"Flameburger is a true old-school burger spot — the vintage red bar stools and massive flattop harken back to an era of drive-ins and steak breakfasts. The California burger, topped with molten American cheese, bacon, and all the requisite veggies, is best paired with Flameburger’s reliable crinkle-cut fries — though the onion rings, golden and crispy around a sweet onion center, are an even better bet. Breakfast (think hashbrowns, pork chops, French toast) is served until close at 2 a.m., every day." - Justine Jones, Eater Staff

Yelp
Amazing food here, and a great retro interior: an old style S shaped counter where servers can connect with every patron. Burgers have an amazing grilled flavor, as if from a family backyard grill. Sides include the usuals, plus real mashed potatoes w bacon, sour cream, whatever you like. I had a burger, and the all day breakfasts looked great too, Super friendly servers! I ate in, but my server topped off my coke in a "to go" cup- who does that anymore?! This place is a true Americana gem!

Yelp
Went back for breakfast! Busy! Almost full house. Food is excellent. Prices amazing.

Yelp
I love this location with a passion !! I am a fan for diners. This is truly one of MN'S hidden gems. They also are super convenient because Minnesota lacks in restaurants open late at night. ESP @2AM!!!! Mind you every time I come here its the same 2 chefs sending out delicious platters of food. They have never disappointed me in the last 2 years of coming here. Service here is also top notch. Even when restaurant is crazy busy the crew has great customer service and are very attentive to the guests. This could not get any better!!

Yelp
Amazing service- friendly, funny, helpful. Our server Christina was wonderful. Good food- quick service. Their burgers are awesome. Plenty of parking.

Mr. Rodriguez ..

Yelp
Service was terrible. The food was OK.I will go back if there's nothing else open at night. 2 out 5

Yelp
I like the food, but here's what you get when you ask for cheese to be added to your scrambled eggs. They charge you $1 to slap a slice of Kraft Singles on top of it. That's really lazy and bad form.

Katherine B.

Yelp
Go get yourself a blue plate special. Ok, I dont know diner lingo, and I'm not sure they have daily specials here but I sat near the guy working the grill and he was so impressive! I loved seeing all the drawings open and close and all the ingredients moving around and how he kept every fast and fresh. If you want hash browns, come here. If you want to watch a trio of diners working hard, come here. If you want to order online...maybe re think that. In a small place I saw two people come in for to-go orders (which speaks highly of the food) and their online ordering system was messed up.

Yelp
Flameburger is a staple in the Twin Cities... well, to me and everyone who's tried it! Today I ordered the Ranch Breakfast and as always, it was delightful. Excellent customer service and speedy service as well. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Went here a while back just getting around to the review. Service was fantastic, great people. Never eaten here before. Great burger! Onion rings! Will be going back!

Yelp
Went there last night and it was packed at 10 pm. The blond waitress was great- responsive on everything. I sat next to the kitchen at the counter. Was amazed how quick they were with everything. Then there was hot pants that was cranking out food out the kitchen and omg how she could multitask with doing 12-14 orders at once. Only thing I can gripe about is the price but everything is expensive today.

Patrick R.

Yelp
First time here and love it! Had California cheese burger and it was perfectly cooked with fresh toppings. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!

Easton R.

Yelp
JEN IS THE BESTTTT she is the most incredible living waitress on earth she made my night ahhhhhh Malissa was freaking incredible as well! Such a fantastic experience

Yelp
Tonight my group (6 people) decided to eat at The Flameburger. We have been here before. The food was decent and service was decent. Tonight we had a few mix ups and EXPIRED FOOD. All of our burger buns had MOLD and the utilities were DIRTY. The waiter had us take our meat and onions out the burger and swap it out with new buns. From the time waiting for the mold issues to be corrected and not receiving our orders correctly, our fries were cold. Over all the experience today was a hassle and really not worth the time just to eat a burger with fries.

Yelp
A wonderful flashback to another era, a combination of 1960's and a little of the 90's. Delicious, perfectly cooked burger with a generous serving of fries. Fries were standard crinkle cut, nothing special but perfectly fried. For the price, the 1/4 burger is adequately sized with the additional fixings (forget the name, but got the burger with the bacon, cheese and egg). I only wish there was a 1/3 lb. burger option, instead of the leap to the 1/2 lb burger, as the 1/4 patty leaves a bit of beef to be desired, but at the the same time the 1/2 lb burger can be too much sometimes and weigh the working man down (tis a delicate balance).

Rachel D.

Yelp
One of the best family local restaurant! Super friendly staffs! When you crave for great breakfast or burgers, I highly recommend The Flameburger!

