The Miami Flanigan’s Power Rankings - Miami - The Infatuation

"Wait time on a random Saturday at 8pm: 30-45 mins We’ve tried the rib rolls from nearly every Miami location, and the ones at the Kendall Flanigan’s were the best. But we also discovered an entirely new favorite Flanigan’s order here: the pasta caesar (not to be confused with the caesar salad, pasta salad, or plain old salad salad). And now, not unlike the colorful lures displayed on the booth dividers, we’re hooked on it. But another thing we enjoy about this Flanigan’s is the hidden back patio—the perfect place to sit at a long picnic bench that looks like it was constructed from an old kitchen prep table while enjoying a cool winter night under a giant American flag. Plus, it’s completely covered and quite a bit quieter back there. It’s also where you’ll find the liquor store ventanita, connected to the Big Daddy’s next door." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Highly recommend! They had an hour wait for a table so we got take out instead of a table. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. The tilapia was awesome. It was breaded thinly which is what I was looking for and it was in a cream sauce which was perfect. The nachos were huge with tons of toppings so no dry nachos. You definitely need a couple people for the nachos since they are huge!

It was a bit loud and ai couldn't have a proper conversation, but it seem to be the norm for the establishment so I understood. Theee were no outside waiters but that is a great option for anyone who don't care for the noise. We got the pitcher of drink which came with loaded nachos on that particular day as a special. I love their daily specials. We also ordered a few other items which were good and very filling. The service was great and we had no issues at all.

I’ve always loved the rib rolls and dolphin fingers at Flanigan’s. I don’t live in the state anymore, but every time I come home to visit, I genuinely look forward to them. It’s one of those nostalgic food cravings I dream about. Unfortunately, this last visit was a huge letdown. I’ve attached a photo because the food was just disappointing and honestly kind of gross. The rib rolls weren’t crunchy like they usually are, just a greasy, soggy mess. And not giving a lemon wedge or even tartar sauce with the dolphin fingers? That’s sacrilegious. I get that times are tough, but this felt like they were cutting corners in all the wrong places. I made sure to get there on time so my food wouldn’t be sitting, and I still had to wait, so it wasn’t a timing issue. On a positive note, the service was pleasant and the atmosphere was just as great as I remember. It’s just a shame the food didn’t live up to the rest of the experience.

This restaurant on the kendall area has the good food of Flanigan with the well nown and classicall atmosphere but also they have Megan a waitress who is excellent on the hospitality business. I went casually to this place and for our lucky day this kind and professional person give to us the best treatment and recommendations. Congratulations to all the Kendall team and to the franchise please replicate the Megan way. The price for the food is very affordable; plenty of food.

Great experience at this Flanigan’s location. From the hostess Taylor who welcomed us with a big smile to our server Carla and the mgr Nate. They made of our night out a very special moment! The food was incredible and it came out promptly. Definitely recommend!

I normally visit this Kendall location with family and clients, and had pleasant experience, until today. We had a party of 6 for lunch. After we finished our meals I enquire the server about the ongoing promotion (which is clearly advertised at the entrance of the restaurant) of expending over $100 getting a $20 Dollar credit. Our bill was over $178 US. Our server stated that they had runout of vouchers, therefore we needed to order ONLINE?. I asked the server to please ask her manager about the advertising in front of the restaurant. A few minutes later while we were leaving the restaurant, a young lady by the name of Dayanis Hernandez whom claimed to be the general manager stated in a very disingenuous manner, " oh well we runout of voucher as the promotion is limited as available ". I replied saying, "very well, you should remove the two big signs posted at the entrance, as the signs don't specified about limitations. It can be construed as misleading advertisement". Ms. Hernandez responded in a very rude manner...yes we will be removing the signs and in a very derogatory manner stated "hope you have a pleasant Merry Christmas". I replied saying " excuse me...are you trying to be smart-ass with me? She responded "Oh not with a very arrogant smile. I have been in the hospitality industry for many years, and had never confronted with such vulgar approach, specially from a person whom is supposed to be a General Manager. I am very disappointed and very surprised to see such a successful company such as Flanigans allowing their staff members to use such poor judgment and low skills customer's approach. I hope corporate look into this matter carefully and try to train their manager(s) to have a more friendly and honorable approach towards customers. Its not about the money....its about the principle...appreciation towards the most valuable asset in the hospitality industry....The Client. Best regards, Diego Garcia

I had a disappointing experience with the host staff. When I arrived, I was told that seating 11 people inside was fine. However, when the table was ready, the staff changed their attitude and said we had to sit outside, even though it was around 6°C. What bothered me most was that I was treated as if this situation was my fault, even though it was their mistake to tell me that having 11 people inside was okay in the first place. The food was good and the brownie was yummy, but the way we were treated made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Our waitress was kind atleast.

I’ve been a flanigans regular for a while now and I always come here for lunch and have noticed some new people here and from what i can tell.. I can definitely say that Ashley the hostess was very welcoming and attentive this past Friday morning and made sure we were okay with our seating. Our server Mikel was amazing too and would check up on us every second as well. Great people that provided great service keep them here.
