6 Halal-Friendly Restaurants in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Triangle | Eater Carolinas

"This Brier Creek spot serves excellent Persian halal food (all meats are Zabiha halal certified), with the core of the menu being the signature kabobs. There are traditional koobideh (ground beef or ground spicy chicken), baarg (beef tenderloin), barreh (lamb), and more. The kashke bademjan, a garlicky, minty eggplant dip, is superb, and the stews and soups are perfect for a cold, rainy day (try the khoresh gheymeh split pea soup with beef and dried lemon). The family-style Royal Feast is a great way to get to know the cuisine — bring along a few friends." - Matt Lardie

18 Best Restaurants in Raleigh, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Brier Creek’s Flame Kabob offers excellent takes on classic Persian cuisine including stews (khoresh gheymeh, a split pea stew, is a standout), salads, and of course, kabobs. For those who have never tried Iranian cuisine before, the kabobs koobideh, made with a choice of ground beef or ground chicken, are a great place to start. Most of the kabobs come platter-style with rice, salad, or bread, and a few are available as sandwiches as well. All dishes are halal." - Matt Lardie

Google
They've gone downhill in last few years. Appetizers served with plastic spoons? Sauces in plastic cups. Neither hummus nor eggplant tasted freshly made. Lamb meat kebabs were sinewy tough and had very little seasoning. Salad is just rough cut iceberg lettuce. And why is there mandatory 18% service charge when you have to refill your own drinks? Yuck.

Everything was so GOOD! They have great prices, friendly quick service and delicious authentic persian food. Definitely a must have, every time we are in NC! Trust me you won’t be disappointed….try Flame Kabob

Went there with family. Food was really great we ordered the egg plant, lamb chops, chicken tikka, chicken seekh kebab. Really good food definitely coming back. Persian ice cream was fine. Comes with complimentary tea. Also 5 or more people get charged gratuity.

Google
I tried Flame Kabob for the first time and it was outstanding. I tried the beef kabob with white rice. The beef was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The rice was also delicious and tasted even better when I added their spicy sauce. Before my meal we were served warm pita. They even have black tea available for you to drink while you eat. The service was great as well. I will definitely return, I recommend Flame Kabob to anyone looking to eat a delicious Persian meal.

Google
Wonderful middle eastern food, definitely scratched my itch. I had a chicken Kabob (flavorful and moist), lamb Kabob (tender and well seasoned), and a beef koobideh Kabob (perhaps the star of the show, such juicy ground meat). Lentil rice on the side was delicious. The beef eggplant stew was tasty and herby. The baklava was also stellar, which was a pleasant surprise - moist and syrupy but still flaky. I wish this were closer because I would be coming here a lot more.

If you're craving authentic Persian cuisine, this place is an absolute gem! The meats were incredible—juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was bursting with flavor, especially lamb chops. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and grill everything to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the ice cream—wow! Creamy, fragrant, and rich with traditional saffron and rosewater flavors. It was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made us feel like family. A must-visit if you're looking for real Persian food done right!

Yelp
Whats not to love? Perfect food, excellent service, and the most gracious hosts. We drove 3.5 hours to come here for his birthday. It was well worth it. We both left stuffed and happy. They stayed late for us despite us coming in at 9:30. They even sang happy birthday to him. We love this place. It's like home for us.

Yelp
Food was ok but very expensive. We had no alcohol, they don't serve any. We ordered one small koubideh kabob. One small eggplant and beef stew, not even much meat. One extra rice with fava bean and dill for $4.99. One yogurt drink for $3.99. We drank water and the free tea. The bill was $59 without tip. Ouch. I know restaurant prices are higher these days but that was ridiculous. We can get two pork carnitas and bean burritos at San Jose Mexican next door that will fill us up for an entire day with free nachos and one beer for $45 without tip. Those burritos are so large you eat one for lunch and then eat a salad for dinner.

