"Terminal C is pretty massive, so if your flight is near gates C120-140, you’ll want to park yourself nearby. Thankfully, Flora is tucked away in this part of the concourse, and their tables even have built-in outlets so you can charge your phone while you dig into mushroom shawarma skewers and baba ganoush. "Located right in the middle of the Marigny, Flora Cafe checks off everything you’d want from a neighborhood coffee shop. Local artwork on the walls? Yes. Good coffee and affordable breakfast and lunch food served all day? Confirmed. A cat that wanders around the shop, but isn’t overly friendly? You get the idea. They stay open until 10pm daily, so basically anytime you need a coffee or a snack, Flora Cafe is a good option." - Team Infatuation

Google
Lamb burger was extremely dry. No cheese, no pickles, no sauce Baba ganoush reminded of hummus and just a little eggplant. Brussel sprouts were too dry. The food wasn’t flavored and it was extremely dry. It’s just not it. Service was ok. Even tho they include tips without asking you… I won’t recommend

Google
The food was enjoyable, the server did a great job on my drinks, it was small things in my service and how the managers switched coverage two times during my meal. I'd also recommend a menu posted at the entrance; using the QR code is no big deal but just so we know what to expect.

Google
ordered 1 salad and 1 hummus, 30mins later nothing came. asked the waiter and he went in to grab our food. so it was just sitting there the whole time. had to grab a cup from another table and find the water jug and pour myself some water. food was meh, not enough bread for the hummus. paid $40 for the meal. eat elsewhere.

We waited around 40 minutes for food. Hard to beat when you've been traveling the better part of 24 hours from Europe. My husband got a burger and fries with no cheese but it came with cheese. You have to see the pic I've posted to see what a joke the added onion was. The fries were the typical packaged fries and the burger wasn't anything too special not taste like lamb. My order came out maybe 5 minutes later even though we got the order all at the same time and I had only ordered the fries, though not the typical packaged crinkle cut, wasn't much special about them at all. Music was so loud I could barely hear and it drowned out flight information. Lots of dirty tables. 50 bucks for that, no thanks, I'll pick up a packaged snack from CIBO and wait til I get home next time.

Google
You expect poor quality, over priced food at most Airport eating joints and Flora Cafe certainly delivers. I opted for a Rueben, tater tots and a drink. The drink a Moscow Mule- was fine and delivered to my table fairly quickly. The food took quute a bit longer, so I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry and really was just killing time and using the opportunity to take mask off. The (previously frozen I'm sure) tater tots were fine. Kind of hard to mess up. the Reuben was soggy and while the meat was good, there was little to no mustard. Just about $50 for lunch. Like I said, it's kind if what you expect at an airport. At least the space was cute. I can't recommend going out of your way to eat here, but on the flip side, you likely won't get food poisoning either. Kind of middle of the road.

Google
It's labeled as a "Mediterranean Cafe". But there is nothing on the menu of that type. Burgers, Cheesesteaks, Tacos. The service was great. The restaurant was a good location. The food was okay. The fries were well cooked. The burger had a low quality bun, and it was soggy. Would not eat food here again.

Google
I rarely write negative reviews, but I felt the need to do so this time. The food here was absolutely terrible and overpriced. They try to sound high-end by saying you have items like "dry-aged steak" when it's just tasteless, overcooked and extremely greasy beef. The fries were worse than McDonald's. We waited for over an hour for a meal worse than fast food. Not worth it, I strongly do not recommend this place.

Google
I was on my way to Athens Greece but before taking off, the plane experienced a mechanical failure resulting in all the passengers having to disembark. Although, this was a bit disappointing, I did manage to find this nice spot while waiting for another plane, which, had an array of adult beverages, which, really helped pass the time away. This is definitely a great spot to relax while listening to music which, is played throughout the establishment. The servers are friendly and very engaging and the wines are great too! Should you find yourself at Newark Airport in New Jersey and looking for a place to unwind, I'd definitely recommend stopping by here.

Antonio A.

Yelp
The worst and nastiest service I have ever received from a restaurant. Rude and the food is quite terrible. Please spend your money at Your own risk! Do not eat here if you want to enjoy your flight!