Bob O.

Yelp
I can't believe how lazy the cooks are. They can't even cook a fresh hamburger instead they reheat a precooked patty.

Jaden Z.

Yelp
Flame Burger on rice street is always a combination of exceptional service and phenomenal food. The burgers here are always flame grilled to perfection and packed with flavor, if your looking for one of the best burgers in the Twin Cities this is the spot to go.

Domanic B.

Yelp
Good service fire food what more can i say If you're Minnesotan u know this is the only place.

Karr W.

Yelp
Omg I was in town working and I tried this place because they have vegetarian options. I tried the spicy burger with impossible meat. It was pure perfection. The staff were extremely nice and very smart when I forgot to put no bacon, the cook put it on the side. The food is underpriced in my opinion for the quality and it included fries: I'll definitely come here each and every time I'm in town. Don't be a fool, try them and you will be very satisfied. I live in Atlanta with tons of vegan options and this blew me away.

Leah T.

Yelp
They are open until 2am on Friday and thank goodness they are. Fast and efficient food came out extremely fast. Onion rings were amazing.

Jim H.

Yelp
Lots of reviews today and I had to include the Flameburger. Breakfast, burgers, malts....all very good. Reasonable prices. Very nice wait staff We stop here fairly often and are always more than satisfied!

Greg L.

Yelp
Service was poor. They lost my order and it took about 50 minutes to get my food and when it showed up it was wrong.

Joe L.

Yelp
This is place is a classic. The burgers are insanely good, and they give you so much fries. You always walk out full stomach. The service was unbeatable, the waiter and the cooks were all very good at their jobs. A 24 hour burger joint with good rap music and good food is hard to find. I give the music, the food and the overall experience 5 stars. Best place we dined at over spring break!

Robert S.

Yelp
Fast, amazing service with great food! Whether it's dining in or taking out, you can't go wrong with anything from flameburger! I've ordered takeout on their website numerous times and it's always ready on time or before it's due.

Tyler P.

Yelp
Oh hot dang I found it! An amazing burger in the cities, and cheap too! Fries are good and crinkle cut. All of it is fresh off the griddle right in front of you so you know it's hot. This little greasy spoon hole in the wall is a classic little diner. They are remodeling now so it might look nicer inside when they are done but who cares the food is perfect. I went back for breakfast at 9 pm the next day, fluffy pancakes with a bit of crisp on the edges, real eggs and sausage and English muffin, and that fake syrup that lets you know you are home. 4 huge cakes with that and I ate em all. I left so full I was questioning my own sanity for having finished them. But they were that good. If you are in the cities and need to eat some real food head to Roseville and look up Flameburger, you will not be disappointed if you like a good burger or a fast breakfast.

Xia Y.

Yelp
One of my favorite burger joints in town. The burgers are cooked to perfection. The food is cook right in front of you so be prepared to walk out smelling like food.

Iris F.

Yelp
Honestly this place is a mix of Denny's and Mickey's. The burgers are amazing! The milkshakes are so good! The hot apple cider and hot coco are my go to's!! The breakfast is sooo good!! They are also open 24/7!! And they are super close to home!! Definitely hits the late night munchies for my husband and I.. Don't knock it until you try I it

Lisa J.

Yelp
I love their food, the burgers and malts are always on point and the hash browns with everything on it, OMG always so good, I recommend eating there whenever you can, Sundays are always busy, I should have taken a picture of my food, it was delicious.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Highly recommend this loc dive! After being told by a few what was supposed to be late night spots and being turned away when clearly their hours stayed open, we found the flame burger. Very hospitable staff, food was incredible and they are open late! I highly recommend if you are in town to go visit Mohamed and his staff! Great food, friendly people and fast service! Open late too!!

Maxx M.

Yelp
Good food, shabby interior. This was my first visit to the Little Canada Flame Burger. The food was everything I expected...yummy, greasy, goodness! I especially liked the Diablo Flame Burger with the ghost pepper cheese. The service was also great...fast, friendly, and on the spot. The only reason I'm not giving these guys four of five stars is the generally appalling state of disrepair inside the dining area. The booths we sat in were all wobbly and not connected to the wall or floor. At least two of the stools were completely broken. This place looks like it's falling apart! Having owned rental properties in St.Paul and Ramsey County, I don't understand how these guys can get away with this and why the inspections department isn't all up in their grille to fix their stuff. -Daddy Maxx Retro

Yelp
Definitely a greasy spoon type of place but always hits the spot. I love the cheesy hashbrowns with onions. Sometimes ill get a chocolate malt too.

