Respectfully, this was just ok. Visually and flavorally, the bowl gave me ghost kitchen vibes (ordered delivery) but I don’t think it is one. The chicken tawook wasn’t thrilling and a couple pieces were a bit sinewy. I liked the option to go half greens half grain (I chose couscous) but it was more like 25% greens 75% grain. The veggies were sliced like at subway which isn’t ideal for a bowl.

the food is so good! i will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. the inside is spacious and has plenty of tables. i got their trio and the price is affordable. the employees were nice too!

The food here is amazing! No trip to NY is complete without lunch here! It's filling and delicious without any guilt. Everything tastes fresh and clean. The signature sauce is a MUST!

First time diner. Unfortunately, it will be the last time. First off, I love good hummus and falafel. I’m always seeking out places that do justice to these two simple foods. Fle Fle fails on both. The hummus had no taste and the falafel was just a little better. Service was indifferent. Seating is uncomfortable. Atmosphere - one should not come to a place like this and expect it to be interesting or fun. A joint should have good food. Simply put, Fle Fle does not.

Great place for a quick and affordable Middle eastern bite. Got the beef and lamb shawarma bowl and a side of falafels. All the veggie toppings were served cold and fresh, and they were very generous with the portions. Falafel was also served right out of the oven, and it was definitely worth some wait. However, the shawarma meats were slightly disappointing as they were mostly ground meat, but they still went well with other toppings.

A very mindful and rich experience provided by the manager, Mustafa. He was very welcoming and presented me a well-put falafel pita wrap. I asked for a lot of toppings and Mustafa managed to magically wrap it all together and make it very easy for me to eat at home. He deserves a raise! I will most definitely go back for another meaningful experience.

Love this place! So happy to have discovered it. I got one bowl for $13.50 which basically served as both my lunch and dinner. It was my first time there and I was very indecisive so they let me do half chicken shawarma and half falafel for my protein (that meant two falafel). As other reviews indicate, they fry the falafel fresh each time. It was quite good but very fried so I was glad I only got a half order - a full one probably would've been too much. They also let me split the base - half rice and half couscous, which I'd also do again. Salad greens and fries are two other options. I loved the signature sauce, hummus and tzatziki. Was not as much a fan of the garlic whip as it was too garlicky for me but I bet my husband would've loved it so to each their own. I ate a little less than half my bowl for lunch after a workout and was stuffed. I nibbled on the rest throughout the day and finished it for dinner. Highly recommend and will definitely return! They have a frequent flyer punch card as well, so be sure to check that out.

Honestly, better than I expected! A solid fast causal spot and also super affordable. The falafel was made fresh to order (I saw them making the falafel balls and frying them in the back!) and was also a lot more moist than it looks. Also loved all the sauce, the jalapeño one especially. The only downside for me was, while the ingredients were fresh, they were a bit too big and harder to eat. They included whole (and huge) slices of tomatoes (instead of something like diced tomatoes), and same goes for the pickles, cucumbers, and onions. Would have been easier to eat if they chopped up the ingredients!

Ordered Fle Fle with a group delivery and I was able to try both their chicken breast and shawarma. My bowl was so filled to the brim of healthy goodness! I also got the fresh hummus, which was delicious! Sadly I could not eat the onions and had to pick them out, which I did not know was in the bowl. If I had to select I would absolutely get the shawarma. The chicken breast did not have that kick and was quite dry. Overall would order again but only the shawarma bowl.

The menu looked great, but the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. Portions were small for the price, and the seasoning was a bit off. Service was fine, but overall, it was just okay.

Flavor was really great. I love the customized bowl places, I got spring greens (I eat a ton of greens so they just didn't give enough) and the chicken shawarma. Downside is that the veggie toppings are mainly pickles, and it didn't go that well with the flavor of the greens, it did need something else to balance it. Good service and fast casual vibe. Sauces were excellent.

Pretty decent falafel and they don't restrict you on toppings so I got them all. The falafel were made fresh and nice and Krispy. Price is right. I was starving and forgot to take a pic

Came here after a morning at Bathhouse and was hungry, but craving something that felt healthy. Food here was very fresh ingredients and flavorful. It's basically like a chipotle, but with Mediterranean food. Great selection of sauces too! Limited seating, but did enjoy ourselves on a stool looking out the window front to people watch while we had our meal. Don't sleep on the fries with feta dip!

I found this hidden gem a few months ago while walking nearby. The space is very clean. I walked in together with my dog. The staff was very sweet and handed me a small cup of water for my dog. Love the service! I got the chicken shawarma. It's actually pretty good and satisfying. I'd like to come back again and try other items on the menu.