Yelp
We ordered the chicken wrap with a side salad. You have to order by scanning the QR Code. There was no place to check no onions and no place that you could add special instructions. It was good but pretty pricey. I read other reviews about the amount of onions they put on all their food. I agree with the other reviews. This was the only restaurant by our gate so we dined there. You also pay on your phone when you order. They make sure to include a 20% tip.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Stopped by to have breakfast before our flight. The food is overpriced but that's expected. The omelette was okay, I don't think it was worth the price. Service was pretty quick.

Bl Y.

Yelp
OMG how many ways can you ruin a kale salad? Horrible service. Horrible food. Waitress sitting in a corner on her phone. Wish I would have read others' reviews before going. Inedible salad (great wine!) for $70.

Heather C.

Yelp
Service was fine, however the food was probably the worst meal I've had in a long time. The eggplant dill salad has 0 dill flavor, 0 garlic flavor and the pita bread was stale. Idk how you can ruin a super easy meal but I now know it's possible. $30 down the drain

Morten S.

Yelp
I ordered the lamb breakfast, and it was just stale pieces of low quality lamb meat floating in oil. We also ordered the pancakes with warm maple syrup, instead it came with worst kind of fake maple syrup, served cold in a small plastic container. Read all the reviews before you sit down here. Only Nonna next door has a lower rating. Management must be counting in one time guests with no need to actually having to make good food.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
So they have set up everything in the airport that you can order from an iPad just about anywhere. I sat down to charge my headphones and said why not have a little afternoon delight. LOL. Service seemed a little slow for the amount of people working. The tables were clean and the are was nicely decorated. Cute area in case you need to stop for a bite.

Sam C.

Yelp
Truly disgusting. I can get over airport high volume business practices, but probably one of the worst experiences I've had in an airport. Food is extremely overpriced ($30+tip) for a drink. Granted a double but the singles have no alcohol. Tacos were soggy with the sauce I ordered placed -next- to them them in a plastic takeout container, to ensure sogginess. Where I was sitting literally smelled like someone threw up there, combined with stale beer like a frat house floor. The kitchen was also visible which looked disgusting (pic attached). I will say the workers seemed to be doing the best they could and kind of knew it was so bad. They didn't bother to clear anything from the table as it was used/empty but goes with the rest of the ambiance.

Ivey L.

Yelp
Friendly service, delicious breakfast. I got the lamb and feta shakshuka and it was flavorful and overall fantastic. I like the ambience as well. Somewhat pricey, but standard for airports. You use a QR code to order, which is convenient and I got my food and beverages in a very reasonable amount of time. The server didn't revisit the table, but I didn't really need anything either.

Cindy F.

Yelp
This is an airport eating establishment. For what it is, it's just okay. I'm really not a fan of the ipad ordering system. I wish we ordered the old fashioned way but it is what it is. The service was pretty good, and the food was decent!

Juliana S.

Yelp
Teerriblee! Do yourself a favor and don't come here. We should have gotten just a sandwich at one of the regular stores and we did the mistake of not reading reviews and thinking sitting down would have a better quality service. First of all, most of the tables had plates on it, workers do the bare minimum. I ordered a creamy polenta bowl with a fried egg instead of soft. When the order came, it was a soft egg so I asked if it could be changed and the waiter clearly wasn't happy about it. Again, don't bother asking for any modifications because they won't read. The other plate, breakfast burrito, was missing the pesto sauce, no silverware until we asked. Food was cold and tasteless. Just skip this place, food and service are minus 5 starts.

Trevor S.

Yelp
They messed up drink orders, the food was terrible, YOU CAN'T GET A REFUND FOR ANYTHING ON SITE. They tell you that you can request a refund by emailing them and they'll get back to you in 5-7 business days, not that they will give you refund, just that they'll acknowledge your request. It has been over a week and I still have not received anything. All of their emails to me have been from no-reply email addresses so you can't even communicate with them. They clearly have no intention of refunding me anything. terrible terrible terrible

Chris G.