Jeff W.

Yelp
We had the Pancakes & Eggs with bacon and an English muffin and a Cowboy Burger. Both were really good. The setting is like an old diner with a good atmosphere. The staff was right there to interact with you if you wanted. This is definitely worth a visit.

Meghann S.

Yelp
Needed a place to eat at 3am and I'm glad we chose this one! Our food came out so fast we were shocked, but relieved bc we were starving. Flameburger has good service, cheap eats, and hits the spot! Perfect for a late night fill

Richard F.

Yelp
Wonderful service, food, and environment. Massive improvement from my last visit, no ice in my orange juice!

Oceanna L.

Yelp
The food is great service is awesome people are 9/10 nice and the best part it's 24hours Personally I order the Diablo burger or the sunrise both are great there's only one thing that can improve.....the cook I didn't see him wearing gloves yes I'm sure you "washed your hands " but how am I supposed to know also they could use new tables see 3rd pic (UPDATE TEN MINUTES LATER my dad found a hair on his toast)

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite. 24/7. Breakfast lunch dinner. Diner vibe. One of my favorite Minnesota food spots. A classic.

Steve C.

Yelp
Great food, very casual dining. They cook it right in front of you. Portion size of the hash browns is larger than anywhere else. Anything from breakfast to dinner is great. Don't pass it up. Prices are low, make sure you tip both the server and the cook because they deserve it. Milk shakes are great too. You can sit in a booth or at the counter on a stool.

Koolsee X.

Yelp
This place is open 24 hours and the service is fast. I love the new remodel of this place. Definitely a diner type feel. I usually come here after a couple of drinks at Hoggsbreath next door and get their burgers (super flame btw). But I came here on a Sunday night for dinner and ordered steak and eggs. Would recommend this place if you're in the area and want breakfast/burgers!

Katy G.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years since I moved away. My husband and I were running errands in the area and decided to order take out. It's just as good as I remember. It's a diner style fast food burger joint, with the bonus of being able to choose your patty cook temperature. I ordered the Cheese Flame and my husband ordered the Diablo Flame. The fries are crinkle cut and fabulous. The burgers are just solid, classic, and tasty and that's it. I wish I would have gotten some pictures but we couldn't wait to dig in. Maybe next time!

Yelp
Light night or early morning hunger pangs keeping you awake? This old fashion grease spoon diner is the spot to be at. You know the term, "Don't judge a book by it's cover?" Well, in this case, it definitely applies to diner. Don't let it's shabby & crummy interior scare you away. I personally can't vouch much for the dining experience, but the food is pretty solid and it blows me away every time I dine in here. During this specific visit, unlike all my other visits, it was crammed with people. Some people were not even dining, but they were with people who were and they just stood around being in the way of people who actually needs to dine in. They were obnoxiously loud and inappropriate. I don't know why management didn't throw them out or asked them to leave if they were just standing around. A lot of the diners were very loud already and the diner unfortunately, have these tacky speakers in the back end of the tables (on top of our booth) that were even louder. Hello, I can feel the sound waves literally vibrate off the damn table! I thought I was going deaf for a moment there, because I could barely hear my own voice or my conversation with my friends. I ordered the fish dinner and quickly received it within minutes of ordering. However, I am quite annoyed that the people who sat across from us got their orders first, before us, when they sat down and ordered after us. My fish dinner was delicious! The greasy batter on the fish is crispy and has a nice crunch to it when you bite into the fish. I love how they cooked my fish well done so there is no natural fish stentch. The cole slaw have this buttery salty taste to it. It was served cold and just the right temperature. It has a nice smooth texture to it. Even though, I love the fish, I usually always go here for the hash browns. It's POTATO PERFECTION on a platter! It is cooked to a neat golden brown so it will have the right crunch. If you ever dine here, this is something I suggest you should always have as a side. This diner is very generous with their portions and it is unquestionably affordable. Good cheap eats! The fact that it is 24/7 makes it much more convenient. Even though the backdrop of this diner may seem skeptical on the outside, you need to experience the food first, then trust me, you will be back. I only gave this a three stars, because the experience and ambiance of the place is not so wholesome. The food is definitely five stars. The service is more of a three to four stars.

