Wandered into this spot and the vibes felt warm and inviting! I had their mint lemonade(fresh) and the mushroom mozzarella panini with fries! They have this ketchup that gives Heinz a run for their money. The food was full of flavor and very fresh! The staff were delightful and I will definitely be back! Can’t recommend this place enough.

We came for brunch with our dog and everyone was super friendly. We ordered: French onion soup (very good rich flavor in the broth and great cheese crust) Artichokes were nice and crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside Burger was good too and we especially enjoyed fries with homemade aioli sauce

Had dinner for my friends birthday. The place was a 10/10 the food was a 10/10. Perfect for a night out, dinner with your friends or family, or just a date night. Highly reccomend if your looking to try an Israeli style restaurant with perfect service and great atmosphere.

Absolutely loved my experience at Florentin in Manhattan! The service was outstanding — super friendly and professional from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. The atmosphere was great too — stylish and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in the city!

Had a great visit. The menu is pretty large and offers something for everyone. Everything we tried was tasty and service was very kind. Great atmosphere.

I rarely leave reviews, but I had to this time. My two friends and I were just wandering around looking for a place to grab drinks when Florentin immediately caught my eye. The warm, ambient lighting was so inviting. We were seated right by the open French doors, letting in the soft spring evening air and the lively buzz from the outdoor tables and passersby. The music set the perfect vibe—and the friendly owner even shared the jazz house playlist with me on Spotify. Staff was lovely, the cocktails were excellent (you have to try the Florentini), and the place was so chic overall. Definitely coming back for food next time.

Google
A truly fantastic experience all around. The owner could not have been lovelier. He treated us like gold from the moment we walked in. Luckily enough, the weather happened to be sunny so we sat outside and enjoyed a delicious brunch. The Shakshouka was A+. We also loved their crispy fries, burrata and salad. Next time I must try the schnitzel!

Google
Great food. Proportions are good as well. Waiter took a while to come back despite not much people being there but was nice and hospitable. I would recommend the carbonara and if you like a kick add some of their spicy oil.

Yelp
I thought this new neighborhood spot was great! My boyfriend and I stopped in for their outdoor happy hour on a beautiful evening ($12 classic cocktails and good wine/beer deals). We got the burrata app, which was great. I got the smash burger (YUMMMM) and he got the chicken schnitzel platter, which were both delicious. The burger was seriously good, if you're looking for an elevated smash burger. Fries were a little skinny for my taste but I know many like them super crispy and thin like that. Service was just ok - we first sat on one side of the patio and had a lovely waitress, but switched to the other side for a steadier table with a very indifferent waitress. She didn't seem to care about our experience so much. I'm so happy this place opened up! I feel like the neighborhood was lacking in swanky, chic, but affordable places like Florentin. I will most definitely be back.

Yelp
Okay the Chicken Schnitzel is delish! It's perfectly crispy and served with tangy sauces and lemon. And a handful of crispy fries! Do not miss this!!! Came here with a friend for Sunday lunch- was decently busy. Got the standout chicken schnitzel to split, and also their eponymous salad. Salad was fine, chicken amazing. Overall nice spot on the UWS. Would come back for the schnitzel!

Yelp
We went with my daughter and her boyfriend on a Sunday night. It was not very busy. We had the msabbaha appetizer, the chicken sandwich, schnitzel, and the freekeh risotto. The service was very bad. They apparently served our order to another table, and did not notice for 30 minutes. The msabbaha was ok, but a bit bland. The chicken sandwich was very good, the schnitzel was a bit dry and overdone. And the risotto also a bit bland. We were very disappointed.

Yelp
There's been a lot of turnover in this space; this restaurant may break the spell! The restaurant is nicely done. Seems to be doing very well as there wasn't an empty seat on Thursday night! We originally planned to go for happy hour. Their happy hour is 5-7 at the bar only. $6 beers, $8 wine glasses and $12 classic cocktails, the signature cocktails are not included. When I called to ask about happy hour they said food specials are being worked on. I started with the French onion soup $12. Compared to other French onion soups I've had recently this is the most reasonably priced! It was good. Plenty of cheese! The little piece of bread in it got lost at the bottom but that didn't bother me. I had the schnitzel sandwich. There was a misunderstanding with our order though. The waitress thought I said "schnitzel plate." I actually didn't even know there was a plate since I only looked at the sandwiches knowing this was what I wanted. @thebestofthewestside featured the sandwich. Luckily they took the schnitzel plate and turned it into a sandwich ( hopefully that was what was done so there was no waste!). I was very happy with the sandwich. More flavorful. The chicken was a bit tough though. I sat near the kitchen so I observed many of the dishes coming out, so many looked good - the salmon, grilled chicken sandwich! Finished off the meal with the Florentirmisu $10. Didn't love. It was too creamy for my liking.

