Flip-Your-Own Pancakes Spot Getting Close in North Park - Eater San Diego

"North Park’s newest, and largest, breakfast haunt is arriving in late summer with an emphasis on interactive morning eats. Flap Your Jacks’ University Avenue storefront will spotlight its featured dish, with a facade designed to resemble a stack of pancakes that comes complete with a crowning drizzle of syrup. Inside, guests will be greeted by a custom art installation made from thousands of hanging spatulas. The modern, light-filled space will be done in natural wood with greenery and planters placed throughout the restaurant. Open daily from 7 a.m, to 3 p.m., the 4,200-square-foot, 180-seat eatery, which includes a mezzanine seating area, will have griddles on all its tables where diners will be able to cook their own personalized pancakes, choosing from different toppings and flavors of homemade batter which will also be available in vegan and gluten-free options. But the menu will offer more than just pancakes, extending to omelets, frittatas, and eggs Benedicts plus Mexican breakfast and brunch plates like chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and mole enchiladas. A full cocktail bar will mix up boozy brunch drinks as well as fresh squeezed juices and health-focused “energy shots”." - Candice Woo

We went here as a group of 12 on a lunch time. It was a bit busy so we needed to split on 2 tables with 6 persons each. It was a fun experience for the kids to design their own pancake. You need to have at least two colors to really be able to design something cool, we had white, brown and red. Make sure to not make a big design or the pancake might not cook properly or become very hard to flip.

Google
The grill your own pancake batter is kinda thin. It’s more for fun than for a satisfying breakfast. The prepared food is pretty solid though. This place is probably more like a 3.5 but I’m feeling generous and I think we will definitely come back. It does get crowded on weekends but that’s to be expected.

My first visit here was just last week in 2025, even though this place has been on my list since it opened. The resturant idea is unique and the vibe is fresh, and now I completely understand the hype. It’s definitely a must-visit, whether for a fun date or a family outing with kids. Trust me, your kids will thank me! They’ll love creating their own pancake designs, which keeps them entertained while you enjoy some uninterrupted conversation. Time flies here—I even found myself having fun making pancake shapes! Don’t overlook the other breakfast items, though. They deserve more recognition. I took some leftovers home, and they were still delicious the next day—a rare feat for breakfast food! The manager and staff were incredibly friendly. Despite arriving 30 minutes late for our reservation, they seated us within minutes. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but this place is a gem! Parking might be challenging as the place is in the cemetery of North Park. Be prepared to park few blocks around.

Google
I took my two tween/teen girls out for pancakes at the unique restaurant. They had a lot of fun making their pancakes and creative silly in their designs. The food was ok, the best part was the interactive nature of the food experience.

Google
I’ve been here a few times. The place is cute with spatula decorations. The concept is great. My kids like going there to make their own pancakes. I’m not a fan as I care more about the taste. I think they are ok. I had corn beef harsh and it was good. I like that they used sliced corned beef instead of canned. The chilaquiles were tasty. The service was ok, not really welcoming. Usually there’s a long wait so be prepared.

Google
This place never disappoints! I have now visited over 5 times with various people and various times and always get great service and food. The menu is perfect for pancake and brunch items plus an array of beverages and breakfast cocktails. Its a great place for kids or a different spot to meet up with friends who cant decide what to eat!

Google
Flap Your Jacks offers a fun and innovative experience that's perfect for kids. The idea of making your own pancake designs and experimenting with colors is fantastic. It was also nice to see some customer creations showcased on the TVs. It's definitely a very kid-friendly spot and an exciting activity for families. That said, I think the execution could use some work. With such a great concept, the presentation could be a bit more polished, and the staff could be more thorough in explaining the process. I ordered from a regular breakfast menu: eggs and potatoes and wasn’t too impressed. I also understand that it is not bad for this price point. My biggest concern was that the pancakes are cooked on plastic trays, overall I expected a bit more elevated experience beyond the dramatic and cool entrance.

