Delicious Chinese food and great service! We got pork dumplings, tofu spinach wraps, and sliced noodles. A new favorite spot for me and I'll be sure to come back when I'm in the neighborhood!

Great lunch option if you are around the area. Food is inexpensive and the staff is friendly. Plenty of room for large group and there's a variety of food options available. Willing to customize to taste. Had the beef noodle soup. Soup is on the spicy side. Noodles is average but the highlight got to be the beef. It is tender and soft. Serving size is large for Asian stomach though.

Big portions and delicious. The price for each dish is very reasonable. However some dishes are a bit salty for me.

Wonderful service, even better food. Every time I'm here I have to order the same item: ham with tofu knot clay pot soup. (Jan du xian in Mandarin.). This soup is slightly opaque, almost milky in appearance. It's about taste, umami, and texture. This place does it right - each & every time! // Just had the braised sea cucumber for the first time. That was heaven! A large portion. Never seen it that size anywhere else. No comparison. 1st it's rare to see it offered at restaurants, 2nd they may not have in stock, 3rd often served significantly smaller ones, 4th not cleaned well, 5th braised superbly, 6th served in a sauce that complemented the sea cucumber in its perfection. It was an immortal treat. The chefs here are true masters. I'm not worthy!!!

This place is great! It's much nicer inside than the exterior signage/view would suggest. The inside is large, clean and had a nice casual dining atmosphere. The staff was extremely cordial and attentive without being overbearing. Perfect service. The prices are reasonable and the portions large. (For example, my plate of chicken fried rice was approximately $10.00 and could feed 2, maybe 3 adults that's coming from a 225lb man.) The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. The large, clean interior coupled with the large portions and good prices would make this a great place for a large family get together, retirement party or other types of group dining. I highly recommend Five Happiness.

Friendly staff, good food. As a Taiwanese I’m always on the hunt for legit Taiwan breakfast foods. Loved their sticky stuffed rice ball (飯糰) which was smaller in size than what I’m used to but quality was great. Also enjoyed their soy milk which was not too sweet. Their fried bun (銀絲卷）was super crispy and delicious too. Prices are great, I’ll be back.

Busy little restaurants with good Taiwanese food

We had a family meal for 2 and it was delicious. The price was right, people were nice, servers were always checking to make sure you have everything you need. After we finished our meal they expediently brought us our check so we were able to leave when we were ready. They served very sweet oranges for dessert. I had a pleasant experiencex and highly recommend Five Happiness restaurant.

I got the cha siu pork cheek and cha siu to go. Both are great! The cha siu wasn't fatty, but was still soft, which is a BIG win! The pork cheek is smokier, a bit fatter. Also delicious! I'd definitely come back for cha siu!

Since I didn't find any payment info, I went to the bank for some cash before meeting my friend in the restaurant. It turns out you can pay by credit card if the bill is $30 or over and you pay 3% of the card transaction fee. I ordered a roast duck wonton egg noodles and shrimp dumplings. My friend ordered the veggies egg noodles with chicken feet dim sum. The wontons were pretty big. They served me six cut pieces of roast duck and two of them had only skin and no meat. The egg noodles were ok. There were lots of veggies in my noodles. The shrimp dumplings (ha gow) were pretty small and one of the shrimp was not completely deshelled. My friend liked her veggie egg noodles which she only ate half and took the other half home. She also finished the chicken feet. I personally think the roast duck and wonton noodles are better at Lam Hoa Thuan in Sunset. The service staff was fast and courteous and the restaurant seemed popular. There was a full house during lunch hour when we were there.

Came with friends for an afternoon snack. Each ordered a dish and shared. 3 people but had a lot of leftovers. Fried Tofu, beef Chow fun dried and Singapore fried rice noodles. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Food came out hot and tasty. Enjoyed!

Returned again recently for the warm and friendly service and huge variety of menu items. We tried several new items, but the tastiest items on this visit were the Special Order of Tomato Beef Crispy Pan Fried Noodles, Salted Fish Fried Rice and Fish & Tofu. Portions continue to be quite large which is great for lunch and/or dinner the next day! YAY! :0)

Had their BBQ Pork Buns to go, and service was The buns itself were slightly dry, but the meat inside was tasty, and the buns were soft.

