I came here to buy halibut for my husband’s birthday. Little did I know it was going to be one of my favorite places to buy food. He told me it was the best halibut he’s ever eaten. We have also discovered their sushi. It is so fresh and delicious. This place is a hidden gem – perhaps hiding in plain sight, but for anyone who loves fish and sushi, it is a must visit. My kind thanks to our sushi chef, who made sushi on the spot for us.

It's finally open! Check out the scallops (in the photos) - they are legit. Look how thick they are! Their to-go sushi is very tasty as well and a good number of pieces per order. Nice variety, too. All their fish are very fresh. Workers are very friendly as well. Glad to see they're open and fresh seafood in our area.

We love going here for sushi grade tuna. Quick and easy to pick up and they are always very helpful with answering questions about their products.

Visited this fish market with my mom, and the first thing they said when we walked in was, “We don’t sell fried fish.” As a Black person, this was extremely disrespectful and offensive. Making that assumption the moment we walked in reinforces racist stereotypes and shows bias based solely on our appearance. No one should be profiled or spoken to that way. Very disappointed……

The seafood is superb and the service is impeccable. We go here for sushi grade items: salmon, scallops, tuna, uni, etc. Jeff is a great manager. He literally remembers every customer.

I love this addition to the neighborhood. I went here yesterday hoping to buy a Branzino for a seafood dinner--the person at the counter was very knowledgable about seafood and how to prepare the different fish they offered. I ended up buying and cooking the most delicious black sea bass instead, based on his recommendation. I was SO happy with the quality of fish and the advice. Would highly recommend this shop.

It's a very modern fish shop with a beautifully laid out display of fresh fish, sushi, prepared sauces, cold and hot soups, and other nibbles. You can get lobster dinners and more.

I love this place because their staff Trevor is AMAZING!!! I couldn't have been happier when my order of 18 Oysters on a half shell arrived at my bedside and I enjoyed them with one of my favorite people on the planet. But none of it would've happened without the amazing ability of Trevor, who handled my numerous calls and took care of everything perfectly. He rocked! I'm sure the place is great, with great food and cool people. I'll have to stop in next time!!

Amazing fish market beautiful fish with very knowledgeable people who know above the diversified fish as well as the food to go. Purchased beautiful fresh tuna which was grilled at home OMG it was exquisite melted right in your mouth so darn delicious. Also purchased some salmon sushi rolls extremely fresh with a lovely blend of of veggies and fruit ( mango, carrots, cucumber, etc.) The establishment was clean, free of any fish odors or hazard material. I am truly looking forward to purchasing some more fish from this market in the future amazing.

Really excellent quality seafood. Also if you are looking for a healthy lunch option in the area they offer delicious and fresh bowls with salmon or tuna and choice of grain and vegetables. A real hidden gem for lunch in the neighborhood.

Was so excited to visit this fish market , but it was such a disappointment. Walked in and the place smelled awful and it was incredibly warm there . The guy behind the counter was apathetic at best (totally uninterested in helping ) . Walked out without buying anything due to the aforementioned smell.

The raw oysters are so fresh and delicious! I had bought them one day in advance to shuck the next day and he gave me a bag of ice to keep them fresh in the fridge too! Best oysters I've bought from a fish market yet and only $1 per oyster! Will buy my oysters here from now on.

Very tasty lobster roll! I got the Connecticut style lobster roll here that was all warm and buttery and it was super tasty. The bread they use is excellent and you can tell the lobster is high quality and fresh. The service is quick and it's nice you can sit outside at the space from the bar next door. The cole slaw that came on the side was just okay though, not wonderfully flavorful but that's not what I came here for anyway. They also have a great selection of sushi rolls and even toro already premade, which isn't something you see often. I'll be looking forward to trying it in future.

Since they opened a few years ago, Fjord Fish Market has been my go-to spot for fish and I'm so grateful they're here in Park Slope. Their salmon, tuna, and halibut have never disappointed and the rest of their selection always looks fresh too. Fresh fish, helpful staff, clean shop - I highly recommend!