@flapyourjacks is a place where you have so much fun while enjoying your delicious breakfast 😍. Cooking your creative pancake is the key in there 😉😉 The restaurant itself is so cute, people there are so friendly and wearing the smile all the time. Highly recommended to have a fun morning with your family and kids ☺️

Yelp
Everything went well!!!! The food was great and the service was phenomenal. I love going here! It's so beautiful too! Great place for brunch.

Yelp
I LOVE Flap Your Jacks. It is my favorite place to go from sunny days to rainy afternoons. I love pancakes and going here is so much fun. I bring all my friends and family, not everyone always has a blast, but I definitely do. They even featured my pancake once on the television!

Yelp
Pretty neat place! We came across this place walking around in North Park. We were seated very quickly and our waiter was helpful as it was our first time here. The vibe is family friendly if you want to bring your kids. The best part was being able to make your own pancakes. Many batters and topping to choose from too! Definitely recommend to give this place a try.
google avatar

Yelp
The service is friendly, food is good, and brings out home vibes. Wide variety for those with a sweet or savory preference for breakfast/brunch. The in table griddle was fun for the kids and adults. Pricing is reasonable. Made reservations through app and arrived with only a 5 min wait. Parking isn't great but for locals within walking distance, this is a convenient and great place to stop.

Yelp
Adding to my previous review from 2 years ago: Went with my two year old and husband and it was fun and interactive way for her to have fun and experience cooking. I definitely recommend for young kids. Downside is street parking so we got there early before having to deal with traffic and looking for parking!

Yelp
Came here to say for breakfast and the line was pretty long but they work fast and you wont have to wait . Especially if you put yourself on their waitlist. Price for food is great and the portions were enough. Service could have been better but ehh it was decent. Will come back again .

Yelp
Flap Your Jacks is always a fun time with the fam when we're visiting San Diego! We came here on a Sunday morning and our party of 5 didn't have to wait long for a table. The customizable pancakes that you cook yourself on the table's built in griddle are the star of the menu, but since the kids in our family usually order that and have enough for leftovers, we like trying the other dishes on the menu. This time I ordered corned beef hash. I liked it but I should have read the menu more closely. It says they use thinly sliced corned beef but I'm used to finely chopped. It was still really good though, and the flavor was spot on! Their potatoes were especially delicious! We also had the Peppa Benedict and Huevos Con Chorizo, which were so good they all joined the clean plate club. The kids both decided to order Oreo batter for their pancakes, so we weren't able to make any interesting designs with pancakes since there was no contrast in color. But they still had fun! Our server was very friendly and helpful, and the decor inside is cute. I enjoyed the fun wall images of athletes holding giant spatulas the most. Downside is that finding street parking is a challenge sometimes.

Yelp
I have to say the food is very good and the price is perfect for the portion. I really like the service and drinks/food came out quickly. It's a great place to sit outside and enjoy people watching. It's a great space all in all. Very relaxing.

Yelp
Cute unique place where you can make your own pancakes! We joined the Yelp waitlist for a party of 3 and waited around 20 mins to be called and seated around 11 am. We ordered the Juliette brioche french toast, mole enchiladas, breakfast sandwich and FYO pancakes with red velvet and banana batter. The portions were huge! I liked the French toast the most, it was deliciously sweet, thick and moist. The DIY pancakes were fun and they gave us a lot of batter.
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
We joined the Yelp waitlist and waited around 20 minutes for a group of 3 at Sunday 11AM. We shared the DIY pancakes and got the red velvet and banana flavors. I also got the breakfast sandwich ($14.95) and it was huge and came with arugula and potatoes which I enjoyed! The sandwich wasn't as crunchy as I'd like it to be. My favorite was actually the Juliette French toast, the fruit and whipped cream was delicious! Service was good but a little slow

