The 13 Best Coffee Shops In Austin 2024

"Everybody knows that the best part of breakfast cereal is the last few sips of cereal-infused milk at the bottom of the bowl. Fleet Coffee takes that magical moment and serves it in the form of a Fruity Pebble cortado, made with cereal-infused milk. But it’s not all novelty drinks at Fleet Coffee—you’ll also find a small menu of expertly crafted espresso-based drinks, from pure and simple shots, to a refreshing espresso-and-tonic with local grapefruit. Fleet has a couple of locations in town, but visiting the semi-permanent trailer on Manor Road means you can load up on La Santa Barbacha tacos on the way out.  " - nicolai mccrary

Google
Recommended as one of the best spots for Espresso in Austin and fully meets the brief. Super friendly, engaging and knowledgable staff. Had some delicious washed Colombian Bourbon espresso. They offer Pour over too but I didn’t try that. La Marzocco brewer and Mahlkonig grinders too which is always a reassuring sign of someone who cares about what they are doing.

Google
Cute little space with ample outdoor seating. Dog friendly as well! Free dog snacks provided for the puppos. I ordered an ice latte with juniper vanilla syrup, and it was fantastic. Not too sweet, great tasting coffee, and perfect for a hot day. Can't wait to come back and try something new!

Google
Beautiful scenery and absolutely love the idea of the on going fans and sun roof with the Texas heat. Tacos right next to Fleet were delicious and authentic.

Had a great lavender latte at Fleet this weekend. The service was fast and the patio is beautiful! I can’t wait until the vines they’ve planted fill in on the gridded ceiling because it’ll be nice and shady. My dog brie got a treat at the counter and it was nice being able to get coffee at fleet followed by a taco at La Santa next door.

Google
Awesome coffee shop that is newly opened, large open seating area on the lower deck, on the top deck there's fans blowing cool air and the coffee shop is adjacent to a taco shop of you are looking for food/frescas. Parking is in the back, up the hill, and there's not a lot of spots. There's also some street parking available, but it's overall pretty limited. We ordered two iced lattes, one with Butterscotch and the other with Juniper Vanilla. Both of them tasted amazing, and the total for 2 small coffees was $14, so definitely not cheap. I'd highly recommend coming here.

Google
Fleet Coffee has always been a top tier Austin coffee shop, and this new trailer is just as good as their flagship location. The coffee is great but the spot is even better. There's plenty of seating, shade, and misters so it's not bad at all to be out here in 100+ degree weather. For food they have Sour Duck pastries and they are also located next to a taco truck that is fantastic. A great place to go if you are looking for coffee and breakfast tacos.

Google
Tasty coffee and pastries plus you can get tacos next door and checkout a vintage shop. The outdoor shared patio area is very charming, lots of plants, fans and plenty of seating.

Google
Nicely balanced coffee. Unlike a lot of places, they do give an option of different roasts for both espresso and pour over. Art was also well done. If you have a cap on your coffee, open and appreciate it before drinking :) Outdoor seating is quite nice especially as it's getting cooler. Will come again.

Yelp
Good coffee, long line, very expensive though! This is a great spot for coffee on a summer day or when the weather is nice. Seating is outside under shade, and dogs are of course allowed! The coffee is in a trailer style set up, so you order at the window and pick up when ready. I went on a Saturday morning and man the line was long! I'd guess its maybe less crowded in winter/ on a weekday maybe? There is a taco truck next door but Fleet itself doesn't serve breakfast sandwiches. The prices were steep - I paid $10 for my soy latte (no flavor) with tax and tip. Some of the specialty drinks were over $10 without tax. The coffee was good, but I can't justify paying that much for a cup of coffee. I know prices are going up, but this just seemed high compared to other shops. I'd recommend for the ambiance and quality of coffee, but probably wont be coming back due to cost.

