"Flo’s has been in West Town since 1999, and the New Mexican specialties are what you want. They do breakfast six days a week (they’re closed on Mondays), and we endorse the huevos rancheros or anything with chorizo. For dinner, get the enchiladas or the green chili stew. And if you’re here on a weekend for brunch, you’ll also find some over-the-top sweet dishes, like their Fruity Pebbles French toast." - adrian kane, veda kilaru, john ringor, nick allen

"Flo is a Chicago brunch classic that serves Hatch chile burgers, and southwestern-style favorites. It’s a cozy space akin to a diner, and worth becoming a regular at." - Eater Staff

"Flo is best reserved for weekends. Hungover, or not hungover. A nice day and you’re looking to start it off with a Bloody Mary or mimosa. Or maybe it’s cold out, and you’d like to escape the gloomy weather with a plate full of chili enchiladas. Either way, these are all ideal times to head to Noble Square for some breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Flo serves dinner too, although it’s not normally when we like to go. That being said, if a hatch green chili cheeseburger sounds like it’s for you, then by all means give it a try. New Mexican flavors are the strong point of Flo, and any item involving the word chorizo, huevos, enchiladas, or chili in the name is definitely worth ordering. While you can often expect a bit of a wait on weekends, it’s never enough to turn you away. Plus, they’ve got self-serve coffee at the front of the house. It’s a nice touch. You can go for lighter smoothies or vegetarian portabella tacos, but if you’re really looking to get down, just say f*ck it and order the Fruity or Cocoa Pebbles French toast. That’s right. French toast encrusted in your favorite childhood cereals topped with berries and potentially a little whipped cream. The sight will make the kid in you give a little “AAAHH!!! Real Monsters” scream. But like anyone under the age of 12 who consumes too much sugar, either version on your own will take its toll. Our advice is to get an order for the table as an extra dish to share. Food Rundown Triple Berry Smoothie A blend of berries, banana, peach nectar, and yogurt give this berry heavy smoothie a sweet touch. Portabella Tacos These breakfast tacos served with scrambled eggs, portabella mushrooms, cheddar cheese, and pico de gallo might just be our favorite thing on the menu. We like to get the red chili on the side so we can manage just the right amount. Huevos Rancheros Cheese enchiladas topped with red chili sauce and fried eggs, plus black beans on the side. Feel free to get this dish with either the red chili, green chili, or the Christmas blend of both. Huevos Verdes Cheese and chorizo enchiladas with green chili and fried eggs on top, including a side of potatoes. Oh yeah. Chorizo-Tamale Hash Corn masa, over which chorizo, cheddar, cheese, and poached eggs lay. A touch of red chili gives it just the little bit of spice you need. Fruity Pebbles French Toast Nobody else serves Fruity Pebbles French toast. You probably need to try it. Cocoa Pebbles French Toast OK we lied, you don’t have to order the Fruity Pebbles version, but you have to at least get one of the two." - Sam Faye

Nestled in a prime location in Chicago, Flo offers a seamless combination of urban convenience and culinary excellence. Its industrial-chic décor—highlighted by a classic wood-paneled bar—sets the tone for a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience. With attentive service, expertly crafted drinks, and dishes that strike a balance between bold flavors and comforting familiarity, Flo delivers on all fronts. The meal began at the bar with two standout cocktails: the Golden Child Margarita and a Bloody Mary. The Margarita adhered to a classic recipe, eschewing excessive sweetness for a well-balanced profile that felt refreshingly natural—a flawless choice for a brunch drink. The Bloody Mary, by contrast, packed a bold, peppery punch, proving it can hold its own against any Chicago brunch cocktail. Service started off steady, if unremarkable. I couldn’t help but note my tendency to watch the order in which patrons are served—a small, likely unreasonable expectation I tend to hold. However, that initial hesitation proved unfounded as the experience unfolded. Food arrived astonishingly fast—under ten minutes—rendering any earlier misgivings irrelevant. The dishes themselves were visually stunning and generously portioned. My egg sandwich arrived on perfectly toasted bread, layered with just the right amount of savory ingredients, and was accompanied by crispy, flavorful potatoes. My partner’s chilaquiles with chorizo, meanwhile, were a showstopper: saucy, spicy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite of both dishes reinforced Flo’s attention to quality and balance. As the meal progressed, the bartender’s precision and timing became undeniable. Drinks were expertly paced to enhance the dining experience, and their skillful management of the bar added a touch of professionalism that elevated the visit. One delightful surprise was Flo’s trio of house sauces, each offering a unique profile to complement the meal. The standout was the fudge amarillo, a vibrant blend of garlic and carrots that added depth and complexity to every bite—a testament to how a thoughtful condiment can transform a dish. In the end, Flo is more than a brunch spot; it’s a testament to how impeccable timing, bold flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere can come together to create a flawless dining experience. Whether you’re a stickler for the little things or simply in search of great food and drink, Flo is sure to impress.