Yelp
Stopped here quick on a Sunday after visiting the flea market down the street. We were able to walk in and be seated which they have outdoor, indoor with one and two stories. You can pay to cook your own pancakes or order off the menu. We didn't feel like pancakes so we all ordered off the menu. To make pancakes it's 10$ for a batter, $2 per mixed topping, $2 per topping, and $2 drench sauce. Service was pretty fast here and we weren't finding ourselves waiting too long for anything. Food was pretty good and eggs well cooked to over easy. Toast was a little too hard for my liking but still yummy. The table space is kind of limited due to the griddle in the middle of the area so a little tight. We saw some people making their pancakes and it looked fun but I'm not sure if I could justify the price compared to doing it at home. Plenty of families though here with little kids and I'd assume it may be easier and more fun for them to experience. Not a bad breakfast spot!

Yelp
One of my family top favorite place to go for breakfast. The big draw for them is making their own pancakes on the flat top griddle. Their favorite flavors is the buttermilk, Oreo and Red velvet. They are fine with the free syrup that comes with it. Sometimes we opt in to get the toppings. Watch the screens for different ideas on what other people have created. There are tables that can accommodate big parties, booths and they also have outdoor seating. If you want to make pancakes you have to sit inside. Service has always been good when we go. Attentive, friendly and good team work. Parking Free street parking or North Park Garage. Parking is $1 an hour. My favorite foods: * Wilbur Benedict: I have a hard time straying from this because I enjoy it so much. The pork belly is crisp on the outside and tender in the inside. I enjoy watching slicing the poach egg and soaking it to everything else on the plate. It makes the homemade cheese biscuit even better. The chipotle hollandaise sauce is wonderful. * Juliette Brioche French Toast: I came in famished and ordered the Wilbur Benedict and this. The server warned me it was big. So I asked my son to share it along with his plate. We couldn't finish it. It's topped with fresh berries, whipped cream and vanilla bean syrup. Now I order it by itself with bacon and still have to share. * The Cube: It's a brioche square cube filled with chocolate ganache, topped with banana slices, whipped cream and vanilla syrup. We have eaten this as a dessert. * Loaded Omelet: My son always gets this with his pancakes. It has bacon, sausage, mozzarella, cheese and your choice of a toast. We discovered this place thanks to a Yelp perk and thanks to that we have been coming ever since. We like to bring out of town guests. My kids always ask to come to make their pancakes on the griddle. Service is always great . We will keep coming back.
google avatar

Ling L.

Yelp
The Wilbur Benedict had a nice thick slice of bacon-which we weren't expecting! Sauce was great. Hash browns were decent, could be crispier. Cinnamon roll was very delicious :))) wouldn't recommend if you DON'T have a sweet tooth though A lot of families come here for their flap your own jacks option, so don't be surprised if it gets a little loud in there!

Yelp
We had a party of 15 gather at Flap Your Jacks. I had never been so I didn't know that they are know for guests being able to make their own pancakes. I decided not to do that but a few folks in our party decided to do that. It looked pretty fun; maybe something I would do on a first date. Getting the reservation set up was great. They are able to seat large parties. Initially we planned to have 24 people and they were prepared to seat us at that time with a reservation. Weekdays are the days you can get a reservation. No reservations on weekends because they get pretty busy. After spending a meal here, I could see that this would also be great for parents who don't want to clean up after making pancakes with their kids. Our servers were great and attentive. They even took a group photo for us. The food was pretty good! I enjoyed my three egg omelette and it was enough food to last me two meals. I believe out of all the meals, the people who made their own pancakes had the most fun lol.

Yelp
I've been to Flap Your Jacks a couple of times and while I see how the novelty of creating your own pancakes on the table griddle can be fun, I prefer their other dishes. The apple strudel pancakes were delicious but I also recommend ordering a side of breakfast potatoes, which are perfectly seasoned and add a nice touch of something savory to an otherwise sweet meal. I had a big group of girls join me for brunch and I was so happy that Flap Your Jacks was able to accommodate us last minute when my previous brunch spot fell through.