Yelp
This location is the best. The staff is super friendly and they quickly made my order. I got to try a new croissant as well that was so delicious! You can chill on the patio and grab a taco at Santa barbacha, or a cocktail at the long goodbye. Howdy's vintage is the same space as well. It's a great addition to the manor neighborhood.

Yelp
Tried this location today and the coffee was pretty good. The staff were friendly and there is plenty outdoor seating. There is some parking behind the building and street parking.

Yelp
Okay, this place has outrageous coffee prices for no reason. I ordered the latte and added cherry almond syrup with almond milk, light ice, 16oz which comes with 4 shots of espresso. Definitely not the best coffee I have had and I would say bad coffee quality. I would consider myself a coffee connoisseur and this coffee is nothing special. I could not taste the flavor of the syrup at all in either drink and the espresso tasted burnt. The ambiance looks like a sweet spot, but there's a food truck right next to it that you can go to instead and still enjoy the location. Service on the other hand, was very nice and helpful. Based on the location, however, if you want coffee civil goat is right down the street.

Yelp
Fleet Coffee is a gem! The patio space is fantastic for enjoying a relaxed morning or afternoon. Their cold brew is my go-to drink, always smooth and refreshing. I also love their seasonal drinks, which add a fun variety to their menu. The only downside is that the prices can be steep, so I give them 4.5/5 stars.

Yelp
After hearing that the seasonal fall drinks will be ending soon, my husband and I checked out this Fleet location to give them a try. We ordered the Rootin tootin and the Ritual, which I thoroughly enjoyed the latter that was more of the classic coffee seasonal drink you'd get, whereas the Rootin tootin was more unique and not exactly our cup of tea, but nonetheless a fun option to offer on a seasonal menu. The root beer flavor comes through in the Rootin tootin and is mixed with espresso, and it somewhat reminded me of an Italian soda meets coffee and root beer, so definitely an interesting mix, and I look forward to seeing what other fun beverage options will be offered with their winter menu. The barista was super friendly and we chatted for a bit about the construction going on with the building right next to where you order, and I was told there will be a soon to be added cocktail bar, which is pretty exciting! There is a parking lot in the back, with plenty of street parking nearby. This is an entirely outdoor dog friendly space, nailing the chill patio vibes, with a taco food truck sharing the patio space right next to where you order coffee. A cute vintage shop is a few steps away, so the setup is very picturesque for a nice chill Sunday morning to get tacos and coffee with friends then go shopping next door.

Yelp
Awesome experience. The baristas were knowledgeable and very nice. Fleet roasts their own beans, and the flavor of my cappuccino was incredible. I went in the morning, and it was nice sitting outside and seeing the sunrise on their outdoor patio.

Yelp
First time visiting Fleet Coffee and not only is the coffee amazing but I loooove this location. It's the best patio vibe and located right next to La Santa Barbacha -- food is always a plus for me with my coffee and it helps that it's also a 5/5! We ordered the Ritual specialty drink, a fruity pebble infused cortado that comes with a little marshmallow garnish. How creative! While it was hard to taste the fruity pebble in the cortado itself, it was a great coffee. We also got the Juniper Vanilla latte and loved it -- a basic drink done well! We also happened to come by during a vintage market which made me the experience even more enjoyable and encouraged us to stay a while. It would be cool if they continued to have events here! It's definitely a hip east Austin vibe and the vintage market with live music added to it. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Ordered the pumpkin pie iced latte. Person who took my order didn't let me know there was no foam which the menu specified in the ingredients that ir was included. Was still charged full price even though the girl told me they had no foam she also didn't put the graham cracker topping. I feel like if I didn't go back and ask for the topping it came with I wouldn't have experienced the limited edition christmassy drink I had ordered. Staff was not rude but I had to leave an honest review. First time there after I tried going the day before and they had closed at 3pm which I may have misread somewhere or mistaken the location that they closed at 4pm. So I decided to go back today, happily ordered and got an okay drink. Ask if they're able to make the specialty drink before you order to save you the hassle though it is on their menu. Nothing was offered in replace of the foam. If you're getting something simple like a regular black coffee then you're good. I should have ordered and paid for a regular iced non-flavored latte.