Stopped by for brunch with some friends. We were able to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. There's plenty of good options. The food was good, big potions. Drink prices are very reasonable as are the food choices. The service was fairly quick. That staff was nice.

Such a great brunch spot! Had the veggie burrito with black beans subbed for eggs and it was FABULOUS! We all had the green Bloody Mary’s and they are so good! Also the skillet with black beans subbed for egg. One of us had the breakfast with eggs and they were done to perfection! This place continues to be worth the wait! This was our second visit here! It’s usually on the must do list every time we visit Chicago. The Bloody Mary, either red or green, are amazing with the homemade bacon bourbon! Their special chilaquiles are always delicious as is the skillet! You can easily substitute black beans or avocado for eggs. Usually there’s a wait, and it’s so worth the wait. Service was excellent! Their smoothies are really top notch also! I love a good savory breakfast/brunch/lunch! This is a really AWESOME spot!

I’ve been coming here for years! SO good. My faves are anything with their red or green sauces. Best huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and enchiladas.

Let me start by saying this is my favorite brunch spot in the city. Love sitting at the bar and being served by the best bartender ever in Cindy (make sure you ask for her). My go-to is normally the Guadalajara Scramble, but I went with the enchiladas, and boy were they out of this world. My Wifey went blueberry pancakes which are always outstanding. Gotta go with mimosas to top it off. The atmosphere, food, and people make this brunch spot one of Chicago's best!

Google
The huevos verdes could've been a bit spicier, but then again I like spicy foods lol. The garlic spinach was an interesting menu offering, since it was basically a Chinese dish (tasted nice, although a bit heavy on the salt from the soy sauce). Not pictured were the chocolate bacon pancakes. Do not order these - they were not cooked thoroughly and were way too salty and dense overall. Our server was extremely accommodating and understanding however, and took it off our bill. I'd definitely give this place another chance, as the atmosphere and service was great!

Where to start? Excellent service, very friendly staff. Charming atmosphere. My food came out SO fast. Everything made from scratch, even the hot sauces that my breakfast burrito was smothered in. The flavor was absolutely insane. I kinda hate store bought chorizo but the chorizo here... good God it's tasty. Can't believe I don't have this in my local city... if you live in Chicago you better be eating here regularly. Thank you for the whole experience!

This place is super yummy and a very nice atmosphere. I came here for breakfast and the menu was very nice and had lots of options. The service was very fast and the food came out steaming hot and ready to eat. Wow, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so well cooked and seasoned, I wanted to take more to go. We also tried the sangria which was, ugh, to die for! It was filled with fruits and wine, it was soooo good. I will definitely be coming back here again. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
I lived in Albuquerque for years and I love New Mexican food! And you should know that New Mexican food is different than TexMex or other kinds of Mexican food. Similar in many ways, but different. Flo's does a very good job of New Mexican given that we live in the mid west. Everything from the green chile chicken enchiladas to the dessert sopapillas was excellent. The green chile stew was also great. My only complaint is the lack of heat. NM food is known for spice, and this needs more. I get that this is the mid west, but still, the food was really mid west mild/medium. Their house margarita was very good and not too sweet. The staff could not be nicer. We came in late as they were just getting ready to close the kitchen, but we ordered quickly and they kept it open just long enough for us. Awesome! I guarantee I'll be back to try the rest of their dishes!

Yelp
While visiting the neighborhood I came to Flo for brunch with some friends. We came in around 11 am and were literally the only ones there. The service was alright, not the greatest but not the worst either. I did appreciate that they make their own delicious hot sauces but my food was just alright. I had the red chilaquiles. The flavor was great but I was kind of shocked that they didn't come with a protein of any kind and not even an offer to add egg. Overall it was ok. Maybe the dinner service is better than brunch.

Layna L.

