Can I rate 6 stars for service? Kenya was so cheerful and helped me craft the perfect burger! Glad she's in a customer-facing role. Taking good care of your employees, and they make the company look great.

The food was great but their chocolate shake was out of this world! I don't know what it is but it is deli-freaking-cious!!! I also noticed the place was really clean and it was because they were cleaning things. I haven't seen staff clean a place so much. Pretty impressive!!

Great burgers and they always give you more fries than you asked for. The Cajun powder on the fries was great.

Awesome burger. Grabbed the bacon cheese burger and added tomato, mustard, onion and ketchup. Amazing fresh burger taste best fast food burger I've had on this coast of the USA. The fries are easily the best fast food fries I've had anywhere. Of course they should be called chips but it's ok its an Aussie thing. Love that you can have free peanuts. Awesome diner feel with all the red and white. Great music selection, living the blues. The place is accessible with accessible rest rooms.

Five guys is known for their loaded fries. As the co-founder, Jerry Muller influenced, the loaded fries gives the feeling of “worth it” but this location is the opposite. They only serve enough fries that ONLY fit into the cup. They don’t load the bag with extra. I’ve ordered twice from this location and each time was a disappointment. I will never order from this location again.

Had my first ever five guys burger here and wow I’m a big fan. The freshness, flavours and textures of the burger was perfect. Cajun fries and vanilla milkshake were amazing!

The food was fine. But the lady with black clothes and hat she has zero customers service. The place need to be more clean especially tables.

I think Five Guys burgers are overpriced and I don't like how the foil wrapper makes the burger soggy. On the other hand, their Cajun fries are amazing. The frank and the bacon were perfectly grilled in the bacon dog. The hot dogs come with the same unlimited toppings as the burgers. Service here is friendly and the food comes out quickly. There's lots of seating in this location and the tables are relatively clean. They were playing 2000s alt rock over the stereo which gave a nostalgic feel 🤔

My experience at the Five Guys Burger in Union Square was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by pleasant music playing in the background, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was comfortably warm, a relief from the cold weather outside. The bustling yet cozy ambiance was filled with people chatting, enjoying their meals, and simply relaxing at their tables. Despite the presence of several customers, the line to place an order was manageable, especially considering it was around 11 o'clock in the morning. I was warmly greeted at the counter and my order was taken efficiently within just 5 to 10 minutes. When my order was ready for pick up, they called my name promptly. I collected our burger, shake, and fries, and I must say, everything was simply magnificent and delicious. The burger I had was one of the best I've tasted in a long time, truly exceeding my expectations. I would gladly return to Five Guys in Union Square in a heartbeat. Kudos to the staff for their exceptional service and the fantastic food quality. In conclusion, I look forward to my next visit to Union Square Five Guys. Keep up the great work, and thank you for providing such a wonderful dining experience.

Food is always consistent which ever Five Guys you go to. Burgers are always hot and fresh since they are cooked to order. Pro tip, always get a small fry if you are ordering fries. You get more than enough to share. Service at this particular Five Guys, fast and polite. Place is also well kept and clean. Loss of star is high price. Expensive for fast food restaurants despite the high quality. Definitely will go to Five Guys again

This location was alright. You get what you order and that's it. I came right before my appointment at sugaring nyc. I needed a quick little pick me up. I was not hungry for a full meal. I got a basic burger with lettuce tomato pickles and fried onion. Although more expensive than other fast food companies it was made fast and fresh. It was tasty.

Bacon burger with mushrooms, onions, and bbq sauce. And Cajun fries. My go to whenever I visit a Five Guys. But why is it so blah at this location? And the fries was just lukewarm. I seriously do NOT like cold fries.

sorry I was outside waiting for the bus every infront of this store and she's very rude the manager and I knows is closing time , there shouldn't be Any jumping and yelling saying there close with attitude to get in and also slamming the doors and has a nasty mouth . sorry but i as a former worker in the company you don't ac like that all I didn't like what I see . she needs to be better trained and everything . jumping like no reason . I'm watching this all from out side is like what that's crazy .. specially in 4th of July .

