At Georgetown’s New Flame-Fed Steakhouse, Don’t Sleep on the Pasta | Eater DC

"Accessed through a charming flower shop next door, this surprise subterranean bar is bathed in blue with handsome nautical decor, and its “Legendary Cocktails” list nods to D.C.’s Scottish settlers and tales of the Potomac—try a Tide Water Martini with Maryland crab-stuffed olives bobbing inside. Making a hotly anticipated stateside debut alongside its sibling in Georgetown, the Buenos Aires–born basement bar currently ranks among the World’s 50 Best; set beneath what used to be D.C.’s oldest firehouse along the C&O Canal, the experience begins in that enchanting flower shop, which even stocks natural wines sold until 2 a.m." - Tierney Plumb

Florería Atlántico - Review - Georgetown - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"Florería Atlántico, a beloved Buenos Aires bar, has opened a DC outpost in Georgetown with a dual concept: a street-level flower shop for petunias and dahlias that hides the entrance to the speakeasy-style bar. Cocktails start flowing at 4pm, while the restaurant side, Brasero Atlántico, will debut later with wood-fired Argentine dishes." - Omnia Saed

The Most Exciting D.C. Restaurant Openings to Look Forward to This Fall | Eater DC

"Making a hotly anticipated stateside debut along the C&O Canal, this sibling to Buenos Aires’ famed basement bar (which ranks among the World’s 50 Best) sits below an enchanting flower shop stocked with natural wines sold until 2 a.m., in a historic firehouse reimagined by founder Renato “Tato” Giovannoni." - Tierney Plumb

Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week: April 26 | Eater DC

"Takeout from this Lima‑rooted pop‑up was beautifully plated in containers: a citrusy causa with avocado and kewpie chicken salad, arroz con mariscos with tender shrimp/calamari/octopus, and a lomo saltado with oyster‑sauced depth — fine dining translated well to takeout." - Eater Staff

Really cool dope concept with a flower shop up top with a full bar and lounge hidden underneath. Once you walk in they take you to a door that leads downstairs into this vibey, cool lounge and bar space. Like the name, it gives underwater vibes. Deep blues, low mood lights and visuals that feel like you're in the ocean. It's a great space for dinner or for drinks with friends or a date. Later in the evening a DJ came on and added to the vibes. I would go back just for that. The service was great. The bartenders were very friendly and did a great job of answering all of our questions. They gave us good drink recommendations which we really appreciated. The food was solid. We ordered the wings, king crab empanadas, fries and the lomo completo. The standout items were the fries and the drinks. The cocktails are on the pricier side but are worth it. For desert we tried the chocotorta and we were a bit underwhelmed. We ordered it because we saw a beautiful version of it online, but what we got was smaller and looked totally different. It still tasted fine but we were disappointed that it wasn't what we expected. Overall Floreria Atlantico has great vibes and great drinks. I will definitely add this to the list of cool places to kick it for a good time and good vibe. I would be open to trying other items on the menu and I will definitely come back for the drinks.

We were lucky to grab a reservation because as we plucked some flowers to make a bouquet (prior to being seated) we watched the hostess turn away many for a 1.5 hour wait! While still in its opening stages and working out some kinks, this is a great speakeasy with innovative but decently priced cocktails. Our service was excellent, the cocktails were fun (I do hope the menu expands!) and the flower shop above is a lovely twist!

Google
Absolutely delicious food and cocktails, and a really cool vibe. Got 3 or 4 small things and split a main and that was plenty. Sampled basically every cocktail they had, and the staff were so friendly. Only thing I ding it for and not giving it 5 stars is it's SO LOUD. We sat at the bar and we're next to each other and could barely hear each other

Floreria Atlantico has one of the coolest concepts in DC. You walk into a gorgeous flower shop, and are then led through a dark passageway with star-dotted fishing nets draped on the ceiling, to a nautical-themed cocktail bar. The lighting makes you feel like you’re underwater, and the decor is reminiscent of what you’d find on a ship. The cocktails boast unusual combinations, all with a botanical flourish. The Chai Carrot Cake, one of the Fall local offerings, was refreshing, sweet, with a spiced aftertaste. The Negroni Balestrini is a smoky, herbal twist on the classic. Frankly, every single cocktail on the menu sounds like a good time.

Google
The famous Buenos Aires speakeasy has arrived in DC! The storefront sells beautiful fresh floral arrangements and a good selection of natural wine. Then you head through a large door to the basement speakeasy. There are a good amount of lounge tables and bar seating. We went on opening night, so the service still has to work out some kinks. But the quality of these cocktails is unbelievable. The martini was so well balanced — and had crab stuffed olives. The Negroni was smokey and garnished with eucalyptus. Order the empanadas — you will not regret it. Can’t wait for their full restaurant to open soon.