Yelp
Stopped into Flo for brunch. We ordered the lobo skillet and red chilaquiles. The food was well-seasoned, flavorful, and filling. This was a great place for a satisfying and affordable meal. The servers were kind and accommodating as well--one of us had a pork allergy and they were able to make the skillet with chicken instead.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon to hang with my Y.E.S. girls. Flo pulled us in by the diverse brunch menu. Located in Noble square right off Chicago Ave. Plenty of paid parking on Chicago Ave but some free parking about a two block walk. I enjoyed my turkey sandwich. It was a Smoked turkey, bacon. jack cheese, sautéed red pepper, guacamole, spinach and chipotle aioli on thick cut country sourdough served with breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were okay but lukewarm. They felt like they were scooped out a pan, that was left on top of the oven. I enjoyed my Bloodymary $12 with a beer back ($2 upcharge). It was exactly what I needed after a night of partying. Establishment was clean and service was quick. Overall I enjoyed my experience but likely because my company was so good.

Angela S.

Yelp
The food is always delicious and the daily and weekly specials are excellent. Portions are substantial - enough to share or take home. Service has always been decent, but even better since the pandemic.

Maureen D.

Yelp
Flo is a cute neighborhood spot for brunch and drinks. They are known for their Mexican dishes and they did not disappoint! We shared the Huevos Rancheros and the Smothered Rancheros Burrito. The Huevos Rancheros cheese enchiladas were good, not great, but the red chile sauce was yummy. It was a good sized portion- filling but not enough for left overs. The Burrito was large and packed with flavor. The service was attentive on a busy Sunday morning. We will definitely be back to try the other brunch dishes.

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
I saw a post on IG touting Flo's brunch, so came here around 1 on a Saturday afternoon with the YES Girls to try it out. Our group of 3 was seated right away. Service was swift and attentive. Our food came out super quickly after ordering too. The menu had expansive New Mexican offerings, ranging from chilaquiles and burritos to traditional American sandwiches/burgers, and lots of fusion in between. I had a large lemonade cocktail ($14) and chocolate chip + bacon pancakes ($12). Food was VERY affordable, most entrees are around $15. My pancake entree was very large and I took home leftovers. Flo is in a great location and there is a ton to do (shopping) after your meal.

Yelp
My love and I dined at Flo yesterday. Although Flo seems to be known as more of a brunch place, we experienced a wonderful dinner. We were seated immediately when we entered early on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant was chill and not too crowded until near the conclusion of our meal when a party of 16 adults and young kids wandered in. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive. There was minimal waiting for anything at all. Flo touts its traditional southwestern / New Mexico cuisine. Having never been to New Mexico, I was excited to try the carne adovada. It's called a New Mexico specialty, and after savoring the whole dish I can tell you it's a deserved title. The tender little chunks of braised pork loin are bathed in a deep red chile sauce that is flavorful and zingy without being overly spicy. The crispy little hemispheres of red potatoes, thin wedges of avocado and tortillas were perfect accompaniments to the saucy pork. My love enjoyed her grilled salmon, with heirloom potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, and crispy brussels sprouts, as well as her hibiscus margarita. The portion sizes were also right on the money. After enjoying the delicious and reasonably priced food at Flo, we vowed to come again when in the area.

Khadijah H.

Yelp
I am really disappointed in the food that was served at Flo. Coming for brunch with some girlies we started off with some cocktails. I ordered the lavender dust cocktail - under their mimosa list. It was incredibly bland. It was purple for sure but no hint of lavender. If you wanted to turn up/ get intoxicated, a couple of these could have you off your butt. I chose to order the portobello mushroom tacos as the other options were typical and overly pricey. The dish did not return as I would have expected. It was an open face taco merged/ melted into one another with a bunch of eggs and sprinkles of mushrooms. There was no pico de gallo but rather a red mole type sauce in top and black beans. I get this is a vegetarian friendly dish but for the price, vegetarians deserve better. There was no season, salt or flavor at all. You would have thought you lost your ability to taste the way this food didn't do anything for the palate. The portion size and presentation for the price requested does not match and it is not ok.