Yelp
Flame kabob has amazing food! I have had their food twice, once in person and once for takeout. I have tried their lamb platter, beef platter, and chicken platter and I have to say their beef platter is absolutely amazing and my favorite of the three. Their desserts were delicious too! I have had their Napoleon, faloodeh, and Persian ice cream and I loved them all. If you like floral desserts definitely try their ice cream or faloodeh! They use rosewater in it and it tastea heavenly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the service was quite confusing when I went in person. I had ordered an appetizer and it was forgotten, and I was told I would get free tea with my dessert but it never showed up. I also asked for the check, but upon waiting awhile longer and having it not brought to my table I decided to just pay up front. I'm not sure if I went during an off day, but when I ordered delivery the second time, nothing was missed and everything was packaged well and cooked super quickly. Overall, I highly recommend the food here! I don't know when I would go again in person but I would definitely order delivery from here as I think about their beef platter and desserts at least once a day!

Yelp
So hard to find Persian food in the triangle but this is the place to be if you have a craving for it. It's a small place but it was as very busy when we were there. Service was efficient despite the full restaurant. The food is the star attraction. Everything we had was excellent - well cooked and well seasoned. The chicken was flavorful and tender as well as the lamb. Save room for dessert! The faloodeh & ice cream were very good! Will definitely be back to sample more on the menu.

Yelp
Food was amazing, all the workers were super friendly, definitely family owned. We will be back!

Yelp
Stopped in on my way to the airport for a quick bite. The owner sat me and was extremely friendly and prompt. Ended up getting the Khoresht-e Gheymeh. I typically hesitate ordering this as most of the Persian restaurants in my area make it with too much tomato paste, but I'm glad I did as it was absolutely INCREDIBLE! So rich and deep with layers of flavor. The yellow split peas were cooked perfectly and had a nice bite. I opted to save some for my flight and even enjoyed this several hours later when it was cold - still delicious! As Persians do, you must get the chai to go along with your meal. It came with bread and some yogurt to dip in. The ambience reminds me of an old Persian restaurant my parents took me to go growing up - very clean and a flare of Persian. Even the marquee of photos from cities and sites in Iran invoked such fond memories. I will absolutely be coming back here when I'm in Raleigh next.

Yelp
This is one of the few restaurants the whole family absolutely loves and visits frequently. The food is consistently good, service is great! They treat you like family. I like the Persian decor on the walls and the seating outside is very nice too! They were nice enough to reserve a table for our big group (15 people)! We ordered things family style and they accommodated that. We had chicken Koobideh, beef Koobideh, and lamb shank. Both the Koobideh were very soft and flavorful, the chicken one was slightly better. The lamb shank was so soft and tender! There was no gaminess to it. Everything was mildly spiced, so you could actually enjoy the flavors of the meat, but they had a very nice hot sauce as well, for those that want a little heat. Along with the meats, we had some bread, yogurt sauce (amazing with the kababs), morasa polo and lentil rice. The morasa polo had orange peels, carrots, barberries, and pistachios. Good combination of flavors and paired nicely with the shank. Hopefully next time I can take pictures before we start eating.

Yelp
Food was amazing and the service was excellent. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We will be back!

Yelp
This place was a huge joke for takeout. For almost $100, I expected so much more, so much that it felt like a scam. SMALL PORTIONS, OVERPRICED, MEDIOCRE QUALITY. *** Appetizer Deluxe was a measly 3 tablespoons each of eggplant dip and hummus, 3 rolls of dolmeh, and 2 cubes of feta. For a total of $17, you could have just asked me to flush my wallet down the toilet. A children's sized platter at best -- deluxe my a$$!!! *** Khoresht-e-Gormeh-Sabzi stew was in a 12/14oz soup container, which I initially thought was sauce instead. For 2 bits of beef chunks and for a whopping $18, this was the real belly laugh travesty to behold. LOL!!!!! *** They try to make up for portion sizes by adding more salad and bread (of course, the cheaper stuff). *** I love how they try to entice you with a 5% discount on online orders w/ pickup and a free dessert or salad with a minimum order of $50 or $100, but honestly getting either makes up for nothing. Before digging in, my mother asked me how did it taste and I answered I'm not sure because there wasn't enough for me to even get an idea! HA!!!! The only redeeming quality is that they cooked their meats well, especially the koobideh and the kotlet. The joojeh was OK, but a little overcooked. Maybe dining in is better with bigger portions, but holy sh!t did I feel gypped from this place. WOULD 100% AVOID IN THE FUTURE.

