"There are quite a few group exercise classes within three miles of this MiMo vegetarian spot. There’s also a kids’ gymnastics camp directly next door in case you’ve bonded with a fellow parent over your children’s lack of balance on the balance beam. There’s tons of space, so you won’t have to worry about hunting for a seat. You can sit at the counter and throw back a $13 wellness shot, or nibble vegetables on the big patio. Order something from the pastry case to keep things very quick." - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer
"Flora is a crisp MiMo restaurant with a huge outdoor patio, lots of counter seating great for dining solo, and a menu that revolves around vegetables in the form of sandwiches, bowls, and salads. If you are trying to save money, don’t do it here. You will pay $22 for a breakfast sandwich. But at least that sandwich comes with good service and a peaceful environment free from wellness influencers loudly reviewing their Mediterranean salmon wrap into propped-up iPhones. The long tables outside can also fit an obnoxiously large group, in case you’ve made friends with your entire prenatal yoga class." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer
"Innovative plant-powered meals with a focus on sustainability and a unique Latin twist are the focus of this 5,800-square-foot “vegetarian sanctuary. ” Guests can dine on plenty of breakfast items, sandwiches, bowls, and dinner meals, such as veggie tartare with chicharron or black risotto tossed with charcoal artichokes, broccolini, spinach, leek, and goat cheese foam." - Juliana Accioly
"Flora is a MiMo cafe with lots of solid options if you’re looking for a vegetarian breakfast or lunch. The spacious cafe is quiet enough to read a book and the long bar is good for eating solo and getting some work done between bites of huevos pericos. The menu has a Latin influence to it, but also has plenty of your basic healthy breakfast/lunch hits like smoothies, açaí bowls, vegetable bowls, and plant-based burgers. There’s also an outdoor patio with long tables that’s great if you’re trying to eat with an obnoxiously big group." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
