What a great experience being a member there. The service is top-notch, the wings are outstanding, and of course the golf is very enjoyable. My family was treated so well and we always look forward to spending time at this five iron. Justin and Gwen, as well as everyone else, are the best!

Visited the five iron at the loop in Chicago. Fantastic staff. We had minor problems with our simulator but the staff took care of us to make sure everything worked properly! Highly recommend five iron at the loop Chicago!

The staff at Five iron is top tier. Always smiling and at your service Mary was our bartender and she was cheerful and customer friendly. Exceeded our expectations by far would highly recommend if you need somewhere to golf! Will definitely be coming here again

I would highly recommend getting a lesson with Sean Bready at the Five Iron loop location. In just three lessons he changed my game dramatically and let me enjoy golf that much more. I can now hit the ball at least 20 yards further a shot while hitting it significantly straighter. He listens to you and guides you to the right mechanics!

I've been a member since September and started working with Coach Sean Braedy about 2 months ago. He has been a fantastic coach and really great to work with. He works within your individual swing and can tailor his teaching approach for your goals and learning preferences. He has been very assecible and always willing to give tips and talk things out between sessions. Highly recommend the 5i membership and if you are looking for coaching Sean and the 5i team are hard to beat.

I joined 5i as a member because I wanted to be more serious with my golf game. The simulators are excellent and provide amazing data to improve your game. Most importantly, lessons with Sean B have make me play at a superior level in a matter of weeks. I really enjoy spending some time at 5i. Justin and Mary are great. They take service very seriously and are great people to talk with

Just finished a Callaway Tour driver fitting with Sean Bready at 5 Iron Golf in the Loop. Highly recommend you work with Sean. He's very personable, incredibly competent, and only interested in finding you the best combination of shaft and head. Unlike many fitting studios, he doesn't try to steer you into a more expensive shaft --- in fact, the combo we settled on together was a stock offering. If you're a member, currently you can even get a fitting with Sean for free, although I'd still recommend him if there's an upcharge. As for the staff at 5 Iron in general, it's one of the most welcoming groups I could imagine. Customer service is 5 star: I always feel as soon as I enter that I'm at one of my golf homes/refuges during the long Chicago winter.

Good space which is centrally located downtown. Access this location from the CTA which run under the building. Came for work related social event. Played a game with our golf pro assisting. Food was good. Enjoyed sliders, fries and macaroni cheese bites. For drinks enjoyed the Moscow mules and Malbec Wine. Wine comes in can and is a generous pour. Enjoyed my time here and it was fun exploring experience.

Unfortunately, I never made it into Five Iron. I reached out to group reservations to reserve space for 17 people for a work outing. Heather Y. was very responsive and helpful and helped me to move quickly through the process of setting up this work event (or so I thought). Before finalizing the payment, I had to get clearance from my director. Heather and I had been discussing that payment needed to be made to guarantee our spot, so shortly after emailing with her, I made the payment in full. I reached out to her on Monday (holiday for some) to see if we could move our time up by 30 minutes and to inquire about how to place our food order. I didn't hear back on Monday, so I followed up with another email today (Tuesday). I was told that our reservation was not valid because although we paid, we didn't sign the contract. When I explained to Heather that I felt it her responsibility to tell me what the next step was, because in our email exchange, the focus was all about making a payment to secure the reservation, she went on to explain that another group called through Customer Service and booked our time slot, and the company prioritized that reservation over mine through events. While she admitted this shouldn't have been done, she also told me very clearly that there was nothing she could do but move us to another location and cover our travel expenses. During the time of day, it would take what is typically a 15 minute drive, 30-45 minutes, which would not work for us. She then asked me if I wanted to cancel and receive a refund. There seemed to be little consideration for the fact that I had 17 execs expecting to convene here tomorrow. My frustration was also that she didn't take responsibility from the start, but tried to blame me, until I pushed back. I'm disappointed in how this was handled. I'm waiting for a callback from someone else, but definitely plan to put this on my "blacklist" of businesses to avoid.

Justin was incredible! Customer service was on another level today. Checked in frequently and got us our food and drinks quickly. We will be back!

This was a fun spot to visit on a cold night. They have several golf bays which you reserve online, for small or large groups. They also have a bar seating area you can hang out in before or after your reservation. The technology works well, the environment is relaxed and fun, and my fiancé and I enjoyed ourselves. We got drinks and a few snacks during our 2 hour bay reservation. The rental price for a bay is a little steep if you don't go with a larger group, but no terrible. Of course the downside to going with a larger group, is that though you pay less per person you get less play time for each person. Staff were nice and helpful, but my only complaint is that our reservation was supposed to start on the hour, but the group before us was finishing up a game and we didn't end up getting onto the bay until about a quarter after, which is fine, no problem, but then when our time slot was coming to an end, we were rushed off and told we couldn't finish the game we were in, and actually were kicked off the bay a few minutes before our reservation technically ended. So sort of annoying how that went and we ended up missing out on time we paid for since we got on late and were booted off early.

Food was not the best and there's not much to choose from. It's pricey but expected for the area. The golf simulator was fun, had different games which was perfect for beginners that don't want to play a course.