Yelp
Delicious and Flavorful Kabobs! The kabobs are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor in every bite. The menu offers a great variety of options, and the portions are generous. If you're in the area and craving tasty Mediterranean cuisine, Flame Kabob is a good place to visit!

Yelp
First time here for a lunch with friends. You get a few pieces of the bread with yogurt dip before your entree. It was very tasty. I got the chicken kebab with rice. It also comes with a charred tomato. Everything was excellent and well prepared. The chicken was so tender, moist, and flavorful. The restaurant is small. When full, it's quite noisy. The menu is on the table, underneath the glass top, which I thought was smart. No cleaning or throwing out menus like a lot of places are still doing. I really like this place.

Yelp
Bach bach!!! Very good . I am Persian and I approve . Owner is very nice and staff are very good and quick.

Yelp
The food and service are wonderful. We love this place! The koobideh kabobs, both beef and chicken, are my favorites and you can never go wrong with them.

Yelp
We didn't know what to eat so we picked a restaurant that's close to the house. The restaurant was easy to locate in the shopping center. When we entered, the restaurant was busy, but we were immediately seated. The menus are laid out under the glass surface of the table. Our server came over to take our order when we were ready. She wasn't friendly, had no smile, no greeting, just took our order and walked away abruptly when we were done ordering. We ordered the skewer platter, lamb shank, and lamb rack. You can only get rice OR salad with the entrees, which was a bit off-putting, since we're used to getting both rice and salad at other restaurants. We ordered rice with the skewers and lamb rack entree and a salad with the lamb shank entree. The lamb shank was well braised. The meat was tender, but the sauce was very bland. The salad was a sad, big sad plate of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers with no dressing. The lamb rack entree came with 4 small lamb pieces. 1 out of 4 was perfectly grilled and seasoned, but the others were overcooked, so they were charred and dry. For that amount of meat, rice, and a few pieces of onions, 1 grilled tomato, the price is outrageous. The skewer platter came with 3 skewers, rice, some onions, and a grilled tomato. The skewers platter was the best thing that we ordered. All of the skewers were tender and well seasoned. Another pro about this restaurant is their homemade hot sauce. Spicy, tangy, slightly sour, delicious. We added it to everything to give the entrees some flavor. The server did not come back to check on us. Our water was not refilled, and when we were ready to pay, we had to go to the front of the restaurant since we were not getting any service.

Yelp
Top shelf Persian kabob stop here in Brier Creek. Loved the Kotlet platter and their yogurt is on another level. Vegetarian wife is usually hard to please and was raving so much about the yogurt and Khoresht-e-Bamyeh (okra simmered in vegan tomato sauce and Persian spices) that she wanted to start telling people right away. So if you are looking for a fun place, complimentary tea, and fabulous Persian food, then this is the way.

Yelp
We sat at the table minutes after being waited on. "TIME WAS TICKING". The water that was brought to our table was warm. I didn't like what I had ordered, my mom on the other hand said her food was ok. We both agreed to the tzatziki sauce being bland. Let's not forget we sat there while trying to get someone's attention that we never received utensils "TIME WAS TICKING". The service was terrible. And nope never again !

Shara R.

Yelp
Under their new ownership, this is the best place to get Persian food, specially Kabobs, in our area. Strongly recommend them. They are also very good for catering. The service is good, place is authentic. Sitting is limited. Persian food is not cheap, but the price is reasonable for the quality food you get.

