This is one of the places in the city I was most looking forward to trying, and I haven't been this disappointed in a long time.
Starting with the service; it wasn't a busy night but we still waited more than ten minutes for anyone to speak to us at the host stand, as the only people there. Once we were greeted, we were told it would be a few minutes, even though it was eight minutes past the time of our reservation. When we were finally seated, a waiter dropped off waters and promised to be back "in a few" but by the time they did return, we could have ordered our entire meal right then.
The drinks were small for the price, I got an espresso martini and my partner got something gin based. They were decent, but nothing we would order again. We also got the burrata as an appetizer which was okay, but again nothing spectacular. Our entrees were the most disappointing. I got the short rib agnolotti, and the flavor lacked and it tasted like there was a coating of water over it. Almost as if it was cooked awhile ago and a cover was put over it while it was steaming and formed a mist on the food. My partner got the strip steak, which wasn't very well seasoned and the potatoes were so salted they were difficult to have more than one bite of without a drink.
In the hour and 45 minutes we were there, our waiter stopped by a total of four times (if you count the dropping off of waters then heading into the distance). For an almost $200 bill, I would have expected higher quality service, and certainly higher quality food. I wouldn't recommend this for a birthday or any other special event. The bar service seemed much more attentive so you could try your luck if you're just looking for a drink before heading to your final dinner destination, but I wouldn't take my chances.