Yelp
Great restaurant for al fresco dining. Has a ton of outdoor seating and floor to ceiling door/windows where you can catch a nice breeze. Great for a warm night. I think the restaurant says its open 5-10pm daily however went at 4pm on a Saturday and it was open. Had their spritz which was a play on an Aperol Spritz- it was very refreshing. The Chicken Schnitzel Plate was heavenly. Cooked to perfection and had crispy string fries on top. Loved the fresh lemon and condiments it came with. Only off putting part was the water. It was oddly lukewarm.

Yelp
An excellent brunch spot I will certainly return. My nephew is particularly picky and yet what a qualities spot north I also would highly recommend the pomegranate lemonade. The server recommended it to me, and it comes with a nice mint which really adds to it.

Yelp
I came here after walking by on a Saturday night for dinner. We were seated pretty quickly and we had high hopes given the reviews. The crowd does skew older, a few kinks with our ordering with the staff but overall the staff is helpful. I ordered a martini with a twist and extra dirty and it came without the twist. I didn't think it was balanced well and was difficult to finish, my husband ordered a martini with a twist and it was similarly unbalanced. We orderd the steak frites, each of us, and the beets and labneh. The beets were the best thing about the evening and set really high hopes for the steak frites, that were unfortunately not met. I would definitely order the labneh again and other appetizers, but I'm very wary of their entrees. My husband ordered medium and I ordered medium well, and both came one layer undercooked. My steak was very red and I wasn't able to finish it unfortunately. The fries were mediocre as well, overcooked and undersalted. My husband finished his steak but was not very pleased with it. It was validating to us that we looked around at the crowd and a lot of patrons had left food on their plates as well. I think over time, Florentin will find their groove and I can see it getting better, but for now, I'd say skip.

Yelp
We had a nice meal at Florentin. We live nearby and hope this spot will last--to that end, here are a few constructive comments on our experience: First, it would be helpful to have better air circulation or AC. We sat in the back corner and at times it was hot. Second, the service was prompt, but a little immature and unprofessional. We asked our waitress about the most popular dishes and she was unable to provide a real answer; she also stacked the plates on our table when she cleared the dishes. Third, we enjoyed our mains (steak frites and spicy rigatoni) but the caesar salad left something to be desired. I would recommend serving it as a chopped salad, rather than in quartered romaine hearts, and not grilled. Finally, you should have regular Heinz ketchup. This is a non-negotiable for restaurants--Sir Kensington and the like simply don't suffice! We will be back but there is room for improvement, which we hope to see!

Yelp
I've eaten here twice and have nothing but great things to say about it. The food, the service, the ambiance are all top notch! Both times we found the waitresses to be very attentive and welcoming. Maya and Erica both make you feel like family. The owner knows how to run a restaurant! He hires good people. Shout out to the kitchen staff too - Fast. Now on to the food.... Had one of the best beet and labneh salads I've ever eaten. Also, had really flavorful French onion soup, a Schnitzel Sandwich to die for (the jicama apple slaw is amazing), and a smash burger that edges out the viral smash burger at Au Cheval downtown. Check it out. You wont be disappointed! Highly recommended!

Yelp
A lot of potential but utterly wasted. We started our dinner waiting 20 minutes to get seated after our reservation time. The host, presenting as a pawnshop Russell Brand with somehow even less charisma, told us the table was being cleaned. For 20 minutes? We got seated. We must have been there for an hour and change and we received a couple visits from our server. She was great, but my fiancée observed it may have just been her alone working the floor. That was the only reason I gave any tip. I ate 20 minutes ago and I can't even opine on how the food was. I just wanted it to end. I need to revisit the K-Mart Russell Brand. While we continued to wait for service to close, he was sitting at a table outside scrolling on his phone. My fiancée also offered the theory he was either drunk or drugged out of his mind - somehow that feels more comforting than the more prosaic explanation that the service, spearheaded by this brute, was utterly abysmal.

Yelp
I've been to Florentin several times now with my friends and it doesn't disappoint. I had the crispy artichoke with the tartar for a starter and it was really spot on. Then, I had the risotto for the main course. It's smoked and you could really tell the difference, and its a nice combo with the feta and parmesan. What really impressed us were the desserts. We learned that they are fresh baked. The tirmisu is not to be missed and the chocolate cake was great too. The music and the decor is really chill and fun too. I look forward to going back.

Yelp
I love meditation food and as soon as I heard there is a new Israeli restaurant I was on my way. From the moment I step in all was great, food service. I love it and definitely recommend it and go there again.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVED our dinner last night at Florentin. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Had a bunch of appetizers, including 2 salads, roasted carrots, crispy, artichoke (that was amazing) and fried cheese. For my entrée I had Branzino with broccolini, which was done to perfection. We had three desserts, including a moose, a flourless chocolate cake, and an Israeli version of tiramisu. So delicious. Also giving a shout out to our amazing waitress Emily, who was extremely attentive, smiley and happy to serve our group. Will Absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
One of our favorite bartenders landed here and we went to see our Kate on Friday evening and had an amazing meal to boot! The food is quite eclectic and leans Mediterranean but there's definitely something tasty for everyone! Check it out, you'll thank me later!