Fatemeh M.

Yelp
I would never ever buy food from this store, I have been sick since I ate the food it was greasy and low quality and been thrown up so many times if your health matters don't go to this place .
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Chicken kabobs were super tender and perfectly marinated. The yogurt dip that came as an appetizer was delicious as well. Plenty of seating inside the restaurant for the small building size and nice authentic decorations. Service was excellent. The Persian ice cream is a must, it was super creamy and had a great aftertaste of rose water.

Yelp
We loved this little place for lunch today! Our servers were VERY friendly, and eager to make sure we were happy. We were! Our hummus came with a boatload of fresh tandoori bread. It was the shape of pita, but tasted a bit more like naan, and it was nicely charred. There was enough that we took some home for a snack later. My spicy, but not-too-spicy, single chicken koobideh platter, and my friend's double platter, came with so much delicious lentil rice that I took some of that home, too. The chicken was very well cooked and wonderful. The price was right at $10.99 for the single. It's tiny, and doesn't appear to be marked for social distancing, but the few people who were eating in were placed far apart. They also have a nice front patio with several tables. Menus are on the tables, under glass, so they're touch-free, and servers are wearing masks. The bread came to the table covered, and the hummus was in a take-out container. Not the prettiest presentation, but we appreciated the effort to keep everything clean and as touch free as possible. This would be the perfect place for a nice dinner, too. They even have a few frozen desserts and entrees in the back that you can buy and take home.

Jumana G.

Yelp
My experience was horrible, I SAW THE WAITRESS PICK UP THE BREAD PIECES AND PLACE IT ON THE PLATE WITH HER BARE HANDS AFTER TOUCHING THE REGISTER AND GIVING THE BILL TO A CUSTOMER WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, she then wipes her hands on her apron from the bread crumbs... I got the wrong order and food came cold and the service was not it that day and i came when they were not even busy, the waitress had a attitude when I asked her a simple question "is it possible to get a thicker yogurt drink" bc the yogurt drink taste like literal water, mind you I'm Arab, and I know how the yogurt drink is supposed to taste and that was definitely the worst way possible to make it. I had ordered a chicken koobideh kabob but she gave me chicken breast kabob instead and i was like okay whatever i just want to eat i'm hungry and i don't want to wait an extra 30 min. I was so uncomfortable where i was seated altho we reserved a table in advance she didn't want to change our table, the seats are shoulder to shoulder close although its two separate tables. I love the wall-art tho!

Yelp
Dinner with friends at one of their favorite restaurants. Now we know why. Set in an upscale strip mall, just north of RDU. Family run Persian food that is not of this world. Everyone was gracious and welcoming. Excellent service. It takes 30 minutes to read the menu, so I recommend a doogh and an appetizer while you drool over the options. No alcohol, if that's important to you. There were so many "have to try this" dishes. The specialty stews take up a whole page on the menu. Every one of them was enticing. The lamb shank is cooked low and slow in a savory sauce that is so rich you have to pause after each taste and give thanks. Touch the meat and it slides on your fork. For desert their Persian ice cream will bear you away on a carpet of flavors. It's unbelievable.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely incredible kabobs, I had the sampler platter and the chicken breast kabob was like butter so juicy each piece, the tenderloin I just gobbled up piece by piece but the star of the show for me was the koobideh kabob, what an amazingly flavorful mix of meat. I actually commented when I ordered it that I wasn't sure I could eat 3 kabobs plus the sides but there was not a piece of food left on my plate in the Updated 10/25/22, this place still serves up incredibly delicious kabobs.
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying this Persian spot & let's just say, we will be back... often. I ordered the lamb shank with basmati rice and my partner got the lamb kebab with lentil rice. Starting with the lamb shank, it's basically lamb leg in a broth/stew and it's soooo delicious. It's savory, moist and the rice is cooked perfectly. The lamb kebab was perfectly cooked and tender with such flavorful rice. The staff was super friendly and they have tea out for dine-in customers. It's not a super large space but seats a lot of people. It is a very homey feeling restaurant with the friendliest staff. I can't wait to try other things!
google avatar

Yelp
Persian food, good beef kabab and very good chicken kabab. The place is a little small and tables are very close to each other. Good customer service, our server has been working there for 14 years! Much better than many middle eastern food In the area.