Yelp
Outstanding!! First visit for brunch with ten friends, when I originally informed them we'd have a party of nine. We were in the area for the Chiditarod, along with a buddy living close-by. Flo was on the short-list of places to consider for brunch. I drove the decision to checkout Flo based on other Yelp reviews. A few in my party had been to Flo previously and had nothing but positive comments to make. Our experience was top-notch throughout from the being seated, to accommodating an extra member of our party, to the service, to the food and ultimately checking out. I had the Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas, added green hatch chiles and an egg (see pic), along with a side order of extra crispy bacon. WOW - just outstanding! It will be hard for me, for my next visit, to not order all of this again. Food was fresh, subtle spice which continued to build and the bacon was thick cut and crispy... nam, nam, nam! A friend ordered the Fruity Pebbles French Toast for the table. While I'm much more a savory than sweet person, I tried it and it was delicious. I used the french toast to sop up my remaining egg yolk and chile sauce! They have a full bar: a solid beer and cocktail list, along with bloodies. A friend did not like his Moscow Mule and no hassle to promptly swap out for a bloody. As I shared, top-notch experience from start to finish. Keep up the great work Flo Team! I'm will definitely return, as well as share my experience with family and friends!

Misha T.

Yelp
Got the smothered breakfast burrito and it was totally solid. They also were able to take our group of 10 right away, which is always tricky. I don't know why more places don't do a wet breakfast burrito. Like both breakfast burritos and burrito mojados are hardly uncommon but you never really see them combined. But for all the reasons that enchilada sauces taste great on normal burritos, they also taste great on the brekkie ones.

Tracy L.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot when visiting Chicago. We visited on a beautiful Sunday for brunch. They have 4 outdoor tables and umbrellas setup so we were able to dine on the "patio" (sidewalk) with my corgi. I ordered the Green Chilaquiles (off menu) with sunny side up eggs for $14. You need to specify how you want your eggs; otherwise, they will default to scrambled eggs. Husband ordered Flo's Original Burrito for $12; it came with potatoes and beans. We enjoyed our breakfast. Service was prompt and friendly.

Adam T.

Yelp
BEST BREAKFAST SPOT IN CHICAGO!!!!!! The food was divine! Service was top notch, and the atmosphere was excellent.

Maisa G.

Yelp
Great neighborhood restaurant with nice vibes and great people! I love coming here for brunch or dinner! They have some good daily specials too!

Dipali P.

Yelp
Food - 4/5: loved the chilaquiles! The breakfast sandwich was ok. Coffee was ok. Service - 5/5 Ambiance - very cute / cozy. Easy to find parking, close by other small shops, and overall nice area.

Kyle L.

Yelp
Best brunch in Chicago. One of the few places that is not overpriced. New Mexican flavors with brunch staples. We have been an uncountable amount of times, always delivers.

Puneet S.

Yelp
This corner spot has a unique Latin twist and there brunch menu is amazing. The small place offers fun music and even better food. I ordered the portobello breakfast tacos and the French toast with berries and creme. The tacos were fresh and the corn tortillas came covered with a red sauce. The eggs and mushrooms paired nicely with the sauce and it was a light meal. The eggs were creamy and the mushrooms had a nice flavor that was both rich and savory. The French toast was perfectly paired with creme and berries and was light and fluffy. The creme was rich and the berries were tart so it worked. I would recommend the French toast options and all the egg options.

Christopher V.

Yelp
All things considered, Flo rounds out my Top 3 favorite breakfast restaurants in the area. As with many Chicago brunches there's a Mexican flare to the menu. I've enjoyed every item I've tried particularly the Fruity Pebbles French Toast and the Chorizo Tamale Hash. The French Toast is fairly sweet so keep that in mind. They don't offer Bottomless Mimosas, but the individual glasses are pretty good (hibiscus is best). Service is friendly and they're always packed Wait time can vary. They do a nice job of turning over tables quickly. 3.49 overall, but rounding up for service. Check em out and let me know what you think.

Marlene S.

Yelp
Walked in on a Saturday at noon. They don't take reservations but luckily we were greeted and seated right away at the bar. I knew I wanted French toast so I honestly didn't look at anything else on the menu lol. I didn't realize I needed to ask for the fruit and cream so my French toast was pretty plain, but still yummy. I had a mimosa & a Bellini. I dont know which sandwich my friend got, but he seemed to enjoy it too! Definitely a nice chill spot to come for brunch and the service was super friendly.

Sylvia O.

Yelp
I lived in Chicago for about 4 months, and Flo was my neighborhood brunch spot. I visited at least 4 times, so I have no idea why I never checked in there! It always had a line out the door, so make sure to plan accordingly. They did have coffee and water available while you are waiting.

Jose C.

