Yelp
I have been telling myself to stop every Thursday for awhile and it always seems something comes up when intending to stop at Flatbed Farms. Thankfully tonight, I made it a priority to stop by and take a peek at what they have to offer. Immediately upon parking, you get a sense that this is a environmentally friendly scene, beautiful landscapes, and seems to be very conscious when it comes to farming based off what I could see. Parking is quite simple, but make sure when entering that cars behind you see that you are turning as it is located right off a busy highway.
When you park, you will also notice the large barn where are the magic is located! You are immediately greeted with fresh produce, a tasting station, fresh eggs, herbs, home goods, etc. It seems they have everything you need for a wonderful vegetarian meal! As with organic food, obviously it tends to be a tad bit more expensive, but after tasting some of the goods, it is well worth it. Quite honestly the cost is pretty much on par with most other organic farmers stands though. The best part for me were the wonderful ladies who were working at the time who had a plethora of knowledge on all of the items that they were selling. They did also mention that on the second day that they are open (Sunday), it tends to be busier as the bring in local pastries and coffee, which in return brings in a nice size crowd. So if you are looking for a quick stop, it seems Thursdays are the time to go.
I for one cannot wait to stop by and buy some more goodies as this is a great stop for me on my way home from work. Linking the Facebook page as well since Yelp is not allowing me to link it as their "official" site. https://www.facebook.com/flatbedfarm/