Natalie T.

Yelp
This wasn't what I was expecting, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You get pancake batter in squirt bottle and make them yourself using the hot griddle at each table. The novelty of it made it a pretty fun experience and the chocolate chip pancakes I made were pretty good. One bottle of batter was enough for me and two others, so the price was good. The main downside was the quality of the interior. It gave off a bit of a cheap vibe and seemed kind of chaotic. I think it would be a fun place for parents to bring kids, but I was looking for more brunch vibes.

Luke S.

Yelp
Tristan was our server who's at the bar, literally amazing so nice. everything was quick and the burger was unreal, so good! He's really easy on the eyes too so that made it even more special!

Ava R.

Yelp
I have been to this place over 5 times and they never disappoint. Service is extremely fast and any food I have ever ordered is delicious and high quality. Favorite breakfast spot in SD!!

Yelp
I love this place. I joined the waitlist for our first visit. We had someone in our party run into parking issues (it is PACKED in North Park on weekends; nothing new). The hostess and restaurant was SUPER understanding and seated 2 of 3 of us. We were able to start ordering and enjoying the delicious mimosas and the delicious cinnamon roll while our guest was able to secure parking. We ordered the Chilaquiles, potatoes, and the Wilbur Benedict. Unfortunately, they ran out of Vegan Pancake Batter so our guest could only have the potatoes. We did order strawberry pancake batter to try it out. Being able to cook the pancakes to our liking was fun. The batter was a bit thin, but the thrill was in the cooking and the dining with each other. Our server was extra awesome and we appreciated him. I believe his name was Sean. He definitely made our experience wonderful. The hostess lady was also very customer service oriented and she gave advice about the $1/hr parking garage nearby for our guest to try out. We will surely return. The Wilbur Benedict was delicious, the Chilaquiles could have used more chips, and the Bellini and mimosas were AWESOME.

KayleeAnn D.

Yelp
The food was not good and it actually made us sick. We ordered the chorizo and the build your own pancake and we regret ever coming down to this place. Service was ok
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Server was fine. The food came out quickly. The place was cute. But the food seriously lacked flavor. How is chorizo bland? Idk but they did it. Wouldn't return.
google avatar

Tulita U.

Yelp
Boring! Might be good with kids. Just okay food. Found a hair in our drinks. Nothing extra about the pancake batter. Only fun when you placed items in it that cost more.
google avatar

Chanel Y.

Yelp
This is the perfect breakfast spot for a date! It can be interactive while also getting some good food out of it. While they definitely pride themselves on the flapjacks, there is also an extensive menu with other breakfasts like cinnamon rolls and eggs Benedict. But when I come here, I usually opt for the flapjacks. I love that there are always plenty of flavors and toppings to choose from to make your experience a yummy one! Highly recommend for a date or even if you have kiddos!
google avatar

Loretta H.

Yelp
If you're ever in the North Park area in San Diego, you definitely want to visit Flap Your Jacks . It's a brunch style restaurant where you prepare your own pancakes with a variety of batters and toppings. So cool and the kids really love it. Their menu also includes brunch style dishes if you're not feeling like pancakes. I had the Reuben Benedict and it was delicious! Service was great and the ambiance was nice. The decor on the ceiling were hot pink spatulas which is cute. Definitely check them out
google avatar

Candace C.