It's cash only unless you spend $30 or it's like a 3% extra charge for card under $30. I got the 3 different kinds of meat and an order of rice for $21 cash. Portions are large. Usually places only offer 2 kinds and sometimes won't have the crispy pork. This place had it all and even has seating inside. Parking is always difficult in this area.

Feel like it's good to okay value at 15.75? Nothing too special - duck pieces were too meat and the cha siu pieces weren't particularly juicy but they weren't dry either. Restaurant was dead at 5pm on a Sunday but it probably one of the cleaner if not the cleanest restaurant in the area. I feel like they do more catering/ take out orders than not. I'd probably order again from them esp for their canto bbq but that's mostly bc the restaurant feels cleaner than the others in the area. Don't know if taste or value is really comparable.

Since it was HH on DD and I've been wanting to try this spot, we decided to check it out. I got one of each meat they offered and tried their pei dan sau yuk juk. The hubs wanted a soup and carbs, so he added the rest of the items. The bbq meats meats were pretty good. Tho the empress chicken pieces we got were small and we got a lot of the butt / ends of the bird. The spareribs were kinda the same. Small and not meaty. Otherwise, the duck, soy chicken, and other two porks were a normal portion. The jook was okay. Not much flavor. I added more seasoning and another century egg to make it more savory. Other than the soup, most of the stuff the hubs ordered was not very good. The egg rolls were mushy inside. Why, we couldn't figure out. It was almost like they were filled with a paste. The chow mein was also sour. We couldn't figure that out either. I don't think it was bad as in spoiled, but we did throw this away. The chow fan was fine. Just very bland. I'd say stick to the meats and the congee and stay away from the fried rice and noodles. Glad we tried this during HH so we saved some cash. REVIEW #3714

Ordered via Doordash for pickup. I order a whole roast duck. When I checked the order at the restaurant, I noticed the duck was plated rather messily in the box, but I did not consider the significance of it until I got home. The fact is, some pieces were missing. I ordered a whole duck, and just like a puzzle, you should (can) reassemble it. I suspect they combined leftover duck pieces from previous orders to make up mine so it would look "whole". That would save them from carving up a whole duck. Now, if this were a Too Good To Go order, I would understand since the idea is to minimize food waste, but this was a direct order for a full entree, so I expected a full entree. I felt a bit cheated. Flavor-wise, it was decent. Just be wary and check your orders.

This is a sit down restaurant, but they do takeout and that's what I got. It looks like they specialize in different meats, as you can see from the reviews. But they also have a full menu that looked interesting. This is a very authentic place. I didn't see a single white person in there. That usually means service that isn't up to the standards of some diners, very affordable food, and freaking AWESOME Chinese food. For $15 I got a big plate of food that included 2 meats, rice and basic steamed cabbage. I came at noon and the place was mostly empty. The meat was pretty cold, which could mean it was yesterday's meat or it could just be how things go when you have meat hanging by the window. Either way, it was delicious. I probably wouldn't come here as a dedicated trip, there are other takeout places nearby that have a variety of vegetables to choose from. But I plan on coming back for a sit down meal soon.

Formerly Five Happiness Restaurant, now it's a Chinese BBQ takeout & restaurant. Recently opened and newly renovated. You can do take out or eat in. We recently tried both. Firstly, the BBQ meats like roast duck, BBQ pork and Crispy roast pork are great. We also heard the roast chicken was great too but we haven't tried yet. It's also a tad less expensive than the prices on Clement St. A huge deal because of these inflation prices. Secondly, maybe they are still new and trying to find their sea legs, but their dim sum are not that great. Very thick skins and some of the dim sum tasted off. There are so many other dim sum spots on Clement that we would not recommend them for now unless you are adventurous like we were. Had good experiences doing takeout BBQ lunch plates and also gotten a whole roast duck (under $30) for visiting family, so we recommend that. Service was friendly and the ambiance lively. 3.5 stars rounding up. Conveniently located by the 38R and 38 bus stop on Geary Blvd and 6th Ave; next to the KFC/Taco Bell.

Service good, we ordered three items together cost almost $20, we would better pay more for 2x two items rice plate!

Primarily directed towards the multiple item bbq combo over rice - Do not order the char siu here! You will get stale old pieces. Not sure if it's because I ordered through Ubereats and they needed to offset their fees by giving garbage parts, but this is unacceptable. If I wanted beef jerky, I would go to 7-eleven. They really skimped on the other meats too, so really suspecting the delivery orders get the low quality parts. Unfortunately, would not recommend this item unless you like to gamble on your food quality & portions. Other dishes I have tried are fine, but the combo rice plate is incredibly inconsistent (char siu) so cross your fingers if you are ordering this for delivery.

