a "loaded" burger but it was a nice surprise.

Food takes a little long, so we call our order in. Love five guys burgers! Bring on the toppings!

Service normally average butt today was awful. About 745 pm did online order Went to pick up Was told was out of order Also if waited for manager to come they would give me refund. He was out ? I kicked up a fuss, he turned up. His words to me were it's not our fault . No I'm sorry you came to pick up order that you ordered Andi ts not there . Awful awful awful

My friend and I came here after the zoo since we both really wanted burgers, and on a whim I ordered a peanut butter and chocolate milkshake to share with her. It was the best milkshake I have had to date. The. Best. We had to fight over who got to finish it (twas I!) I don't know who behind the counter made it, but it was darn good. The burgers were spot on as well. The place was clean, the staff friendly, an overall positive experience. That milkshake though....

Terrible service and they gave me the wrong order and could care less that they did! The manager and the whole staff are completely apathetic and there is zero customer service.

As many recent reviews have noted, Five Guys has gotten very greedy lately. For a no-frills burger joint, a $10 cheeseburger is simply unacceptable. Throw in fries and a drink and you are looking at $20!!! In addition to the skyrocketing prices, the portioning has went DOWN. The burger is at least 30% smaller than it was a few years ago. Yes, they are still tasty, juicy burgers but just not worth the price anymore. The service at this location has also tanked and the crew usually has a very negative attitude on most of my recent visits. Five Guys, you were a rising star in the burger world that turned out to be only a shooting star. McDonald's, BK, and Wendy's are really upping their games lately, so be careful Five Guys...

Meh... Had the cheeseburger, nothing else off the menu. First couple bites seemed fairly tasty but half way through it all just started to taste like cardboard. $14 for a burger (no fries) and a coke is pretty silly. McDonalds was just as good for 1/2 the cost.

What happened to this specific location?? It used to be great but the last few times they keep missing the ingredients on our burgers. The fries aren't cooked fully and the bag is just full of way more grease then it should be and soggy. I started getting hesitant about coming back to this location.

Reliable chain. Clean. Plenty of seats. STRAWBERRY SHAKE is a medium size that is made from Vanilla Ice Cream with 2 ladles of freshly chopped real strawberries. Chunks travel through the straw. CAJUN FRIES was salty. Nice crisps. Reused as breakfast with add-ins to tone down salt. Free PEANUTS that I don't really care for. SERVICE is friendly, and informative.

I had ordered bacon cheese burger and when i got home the burgers had mushrooms on it. Lucky I checked the burger before eating it because I'm allergic to mushrooms. when I called to have the remake my burger again because of thier error, I was put on hold and when the manager person came on the phone she said they were closing at 7pm and were not going to make the burger again and that I can come back tomorrow to get a new burger. That is the worse customer service to provide. Considering they messed up my order in the first place which would have resulted in me going to the ER if I would have just started eating it. So now I have nothing to eat for dinner tonight but fries!!! I'm not going back tomorrow and don't plan to ever go back if this is how they treat their customers when they make food wrong.

I really love Five Guys. My first time was in Green Bay. Then they told me that I can find those guys here in Chicago. I didn't actively search for them but when we were done with our appointment and searching for a joint to grab a late lunch, Five Guys caught my eye. My sister and I had the little cheeseburger and Cajun fries to share. I asked the lady at the counter if the Cajun seasoning was spicy hot and she said no. Don't get me wrong, I love hot foods but my sister doesn't. So her first bite of fry and she was airing out her mouth. It's a little spicy I would say so if you don't care for spicy fries, stick with the regular fries. Burger was juicy and delicious although I'm not fond of the chopped onions, I prefer rings. It's all good though. Great tasting food, reasonably priced and pretty fast for fresh cooked. I'll be back for sure!

Yes gods, it is loud in here. Why is it so loud in here? The fries are greasy af,but crispy, too. Burgers are good, and can be had wrapped in lettuce, sans bun. Drinks come from one of those touch screen machines. Standard assortment of Coke products. Prices a little higher than expected. Paid street parking. Space is fairly clean, kind of cold, not at all crowded, and did I mention that LOUD music? Will return if I'm in the neighborhood and need greasy fries or a good (but overpriced) hunk o' beef.