Google
Very happy to find Argentina so well represented by Floreria Atlantico. The food was great, milanesas are marvellous and empanadas de ossobuco are amazing. Great selection of wines and the cocktails are just incredible. The only thing I’d suggest is improving the music and making it closer to South America!

Google
Lovely hidden bar below their flower market. It's fresh and they clearly have spent a load of time and money building this place out. The drinks are great, but they are pricy.

Edit: Floreria seems to have either deleted my review, or flagged it as inappropriate, which feels incredibly irresponsible. I'm sharing my experience to ensure others with nut allergies don't have the same dangerous & disrespectful experience as I did. I had a very alarming experience at Florería this evening. I have a nut allergy, and I was served the classic Negroni Balestrini, which I had already taken a few sips of before realizing it contained pine nuts—an ingredient not listed anywhere on the menu (see attached photo). The bar was so dark it was impossible to see the drink, and when I asked a server, his dismissive response was, “If you see pine nuts in there, then it has pine nuts in there,” as if it were my fault for not somehow “seeing” them despite the menu not listing nuts at all. This is absolutely unacceptable—menus should clearly state all ingredients, especially allergens, and staff should respond with care and professionalism, not attitude. On top of that, the other cocktail we ordered tasted like it had no alcohol in it. Completely avoidable and incredibly disappointing; we will not be returning.

Yelp
Florería Atlántico is hidden in the back of a floral shop, which is such a cute touch. The whole vibe is moody, cozy, and a little mysterious in the best way. I got the ossobuco and the crab empanada, and definitely recommend trying both. They were incredible. Also tried the ostra atlántica (you only get one oyster, but it was really good) and the choripán costanera, which I loved too. Service was great, drinks were also great, and the music added to the whole experience. Such a cool spot. Perfect for date night or cocktails with friends.

Yelp
Definitely feel like they are trying too hard. It's confusing to enter because the restaurant next door has the address above it so we didn't know where to enter. Luckily the restaurant can check the speakeasy's reservations. We had a reservation and service was great. Vibe was mixed (90s music and a seaside theme). The drinks were delicious and many had interesting ingredients. Most food was not large enough to be sharable. I ordered the steak with chimichurri, and while the steak had a good flavor, it was not cooked to my requested temperature and was pretty fatty and difficult to cut. The flatbreads were the best part of the dish. Not on my list for a return visit.

Yelp
Came here opening week and had a great time. The flower shop is beautiful, cheerful, and carries a small assortment of Argentinian pastries. In the back is a refrigerator door which takes you downstairs to the speakeasy. The bar has a 90s, underwater vibe. I wasn't a fan of the carpeting of it though - it made the place feel like a hotel bar a bit. Nonetheless, a great wine and cocktail menu. We opted for a bottle of wine which the sommelier helped us choose. This is not a dinner place. The menu has light snacks to accompany drinks. I recommend the tuna crudo and ossobucco empanadas (comes with 2 per order). Visitors near us were complaining about the wait time for cocktails being 20 to 30 minutes. It didn't bother us since this is fairly normal when a new place opens.

Yelp
Florería Atlántico has finally opened! We were able to check out their flower shop, which featured a beautiful selection of florals and natural wines - The bar, in which the original location is in Spain, has opened one up in Georgetown! We ordered some wine as well as tried their empanadas - fries served as a side were hot and crispy! Love their seating arrangement, especially the pear-like mosaic tables! Staff were attentive and friendly! Metered parking can be found in the area!

Yelp
We went to the speakeasy a few days after opening but didn't have food. Drinks were good! Service was excellent. Especially Dana in the flowers shop and our bartender Nicco. I'm in love with the upstairs flower room. The bar is chic and cozy. This a a nice addition to Georgetown nightlife.

Yelp
Two words for the two stars. Pretentious and difficult. Food and drinks were fine. I'll never be back nor will I ever recommend.

Yelp
Went day two.....it's ok as they're still finding their footing. We sat at a booth which was nice, but the cocktail tables are too low, and really don't fit with the vibe. Also, the lighting is a little too direct and needs to be dimmed a little more for the sexy vibe you'd expect from a speak easy. The cocktails were mostly a miss for me and I suspect they're batched. As a result you hear very little cocktail shaking which resulted in under chilled cocktails. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was a bit of a miss, except for the empanadas which were quite tasty. The wings were tasteless and served with a very grassy herb sauce. The "green salad" which is really potato salad with green peas was very sauce heavy but edible. I wouldn't make the effort to get back to this side of town to go here again anytime soon.