Yelp
I came here late at night for a burger. What I liked: 1. The burger was pretty great. I got the super sunrise flame and thought it was excellent. The egg went well with the burger, the patties were cooked well to what I requested, and the cheese was nice. Bacon was pretty solid too. 1. Service was nice. 1. Open 24/7 even during pandemic. All menu items are available any time of day. 1. Takeout boxes are those nice thick (paper?) white ones and keep your food secure in the car. What I didn't like: 1. Fries. Bland, chalky, mediocre. I may try the onion rings next time but the fries really didn't do it for me. I'm not even sure if they were salted any or what they were fried in. Basically just ended up being ketchup delivery to The verdict: Delicious burger. Bland fries. I'll be back to try another burger and the onion rings in the future. Update: Came back. Tried the online ordering system this time and it made the experience really easy. I tried the onion rings and they were worth buying, so now that I have a full order with sides that I really enjoy I can confidently give this place a 5.

Yelp
I went today and had the beer battered filet of cod with coleslaw and fries it was delicious

Yelp
When your brunch with friends turns into cocktails with friends, sometimes you need something simple and greasy the next day to help you feel better. There are so many burger and fast food joints out there today they all do whacky things to compete for your business. You know what they don't seem to do? Strip their food down and let quality speak for itself. Flameburger makes real hamburgers. What I mean by that is there isn't some crazy secret sauce, they don't slap a bunch of random things on it, and they don't go crazy with a laundry list of options. The food is real food, and it is good. We got the CA burgers which come with grilled onion, lettuce, and tomato. We got their 1/2 pound size (again long night) and the smell was mouthwatering. The burger itself was cooked medium, which is a sign that they know how to cook a good burger. Simplicity is dangerous in cooking because you have nothing to hide behind, but it also allows you to show off quality. This burger tasted like what you imagine a greasy spoon burger to taste like. I could feel my heart filling with terrible goodness after the first bite. We also got a side of fries which were meh. They weren't the worst fries I've ever had, but they didn't taste home made. Sides are a la carte, but the burger itself isn't too bad in terms of price. I think people are just so used to the burger, fries, and soda deal. 26/100

Kub Y.

Yelp
The server was nice, friendly and great! 3* = my steak was so hard and rough even as medium rare, couldn't finish half. For the price, I was expecting something similar to IHOP/Denny's. No kidding, gave my friend a piece and he said the same thing. Could just be a bad time of the day, no idea but that definitely ruined as a first timer into their restaurant.

Jack T.

Yelp
Messed up my order twice, the employees were rude and sweaty. The kitchen is clearly dirty, and when I left there was sticky stuff on my arms from the table and I couldn't get it off. Don't come here.

Vy B.

Yelp
Similar to my other flameburger review, I truly love going to this place for a solid breakfast or late night greasefest. This location is actually my favorite of the two because it feels like a little truck stop on the middle of nowhere even though you are in the burbs. The sassy signage on all the walls and the regulars who frequent the place turn it into a cozy joint where anyone could feel comfortable. I always get the hash browns extra crispy and an order of hot wings. It takes a while for the hot wings to fry up so order them first while you look at the menu. The other day I had the sunrise flame which is a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg--seriously delicious. The price is right was playing on the tv and everyone in the restaurant was getting really into it. Another reason to love this place. The service can be a little slow if it's busy...there's usually only one waitress and cook so don't expect a five star dining experience.

Heather H.

Yelp
This is my first time in the state of Minnesota; I'm from Indiana, in Little Canada for a couple of days on business. I called in a take-out order from this restaurant because it's close to where I'm working. I ordered the Flameburger platter with fries & coleslaw. When I got back to my office with the food, I opened up the container to find a burger with no bun. Is that normal for this place, or did they just forget mine? Thankfully, it came with some toast on the side, so I used that in place of a bun. The burger was actually delicious, as was the coleslaw and fries, so 4 stars! Minus one star for the missing bun. :(

Austin L.

Yelp
I was sort of skeptical of this little place, but after sitting down amid the quaint diner decor, my family ended up having an excellent meal. One of the best burgers anywhere in the cities, outstanding staff (and watching the short order cook at work with an open kitchen set-up, really cool!), and a great amount of food for the price! Strongly recommend stopping by! (P.S. smells a little like a grease trap, but totally worth the food)

Julia M.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were looking for some food to get delivered, but everything was closed so we gave this place a shot, and the food was great !

Robin G.

Yelp
Kissed by perfection! Our server was just over the top nice and made us feel welcomed. Enthusiastic and always on top of things. I wish I caught her name. Pancakes were so spongy and yummy. I had to eat all six. HAD TO. The ranch was as expected. Perfectly tasty and classic. Hash browns weren't on point but that bacon made everything right. Super sunrise was huge! You could get lost in deep delicious thought and forget what clean hands are. I love both Flameburger locations but I'm very glad to attend this one. The menu offers a larger variety and even has ice cream. So win-win all around.