Yelp
Very long wait times on weekends, but you can join the waitlist on Yelp first in the app and check in at the restaurant to secure your place in line. Yelp app more accurate than the text I received way after we were seated. Sadly, the food was INEDIBLE, the egg breakfast savory dishes we ordered were not good whatsoever. (see pics I added for reference) I could only eat the poached eggs on my Wilbur Benedict. Potatoes were stale, spinach burnt, pork belly was all fat and the biscuits underneath had a strange texture. The breakfast sandwich was soaked with so much mayo the bread was too wet and soft. This was extremely messy, greasy and over-salted/sauced. Our server was fine, but she didn't say a single thing about my barely touched plate nor asked if I wanted a box... we just paid and left. The one star was for the concept of pancakes, we had fun making ugly shapes but as adults likely will not be back given wait times and overall experience of food/taste. There's an appeal for kids but $9 for a batter and then you have to pay $2 for any mix-in or topping?! We only ordered the strawberries and got the red velvet batter. They give you regular syrup in a messy metal container that dropped all over our table and some frozen butter without an extra charge. This restaurant is making a killing with their batters and we as the guests are cooking these for ourselves.
google avatar

Ellie S.

Yelp
This place is fun, but remember that places that have a gimmick typically have a host of other issues. My first issue is the pricing and value for what you get. My friend came a while back ago and said they cut down the size of their squeeze bottles almost by half. It's criminal that they charge $2 more for any toppings considering how expensive everything already is. We ended up getting one squeeze bottle and one plate of the eggs benedict and it was so mid. The pork belly didn't really complement the eggs that well and they did not give enough hollandaise sauce. Sure the experience was fun, but with the little batter you get, you can't make that much and I personally don't think it's worth it. This place could be good if they didn't charge gimmick prices. Service was good, no complaints. The waitlist can get pretty long but there's a few shops around.
google avatar

Danielle T.

Yelp
The concept is so cool! Love this for kids especially, really interactive for small groups. They have a huge menu with lots of variety and great tasting food. The service was super helpful and informative, fast too! Parking wasnt too bad, area was nice. Only thing was a couple of homeless people near the cars. Would recommend.
google avatar

Gabriela Q.

Yelp
It was a pretty decent breakfast. The enchiladas were probably the best dish we got. The pancakes didn't have much flavor and tasted as if they weren't cooked properly. The chilaquiles, the green sauce was better than the red. There are no griddles outside so if you wanted to make your own, you'd have to sit inside. Service was good. Our server was very attentive and price point was fair.
google avatar

Kimberley D.

Yelp
Breakfast with Hubby. Parking was a challenge as they took all the street parking away on University Avenue but Hubby managed to find a space about a block away. Well, what can I say? The food was great! Our server was great but the staff in front do need a little help with their customer service. We got there early enough to beat the crowd and still waited about 20 minutes which was okay. I had the Juliette Brioche French Toast and it was great and let me tell you the whipped mascarpone cream was yummmmmy Hubby had the Chilaquiles Los Mero Meros and they were very tasty and crunchy. I would say that this is a must try for your list. Bon appetite ‍
google avatar

Zen X.

Yelp
Bad business practice! They are charging more than what it says on the menu. I'm so tired of places doing this and consumers have to keep their eyes open. The menu says one price but they take the menu away after your order and ring you up for a higher price! If you want to raise the prices you need to update the menu!

Heather R.

Yelp
Got a meat lovers omelette. It was delicious. It came with a giant slice of buttered sourdough and potatoes. Very good sized portion could definitely share. No one ordered the pan asked but I think the novelty of cooking your own pancakes at the table is cool. I would come back.
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. My kids keep asking me to take them here all the time!! This place is so much fun! Love how you can design your pancakes. Of course we had to monitor and help our kids (4 years old to 9 years old), but they did great designing it and had so much fun. Parking - street parking or paid parking lots. Interior decor - so cool and unique! Looking at the picture - love the decor. The ceiling spatula is cool. There's also so many areas you can take cute pictures. There's a roomy inside waiting area in the front of the restaurant dining area. The dining area - there's a lot of tables/seating area. Impressive decor and clean. Service - amazing. They are so attentive. We came with our kids and they were always checking on us. Food - So .. places that specialize in a certain food - I sometimes think that the other foods would not be good... but this place proved me wrong. Every food that we tried is SO GOOD here. Ordered: * Flap your Jacks - batter - red velvet, oreo, chocolate with marshmallow and strawberries - super good. They give a lot of batter - a bottle each. * North Park Breakfast - my girls loved it, especially the potatoes - seasoned well. * Power Frittatas - Portions are large! I shared this with a friend and I was surprised when she told me my portion was half. They give so much food. Also, I typically don't eat breakfast and eggs sometimes makes my stomach hurt, so either I don't eat breakfast or eat half of my plate.. but I ate the whole thing and I wanted more.. I recommended this plate. Overall - COME TO THIS PLACE. Love it.
google avatar