This used to be such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. They had fresh seasonal fish. Rare delicacies. And were a home cooks dream. Sadly over the last year they have fallen far down the hill. Today was they final straw and forced me to review, I'm hopes the owners will take action to fix the problems. Selection has become less and less. They staff cares less and less. And when you buy fresh, wild king salmon fillets you would expect them to be scaled. Well no! They were not. Laziness is will destroy this place.

We ordered a few items for takeout. We had the Connecticut lobster roll, the fish tacos, and a few varieties of oysters. Lobster roll was great. Big chunks of tail and claw meat. Lightly buttered with an airy roll which allowed the lobster to stand out. Similar experience with the fish tacos. Fresh fish. The pico was light which complimented the fish but allowed the fish to remain the focus. We also had three different oysters. The staff kindly shucked them for us and put together a little impromptu tray for us that came out very nice. Oysters were great. I'm not an oyster expert, but even I could taste the difference amongst them. The sushi looked great and I was tempted to purchase a tray but decided it would have been too much food. I'd definitely stop in for sushi to go based on how the fish looked. All vibrant with full colors. It seemed to be cut extremely well.

I'll concede - Fjord's Instagram marketing made me a customer. It doesn't hurt that they were promoting before they opened, posted delicious looking seafood, and even ran a few contests - of which I won none :( But all that aside, was getting drinks with a friend in High Dive's backyard, and it was the perfect opportunity to order from Fjord a few doors down (the folks at HD had no problem with us bringing in outside food). Called in an order, and it was ready to pick up in like 10 minutes. Got both types of lobster rolls, gyoza, and a spicy tuna lobster roll. The lobster roll was amazing (I went with the cold New England one, and my friend had the hot Connecticut style one). Loads of lobster meat, deliciously buttered bun. Plus some chips and slaw on the side. The tuna lobster roll was pretty massive, and everything was very fresh (they have a dedicated sushi counter inside, after all). The only thing I wouldn't get again was the gyoza - didn't realize it would be cold. While I waited for my food, I also loitered around and checked out their fish counters. They have just about everything you'd want. Honestly, just looking at their selections made me want to cook some paella. Lots of oysters, clams, langoustines, giant scallops, and all sorts of fresh fish filets. Definitely stop in if you're a seafood fan!

I came. I bought. I ate. I loved. The seafood selection here is unbeatable. The sushi is so fresh. The oysters here--INSANE. I come here a couple of times a week to browse and get inspiration for dinner. Often times I get too lazy to cook and just order the sushi and some crab claws or shrimp cocktails. It's really freaking good!!! TAKE ALL MY MONEY, please. I am done. I am so glad this fish store came to Park Slope. Saves me from driving to Larchmont for seafood.

Great selection of fresh seafood and made to order food. Not quite sea to table, but pretty darn close. Good sushi.

The fish is very fresh. It is not cheap, but good seafood can't be. The selection is not big but the quality and sourcing are what matter more.

Freshest fish in all of Brooklyn, maybe all of nyc. I pretty much only get the Atlantic salmon, salmon burgers, and ahi tuna. Could not recommend more. The sushi is also somehow better than any sushi restaurant, seriously as fresh as I've ever had and I've been a salmon guy all my life. Thank you fjord. Note that I'm reviewing this as a courtesy to fish shoppers, not just to compliment the Fjord crew.

From a quality perspective, it seems like a great spot. I came in to buy sushi grade fish for use in making my own sushi and the ahi tuna I got was great (though very expensive at $35 per pound). They claimed to have salmon too, but I did not get a very confident response to what was sushi grade so we passed on that. Interesting to note that the to go sushi vendor within the store appears to be separate from the rest of the fish market, as they said they do not use the same fish in the sushi as they sell in the market. Would think the sushi vendor would use the same sushi being sold there, but apparently not. Kind of odd.