They never put grilled jalapeños on my burger when I order through Uber Eats. Once could be an accident. When it happens multiple times it's laziness. And a lazy staff is an uncleanly staff.

Hell yes, this is an AWESOME place. The best fast food, hands down. Burgers are fresh; fries are fresh; the quality of their food is outstanding; staff is upbeat, hilarious, and a joy to be around; restaurant is clean and not freezing for temperature...even in the winter! And it has pretty comfortable seating, too. Highly recommend. Consistently great, completely worthwhile.

So I called a couple of Five Guys to ask them if they serve Halal Burgers because I heard a rumor that they have halal/kosher burgers. When I can, I prefer to eat Halal/ Kosher meat because I believe it is more healthy and purifying to our digestive track. Most people assume kosher or halal means that it is permissible by their respective religions but the practice of making a meat halal consists of killing through a cut to the jugular vein, carotid artery and windpipe. Which in turns, drains the blood of the animal in a specific type of way. Anyways, I called one Five Guy (not disclosing location but DM me to find out) to ask if the burgers are halal and the employee was like, "what that mean?" I wish I could have recorded the next three Five Guys I spoke to because the responses only got worse. As an employee of Five Guys, you should be knowledgeable when it come to the understanding of the type of meat served by Five Guys. The employees not only represent the company but also the products. Anyways, out of all the places I called, only this location knew to tell me that they do not serve halal or kosher hamburgers but that they do have kosher hot dogs. I appreciated their knowledge and their ability to answer my question quickly and precisely. We ordered two cheeseburgers, regular fries and a Oreo shake. I was drooling over the cheeseburger and the shake. The cheeseburger was SO good- I had grilled onions (finger licking good), tomatoes, lettuce and very well cooked burger meat. If it weren't for the calories, I would have gotten another shake. It was so rich and creamy, I really loved that the Oreo pieces were so big that they got stuck to the straw as you were grabbing a drink. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. The only reason I took off a star is because the bathroom was not top of the line.

Food was decent but the employee grilling burgers stared me down/attempted to intimidate me the entire time I was waiting for my food. Just before leaving he pointed at me and ran around the counter as if he was going to attack me. Felt completely unsafe and will not be returning to this location despite enjoying the food.

This place has gotten super skimpy on things. A bacon burger used to have a pile of bacon on it. Now it's just a piece of bacon broken in half. They used to dump more fries in the bag. Now it's just what fits in the cup. Those extras were how I justified paying what they asked for burgers and fries. Now you pay more and get less. I'm done with this place. It's such a waste of money.

Overpriced garbage. Burger was messy and grease flavor forward. Fries were styrofoam flavor foreword. $15 for burger and fries no drink. Staff was very friendly. Order was punched in incorrectly even after a second repetition. So mad I didn't walk out when I saw that the burgers were $9 each..

After surviving the entire day on a model's diet (literally) of 10 grapes, 4 - 2" squares of sandwich, a half bottle of water, and lots of booze, I was famished come 1am. Popped onto the Yelp Android App to see what was open and Five Guys became our next destination. The place is pretty straightforward. No decor outside of the Five Guys posters everywhere and bags of the potatoes, which I feel is a clever way to have storage out amongst the customers. So, remember I'm famished, right? Forget just a hamburger, give me cheese and bacon! Why this place rocks: All the free toppings you can get on your burger. Mayo, Relish, Onions, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Ketchup, Mustard, Jalapeno Peppers, Green Peppers, A.1.® Steak Sauce, Bar-B-Q Sauce, Hot Sauce. First ten toppings = all the way. I got my bacon cheeseburger all the way and it was all the way GOOD. The freshness was resounding. They have Gold Peak tea for those that feel their burger is enough calories on it's own, 4 different choices, as well as the usual soft drinks. My companions told me the fries were great, and from the way they were scraping the bottom of the cup the fries come in, I'm apt to believe them. I'm not on this part of Clark Ave often, but I would make an effort to return here when desiring a fresh quick straightforward burger while in the area.

I usually order a triple patty burger and the store often only provides two. They need to work on attention to detail...