Xenia A.

Yelp
This place accommodated me and 8 other friends! I wish I had 4 more stomachs so I could have room for making more pancakes! The food I was able to try was really delicious (burger and bites of the French toast & vegan pancakes). It looks like it does get busy so highly recommend going earlier or joining the waitlist. I wish there was a spot like this in Long Beach/OC!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
The service was poor. Despite being the first party to arrive with a group of nine, including five young children, the staff was inattentive. We had to call them multiple times to order and pay. They placed food in front of the kids without proper plates and provided soggy straws that required peeling. If tipping only the kitchen were an option, we would have preferred that. The food was okay. Making our own pancakes was fun, but the batter was runny and took a long time to cook. You pay an extra $2 for a small cup of whipped cream. The French toast cubes were good, though there was too much bread compared to the Nutella filling. The burrito was dry, and the bacon was a bit burnt.
google avatar

René C.

Yelp
This place is located in the North Park area where finding parking can be quite difficult, we were looking to get some breakfast/lunch so we decided to try it. The place is nice and each table has like a pan to cook your pancakes in case you get that option. We ordered: - Babe Benedict.- the poached eggs were cooked perfectly but the lemon hollandaise sauce was very sour so I didn't like it and the breakfast potatoes were overcooked and burnt. - Chilaquiles los Meros Meros.- ordered with half green salsa which was good and the other half with red sauce which I don't recommend (too bland without flavor). It comes with very little refried beans at bottom. This plate was a big disappointment. I think this place is good if you have kids and want them to cook their own pancakes for fun.
google avatar

Rachel V.

Yelp
So fun! Make your own pancakes at the table! The French toast was huge and delicious! Breakfast was made to order and nice and hot. They accidentally made scrambled instead of over medium, then replaced them quickly with nothing but grace.
google avatar

Stacy R.

Yelp
Looooooved this spot!!!! The food was delicious!!!! Seating was great, not cramped but appropriately spaced out. The pancake batter was to die for!!! The service was not so great though I don't know what is going on with these young ppl. The table was dirty and sticky though. The server was nice but not attentive and made us feel either ignored or rushed. The most she spoke to us was at the end when it was time to close the tab. It's the only reason I didn't give more stars. The concept is great. You essentially make your own pancakes. I will add that the toppings are waaaaaay overpriced. You pay over $2 for 2 strawberries and less than half of a banana.
google avatar

Kaylaa A.

Yelp
Decent. I wasn't really impressed my first time eating here, but the atmosphere & service is good. Definitely a twist on preparation of your own pancake which is great to interact with the space. Personally, I thought it was a little too compact for the amount of furniture and people, but it doesn't take away from the experience. Try it out. I think I need to reattempt my experience. I got a lunch item and I honestly think Denny's would've been better. I will order breakfast to gain a better understanding of what this place highlights.
google avatar

Cheyanne A.

Yelp
Cute breakfast spot, we went for Father's Day brunch and the wait time was on par with the waitlist time listed. Love the concept of making your own pancake designs, appreciated the inspiration photos on the screens. Savory menu items were pretty basic breakfast staples as well.
google avatar

Jake T.