Yelp
This was a mixed bag of an experience. The service was odd, as for most of our meal we were the only people in the restaurant. Our waiter was no where to be found, and frankly seemed as if he did not want to be bothered. The food was good the risotto was a delicious choice for a vegetarian. My husband enjoyed the schnitzel. Maybe with time they will work through service issues. The look of the restaurant is lovely.

Yelp
Four of us had dinner last night. All the food was good. Steak frites was very good. Service was attentive and pleasant. Two gripes: there's no place to hang your coat so everyone is forced to drape them over chairs or, if you're sitting on a banquette, which is tight, you literally have to sit on your coat. A simple coat rack and a few hooks on the walls would help. Also, they don't give you a paper check. The server stands at your table and shows you your bill on a handheld electronic device. Very awkward, especially if one person is treating. Bring back the printed check!

Yelp
This place is destined for greatness. Having just randomly stopping in for brunch for first time, I was blown away. The food is seasoned so thoughtfully, the menu is diverse, the service is really great - you can tell they like being there. I ended up going back the next day! I am going to be a regular for sure!

Yelp
Great food, drinks, service, ambience. glad to have it in the neighborhood! we had the garganelli and the rigatoni, and the burrata. everything was delicious. can't wait to try their brunch! highly recommend if you haven't been here yet!

Yelp
Being a long time patron of Bustan, for nights out with friends, my buddies and I were thrilled to hear that the restaurant group was opening a new restaurant directly across the street. We decided to check it out. Florentin lives up to the hype! The food was high quality and flavorful. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was chic and relaxed. Definitely a great choice for dining out with a romantic interest, family, or with friends. Will definitely come back soon.

Yelp
Delicious food, and great service. On Saturday night the place was packed! I wish they will do something about the acoustics so people don't need to talk so loudly...

Yelp
Florentin is a busy, bustling (noisy) place on a Saturday night, with the vibe of an "in" place. That's fun enough. My branzino was absolutely delicious. As were the fries that we ordered. And that's all I'd go back for. The artichoke appetizer was uninteresting, more of chain restaurant quality than a new, special, "go to" haunt. And the salad of little gem lettuces was really messy to look at (presentation guys, presentation ... eyes are the first thing to taste a dish) and were disappointingly mediocre in flavor, not worth finishing, and I love, love salad. The chicken paillard was tasty, as was the schnitzel. But, again, nothing special. The chocolate cake got mixed reviews -- 2 of us liked it, one among us did not. That was the only dish about wish there was any disagreement among us. And now for the service. I think the front of the house has to get its act together. There is no one thoughtfully perusing tables to see what is needed and coordinate timing. Our entrees came out while our appetizer plates were still on the table -- between the one server balancing the 3 plates and the 3 of us we did manage to make it work. But, come on. Those plates should've been whisked away beforehand. Likewise, when we were done eating, the entree plates were removed one at a time, with the 3rd plate lingering in front of my friend way, way too long. Again, who is paying attention here? I finally had to engage the host to get the plate, though he'd already walked past us at least 2-3 times and not noticed. I will say that my husband was more forgiving of the service than I, so if you care little about service you won't be bothered. Sorry to say that I will stick with my regular spot further south on Amsterdam Ave. Talk to the folks at Salumeria Rosi, they may be game to give you a tip or two about managing the front of the house.

Morgan M.

Yelp
Finally! A great addition to the UWS. I had the Branzino which was made without fuss, which I like. The chicken paillard was really good-- the tapenade made the dish a nice play on this traditional dish. We loved the artichokes and carrots. Recommend!

Yelp
It's very hard to find a vegetarian French onion soup and theirs is delicious! The two vegetarian main options were both grain based so I opted to skip them and instead have some vegetable sides as a main dish. The cheese soufflé was not that great. The beets and carrots were good. I had the flourless dark chocolate cake as dessert and it was terrible (a bitter brick). We were given strangely small water glasses. I looked around and other people had somewhat bigger water glasses, but in any case, it was really awkward because I would just take a few steps and it would be empty. It might be nice if they added a jar of water that could be poured in by ourselves since while it is well staffed, the staff is young and tend to congregate together by the bar. Their bread is delicious. However, it needs to be asked for instead of just put on the table. All in all the atmosphere is lovely and the soup was very special. The rest ranged from good to "meh."

Yelp
Very cute neighborhood restaurant. Owner was very nice, server was great and delicious food.