The roast pork was delicious. The skin nice and crispy. The meat was well seasoned. The bbq pork aka char siu was also good. We also had egg plant and clay pot chicken. The egg plant was just so-so. I did not like the clay pot chicken at all. It was not flavorful. But I'm giving this restaurant four stars because of the roast pork and bbq pork and friendly staff. Will be back to try their soy sauce chicken.

Classic chinese no-frills joint offers hearty portions of classic Chinese BBQ. I always find it's a good sign to see a butcher's counter showing peking ducks & chicken hanging by the windows. My favorite was the rice rolls. Street parking only.

My Chinese family has come in for take out and sit down several times at this newly opened restaurant this year. Some dishes have been better than others. This afternoon we had the roast pork with bean curd and oyster $19.99, bitter melon sparerib over rice $10.99 and seafood pan fried noodles $13.99. Everything was delicious! For take out, we usually get the roast pork. Nice ambience. If you dine in and get a card stamped four times, you'll get a free item. Nice incentive. Street parking. We'll return to try other dishes.

It was just to buy some Chinese roast duck for take out. It was at a quiet time of day, so I could chat briefly with the young man who cut up my roast duck, while he got it ready. The place had been recommended to me by another Chinese fellow who knew the area. I'm glad I went there because the duck and the friendly take-out service were both excellent and I didn't have to wait in a long line.

The service could be improve the tea is Luke warm not even Hot the rice is all so Luke warm the rice roll soy sauce is from the fridge this is the 2nd time we been here the waiter will being 1 item at a time to the table if you have a big party just an ( FYI ) I personally would not recommend this place ..... try to order something they said they ran out of that item till latter that day the Dim Sum seem to be frozen

Solid Chinese restaurant in Richmond. Logos amount of indoor seating as well as a butcher for taking meats or ordering food to go. The bathroom is clean, service and food comes out quickly. House Cheung Fun - 4.5/5 * I enjoyed the texture of the rice noodles as they were very soft and paired well with the sauce provided. * The addition of the runny egg and chili oil tasted great! * Large portion for the price but wish it came with a bit more meat Preserved egg and pork congee - 4/5 * A bit watery for my liking but had a nice flavor, lots of pork and preserved egg, pretty good sized portion overall and came out hot Char Siu & Duck - 4/5 * The char siu was good and thinly sliced * Duck is solid but you can get better duck somewhere else in SF

The crispy skin roast pork at LH is chef's kiss. So good! Their salted fish chicken fried rice, wonton noodle soup, and rice plates are also excellent. Delicious food and generous portions! I'm so happy to have LH in the neighborhood.

When we came to eat here, we were the only table. We have eaten here multiple times and the food is great. I mean, really good. It's beyond me why there's so few customers. Maybe people don't know that this restaurant is located here. Everytime we come to eat here, there's always space. Which is great for me. I'm sure when words gets around, more and more people are going to come eat here. I recommend it if you like Chinese food.

Came back for bbq pork. At 9 am, they were bringing all the delicious meats out. Their whole duck costs $30. Enjoyed their simple dim sum menu. Chicken feet had a spicy kick (get it? A kick?). It was a bit sweet. The salted egg lava bun was good. Bittermelon rice roll but not really folded in but garnished as was the liver rice roll, more like sprinkle over. Siu mai was huge, four. HK tea was $3. Everything is reasonably pricedhere. Good portions. Great service meaning, you yell out in Cantonese, and they will come.

We came here for lunch. This place is new and remodeled. Restaurant is clean. Service is prompt. I ordered the bbq pork roast pork combo over rice. The roast pork was crispy and done right. Not too salty. Bbq pork has a nice balance of sweet and savory. Meat wasn't overly fat. Portions huge. Credit card if you spend over $35. They also have take out deli counter

Great customer service! The guy behind the counter physically pulled down the ducks at my eye level so I could pick my duck! Awesome place! Give this restaurant a try :)

First time having dinner here. I remember this used to be the old Five Happiness Restaurant, another Chinese place. Food was delicious, as I had the Stew Pork Belly Pot with a bowl of rice. A bowl of soup was also served. When I paid my tab, I put down my debit card, but the server asked if I have cash. Why? I read here credit cards are accepted, right?! I hesitantly paid in cash! Ugh.