Yelp
A really fun place to go to! The main attraction is that you are able to build your own pancakes! The price is reasonable but you are given plenty of batter in order to make your pancakes. We added peanut butter and bananas as sides to our pancakes which came at a bit of a charge. We also ordered the Wilbur Benedict. The pork belly was absolutely massive and I would for sure come back just to order the Wilbur Benedict again. The hollandaise was pretty good and the eggs were cooked well. I enjoyed the hash brown as well. There is plenty of food and honestly I was pretty full after eating here. The service was great. We went during brunch and although it was pretty busy, they were very kind. There understandably was a bit of a wait but I think that it was worth it overall. The ambiance is pretty nice. It is really clean and there are many booths to sit at.

Yelp
I have been here a few times (friends asked to go each time) and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are really looking for something cute and a bit different. It's a very cute idea making your own pancake art. The batter is not good. The ambiance is lively and fun. The French toast was dry and had no flavor, but the mascarpone was acceptable. Our friends ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and the croissants looked old and flat. We really enjoyed the service, she was mostly attentive to us. We went with a group of eight of us and with more than six there's an automatic 18% gratuity, which we knew, and our waitress let us know that we did not have to tip her on top of that which was kind and surprising to see. Fun experience, but not good food.

Yelp
The experience for the kids making their own pancakes it's fun and entertaining.. The breakfast is actually pretty good, the service was quick and easy since we did arrive as soon as they opened. They do get crazy busy, would recommend getting there early.

Yelp
The idea of this place is super cute! You get to create your own pancakes on a given skillet and have the choice of batter and additional toppings. They give you a squeeze bottle filled with batter that you can get creative with. We chose: - Buttermilk Batter (3/5): Flavor was decent but bland, nothing special. - Toppings (3/5): We got bananas, strawberries, and chocolate syrup. Bananas were mushy, and to be honest, the price for these added toppings were not justified for what we got. They also charge extra for maple syrup, just FYI. - FYJ Hash browns (4/5): We added this in to get a little saltiness in our meal and it balanced out well Service was okay, we came on a weekday morning and it wasn't too busy but only saw our server at the beginning and end of our meal and we wanted to add more items in between but gave up trying to get our server's attention. Overall, if you have kids or want to do it for the experience, then this is a great place to go. Otherwise, I've had better brunch places.

Yelp
Don't come here unless you want sub-par pancakes and only pancakes. These were fun to make but more for the kids. The other dishes were not good. My French toast came out cold, burger was too raw for my tasting, and service was very average. The corn beef hash wasn't a hash and just slices of chewy meat. They seemed to rush things since it was a busy Saturday. The concept is cool but wouldn't come back.

Yelp
I just don't think this place is worth your time or money. I get the idea, it is fun and cool, but you could get so much better at home. The pancake batter is just so terrible, and tastes like nothing. I found that there was just too much oil, and the pans don't get hot enough. We also tried the french toast, it was not that great, pretty flavorless, and just not worth the calories. The service was pretty quick, we got everything we ordered in a matter of minutes. The idea is really fun, and if you're looking for more of an experience than for good food, then this is the place for you.

Yelp
Is it customary for your servers to steal money from your patrons? We were there this morning at roughly 10:30, when I handed the server (black hoodie, baseball hat, brown hair and facial hair) my card to pay he took it and taped it on his handheld device. He handed my card back to me and then flipped the device to face me and said 'all I need is your signature and you're good to go' I went to scribble my signature on the fingerpad but I stopped when I noticed that he had selected the 20% tip box himself. Are you serious?! Since when do servers select their own tip percentage? Especially since he barely checked on us, sat us a table that had near empty condiment bottles and spent all of his time hanging out at the bar with the bartender. this is so disappointing. We will not be back. We will go to a place that doesn't try to steal from their patrons. Also, it was only me and my boyfriend there. There is a policy of an automatic 18% gratuity added for parties of 6 or larger, so for him to try to tip himself 20% which is more than for a large party is crazy work. I wonder how many other people he's done this to.