I got the Little hamburger ( which means 1 meat, not a double, less than $6.50)) which was juicy. There's like 15 FREE toppings! The fries (thick cut, ugh) are fried in peanut oil. So, BEWARE if you have a PEANUT ALLERGY. I wish they had thin fries cooked in any other type of oil besides peanut oil. Honestly, I don't understand why they use peanut oil since so many people are allergic to peanuts (including me).

This place is worth more than 3 stars, its more of a 4. The burgers tasted like any of the typical 5 guys, which is decent in terms of fast food burgers. I had the works on my bacon cheeseburger. The patties were juicy. Veggies were fresh. And most importantly, the bacon had some crunch! At the end, my hands were not dripping wet from the veggies, which is a good thing. That meant the veggies were dried before placed in their bins. Last thing i want is lettuce that is dripping wet sogging up my buns. So why the 4 stars, they were out on a few sodas. And the fries while hot and tasty, were a little limp. Needs more crisp (five) guys!

This is by far the most disgusting experience I've ever had with any fast food restaurant across the board. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger on Uber Eats and when I unwrapped the burger I found a foreign item (maybe a mushroom) with hairs attached to it that was pressed and wrapped into the bun. This is a major food safety issue and when I called the restaurant they didn't even ask for details of my order or apologize but told me to contact Uber Eats. I'll never be returning to this Five Guys and please CHECK YOUR FOOD before eating.

I was in here today after a long day. I just ordered the regular size French fries to go. Maybe 5 minutes later they were bagged and ready. I grabbed some pepper packets. The fries were thin but soft. Seasoned right.

Great teamwork from the staff to keep things moving and keep customers happy on a busy Friday night. There's also plenty of room to sit and enjoy the meal, which can't be said of other locations in the city. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and just need a good burger.

Didn't think I could spend $16 on two items without a drink...and I'll never be back. Had to wait 12+ min even at a slow time because they were "cleaning the grill."

I get of work and decide to go into five guys . Now I remember this place from a couple years back when they cared about there product! I visit the west 14 st location get 2 bacon cheeseburgers with everything. My paddies looked burnt and I see this guy preparing my burgers . This guys just throws what ever on it and didn't give me what I paid for. Bacon was like half a strip and he just wraps up the burgers , they looked disgusting but I was hungry and said what ever. I get home and this guy forgot to put the burnt partir on one burger and I get bun tomatoes and picked no lettuce no mayo NO PATTIE! The other one has a pattie but no bacon and no mayo ext... not worth it anymore!!! I spent 20.01 $ on crap!!! I want a refund !!!

I love five guys! One of the real solid chains for burgers. Ordered a little bacon cheeseburger as my usual with lettuce, grilled onions, pickles and ketchup and it was as good as always. All the toppings are free for five guys. Some other toppings include mushrooms, jalapenos, mayo, mustard, and others. What's also nice about five guys is that they give you free peanuts. Their Cajun fries are pretty good. They also sell hot dogs and sandwiches (like veggie and grilled cheese sandwiches) which nobody really pays attention to. I like how their burgers are ways fresh, made to order since each burger is customized to your liking. The patties are always juicy and not dry. Fries are also always hot and fresh. I don't think I can ever recall a time where I had cold fries. If you are looking for a solid customizable burger, definitely give five guys a try.

So I came in here to buy food and use the bathroom however the Asian manager was very nasty and refused my service it very unfortunate as I was very hungry and also had to use the bathroom but I would never spend money where ppl don't have great attitudes or service. I'd put less than one stat if allowed. Tbh were all in a pandemic ALL OF US it cost nothing to be courteous and kind

Five Guys is really unique in the sense that they do things differently from your usual "fast food" burger place. I've been to several Five Guys in the NYC metro area and they seem to be pretty consistent throughout (in my experience). I love that they have alllllllllllll those toppings! Though I feel like it could be updated to include some more variety. The burger I devoured was delicious as was the fries of course. I think I remember they used to ask how you like your burger done (?) but not completely sure. This particular location can get very crowded with lots of pubescent teens and homeless people. It sucks that while eating your burger you can sometimes see and smell homeless people come in and out the bathroom. I don't really like this location for that aspect but it's great for a straightforward meal.