Yelp
Ordered the platter at this place. They were able to customize it too. Quantity and food are both amazing. It's a casual dining restaurant and the service is good too.

Yelp
This is some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! I specifically wanted Persian food and this is one of the only spots in the Triangle that has Persian food. The special rice with orange peel, almonds and pistachios was delicious and so unique! We also got the triple kebab platter and it was so flavorful 10/10 the baklava was very tasty and flaky The Persian twist was unique compared to other Mediterranean places I've been before The inside has cozy tables, and the outside patio has couches and tables with a bubbling fountain I was able to order online and it was ready on time.

Yelp
Flame kabob is a cute little Mediterranean cafe and great place to grab a yummy bite with a friend. The waitress was extremely friendly and made me feel welcomed and at home. She was always ready to check on us and bring anything we requested. The sincerity in the service shined and stood out to me. I will be back for more flame kabobs

Yelp
Probably the first time ever I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, sorry! The plates looked sooo good I wasn't even thinking. They're still open for dine-in during COVID and everyone is wearing a mask. They have complimentary tea which they bring to you and the inside is small but cute. There is outside seating as well! For four people we got two sampler plates, which was more than enough food! Our first plate was beef, chicken, and lamb. The second one was beef, chicken, and steak. I thought the beef (koobideh) was extremely delicious and the best one. Second place would be chicken. I enjoyed the lamb as well, but I thought the steak was a little too tough. It came with lentil rice (you can choose white too), tomatoes, onions, tandoori bread, and yogurt sauce. The portions were very big too! Everything was amazing. For dessert we decided to try the Napoleon, which was a puff pastry with creme. It was super fluffy and tasty. My parents have been talking about this place for so long I'm glad I got to try!! Will be back.

David G.

Yelp
I won't be returning. Tough food. Long delays. Slow service. Unexpected fees. I was just going to give it two stars (i.e. "Could've been better") but then I remembered that they charge a 15% mandatory gratuity for dine-in customers. I've never had that happen before. I've seen that for groups, sure, and the receipt will usually tell you that, but here it's just if you dine-in. It does say it in the menu, but since when is the menu like a contract, where you have to read the whole thing to hopefullly spot a weird tax that they want to stick you with? Water ... we had a group of 10 people and they only brought out two carafes of water. They were probably about 1.5 liters, and they emptied fast and were only refilled once during the meal. And water was sorely needed here, as the food really was quite dry. Service was poor. We were rarely checked on. Since we had a party of 10, we called in our orders over and hour before we arrived. We got there on time and did not get our food until we had been there for 50 minutes! And when we got there, there were maybe 8 other customer in the store, if that. So it's not like they were busy. I ordered the lamb kebab, and it did feel a little over-priced, but not too bad. The lamb was a little tough, which was disappointing. Probably a little overcooked. We did get a few triangles of bland flatbread before the meal. It had a "lamb sauce" with it, or you could choose yogurt. The lamb sauce was really needed because the bread was dry and really needed flavor. Nothing like good Indian Naan bread. I'm glad I ate the bread right away, because of how long it took to get our entrees. And there was no reason to save it because its dryness would have not contributed to the entree, that already had a ton of dry, bland basmati rice. I put a little butter in the basmati I make at home. Maybe I'm just spoiled. The rice, as I mentioned, was plentiful, and I normally really like to indulge in some good nutty basmati. But this just was void of flavor. It would have been fine if it were paired with a sauced entree on the opposite side of the plate. Some other friends got the lentil rice, and maybe that had more flavor. I tried my friend's beef tenderloin kebab, and I'm glad I didn't pay extra for that! It was tougher than the lamb. Now, for both the lamb and the tenderloin, the taste was good. But when you're chewing it forever, you just start to lose interest. While you do get a lot of rice, you really don't get much other food. I left still feeling hungry. Oh, and the toilet paper is about the thinnest/cheapest I've ever seen. Who should go here? Maybe locals who have food restrictions and don't want to travel too far for this kind of cooking. But I would look on yelp or google maps to try to find other middle-eastern eats in the area to try first or as well.