Yelp
We came here for brunch. They don't take reservations, but we were fortunate enough to snag a seat before the rush came in. We had to wait a little bit to get acknowledged, and they had a super chill vibe here. Once seated we were quickly able to put our orders in. They mentioned their specials, and I finally ordered off menu. This is a rare occurrence for me. I usually study the menu prior to arriving so I usually know what I'm going to get, but they mentioned their Carnitas chilaquiles and I was instantly sold. My wife ordered their regular red chilaquiles. It came with the tortilla chips smothered in red Chile sauce, covered with black beans and shredded cheddar cheese. Almost looked like nachos or chili. My chilaquiles came with a different red chili sauce covered in carnitas and two over medium eggs. The beans were served on the side instead of mixed in like my wife's. Both dishes were served with a folded flour tortilla. Kind of an off little side, since the dish is already marked with tortillas. My dish was also spicier than my wife's, but they were both good. Not sure I would order the carnitas chilaquiles again though. In my option, carnitas doesn't mix well with other things. It's best when eaten on its own with salsa and tortillas. This just tasted like flavorless pulled pork and no fattening flavor that true carnitas gives. My other only issue is that it's advertised as a New Mexican cuisine. I happens to like New Mexican food, but when looking at the menu, there was an up charge on hatch Chile. Hatch Chile should be the only thing being used in this restaurant. And they should offer "Christmas" style dishes when a dish is served with half green and half red sauce made from the hatch chiles. That would really make this place stand out more.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Walked past here forever and always wanted to try and I'm so glad I did! Very quick and pleasant service with a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options.

Rose F.

Yelp
Visited Flo with family. Food was really good. We started with sopapillas one chorizo and one chicken. The chicken was very tasty. The chorizo was good however, as we prepared to cut it - as to share it was hard to cut. The bottom was very tough to cut through with the regular knife making it hard to chew. The pork burrito was really good - the side of rice did not have flavor. The pork adovado plate was delicious. The Hibiscus Margarita was yum.

Yelp
We've had Flo for dinner and takeout several times, since we live in the neighborhood. It's a nice place with outdoor seating. We like to bring our pup in the summer. They are really pet-friendly and have treats and a water bowl outside. I almost always start with a margarita. They are sooo good, sweet, but not too sweet and not too boozy. Very yummy, so still dangerous! The house margarita is solid and I've had a jalapeno one there too before. We've had a number of food items there over the last 2 years. They have a pretty large menu, full of things that we like. The chorizo mac and cheese is very good and we get it almost every time. There seems to be a little bit of inconsistency with how long it is baked, but we're never disappointed. We enjoy the enchiladas too and usually go to Flo when I am craving enchiladas. They have green chile chicken and pulled pork. Overall, they're above average. Sometimes a little salty and sometimes the pulled pork is a little dry, but the flavor is good and we happily eat them. I prefer the chicken over the pulled pork. I love enchiladas and Flo is my go to place. Other things we've enjoyed are the cheeseburger and burrito. This most recent time we had their special - seared snapper on risotto. I loved the risotto! Nice texture/ consistency and flavor. We also had their homemade blueberry cheesecake and carrot cake. Both were very good, but the cheesecake was our favorite. They do desserts VERY WELL. I would highly recommend leaving room for dessert. We definitely plan on coming back many more times and love having Flo in the neighborhood!

Yelp
I stopped in one night just on a whim and was so glad I did. The first thing that struck me was how Amy, the owner, greeted me with a smile immediately as I walked in. I felt right at home. The decor is brick with darker wood with good lighting. There are several seats at the bar or at one of the many table they have available. I ordered a Jalapeño Margarita and it was delicious! For food, I ordered the nachos and there was no need for anything else. All in all, so glad I stopped there and was able to have a drink and some food. I hope to be back soon!

Maureen M.

Yelp
Flo is awesome! Delicious & good value. Easy, comfortable neighborhood spot. Weekend brunch is fun. I particularly love dinner...amazing homemade chips and guac. Love the burger & fries!! And classic steak tacos. Perfect margaritas.

Anuj S.