Yelp
Less than 1 star, thumbs down. I know it's hard to believe from previous reviews, but this place lives up to it's standard of delivering the SUCK. Onion should be the featured item on the menu, or maybe just change the name to House O' Onion, if you're maybe into that, just riffin' here... $30 is rough estimate if any version of onion styled dish you'll (maybe) see, along with a 30 min wait to deliver anything. Please close soon, you aren't doing anyone any favors.

Nadine M.

Yelp
I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. The quality of the food is soooo badddd! The pictures on the menu are extremely m misleading. The avocado was sour and mashed, the toast was soggy, the roasted potatoes were cold chopped up French fries, the scrambled eggs were from a carton. All for $30. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON FOOD HERE! The one star is for the ambiance. It was clean and across from my gate

Linda P.

Yelp
Delayed at Nerwark Airport so decided to eat here. What an impersonal place this is ! There was a "meet and greeter" at the opening to the eatery who I had to say looked like she hated everyone who came in. We sat down and were presented with an ipad and hadnt a clue what to do with it. We of course asked this lady and the look on her face said it all! When we eventually ordered my daughters meal came first, mine actually followed 30 mins later. I was about to go and cancel the order. All the staff were the same , not a smile, not a conversation...nothing! The food was just your typical fast food that tasted of nothing. As for Ambiance , believe me there was none..nothing..would never eat there again. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Charles F.

Yelp
This place claims to have vegetarian sandwiches. How would you know? The are no "v's, no "vg's", no "ve's". We asked a worker sans waiter (what is he, as we had to order online?) - if the cauliflower had animal products in it. He stated that the tahini did. This is a new twist. Who would ruin tahini by putting an animal product in it? Well, not surprised. The reviews indicate that only Nonna next store had lower ratings. This is hard to believe, how can you be lower than straight 1's? Anyway we decided on 2 salads for $17 each because they seemed safer. The salads came with maple syrup not dressing. Maybe they think fattoush is a pancake. You are on your own here. Good luck.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Ordered a dirty martini, waited 20 minutes, nothing ever came, addressed the issue with the bartender, then comes a drink with hair in it and gross looking olives. Unfriendly staff, no one pays attention to you, you order online and it's a poor overall experience

Lindsey K.

Yelp
Their saving grace to maybe make this worth it was that their food (the breakfast burrito is all I can speak for) was very, very good. However I only know this because I had some of my mother's burrito. I ordered and no food came for 49 minutes, we asked an employee and we're told "I'll check on it" but she never came back. 20 minutes later my parents asked again about their order and they got it 5 minutes later. I then asked about mine and was told "if you just ordered it will be another 25 minutes". When I explained I ordered an hour prior, she went back to the kitchen then someone else came out and started a refund process. I do not recommend trying to eat here unless you have a layover that is over 3 hours or you will never eat.

Demetria H.

Yelp
*UPDATE* Flora Cafe's senior management contacted me. After I provided some detail, my complaint was looked into. I did receive a full refund. I don't know if their policy has changed, as I have yet to return to that terminal at Newark airport. Also , I previously mentioned that the cafe charges 18% service fee. It is actually 20%

Jim A.

Yelp
This is just a giant rip-off. The food is a joke and prices are so astronomical, they refuse to print them on the menu outside the restaurant! I ordered a meat appetizer board, with cold cuts. It arrived looking like my 3-year-old was working in the kitchen. The wine, a California Merlot, tasted like it had been open for a week: sour, raunchy. I sent it back and the replacement was no better. The tomato soup was served at just barely higher than room temperature. It tasted like some cheap crap out of a supermarket can, which it probably was. They could at least heat it up! Airport restaurants like this one serve only to make the experience of flying even worse than it already is.

Lola M.

Yelp
Full of useless workers walking around puffing their chest I ask them why my food did not came with the sides I ordered and one of 'em looked at me like if I was crazy and had the nerve to tell me that the Philly cheese steak I ordered was already mixed with everything how there they presume I no no different. Nasty place food disgusting yuk ...

Eloy Y.

