The Biggest D.C.-Area Restaurant Openings in August 2025 | Eater DC

"A Buenos Aires–influenced cafe and bookstore from international author Florencia Agrazo (The Gratitude Notebook) and her partner Marco Ferrario, this cozy spot pours specialty coffee—including a house blend roasted by nearby Grace Street Coffee Roasters—alongside Argentinian snacks and Dolcezza soft serve. The all-day menu spans empanadas, sandwiches, toasts, bowls, salads, and French pastries, and the upper-level library focuses on self-care, art, travel, and spirituality, with titles sold in both English and Spanish; drinks range from hot or iced espresso and matcha or chai lattes to loose-leaf teas and affogatos." - Tierney Plumb

Absolutely loved this place! ☕️📖 Flor Coffee Shop is such a cozy and charming spot, the kind of place that makes you feel at home right away. The coffee is amazing, the pastries are fresh and delicious, and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. I’m I had the best avocado toast I’ve ever eaten, so fresh and perfectly made! 🥑 You can feel the love in every detail, from the decor to the way they serve each cup. If you enjoy good coffee, good food, and good vibes, this café is definitely worth visiting!

We came here for coffee and snacks & loved every bite! The pastries and empanadas are particularly delicious. There’s a cute bookshop upstairs and lots of seating outside as well. The staff is also very kind and welcoming. Definitely will be back again soon!

I’ve been to several reading places, but this had the coziest chairs. Not the best, but better than most. Snacks were limited, but pretty good. I had a pearl jasmine tea which was delicious. Music is a little bit too loud in order to work or concentrate, lots of people hanging around and it was Overall a nice place in Georgetown.

Beautiful Argentine-inspired coffee shop! They have a wide menu of breakfast and food options for a coffee shop. Their medialunas are very good. Their coffee is very good and their attention is excellent. You can tell the owners poured their hearts into this place. They were both here when we came and as fellow Argentinians we felt so happy to see this place open in DC. Their upstairs area is as cute a coffee shop seating area can be. Lots of very comfortable chairs and couches, cute little tables, books to browse or buy and a great decoration and atmosphere. Will definitely become a regular :)

Super cute place with good coffee and small selection of fresh pastries. I tried cheese puffs and warmed up they were delicious! Seating is limited, there is one bench inside and cute staircase Seating outdoors. I visited during Halloween week and place was decorated, fun :)

Such a gem of a coffee shop- the staff was extremely nice and explained what each of the fun Argentine pastries were before I bought a couple small ones. The outdoor space was large and well worth a hang in nice weather while the inside library area is a fun communal space (it was solidly full, but not too full). Come try it out!

This coffee shop is very cool. A book store upstairs and a nice outdoor seating section in the back. Kind of like a flower garden, the team is nice and the matcha I had was pretty good. The place gets pretty busy so he prepared for that but it's worth the wait.

Absolutely loved this place! The cafe is pure joy and the food is incredible, packed with authentic Argentine flavor. Upstairs there’s a charming dining and bookshop that adds an extra touch of magic to the experience. You can sip your coffee while browsing through books. The owners are the heart of the place. They are the kindest, most welcoming people, always there to greet you with a smile and make you feel right at home. You can definitely feel the love and passion they’ve poured into creating this space. A true hidden gem in Georgetown that I’ll be coming back to again and again.