I didn't believe in my eyes when I saw their menu because the price of the food is low compared with other places. I suggested my mom to try this place yesterday. We ordered the Pig Liver, Cheung Fun, Bitter Melon Cheung Fun, and the Three Items Choice: roasted duck, bbq pork and roasted pork. For the Cheung Fun itself is soft, but not slippery and chewy. They should put less water in it. Also, the soy sauce needs to be more sweet. The soy sauce on the table is not meant for Cheung Fun at all. The portion of the food is pretty generous. Customer service definitely failed. Three staff members working, one guy and two girls. Most of the time the guy is the one running around front and back, but the two girls just stood there, day dreaming. Also for the bbq pork section, they serve the to go customer first and we had to wait for him until he finished cutting the bbq for them. Overall, the experience was okay.

Only tried their BBQ stuff & was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered their Fat Chasiu (as told to me by the cashier), the roasted pork belly (siuyok), & their roast duck. They were all really really good. The chasiu was flavorful yet not overly sauced. The siuyok skin was crispy, meat was juicy & flavorful, & the fat to meat ratio was perfect. The duck was equally tasty. I was glad their version was not overly greasy like some other places. Can't wait to come try other items on the menu.

I had Roast Duck rice plate for lunch $12. Included Egg Drop Soup w/Corn and hot tea. Soup was not warm enough, but Duck was excellent! Also came with a side of sautéed cabbage, but the veggies were also lukewarm. Would return, and hope for warmer food as decor is fine, and price can't be beat.

Very good Chinese BBQ style roasted items, paricularly the roasted pork, duck and ribs. The skin of the roasted pork is so crispy and the meat is not salty and overspiced like In other BBQ places. The rolled noodles (cheung fun) are great too, especially the ones with cilantro. They are very generous with the quanity of cilantro rolled in the rolled noodles. The ones with pork and beef are great too. My family tried their Singapore noodles and stir-fried ho funs with beef and they are awesome. Dim-sums are not that great, guess that they order the dim-sums somewhere and reheat to serve. Ordered a bowl of noodle soup with cha siu and wontons. The wontons are too big and just pork with no shrimps in filling. They are not typical wontons. cha siu tasted a bit sweet but not honey-glazed. And the soup is plain in taste. Portion of noodles is big though. Just wish that they give more vegetables. The restaurant is still new, I give extra time for them to improve workflow and service.

We tried this restaurant on a Sunday evening. Service was fine and quick enough. Overall the prices are reasonable. The spicy dishes and porridge were disappointing so I'd skip those. However the other dishes and the roast duck made the meal enjoyable. I plan to return to try some other bbq deli meat and other traditional Cantonese dishes. We were walking by and saw the Grand opening. The place was packed on a Wednesday night. There was bbq items / roast pork, roast duck, and chicken hanging up inside. We decided to give them a try. There were also a few people waiting for their takeout orders inside. The service was friendly but a little slow. I think they will work out the kinks since this was only their second day opened. Now for the food: 1. The bbq items - roast pork was crispy and very yeast. Soy sauce chicken was very moist and was my favorite. 2. Eggplant string beans were a huge portion and had good wok hay. 3. House special noodles was our least favorite of the night. Was expecting some seafood and the gravy was a little runny. Overall, we plan to go back to try some other dishes and their small dim sum menu as well.

- Roast duck was good - #65 Beef with mushrooms & String beans was good - Fried Oysters was not good. Chewy - #44 Shredded chicken was very good except I wish carcass was not included. Service was pretty Good Prices were very inexpensive. This place is more like comfortable food with great price and service. I wish they have more dishes for family styles dining. Maybe they will since this is like soft opening..

Food clean, fresh. Service excellent and they speak good English..lol. newly remodeled, comfortable, open, decent-good prices. 5* for this category/level of inexpensive quick eats. My neighborhood so will be back!

It was amazing the cantonese food!! If you have haven't tried authentic cantonse cuisine rice noodles, dimsum. So soft and hearty!! Really recommend this spot, and the ambiance is quiet but cute dine in spot.