Decent. Had it the first time after about 5 years, was a little disappointed I expected more. The double bacon cheese burger was good, a little under cooked. Fries were great at first then had a weird aftertaste. The strawberry milkshake was great. Didn't feel so great after too much oil and grease.

After our Argo Tea tradition, my friend was in the mood for burgers so we went here. I believe this is the first time I have ever been to a Five Guys but I'm not sure. The interior is all red and white checker walks and wooden tables and seats. It reminded me of the 1950s, the classic rock music over the speaker breaks that motif. However, I love classic rock so it was all good! We both got bacon cheeseburgers. He got his plain with a small fries and a coke. I got mine with green peppers and A1 Steak sauce, a regular Cajun fries and a vanilla root beer. I wasn't really blown away of the food. The burger was good but I was glad I put the steak sauce. It seemed like the burger would have been dry otherwise which my friend later confirmed. The green peppers added that essential crunch. What was good was that the burgers were double patties. The Cajun fries were good but, in hindsight, I should have gotten a small because the seasoning was a little much and I love my seasoning. I needed ketchup and my root beer to saturate the taste. Honestly, I don't see the big hoopla over it. It's a designer McDonald's or Wendy's with the designer prices to boot. I don't think I'll come again.

It took awhile for them to prepare an order of fries and it's not like they have to wait for it to be cooked. There are 5 employees and they were loud and pretty much fooling around. I could not even enjoy my food because they were laughing so loud. I can still hear them with my headphones.There were 3 people waiting to order and no one seems to care. Other than that the food was good and the extra star is for the food.

It's a really solid fast food burger. Bonus points for fries that are bomb (cajun fries may be the best thing on the menu) and all toppings are free. A "little" cheeseburger plus fries run $10. Burger = 2 patties, little burger = 1 patty (aka normal burger), everything else remaining the same size. Free peanuts are laid out in a 3 ft tall barrel for you to have. Its a tasty burger that anyone will enjoy. The interior is decorated like an old school diner. I can't see people raving about this burger, but it's very good.

Great burgers..., free peanuts....,fast service.... What else can i say? Oh yeah, they also have hot dogs....You can have regular fries or cajun style, both equally satisfying.

Not too much to say. It's your expected, typical 5 guys affair. Solid food, fast service. I really enjoy this location merely for its size. Its a large spacious area, and makes it comfortable to have some 5 guys in a large group. Only thing I wish is that this location had milkshakes! More 5 guys need milkshakes!!!

Five Guys is five guys... every one of them is mostly the same, so what can I say about this specific location? It is cleaner than all other locations I have been to. That may be due to excellent staff and work ethic, but I think it is more likely because this location is only a month old. This location has the good soda machines, you know, the ones with the touch-screens and flavors injection. Cherry-Vanilla Diet Coke? Yes Please! This location is pretty busy all the time, grabbing in commuters walking to and from Union Square. They are pretty well staffed, quick to get orders out and friendly. Foodwise, they taste the same as every other Five Guys, though I did notice a little bit smaller fry-spillover-factor.

I waited for much too long- everyone in front of me and several people behind me all got their food. When I asked about my meal, I was given a cold burger that didn't match my order. Very disappointed that this couldn't be fixed even after much patience. I've recommended this spot to many friends and visitors. I definitely won't going forward and certainly won't bring my business here. Wasted 10$ and more than 30 minutes

Loved their burgers. Their FF were not to my liking. The service was fast. Lots of combination to add to your burger. Charcoal cooked is a definite plus.

"They call it a little burger, but what they really mean is a normal burger." The menu at Five Guys is really straight-forward. You can get a hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger, or a bacon cheeseburger. Or, you can get the "little" version of them. For the "regular" burger you get two parties, and one for the little. Believe me, the little burger is enough!! I like to go all the way with my burger. Go hard or go home, right? All the way includes mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomato, ketchup, mustard, grilled mushrooms, and grilled onions. Choose as many toppings as you want for free. The Cajun fries are a must as well. They are extremely generous with their portions so I would recommend getting a small. However, no milkshakes at this location. They do have the cool touchscreen soda machines though. So many choices. Never knew choosing a soda could be so difficult. Five Guys is definitely my favorite fast food chain in New York for burgers. It's always satisfying, and I could go as far to say that I enjoy it more than Shake Shack. And, the wait is never as long.

