The Best Places To Eat In East Atlanta Village - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Whether you’re in the mood for day-drinking or late-night “brewsing,” Flatiron is a chill little neighborhood bar where you can get a reliably good beer. Hit it for lunch or an early dinner, and you’ll be one of only a few folks sitting by the windows watching runners zip by on the sidewalk. It’s ballsy to tout your own food as famous, but “Our Famous Chicken Egg Rolls” earn the label, expertly fusing traditional chicken salad and Asian flavors. Things ramp up at night, when it’s not unusual to see people spilling out of the tiny wood-paneled interior and hanging out on the sidewalk. If you can’t find a spot, head upstairs to The Trophy Room, which houses an additional bar, darts, and a pool table, and order the jalapeno chili mac and cheese bowl from the late-night menu." - juli horsford

We opened our office in Flatiron City in May. It's not just a beautiful building, but the management is absolutely terrific. Katie and Arun take great care of everyone, and it feels more like a family than simply an office. We looked at a number of office spaces in Atlanta before deciding on Flatiron City - including Industrious in Ponce City Market, the Atlanta Tech Village, and others. The combination of quality, value, and genuine caring is second to none. I recommend Flatiron city to anyone looking for a great place to base and grow their business. We're very happy here.

One of the best workplaces I've ever had the pleasure to work in. The space is gorgeous, facilities fantastic and building management are particularly friendly, thoughtful and awesome.

FlatironCity is in the heart of Downtown Atlanta and centrally located to pretty much everything. We moved our company Launch there in January 2016 and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. The building has historic charm while modern with technology and there are lots of cool events on a regular basis at the Microsoft Innovation Center. The staff at Flatiron are excellent, from management to security + now with the addition of Figo and the lobby restaurants, there's no need to leave the building if the weather gets a little flakey :) - come by for a visit.

Our office has been at the Flatiron Building for several months now and everyone is enthusiastic about being there. The building speaks for itself. It is the antithesis of the faceless cubicle work space. Building management is always around and actively engaging with tenants. They know many of the tenants by name. They actively promote activities for tenants and among tenants. Close proximity to two Marta stations makes for easy accessible. Because this is a Microsoft technology hub the building is full of engaging people with interesting ideas.

FlatironCity is a great refuge from the minimalist, Ikea-inspired purgatory of modern offices. It has lots of windows, a welcoming atmosphere (that's also mercifully quiet), and a fantastic location. It feels like a place where work actually gets done. Highly recommended!

FlatironCity is one of the most beautiful office buildings downtown. A decade ago I used to work in the building and it blows me away how wonderfully it has been restored. Their coworking/office spaces are equally modern and elegant and the 1st floor coffee shop is a hidden gem for downtown meetings (get the house cappuccino - it has a touch of chocolate). They host local meetups and are home to the WEI incubator and the Microsoft Innovation Lab. A lot of really neat stuff under one funky shaped roof!

If you plan to be stationary for a while, the space is great but good lord that elevator take a century to go up and down. I was standing at the elevator saying my goodbyes to a client and didn't step inside in time. I was pressing the down button as the door was slowly closing and nope...it closed anyway. It was 10 minutes before the elevator came back up. Bet I won't miss that elevator again.

I have no idea what was going on but my boyfriend and I got to see a live band perform. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. It was an event you had to pay for that served Rosa'a pizza and drinks.

Yelp
Review of the food: I've eaten there three times. FIGO to go is great. Quick tasty pasta meal, great ravioli and sauces. Caffe 1897 is basically a coffee stand with a few snack/sweet options. I'm not a coffee drinker, but seems to need a few more food options to be viable. Had lunch today from Kitchen 13. My pork sandwich was good, enjoyable, but I'd recommend a little higher pork/cabbage ratio. While it was a tasty sandwich, it was missing much influence from the pork. Could use a little kick too, maybe a dash of carolina sauce on the pork? The Broccoli and Potato soup was tasty but too salty and too thin. The house made chips were tasty but not hot and more chewy than cripsy - like I got yesterday's leftovers instead of today's fresh made. Overall I have high hopes for this place. It is a great concept. Just needs a little more work on the execution of the food items.