Yelp
My favorite dish here is the khoresh e geymeh bademjaan. It is an eggplant beef stew which pairs well with the soft basmati rice. I come here for it at least every 2 months. They also sell it frozen so it makes for a great take home meal. My husband is a big fan of the lamb chops. I also love the Persian ice cream with saffron and rosewater - unique flavors that you won't find in a grocery store. One thing to keep in mind is that dinner is often busy and the servers don't always have designated tables. It is typically a bit loud since the restaurant is small and the tables are close together. In my experience, we have always been seated promptly, though sometimes you need to flag someone down to ask for something. Many of the people who dine in are regulars. Also, the hot black tea is included with the meal and is self-service at the front of the store. Don't expect the typical "Hi, have you been here before? Welcome to our restaurant. Let me explain the menu." They work a bit more efficiently but nonetheless the servers are all polite and open to answering questions. It's a very mom-and-pop feel and the owners are very involved in customer care. The food and decor feels authentic.

Yelp
Amazing Iranian food and the one of the best Kabob places in the Triangle. I think this might be one of the only Persian places in the area, but definitely the best. The kabob is always juicy and mouth watering, and rice is always plentiful. Fresh bread and yogurt are always great to snack on while you wait for your food. I usually get the beef koobideh and chicken pieces kabob, with double rice, if I'm not feeling a salad. This time I opted to get the bread instead of rice, which was great with the kabob. I think the price is definitely worth the food. My only complaint would be there's definitely no privacy and all of the tables are right next to each other. This time we went we were seated right in front of the door, and everything someone opened the door we practically froze since it was really cold that night. I usually prefer to take it to go, but all in all, amazing food.

Yelp
Great Iranian food. Their kabob, rice, and soap are great. The service is great. Love the place its so homey.

Yelp
Bismillahrahmanrahim, O'Raleigh be told of this fine chophouse, for they are the Masters of Kebab and Jewelled Rice. Respectfully the best Kebabs in Raleigh can be found here. You will have the most variety, from Barreh to Barg, to Kubideh, to Shaslik, to Juje, all of these were cooked to my satisfaction and were authentic in flavor and on delivery order all the way to my home in Raleigh they were perfectly preserved in warmth - MashaAllah MashaAllah! Now, I just want to know their secret! What crazy trickery did they use that I couldn't even apply Sumac from my home to their kabobs... their kebab was too good that I finished it before I could even get to the Sumac - imagine this, right now the entire Middle East is standing still frozen in time as I said this. On a real serious note, this is truly my favourite establishment for kabobs in Raleigh and they even had me at Ghormeh Sabzi ! I one time catered from this restaurant and the owner was very very kind to share the most incredible Tahdig with us.

Yelp
This restaurant has excellent service. The food is fresh and delicious. The food is authentic. There is tea that everyone can partake in a huge warmer. The vegetable soup is perfect for a cold day. There are so many comfort food items on this menu. If you ever want healthy food or just are craving something delicious, go here. The lamb was cooked to perfection, it was literally falling off the bone. Definitely a go to place.

Yelp
This would have been five stars, except there was a super confusing 15% administrative fee tacked on for in-restaurant dining. I thought it was just an included tip (great!), but the staff clarified it was NOT a tip, that it went "mostly to the waitstaff," and "tipping is always optional." What? So do I count it as part of my 20% tip or not? Am i tipping a full 20% on top of the fee or not? It was so confusing. And if it's just a fee and not a tip, that's a shady and deceptive pricing practice. Food was great, though.