Yelp
This place was okay. The parking was a bit tough to figure out and we got there 15 minutes before closing. They were not excited about making a latte-at least that's how it came across. Latte was ok.

Yelp
Lovely coffee spot with great outdoor seating. People are friendly and the coffee is yummy! Would recommend visiting.

Yelp
More Fleet Coffee is always a good thing! so excited to have this new location that's closer to home! Stopped by for the opening and there was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. There's a decent amount of seating with partial shade to full shade depending on the time of day. Right next to Fleet on the property is a food truck serving Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (almost everything has barbacoa on it, fyi if meat is not your thing) and Fleet has pastries from Sour Duck, in case you're hungry! I got a vanilla juniper oat milk latte and my partner got a cherry almond whole milk latte and both are incredible! Fleet always exceeds my expectations!

Yelp
Their new location is lovely ! I got their fruity pebbles cappuccino - highly recommend!

Yelp
I can't get enough of this new location of Fleet. I go almost every weekend; the barbacoa taco shop next door and turfed play area for toddlers makes this space the perfect combo for me right now. The coffee is always excellent. The staff are nice and welcoming. The line moves fast. There is parking behind the coffee truck. It's a very nice, clean space that is built out very well. Love it.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday around noon to try their new location and the tacos next door. Staff was super cheery and had my cold brew out in like two minutes. They seem to be pretty quick because there were a fair amount of patrons about and all seemed to get their orders quickly as well. Not my favorite place for cold brew but it was still decent. They have a cherry-almond syrup that I'll have to give a go next time around. I like how they have multiple espresso and pour-over options as well. The patio area is cute.

Yelp
Absolutely miserable experience. They just opened up a few days ago and have been posting left and right on their Instagram. So I made sure to try and support the new coffee shop in my neighborhood. It's so hot. I took an Uber over and I walked up the counter and learned that they have no power today and therefore no coffee. Meanwhile, they're marketing team is posting stories as of 3 minutes ago showing people happily getting their coffee. Would have been very easy for them to alert customers on opening weekends but they aren't serving the thing that they are meant to serve. Really, really frustrating and the girl working there was just like

Lauren B.

Yelp
YUM! This place has good coffee. I got a latte with oat milk and a salted caramel syrup. It wasn't too sweet, super foamy, and the glass it was served in was so fun. The barista was super friendly and helpful. Tons of outdoor seating and good place for dog watching. We would be here all the time if we lived in Austin.

Yelp
Everything you could want from an east side coffee shop and more! Beautiful outdoor space with misters and shades (key for those hot summers). Friendly staff, quick service, and excellent coffee. A fantastic place to start your day, meet a friend, or get some work done.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and the coffee is good. But it's really expensive compared to others that are in the area and comparable. I'm not sure they'll be my go to each weekend but maybe a every once in a while.

N R.

Yelp
I've had a lot of espressos at coffee shops on the east side, and Fleet's is my favorite. I drive by 5 other coffee shops to get one when the craving hits!

Penn B.

Yelp
Fleet coffee's dedicated excellence from their bean selection to how they extract those beans is something I enjoy thoroughly. The espresso is something you must try. Fleets new location on Manor is wonderful. Lots of space and lots of shade. Plus Barbacoa taco truck and Sour Duck pastries yum! The staff are so friendly and warm. Oh and they're pup and kid friendly! *P.S the negative review on here seems a bit harsh condemning this business for the power going out. This was far from my experience and I hope yelp takes down his review because it's just not indicative to the type of experience you will receive when you go here.

Yelp
I had actually stopped by this location to grab some tacos from La Santa Barbacha. While i was waiting, I walked over to Fleet Coffee, and I ordered a Oat Milk Iced Latte with Vanilla. Hands down....AMAZINGGGG. So bold yet smooth. I will definitely be returning to order more Oat milk Latte's!!! Thank you.