Yelp
Enjoyed my dinner at Flo last night. It was quiet while we were there last night. I don't know what's the norm, since it was my first time there. The service was good and the place is nicely done. Not a huge place... Probably like, less than 10 tables and a big bar. To start, the gold margarita was good. Good amount of sour. We also started with the nachos, which they call flo-chos, and those were awesome. Probably the highlight of the food experience. Loved the flavor. They had this special sauce on there that have them a pop. Really good. Then I split a couple of entrees after that. They have a house veggie burger, which was great. Black beans base and definitely not your generic frozen pattie deal. Enjoyed that as it was flavorful as well. Lastly I had a spinach and something enchilada. It's of menu, which was nice to see that they accommodate vegetarian options. It was... fine. I probably should've gotten it with just cheese and onion. It had also cooled down by the time I got to it, so more of my bad. There are a couple of other veggie items in the menu, like the portabella quesadilla and the nopales tacos. Hmm... Can't remember any other ones, but I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu out. Funding a good Mexican joint in our new neighborhood is huge. So happy to have found Flo. Oh, one open mystery... They call is New Mexico food. I wonder if that means this style of food is native to the state of New Mexico, or it's like a modern "new" take on Mexican food. I'll have to ask next time. Until then...

Sandra R.

Yelp
I went with a a group of people!! The service and food was really bad. Nobody ate. We end up in another restaurant.

Aaron H.

Yelp
The food and service here is good, but not wow. Honestly just being a little picky but the outdoor seating wasn't comfortable whatsoever. For food, the french toast was alright nothing crazy. The burrito was good but the red sauce was lacking something. Also was kind of bland. Service was okay, everyone was super nice but everyone was moving at a really slow pace. I asked the waitress for like two minutes to look at the menu and she came back like 15 minutes later. Also the bugs were annoying but that wasn't a factor, just thought i share since it is outside.

Phil A.

Yelp
I have been coming here 15+ years since I first moved to the area, I would consider myself a loyal regular. Supported them during covid by ordering carryout when I could and since things have gotten back to normal back too going weekly and taking friends all the time. I wouldn't write a review but I was so upset after our recent visit. I brought a friend that was visiting from out of country and sat at the bar, the bartender who I think might be the owner, could not wait to get rid of us, after grabbing our plate she immediately gave us our check and then came back shortly and wanted to take it before we had even had a chance to look at it but obviously that was supposed to be a signal to pay and get out. My friend felt very uncomfortable and immediately gave her card so we could at least continue out conversation but at this point she came back with the processed receipt and literally asked us if we could take the conversation elsewhere as there were regulars waiting to be seated. Note there was no one waiting to be seated and there were empty tables. Its been years since I have been anywhere that treated a customer like this, it was very upsetting. I used to come here every weekend, even on my own without friends I would sit at the bar having breakfast, reading a book or news and not once was I ever treated this way. Well after many years now looking for my new favorite place.

I came here with for brunch already knowing that I'd order the fruity pebbles french toast because all the pictures I'd seen looked too tempting to resist. And when it arrived, even the people at the table next to me started talking about how great it looked. As someone who likes sweet brunch options, I thought it was wonderful -- it appealed to the 10-year-old french toast enthusiast in me while satisfying my current taste, resulting in the perfect nostalgic brunch food. But I can definitely understand why someone would say that it's *too* sweet as well; it's just a matter of preference. My friend ordered the Flo Style and enjoyed it -- she was hoping for more tortillas, but I assume you can ask for extra if that's something you want. Overall they offer a great mix of sweet and savory (and even a category called "lunchish") options! The restaurant itself is really cute and buzzing with energy. If you have to wait for a table, you can pour your own coffee while standing at the front (not complimentary but still convenient!). I put us on the Yelp waitlist just in case, but it also didn't seem like the wait would have been long otherwise, and that was at 12:30 on a Saturday. But I would think it helps a lot if you're coming here with a larger group.

Yelp
Another great breakfast from Flo's... Need I say more... Just another fantastic breakfast thanks to Cynthia, AJ and Leonard...

Yelp
Check yelp to see if there is a wait list and if there is then join the waitlist online so you don't have to wait as long! Came in for weekend brunch and ordered the Triple Berry-Zabaione French Toast ($9). I wasn't a huge fan of the Zabaione sauce and could have done with less of it. There was a good amount of berry, but by the end the juices did make my toast a little soggy, given I am a slower eater. Vibes were great, a lot of people were there and more were waiting by the time we left. One tiny downside, our waiter made us feel like she was rushing us out, even though there were bigger open tables.

Yelp
We first discovered this place before the pandemic but waited to go until they had a full menu, including sopapillas, which are a staple in New Mexico cuisine. My wife and I both grew up in New Mexico and looked forward to eating some hatch green chili infused entrees. We went for lunch on a Saturday and asked for sopapillas and were told they don't make them until 4pm. Then we ordered a Green Chili Hamburger and Chicken Enchiladas with green chili. The Hatch green chili in both were not only very mild, but had no flavor. The food was not bad, just not good New Mexico food. Very disappointed. The menu is New Mexican in name only, unfortunately.