Five Guys is wonderful. We didn't plan on eating from Five Guys here in NYC, as we have them back home. However, one evening, we were already back to our hotel and starving, and they were the only nearby place that delivered that late (besides pizza, but we'd just had pizza!). The food was delivered way before the time we were told, always a plus! Everything was delicious! The only thing missing was the drink we ordered, and drinks aren't cheap here! So that was kind of a bummer. Overall, we were very pleased.

This is my favorite fast food burger spot in Manhattan. Conveniently located on 14th St, Hubby and I stopped by for a simple lunch last weekend. I love that all the toppings are complimentary. Super generous portions of cajun fries that are perfectly done? Yes please! I also love how they have the special soda machines that mix up your drinks for you right there - so you have dozens of choices for flavors! Nice staff, clean place.

Love a greasy burger every now and again. Fries are great and abundant. My relatives enjoy eating a ridiculous amount of their free peanuts. When trying to avoid lines at restaurants i always go to fiveguys and am out in less than 20 minutes.

Five Guys has amazing real beef burgers and consistently delivers a tasty meal every time. Burgers are higher priced than the average fast food outlet but you definitely get what you pay for; tasty burgers and great customer service. Love the fact that toppings are free and unlimited but my favorite thing about Five Guys is the free AND unlimited roasted peanuts

I always love their burgers however I want it not over, not under just right juicy and delicious with whatever I wanted on it they has it. This location not what I'm use to a bit small but the reception and assistance was welcoming. The price steep but I guess that's what it is for the neighborhood.

This is what I have expected from Five Guys. The staff was really nice, and the food was hot, flavorful and timely. Thank you for your intervention. I'm glad to see that you rose above the concerns and addressed the problem - I'm sure many people will see great improvements and YES, you should receive kudos for all that was done.

First I have to say that this review is based on food not service. The customer service here was excellent. Everyone was attentive, polite and quick. So. What is the hype with five guys? I'm not understanding. I was expecting some insanely delicious burger given all of the awards Five Guys has. For me this felt like over priced fast food. It wasn't terrible but I was just expecting more for the all of the hype.

When it comes to burger joints, you will never go wrong with choosing Five Guys. I've visited several locations, and being a regular at this particular one I can say that they did not disappoint me. The cashiers up front are usually friendly and polite, even throwing in a joke sometimes. The place gets dirty very quickly (I mean, how can it not, it's a burger place), but I have to say, for my 20 minute stay today, I saw employees cleaning the floor three times. My only complaint is that this is the second time I visit and the men's restroom is out of service. I always get the small Cajun fries and the grill people are more than generous because you get almost an extra portion's worth in the bag. Not to mention the all-you-can-eat peanuts to your dispose. Great place! P.s. I always wondered what they have that malt vinegar for- is it the peanuts?

Five Guys burger and Fries in 14th between 5th and 6th is phenomenal. The burgers are delicious and the service is Friendly. Tedray and Patricia are very kind to the clients and serves them with hospitality.

Well, all the reviews I have received from friends, or rather friends of friends told me to eat here, So I did. First of all, I don't understand how can anybody love a burger that is only cooked one way. (and whether you like your burgers well done or not, that's how they're cooked!) Those hockey pucks are not worth eating. OK ok, so the fries are good. I said good, not great, but oh those burgers. If you can't have them the way you want them, why order? If you're scared of rare meat, make them at home, or whatever. I was up in Montreal and they have a fast food chain called Walters. You can actually order a rare burger, and the same concept as 5 guys.... you can have whatever you want on them. But at least you start out with something you know you already like. Sorry that all 5 of these guys like well-done meat!