Yelp
My partner, his family and I have decided to stop at this establishment at Terminal C inside Newark Liberty for dinner. Ordering was done easily via iPad. However some of the listed food items like sandwiches didn't come up on the screen meaning they weren't making them. We all ordered various personal pizza pies such as margarita, cheese and spinach with artichoke. After 45 min wait and speaking to the staff numerous times only 1/2 of the orders arrived. Was able to taste one of the personal and the crust was just okay. Because we couldn't wait any longer, I spoke with the manager and asked for a refund. He apologized dearly, refunded the charge, and gave us a few slices. Unfortunately the service and delivery method failed at this place. We can't recommend this place unless one has a lot of time to spend at the airport.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I'm a regular flyer, so I've eaten at a lot of airport facilities and this was the worst of them all. I got the Pad Thai and added chicken to it for protein. And the noodles were devoid of any type of sauce or seasoning. Look how pale those noodles are. They should be colored from peanut sauce or something. The peppers were plain and the chicken was god awful. Definitely not restaurant quality. Overcooked and without a hint of flavor. Probably steamed with broccoli and just thrown in the bowl. I was shocked that this establishment still exists. The biggest waste of $30 I've ever spent.

Isa F.

Yelp
I'm a vegan and this was the ONLY place on the United Terminal with healthy vegan options my phone glitched whilst ordering. but the staff was v helpful and my salad was 100%

Mia M.

Yelp
Food is below average (even for airport food). Service does not exist. Took them over an hour to get me my food (avocado toast and oatmeal), and both were stone cold. To get anyone's attention here takes 20+ minutes. The people working are very rude, scattered, and unresponsive. Avoid at all costs. Wish I went to a vending machine instead.

John S.

Yelp
What's in this photo? Beer marked up 5x that's what's in this photo... Waaaaay overpriced. You'd be better off getting grub hub delivered here

Jeff T.

Yelp
Little to no interaction or interest in customer. No one checks to see if your happy with your order. Very expensive for drinks. 8 ounce drinks $20 a piece

Maddy F.

Yelp
Would have given them zero stars but that's not allowed. Worst service ever and even for an airport the prices are gouging. Worst part is the service; they force you to use an app that barely works with their wifi and when you try to ask any questions they just keep pointing at the app. Can't ask questions even about the app because they're too busy. I don't know who came up with the app idea but all we saw was a lot of people doing very little and using the app to do even less.

Ann G.

Yelp
Terrible service. My daughter got her meal which was almost the same as mine and I waited additional 20 minutes for my chicken wrap. No wait or or waitress to be accountable to your order.

Kelly B.

Yelp
Worst service in the airport by far. I went to ask a gentleman to turn the station from a 2018 golf tournament to the MLB home run derby and never got the question out before I was told it's too busy. I then watched as the staff ignored first timers who didn't know how to navigate the United menu. One lady has been waiting 10 minutes (and counting) for a beer. The only helpful bartender was the lone woman...who advised they don't have a remote control and can't control the screens. Avoid this place at all cost.

Dia S.

Yelp
Wait staff were friendly. Food disgusting. Eggs were so overcooked brown. But I was willing to accept that until I took a bite of salad and realized the slime in my mouth. Looked closer and saw many leaves brown wilted and slimy. Manager defended the food saying the lettuce just came out of the bag. Sorry but a new bag of lettuce does not mean it is fresh. He refused to refund my money and said if I had wanted to send it back I should have done so right away. Mind you I ate about 5 bites of egg before taking bite of salad which put me over the edge. Totally lost my appetite. Disappointed. But not my last meal. Just my last meal here.

Walid S.

Yelp
Their wings were crisp on the outside and bloody uncooked in the inside. The staff were helpful and courteous but would not return or redo the inedible food. The pizza was in par with the supermarket frozen version. Nothing to call home about. The burgers were acceptable. It is an airport counter service which rarely impresses anyhow.

Even O.

Yelp
Stir fried seriously? It's really just noodles soaked in soy sauce. Photo is how it looks like when served. All the noodles are broken. Besides it's too salty and only with carrots and cabbage. Can't even finish but have Dunkin' Donuts instead. Waste of money

Lamont S.