Yelp
if you love real hatch chili and wonderful recipes using chili this is the place. The cost is reasonable and the service wonderful so don't drive by.Stop and enjoy and great place to eat. I was raised in New Mexico and this is the only place I consider really authentic southwestern food.

Yelp
Been here for brunch a few times and it is always packed with people. The service is great and we must get lucky because even with a line as 2 people we always get seated at bar or on a table immediately. The venue is cute and a cool vibe. I've also ordered Flo via uber eats with a more limited menu. My favorite food they have is the Mexican brunch. I love their chili verde chicken enchiladas and pulled pork tacos with pickled jalapeños. They have awesome bloody Mary's as well made with delicious in house hot sauces. I gotta get the chili verde one next time. They also have amazing loaded French toast. We had the chocolate and cocoa pepples with strawberries and omg soo good and so much food! Definitely a favorite place in the neighborhood for brunch and will be back!

Yelp
The French toast with cream and berries was very delicious. I smothered them in syrup. The bacon was really nice. Crispy and not over cooked. The potatoes were bland. And wasn't as hot nor appeared that fresh. It's a great quick restaurant.

Yelp
Excellent spot if you are looking for a little different brunch! Food is spot on, everything was delicious! The chicken enchilada was our favorite - throw on an extra egg and it's brunch enchiladas!! :-P The drinks could be a little better, but that could be us... Not many people are ordering tequila cocktails before noon on a Sunday I'd guess lol. Service was friendly and helpful and though may be a bit understaffed was fairly attentive. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place...and we'll be back for sure!

Yelp
I will be coming back to FLO very soon! Excellent food with even better service. Pancakes were next level and the carnitas scrambler had amazing flavours with the right amount of spice. Even the music was right on point.

Yelp
Always amazing. Got chicken enchilada with hatch chili. Served with beans and rice. YUM! Love the food here and will miss it.

Yelp
Had a great first experience here. Love the yelp waitlist option it allowed us to be seated minutes from walking in the door on a busy Saturday morning. Plus there's complimentary coffee if you're having to wait very long. Once I glanced at the menu I knew I would be coming back a second time because there were so many things I wanted to try but I knew first I had to go with my childhood obsession Fruity Pebbles French toast! It was absolutely delicious. Three pieces of French toast covered in fruity pebbles, glazed with syrup, and a genius touch of adding fresh strawberries and blueberries on top! Pretty balanced in flavors it wasn't over the top sweet like you expect. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito which was my second choice and it was delicious also. Huge. She had plenty leftover even after I took some to sample. Came with breakfast potatoes though she enjoys them crispier still tasty. Bloody Mary's were top notch though the one we ordered was crazy spicy and it was the least spicy one on the menu. Easy fix next time no biggie.

Yelp
It's so refreshing to see a long time restaurant that is under the radar and in a cool part of town, just putting out great food and prices that make you do a double take. Flo isn't just for breakfast, btw. Great specials throughout the week for lunch and dinner. The only New Mexican cuisine in Chicago, so get your Hatch Chili fix here! But on the breakfast note...the huevos Verdes are fire!!

Yelp
Good food and friendly staff. Place is dead for dinner and bumping for brunch. Would recommend the lunch hour vs. dinner. Nachos were terrific with no shortage of cheese liberally spread throughout the tower. Steak tacos were generously stacked with protein, but had lots of fatty portions incorporated, too. Good margarita offering and local beer selection. Prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Flo has one of the best vegetarian items ever. The veggie burrito is absolutely amazing. I really visit the same place more than once but I've been here over 5 times for this item. It is exceptional and perfect for a Friday meal.

Yelp
Being from New Mexico--but now living in the Midwest--I'm constantly looking for something to meet my home cravings. Flo really hit the spot! I had a green chile cheeseburger and it was wonderful. They don't skimp on the chile at all. My companion had green chile chicken enchiladas, and when he said "christmas" the waiter knew exactly what he meant. The staff was friendly and helpful. Next time I am in Chicago, I will be back...and hopefully can explore the menu even more!

Yelp
Horrible service food was very plain and tasteless. We were a 8 and with the variety of plates can't say we'll come back