This is a legit good spot to grab a Falafel bowl. The bowls have fresh, delicious, unlimited toppings and huge hot falafels in them. At $11, this is a superb alternative to a Cava bowl. If you're hungry, go definitely all in with the toppings & add their signature sauce + muhamarra Fle Fle grill & Operation falafel are excellent spots, simple but mouthwatering options & sizeable portions - I approve & highly recommend trying them.

Probably some of the best hummus I've ever had! I ordered a chicken shawarma bowl, which was tasty. However, my only complaint is that it was a little light on the toppings for the amount of rice in the bowl. With that being said, would definitely come back again!

This is a really great Mediterranean casual restaurant with fast service and flavorful options. The thing I loved about this restaurant was that all of the food was clearly labeled with allergen information and it was really great value too (my salad came in at about $14 which is a steal these days). They do have limited seating but most orders are takeout. Service was friendly and they seem to do a booming trade through the ordering apps.

[take out] Overall, I'd say this place is very middle of the road for a chipotle-style place - not bad, not amazing. EXCEPT. THEIR FALAFELS. ARE. Amazing. so if you decide to come here, definitely get the falafels, and also some garlic whip.

This Mediterranean fast casual spot has been open in the area for a while now and today was the first time I decided to give it a try. The decor and atmosphere is clean and modern, and you order via an assembly line to pick and choose toppings, reminiscent of sweetgreen and chipotle. I got the beef and lamb shawarma which I found to be too salty, with a sort of grainy ground beef like texture. I guess I was expecting something closer to sliced meat. Perhaps next time I will try the chicken instead. The other toppings were fresh and vibrant, and I appreciate how my bowl wasn't too oily or made me feel bloated after eating. I really like the addition of the beets and the pickles. The price is higher than I would expect but the portions are more than generous. Definitely enough for a very big lunch.

This place truly fed my hungry stomach that was begging for falafel. My family and I just finished a 2 hours museum and right after I had the taste of falafel in my mouth. We walked in, there was music and a very nice environment. The workers knew what they were doing and were really helpful. We got our meals and every bite tasted amazing! The falafel, hummus, tahini, everything! My family and I definitely recommend!

Popped in for a quick bite when we were in this neighborhood, not knowing what to expect. We had a few minutes to grab something to eat before an appointment. This food is absolutely delicious!!! Fresh, tasty, healthy, quality ingredients. My daughter and I were blown away. She said the signature sauce is the best condiment she's ever tasted. Now we're gonna have to go out of our way to come back.

Love the hospitality here! Also food is bomb! They even let me use their charger to charge my phone. I recommend communicating with them when ordering a custom bowl as they go very fast.

Pros: menu choices, speedy service, takeout, desserts Cons: pricey This is a great place if you are in the mood for fast middle eastern food. They have pita bread sandwiches, salads, build your own bowl, and falafels. Add to that the ready to go extras they have by checkout like Labné yogurt, hummus, and Baba Ghanouj and you are looking at a tasty meal. We tried a pita bread sandwich and a bowl, both with chicken shawarma. For the bowl we went with Moroccan couscous. It's fair to say that the bowl easy outshined the pita sandwich. It's not that the sandwich was bad. It was delicious and I ate like I hadn't eaten in 3 days. That said, the couscous was simply amazing, and along with some topping and the chicken it felt wholesome, balanced and a explosion of flavor. As a side we went for 5 pieces of falafel. I really enjoyed them. If you like falafel, I recommend you give the ones from the location a go.

Had great delivery. Gyro sandwich on pita with side of fries. Fluffy tasty pita, lots of meat. Fries were still crispy and hot with nice flavorful seasoning. All packed well and came very fast.

This place is a gem near Chelsea that is Halal certified. They serve the cleanest, most delicious Mediterranean food ever. Their falafel is the best falafel I've ever had. Like Literally the crispiest and best seasoned everr. The workers are really friendly and happy to answer any questions/give recommendations. You can build your own bowl, add as much or as little as you like. My bowl had- half rice/half Moroccan couscous, half chicken tawook/half chicken shawarma, hummus, chickpeas, jalapeño, onions, spicy red sauce, spicy green sauce, & falafel. Also had their refreshing mint lemonade.

really great for a lunch bowl. only thing better than the food was the service. my office placed a large group order and an item was missing when it arrived. i called Fle Fle up and they not only made the item immediately, one of the workers ran over to our office to drop it off. she went above and beyond. would recommend this place 100%!!

I will say taste is subjective. So keep that in mind while reading this review. I have been doing the 'SHRED Diet' for the past few weeks. It has completely changed my taste buds and the way I eat. I was looking for a close healthy option, and saw this spot on the corner of W23rd/8th. It was crowded, but seating is limited. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma Bowl w/cous cous and signature sauce. It was busssssing* *Bussin means good YT ppl Here's where it gets tricky. I got a Mint Lemonade to drink and a Lentil Soup. Price wasn't that bad for the amount of food I got. The Mint Lemonade was really really really sweet. Some may drink it and not agree, but my tongue was shocked at the sweetness. The Lentil Soup was OD salty. The salt was the only thing I was tasting and not lentils. Yuck* I would definitely come back again; next time I will stay away from the lemonade and lentils.