Having now cooked and/or devoured everything I bought at Fjord, I have to say that it was worth every penny. The lobsters were the second best I have ever had - the first being straight off the boat in Maine - the shrimp was firm and flavorful, and the halibut was flaky and delicious - again, the only time I had better halibut was from the boat in Alaska. I only wish Fjord was closer to me! Although perhaps I'm better off - I'd spend all of my $$ there!

Hail, hail this beautiful new addition to Park Slope. Amazing array of fish and seafood...positively dazzling. I will say that much of it is spendy but both pieces we picked up (one for sushi, one for cooked) were excellent. They had tons of prepared foods too, dips, accompanying sauces...you can call ahead to order and they are taking orders now for Christmas. I was very impressed. The pricing is higher than some of the other places in the slope but relatively close for folks accustomed to shopping at the higher end fish markets. It is truly a site to behold so if you are someone who likes fish, it felt like an adventure just to visit (oh covid, how you've turn the mundane into the sublime ). Very happy to have Fjord Fish market finally open. Welcome to the neighborhood and see you soon.

What a great addition to the neighborhood. I often have cravings for making my own poke bowls, and this is the freshest fish I've been able to find in the area. Their sushi selection is impressive and great quality! Lastly, I can't recommend enough their CT style lobster rolls, especially now that Luke's Lobster has sadly closed. Pictured is ahi tuna from Fjord with homemade mango salsa tostadas, because I wasn't feeling like making rice for poke bowls :)

As a avid fisherman and seasoned chef I cannot express how happy I am to see a gourmet fish market like this in my area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, incredible selection of fresh fish make this a 5 star choice hands down.

Glad their first Brooklyn location opened up close enough for me to walk to. Great fish market! Great quality product, but like all quality items you get what you pay for and it's priced accordingly. Immaculately clean and well worth the ask. Picking up a fish platter for New Years Eve. Salute!

The sushi here is amazing! I hesitate to even write this as it will no longer be my secret spot. Hands down the best in all of Park Slope.

I stopped by Fjord just for a piece of salmon to bake for dinner. Bought a piece big enough for 2 + leftovers for $20 and it was delicious and great quality. Re: price and convenience , I used to do my seafood shopping at Whole Foods, I'm confident this is a superior replacement and would so much prefer to shop local. Next up, 2 lbs of mussels and clams.

I had high hopes for Fjord. Unfortunately, after a few months of operation, I walked in this past weekend and had to leave fairly quickly because of the pungent fishy odor. To me, this is a sign that the store is not being maintained properly. The service is average and I've observed fish handled without gloves. I understand that quality fish is pricey, but all in all, I can't justify to pay for the expensive fish at this shop based on the below average experiences I've had.

Nom nom nom! I purchased cod filet, sushi, and smoked fish spread. They were all so delicious. Strongly recommended the smoked fish spread /dips

Beautiful fish and seafood. Lots of space to walk around. Service was very helpful and accommodating. I was given all the time I needed to look over all the items before making a selection. The sushi looked great and I will be back to get some of that soon. This place is pricey.

A really good spot for FRESH fish. Polite and clean. Definitely on my go to list. Try it out. Pricey but dang it's really good food.

Have now visited several times and had the same experience of unfriendly service and poor quality fish, especially given the price point. Wish it was better because the location is great.

I'm like a kid in a candy store here. My wife has to regulate my shopping as it's all too easy to spend a lot on seafood. The sushi melts in your mouth, the crab claws are delicious, and all the fish looks really fresh. We've been so excited for Fjord to open in the neighborhood and it was well worth the wait.

This is a really great new store selling gorgeous sustainable seafood. They have great crab cakes to take home and cook, incredibly delicious homemade soups (special thumbs up for the lobster bisque and clam chowder), and really generous and flavorful lobster rolls for $20 bucks. Staff is really nice and helpful and while we haven't yet tried the sushi selections, they look beautiful too. Very grateful to have this store in the neighborhood.