Yelp
Fresh, quality food. A bit pricey but seems like all natural ingredients. Wish they had smaller family meal options.

Yelp
Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 7/16/2019 8:15pm Crowd: 1 large table and 1 small table occupied Order: Koobideh Kabob, Chicken Breast Kabob, Hummus/pita app Haven't been here in quite awhile and when I didd eat here, it was more of a fast food set up. It has since evolved into a sit down restaurant with menus and servers. It's on the small side, but they have fit enough tables to serve a few plus tables outside. The service is very good as well, but could use a little friendliness. Both entrees are very tasty and the chicken is very tender. The entrees are similar for sides but the chicken is made differently with the Chicken Breast Kabob are individual cubes of chicken prepared with a yogurt and lemon taste while the Koobideh Kabob is ground chicken served in 1 long piece with a very good and spicy flavoring. The hummus was more on the plain side but tasty. I would definitely recommend them.

Yelp
Very good food, probably the best Persian food place in the Raleigh area. Service is generally OK, but not outstanding - a bit on the slow side Ambiance is average They have outdoor sitting which is a plus

Yelp
The owner is amazing and helpful when my Uber order went wrong. Most importantly, the food is unparalleled to any other in the area. I recommend the Kabob Sampler. Great deal and enough to feed my family of 3.

Yelp
This is the second time I have ordered from Flame Kabob through Grubhub. Both orders arrived in perfect condition. This second order included their delicious ice cream which came packaged in ice, so it arrived cool. I live in Durham, so I appreciate the thoughtful packaging. I love the ice cream. 5 Star Restaurant

Yelp
Good, staff, and service are all great. Not the best Persian food I've ever had but for the prices and food you get, I'd say it's a Raleigh staple.

Yelp
Yum ! Ordered the beef with lentil rice and a side of their fresh hummus ; delicious! Love this little hole in the wall spot . Make sure you ask for their homemade hot sauce to put on your food . Not too spicy and great flavoring !

Yelp
Yuuummmyy!!! My review could really stop there. I stopped by one day while visiting a nearby store. I was greeted immediately by an employee and offered a menu. I wanted takeout but with the open floor plan it's really no place to wait so I'd suggest calling in your order unless dining in...just FYI. There are some menu items photographed on the wall above the kitchen entryway if you want to get a feel for the dishes. On this visit, I ordered the lamb kabob with lentil rice. I wanted to split salad and lentil rice but the gentleman taking my order advised me to not get the salad. I'm glad I listened. The rice/lentil blend was delicious, plentiful, and flavorful. It more than enough for 2 people or multiple servings for one. It also came with a cucumber sauce for the meat. It was tasty but not needed as the meat was cooked perfectly. The place is so good and the people so friendly, I went back the following week. Got the same rice/lentil blend but this time with chicken. So good! Can't wait to try more items.

Yelp
This place is on point. This restaurant is on Shamshiry's level. For those of you who know about Shamshiry, near Tysons Corner, VA, you will get the comparison and will love this place. And for those of you who do not know what Shamshiry is, you must start using profanity immediately while looking at yourself in the mirror. Because you deserve it for not knowing what Shamshiry is. If you happen to be in Raleigh, NC, you DEFINITELY should eat here. Solid A+

Yelp
Had the lamb shank and eggplant dip. It was good- moist, and perfectly cooked! The only reason why I have 4 instead of 5 stars is that it seemed to be understaffed with one main waiter serving everyone

Yelp
This place was amazing. I'd never heard of this place. Was taken there by a friend. Loved everything about the entire experience. Highly recommended, would go again. Ordered beef tenderloin kabob with lentil rice, it came tandoori bread and a fresh yogurt to dip. Friend had bone in kabob. Hot tea on tap. Everything I tried was delicious. Hidden gem!!!