This spot is perfect for breakfast. My friend took me there and I love their porridge so much. We ordered a rice roll for each of us and we share the porridge, chinese donut and the pot sticker. It's always chill in San Francisco and this is perfect to warm you up in the morning! Staff are friendly, serve tea and utensils right away. Refill the tea in time. Check on us during dine-in. Really nothing to complain. They also have tv with news on so we can see what's going on around the world at the moment. I love how chill it is here.

New Opening Hong Kong Style BBQand Dim Sum, hometown style food Food looks amazing ，good to try

Came in on a Friday night, it was empty, so I had doubts, but it looked like they do a lot of take out. Sat down and we ordered a half duck, Japanese tofu with three kinds of mushrooms, tofu with salted fish clay pot, creamed corn over fish filet, and a beef with egg chow fun. Everything was tasty, but hands down the duck was the star. Staff was friendly and fast. Prices are also a bargain for 2024 and a little cheaper than any sit down Chinese food you'd find on Clement. Definitely going back.

I'm giving a 4 star because they are trying and very nice and I understand they just opened for service. Service: very disorganized and don't think they've ever been in the restaurant business but very nice and kept apologizing. Food: Beef chow fun: tasty except it very hard and unable to chew it 3.8 Wonton noodles: soggy noodles and a tiny small shrimp in the wonton 3.0 Beef rice roll: very thin and good 4.0 BBQ items: tasty 4.0 Unfortunately food was cold as we waited awhile for the food to come. They are not good at remembering what was ordered and had to keep reminding them Overall

Chanced on this place when walking by. They have a huge menu from porridge, noodles, lunch & dinner dishes. Ultimate Chinese comfort food. The prices are reasonable and portions are quite big! Will be back next time!

Like them. I'm a regular here. The slow service some complained about was just a first week thing. Looks like that got that in order

Both the fattiness and taste of the roasted pork are very well balanced. It was only $16 for 1.2 pd, very reasonable. I look forward to its stirred-fried dishes. 燒肉的肥與咸度都意外的適中，又價錢公道，值得一試。我期待試它的小炒點。

Great food with great prices but waiting time is way too long for inside dinning or take out. It seems the way employees are organized has a lot to do with long waiting time. If take out for BBQ stuffs took more than 5 minutes then there's something wrong, it took 20 minutes to prepare my BBQ take out.

Straight to the point. The guy cutting the meat had a bit of an attitude with lady taking my order. I ask for two item combo plate with soy sauce chicken and bbq pork over rice and cabbage. The butcher guy gave me soy sauce chicken wings that were already cut. I didn't want that I wanted chicken that was freshly cut and has a mix of the breast wing and thigh. He argued with the lady taking my order then proceeded to make what I ordered. I didn't have cash so the lady said there is a 30 card dollar min limit. So I was charged extra. Anyway I get home to eat. The chicken was terrible. Barely any meat on any of the pieces. I felt like I was give given leftovers like a f###ing dog and the bbq pork was dry and hard. Tasted more like Chinese sausage which is good but this isn't Chinese sauce this is char siu. I will never go back to this place. They messed up to because I eat a lot of Chinese food and I will tell everyone I know about great restaurants and dishes. Anyone reading this review save your money. Or go to Clement bbq a few blocks away call " Clement Bbq". Oh yeah the hood thing about the restaurant was the cabbage. The cabbage was delicious. Not picture worthy

Noodle soup with BBQ duck and/or BBQ pork is amazing delicious! The Singapore style fries noodles was perfect for me, but will not be spicy enough for others.

My friends and I ordered this through Ubereats TWICE during our trip to SF. It was very close to the place that we were staying at and the food was so good! We got the beef fried twice two nights in a row because it was so yummy. Really good portion size for the price as well.

My husband and I stoped in to try this new neighborhood restaurant and were rewarded with a very fine and ample dinner. We had half a duck which was tasty and juicy after separating from the skin and veggie chow fun which my husband enjoyed. I had the delicious steamed shrimp with noodles but only made a dent in the large serving along with an order of fresh al dente broccoli with garlic sauce. We will be enjoying the left overs for another day.

What a delicious wonderful experience! The service was so great and the roast pork was crunchy, juicy and delicious. The bbq pork was roasted to perfection and the price was just right. I also enjoyed the roast duck which evidently is a family secret recipe and is unbelievably delicious... the absolute best Can't wait to come back again.