You hear a lot of "it's like chipotle but for _____ food" these days. Fle-Fle is like chipotle but for Mediterranean food, and it's good! I built my own tray selecting couscous as base and beef&lamb shawarma as protein. Toppings are unlimited! I chose tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, and beets, and finished it off with hummus instead of a sauce. The couscous was warm and fresh - no clumps! The beef&lamb shawarma was lean and flavorful and not oily at all. The chickpeas were a tad too hard for my taste but I liked that they were spiced with cumin. The hummus was very smooth and creamy. Check in on Yelp for a baklava! I was offered pistachio or walnut flavors and went with pistachio. It was solid. The employees were nice and friendly. Not too big of a place but clean, and offered lemon-infused water, which is something I wish more casual eats in NYC would start doing.

Great Mediterranean restaurant with plenty of options to make your ideal bowl. Very affordable with a robust choice of veggies. One of the best food options in the neighborhood and one that I frequent a lot. You can also have it delivered and it is just as good. Service is fast, you're in and out. I never had a problem with the things I wanted to add to my bowl. Pretty sure I regularly go over the limit but never heard a peep. I've brought several friends here already.

Really a 3.5 but feeling kind.. Stopped in for a quick Friday lunch. Small corner spot with wide glass windows allowing tons of light and views for the busy 23rd Gotham street. Line was moving along well considering only 3 workers. Menu is simple, i ordered - Beef/lamb gyro on pita & lemonade White pita filled w/ ground beef and lamb? Definitely not gyro style. Packed all the way in, buried under spring salad, some kind of pickled vegetable and a few sauces - i opted for tahini, mild hot sauce and medium hot sauce, garlic butter on side. First half tasted fresh and healthy. No grease, cold, crunchy vegetables paired well with the sauces on a soft pita. The end was underwhelming. The "beef/lamb" gyro was bland/under seasoned , oily, and just... Meh. Garlic butter helped. Lemonade washed everything down well and hit the spot. Not too tart, not too sweet nor citrusy. Just wish it was more chilled instead of cool. Makes me want to come back and try their falafel (chicken looked dry). Price to portion ratio appreciated. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Fle Fle is consistently on point. I found this place when they were doing Too Good To Go (app that helps reduce food waste, check it out!) They had fire bags on Too Good To Go but sadly, I don't think they participate anymore. Anyway, I was craving their food because I already knew it was good. This bowl was around $12 and packed with delicious, fresh ingredients. The portion was generous, it easily made two meals. I ordered in advance and it was ready when I arrived. The employees were fast and friendly. This place is definitely getting added to my regular rotation.

Back in November 2021, I thought I'd grab some Popeye's on Eighth Ave/23rd Street. The line for the fried chicken sandwich was out the door, so I tried Fle Fle instead. I've never looked back. Fle Fle is delicious. Frankly, walking into Fle Fle that day turned into one of those moments where all you can do is thank whatever gods you pray to that you live in NYC. We are blessed with a City where one can try a random local spot and be rewarded with delicious food at an affordable price. My wife and I regularly order Fle Fle for delivery. I build my own bowl and my wife loves their falafel. Here's what we love: Build your own bowl - on delivery apps it comes with up to nine (9!!) toppings! Side of Falafel - five (5) falafels per order, comes with tahini or garlic whip Garlic Whip - This sh!t is addictive! So good. I order extra and add it to everything. Signature Sauce - their yogurt-based sauce is delicious. I order extra. Green Halapeno Sauce - Just the right amount of kick. Tahini - Excellent Hummos - Excellent Labne - Very Good These guys are great. I hope you give them a try. You won't regret it!!

This is overall a pretty nice spot. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The decor and atmosphere were also nice. There is also a convenient charging spot inside the restaurant but an app has to be downloaded in order to use it. My family and I did enjoy our dining experience and I do recommend it.

Flé Flé is a new Mediterranean style fast food restaurant in Chelsea and I had to give it a try. I had the Beef Shawarma veggie bowl with hummus and chili peper sauce, onions. The veggies were fresh, the hummus was very creamy and balanced, the beef could have been more seasoned but it was good nonetheless.

Ordered lunch for delivery from Fle Fle last week...here are my thoughts: 1. Falafel is top notch. The taste and texture are perfect and best of all not greasy at all. 2. Everything else that came in my bowl was really just average. The carrots were mushy, the rice was bland, and the lettuce was wilted. 3. Delivery came VERY quickly which was a nice plus. I might give Fle Fle another try as overall the reviews here seem to be excellent. Maybe they just had an off day?