Yelp
Not bad for what it's worth. You sit down scan QR code & order. Then voila! A human drops it off at your table. I'm just iffy about the prices. BUT I understand, the airport probably charges the restaurants an insane amount for rent. It's the perfect set up. Corral a bunch of adults with money into a limited area with limited choices of food & most importantly, alcohol! The old fashioned was delicious. The turner & ham club should've been toasted or offered the choice for toasting. But it was a decent sandwich for a hungry traveler needing some morning alcohol before a flight. For folks like me (and probably some of the servers) it's a blessing to just order from phone & have food dropped off with no small talk. I would say to the execs of this company that they should just go all out & buy those robotic servers. Pay a hefty one time order fee but save in the long run on salaries, unpredictable workers, etc.

S F.

Yelp
THIS RESTAURANT STOLE MY MONEY on 7/20/23. They have not refunded it after 8 days. Still waiting. Very poor customer service. If you are not staffed, close tables and don't let people sit, order from phone, pay in advance including tip and wait forever. This is a trap. DON'T go to this place. Party of four waited 10 minutes for table to be cleaned. Ordered $230 worth of food and drinks as two separate orders from one table. It took more than 40 minutes to serve food from the first order. Order was served incorrectly. Second order was never served after more than 50 minutes. Since the order wasnt served I went to the bar to inquire about the order and asked them to cancel since my boarding time was approaching. Bartender (tall with glasses who appears to be in his 50s) provided instructions how to request refund via OTG app. I submitted a request but nave not received a receipt that my order was cancelled. I asked for receipt and he said they don't give printed receipts. Per the instrctions from bartender, he showed me how to request refund via the app for the orders that were not served. it has been 8 days since I was at the restaurant and requested refund for the items I never received. I was contacted back after I reached out to them several times. They told me to submit again. The charges posted to my account. THIS RESTAURANT STOLE MY MONEY. The bartender with glasses is the one who refused to issue receipt and refund money for the food that was never served. Food quality was very bad. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Don't over pay. This place is a trap. Once you order and tip them in advance you are trapped.

K K.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs. There's better options in terminal C. The food here is trash. Ordered a pastrami sandwich, got mostly fat and gristle. My son ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with onion rings, got some school cafeteria chicken patty and fries. Had to clean the table myself before sitting down because they were all nasty. The bar staff was friendly, which is the only good thing I can say.

Harper E.

Yelp
Here for breakfast, I ordered the lamb shakshuka. After about 15 minutes, a waiter came out to tell me that they were out of lamb today. I asked, well, can they make it with a different meat? He said, sure, they can make it with sausage. After another 10 minutes, the waiter came out again with a small dish of just sausage and told me, actually, they were also out of all the other ingredients for the shakshuka, did I want an omelet instead? Sure -- I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet. That took another 15 minutes. It is a ham and cheese omelet. Despite all that, the omelet is fine, so I'm giving this place three stars. But it's very weird.

Amy S.

Yelp
Good grief. Talk about expensive for little good. The $34 salmon was good but just a piece of salmon. No rice, no starch of any kind. No vegetables at all just a piece of salmon. The burger didn't fare much better. Good burger cold fries. Only can order from a QR code and food comes out when it's done not together. Sadly not many sit down choices in that part of Terminal C.

Lorraine S.

Yelp
Ordered 2 meals, 1 drink and 1 soft drink for $88. My meal came out but my husbands didn't. Waited 25 minutes before manager came out. Don't waste your time on this overpriced and unorganized place!

Chris J.

Yelp
This "restaurant," if you can call it that, should be shut down. I don't make a comment like that lightly. My recent visit to Flora was the single-most unpleasant restaurant experience I have had in years. I found the food they served me almost inedible. It was a joke. And for this they kept me waiting 40 minutes. It was supposed to have been a hot meal. Instead, it arrived stone-cold. And for that joy I paid $18. What's worse, the place was severely understaffed. I saw just one - or maybe two - waiters working on the floor trying to serve well over 100 customers. The poor people were running themselves into the ground. It took forever for someone to come clean my table after the previous guest. And as mentioned, 40 minutes for my pathetic meal to arrive. Given the inconvenience and limited choices available when ordering through the Flora touchscreen menus, combined with unreasonable delays in service, combined with lousy food, I would strongly encourage other passengers looking for a place to eat to keep looking. There's a reason this place maintains just a two-star Yelp rating.