I went to this location Monday afternoon.. My burger was ok, seared a little too hard for my liking to a point where the patties had a crust. Fries were ok. I guess they change the potatoes they fry because they didn't taste like how I remember. As I was eating they had someone (thought it was the health dept at first) but their garb doesn't look like what he had on. He was checking every single thing. He was a hefty white dude with a full beard and glasses in a uniform and a condescending attitude. He was giving orders to what I believe was the shift manager (dark skinned black dude). They were checking the cleanliness of the tables, temp of the burgers, even made em clean the fingerprints off of the glass door. All this disturbed my eating experience because they were literally everywhere. I didn't wanna be the irate customer who popped off in the middle of five guys

Food is just as good as any other Five Guys - delicious burgers, and scrumptious fries. The peanuts, like any other Five Guys restaurant, were also amazing. However, I have never met a stingier staff. They refused to provide more than one napkin. Five Guys burgers are not a very clean meal to eat. Grease, sauce, and other assorted food stuffs get everywhere. One napkin doesn't cut it... One star. I won't be returning to this location.

Stopped by here after grad school class. Decided to treat myself to a leisurely lunch before heading to my job. The burgers are good although undeserving of their cult-like status. As a native Californian, I'm partial to In-N-Out - better & cheaper. Still, it's decent. The fries are pretty good and they have a barrel of peanuts sitting around if you're into that sort of thing. The guy who took my order had really short teeth.

Pros: free peanuts in the shell, all burger fixins/toppings at no charge, price is fair. Cons: burgers are all well done and mine was a bit gristly. Id go 3 1/2 if yelp had that option.

First time eating this. Friendly staff. There were 6 people working but only two were actually working while the rest consulted a tray of fries. No biggie though. The cajun fries are good! Food was given to me very sloppy. The take out bag was full of grease, both inside and out. Fries were all over the place. When i opened my burger, it was messy and lopsided. Tomatos hanging on one side, bacon barely present, a glop of mayo-mixed lettuce, which made it hard to eat without getting all dirty. Not really impressed.

I find this to be one of the most friendly locations of this chain. My favorite item is the fries, which are fresh cut and freshly fried to order--some of the best in the city at any kind of restaurant. I actually am not a big fan of the burgers as they only come well done; I prefer the bacon cheese dog in all its fatty richness. I never hesitate to byob a beer when I see fit and this causes no issues.

To amend my first review. We relented and tried the place even with the well done meat. We found that you can top the sandwich with many, many free toppings and some for a moderate extra cost. This adds enough flavor and moisture to make an acceptable burger.

Grease in all its glory. Five Guys reminds me of a love child between McDonald's and In N Out. Love the soggy fries, though I realize it's an acquired taste, and all the burger toppings! Fries portions are incredibly generous, expect to wait 7-8 minutes for your order to be made.

Five Guys is expensive. Today I paid almost fourteen dollars for a bacon cheeseburger and small cajun fries. Not even a drink. Normally this is sad, possibly devastating. HOWEVER. Five Guys is DELICIOUS. Something about that burger was really delicious. And the fries were soo good. My only complaint is that I THINK they don't have a combo option - like fries,a burger and a drink for a discounted price. Maybe they did, but I couldn't find it on the menu. To me that just makes no sense.

5 stars for great food. At a great price point. Fantastic service! ( compared to NYC pissed off New Yorker standards. Yes, they even SMILE at you! Diego was a great help with this first diner.) Overall great experience. Burger toppings are ALL FREE. Yes. Free. At no extra cost. First burger joint I've seen that is that generous. Will definitely be returning! Thanks five guys!

Regardless of how busy this location is, the wait is never outrageous and the burgers are always good. I love that they automatically cook burgers to well-done. Pricey for a burger? Yes. Pricey for a burger considering their location in NYC? Definitely not.

Food is 3 stars, the cashier is 4 stars. The cashier was very amicable and helpful with me selecting the order. I purchased two double burgers and regular cajun fries. The double burgers were alright, but not as flavorful compared to the burger I had in Fresh Meadows. The vital difference was that the patty at this location was quite dry. In addition, the temperature of the whole burger wasn't high enough even though it was made a few minutes before. The cajun fries were kind of bland. I needed to dip them in the ketchup or else it would taste too dry in my mouth. All in all, it was an alright experience. The store was clean and had good lighting. However, if I would go to a Five Guys again, I would go to the one at Fresh Meadows.