Best falafel in town. I tried street food cart ones, 5 stars reviews falafel place in west village, midtown ones, but always come back to here whenever I'm craving for falafel, absolutely the best.

New Mediterranean corner spot that cooks up schwarma & falafel plates and pitas in a spiffed up key corner right next to Cinepolis. Great pice point with sit down and take out. I went with a falafel platter. Really cute packaged hummus, babaganousch and baklava. Price point is very reasonable for healthy Med. fare. Soft opening today with more options coming and always need more Med in our lives. Glad to see this spot in the 'hood. Welcome to Chelsea!

Ordered this place for takeout because I was feeling particularly hungry but in the mood for some Mediterranean. This place had good ratings and price looked good. I got the kafta sandwich with cucumber, cabbage, hummus, and lots of other greens. There's' a good amount of meat and greens on the sandwich. I like that you can also pick if you want a whole wheat or a regular sandwich (I got the whole wheat). The food was very filling, great portions! I was really happy with the fries as well, very large thick cut fries and it came with PLENTY of garlic whip dipping sauce. I really liked this meal and was super happy with the takeout.

This was one of the best falafels I have ever had! The pita was soft and warm, the hummus was delicious, and the falafel perfectly crispy.

In NYC for a trip with my daughter and she wanted to try shawarma. Here's how it went: The Good: - easy to find - seating by the windows allows you to people-watch as you eat - chicken shawarma pita was very tasty - lots of toppings and sauces to choose from - pitas are fresh-cooked, soft, and not dry - staff was friendly - flé-fries tasted like potato instead of grease The Not So Good: - staff seemed to be distracted, had to ask for the fries again since they forgot - flé-fries while good could have used more seasoning; it was hard to tell what the flavor was supposed - price: I know it's NYC, but $5 for fries that were normal fries with some seasoning sprinkled on top? Nope. Bottom Line: food was very tasty and service was very good. Price could be better, but will probably come here again.

Delicious grab and go spot during COVID-19. Their staff is friendly, wearing the face mask correctly, pretty empty store overall. Their signature pita made with falafel was delicious, very filling too. I wish it had an extra falafel rather than all the other sides. Chicken Shawarma was also very good. Loved it with their signature sauce rather than the normal tahini.

The offerings here are very similar to Naya. The taste at Naya and here are both 5 stars, but both offer different versions of the same items. The way it is cooked as well as the ingredients slightly vary, but follow the same main theme. I enjoyed my falafel bowl ($10.34 + tax) here and would come back again. The only difference between here and Naya is that here everything you have to add on at an additional price while Naya's price includes everything including a pita bread.

This place is amazing. Riad, the Owner, opened a place by us in Texas. When I found out he had a location here, I promised I'd make sure to get a bowl when I was in New York. Well, I did and let me tell you, the recipes are the same and unbelievably delicious. Highly recommend!!

I got the chicken tawook platter a while back, which was great. Today I decided to try the beef kafta bowl, which was pretty good although the beef was a little rubbery. Definitely will come back to try the falafel though!

Great Mediterranean bowl from a "chain like" establishment. Good options and flavor. Obviously not on par with the more authentic Mediterranean bowl but good enough for a quick lunch

delivery review i think the prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. the falafel were huge but unfortunately lacking in flavor. eating the falafel with the sauces made it taste better. the tomatoes were fresher than i expected but i would probably still skip them next time. i didn't love the raw onion and would skip the pickles and pickled turnips next time too. for the build your own bowl, i believe you're able to get ~10 toppings which is awesome (so many!). the chicken shawarma was chopped into pretty small pieces but still tasted good, nothing life-changing. the hummus was lacking in depth of flavor but did the job. the garlic whip on the other hand had great flavor but the texture threw me off. and, the delivery came on time!

I came here for lunch as I work around the corner. I walked in mid afternoon and was pleasantly greeted with no line. I walked up and ordered a chicken shwarma salad bowl. I love places like this because they allow one to fill the bowl with any and all vegetable toppings -- so naturally, I go ham. There's a really great variety of beets, veggies, and other sides that really elevate the salad. I usually get all of them with bog glob of hummus (also free), and one of the spicy sauces (there's green or red!). I thought I would be overwhelmed with all of the tastes and flavors but they all worked really well together to complement the Mediterranean flavors. They also had baklava and other delicious pastries for dessert that looked really great. Overall, a quick, cheap place to grab lunch in the area. Also, the edm music is rather hip and makes for a fun vibe. Will definitely be back, and very soon!

The hummus and tahini here are just okay! Overall, it was an okay bowl, but the pro is that they give really hefty servings.