Erlinda L.

Yelp
This place is awful. Never received my order, couldnt get an immediate refund . Run around from some management company that runs all these awful places. Rip off, .Stay away. Food I got was cold and real junk

enrico c.

Yelp
Stay away from this place. Overwhelmed staff, lousy cold food. Items never received chasing workers around to get help . Still waiting on a refund for items not received. Very few viable choices in that terminal. This should not ever be considered a choice

Samuel C.

Yelp
Ho hum Middle Eastern food at Airport Prices. Many things come straight outta the jar. When you gotta eat, you gotta eat and you can do that here. Still, the food is not the headline story here. * * * The headline story is the electronics. Newark Airport and the mega-vendor who owns many of the food establishments in the airport have invested big-time in tablet computers for every table. The tablets stand vertically blocking the line of sight between you and your companion. You order on the tablet. You pay on the tablet. You access the internet on the tablet. You play games on the tablet. The tablets dominate everything on the table and are the number one fact-of-life about the restaurant. So management had better hope the tablets work. Do you see a potential problem here? * * * Tablets break. Tablets break fast. They break even faster when nine million random orangutans are punching and poking the tablet in every way possible. Restaurant customers are more intelligent and more sophisticated than is the average random orangutan. However, restaurant customers pound the tablets just like the orangutans and wear the tablets down just like the orangutans. At my table with four seats, one of the tablets was missing (presumably hors de combat.) One had a weak battery and went dark multiple times to save its dwindling life. The other two had screens that were in their own private sensory deprivation chamber. They could barely see me. They could barely hear me. Each key had to be punched about six times to get a response. * * * It didn't help that telecommunications around the restaurant were falling apart. The big screen TV's had a failing signal. You got to see your show 20% off the time. The rest of the time you got a "Signal Interrupted. Contact Your Provider" display. Because of the telecommunications breakdown, the servers had to come and manually help everyone who was ordering. From a business standpoint, management should have just given the servers paper and pencil and have them take our order themselves. * * * I personally hate the tablet-in-restaurants movement Who wants a stupid tablet computer between yourself and the dining partner you love? Okay, I have a small number of dining companions for which having a tablet computer between me and them would be just fine. Better yet, we should have Trump come to my restaurant table and build his entire wall right there. However, I like most of the people I have dinner with. For those folks tablets in the middle are not welcome. Tablets that don't work are even less welcome. Most tablets are going to end up not working eventually. I say we face the inevitable. Let's just bag this whole tablet-at-the-table movement in the first place.

Yelp
DONT DO IT! RUN! Worst sandwich of my life! I ordered a rubeun, they gave me cold meat, cold cheese on white bread, no condements, no chips no fries, nothing, sandwich was Expensive! Everything in Newark airport is a cash grab, they had to pay for the iPad systema somehow While the employees make less

Tanja V.

Yelp
Worst service ever. Sat at a table with disgusting trash for 30 min despite asking two people to bus it. Forgot half our order. Couldn't even get bottled water!

Leah P.

Yelp
The service here was absolute crap. Do not even bother sitting here. Unless you find it entertaining for the place you're dining at to lose your order and then they only give you half of it when it does come out. It looks like a cute location but beware. Waste of money and time.

Michelle F.

Yelp
Get a bagel. Hard to mess that up. The breakfast burrito was almost inedible and highway robbery.

Elby C.

Yelp
Ordered from the iPad without knowing where the food was coming from. The pictures were accurate. Buffalo wings nicely spiced. Quesadilla with chicken and jack cheese had generous amount of chicken. But the real star was the service. We ordered too close to our departure- the lady took my seat number and bagged up the food to deliver to me on the flight! She found me in line waiting to board so it turned out not to be necessary, but I was impressed.