Litterally stood and waited 10 minutes to get helped. Half empty and employees saw us and walked by. We had never been so was like maybe we have to go to the station so we did and got set up and waited and only then did someone come over and said we can't do that... -100000000000 stars

Catching up on Yelp reviews as it's been a minute... Alright Frankie, fair warning this will be a pretty long review because there are multiple things to discuss (intro, play golf pitch, lessons, reserving bays, dining, closing)... Five Iron (5I) Golf is New York based and they are spreading their footprint nationwide. They have had a location in River North for a few years now, they just opened this location in Block 37 back in December, and they are opening a new location in Lincoln Park too. The place is very modern as it's brand new and all of the locations have state of the art golf technology with their SkyTrak simulators with over 100 different courses and a driving range. There are 11 bays, a putting green, full bar, and kitchen at this location. I must say the technology is one of the most accurate thing I have ever seen and the statistics/video technology is mind blowing. So kudos! I have been playing golf since my Dad got me into it at a young age, but it never really became a passion of mine until around high school. IMO, it's the greatest sport in the world as it not only challenges you as it's one of the toughest sport in the world to master, but it teaches you about morals, life in the real world, and a whole bunch of other perks. Not going to lie, but I suck at golf... Golf is hard folks! However, I am better than average and now I am committing time/practice to the game as I started up lessons with Kyle H. at this location. Kyle has been absolutely spectacular so far, the best coach I have ever had, and I think I am making some big progress with his help!!! I just need to commit time to practice more. I think the price of lessons are actually a good value given the great instruction of Kyle and the technology, specifically the video technology so you can watch your swing and it shows you how to improve your swing as you can see what you need to do better. Let's dig into how 5I works and you can find everything on their website, but here are my thoughts with my experiences. You reserve bays and lessons all online and I highly recommend booking at least 3 days in advance (more like a week), especially on weekends as it fills up fast. Good luck trying to find reservations a few days in advance during prime times as there are only 11 bays and I learned with the River North location so I assume it's the same way as there are a lot of golfers in Chicago. But I have never had an issue with booking a few days in advance for weeknights before 7pm. Costs are based on peak reservations (majority of the time) and non-peak reservations (think noon on a weekday). Playing hookey from work and golfing would be the life! I believe club rentals are included in the reservation prices, but most people bring your own. Not going to lie, reserving a bay is expensive ($65/hour peak and $50/hour non-peak). So golfing with a group is the way to go. However, if you are a serious golfer, want to play 18, and keep costs down, I would highly recommend limiting it to 2-3 players with similar skill levels and pace of play. With my average high 90s scores, it takes about 2 hours to play 18 for me and my buddy of similar skill level. Obviously the better you are or faster at pace of play, you can play faster and keep costs down. Food is solid overall, think standard bar food. Nothing spectacular, but it's above average to great. It's very comparable to a Whirlyball/TopGolf food experience. Meals are decent portions and prices are rather cheap actually. Sliders were great! Nachos were good. Flatbreads are ok, crust was a little dry. Beers, cocktails, and drinks are fair prices. Shout out to Joey, the bartender as he is great and always fun to talk to! Overall, I think 5I is a great addition to Chicago! I think their entire staff is good and their company mission is to help grow the game. That is definitely a good thing! Costs are expensive, but the game of golf is expensive in general. Hopefully for this review, you don't get the wrong impression of me being cheap. IMO I am not cheap, I am just a frugal guy (very) and I am very passionate at where my hard earned money goes. But in the end, if you want to play golf or are a beginner and want to learn how to play then definitely check out 5I golf!

This is the tenth location in the world and the second one here. This is a little bigger than the original one in River North (see my review on that) because it has locker rooms but still has eleven sim's like the original.

We hosted an event last night at Five Iron. Jack Osborne was our point of contact. The event was well managed by Jack, more importantly the level of service and attention to detail was incredible. Jack went above and beyond to make sure that all of our guests had a great time. I would highly recommend hosting an event at Five Iron. Thank you, Jack!

The beers are extremely expensive and this was quite possibly the worst 4 song playlist I've ever heard. It kept playing over and over and over again. Terrible

We hosted our work Holiday Party for 25 people at Five Iron and everything was great! From beginning to end everything went incredibly smoothly. Jack Osborne was our event contact and was there the entire night. He did everything from helping us get set up on the golf simulators to running food. The entire staff at the River North location was so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend hosting an event at Five Iron.

Hosted a private event here. Loved everything about it. BEAUTIFUL inside, top notch and friendly service, high quality food and drink choices, and a super fun and casual indoor golf experience. Guests could choose between hitting balls on the driving range to playing a bunch of different world-class courses. Highly recommend this place for a fun impromptu get together or more planned out private event.

I frequent 5iron on 108 N state street in the loop. Absolutely incredible location. I wanted to give a personal shoutout to two people. Michael Jensen and Joe. They are one of kind. Friendly and very easy-going. Please ask for them when you go in. They will take care of you.

Five Iron and their staff are outstanding! We hosted a group of nearly 50 kids and parents from First Tee - Greater Chicago, and they made us feel right at home. Couldn't be happier the experience. Their team is awesome!
