A New Plant and Wine Bar is Coming to North Loop | Eater Austin

"Opening on Friday, October 24 at 5003 Airport Boulevard, this hybrid wine bar and plant shop brings a leafy retail space and an “approachable, joyful, and unpretentious” wine program to North Loop. Founded by longtime friends Rachel Roberts and Dale Ellington—she a lifelong Austinite who grew Flourish from a small North Loop plant shop and drew on time at Fonda San Miguel and Tacodeli; he with 13 years of wine expertise including The Library Wine Bar in Houston—the spot pours wines by the glass and bottle from classic regions like France, Italy, and Spain, alongside picks from South Africa, Texas, and women-led wineries. Light bites are built to pair seamlessly with the pours: shareable meat and cheese boards, preserved seafood, and snacks like Castelvetrano olives, Marcona almonds, and housemade potato chips. Opening day runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a ribbon cutting, a local artists pop-up, happy hour, and an evening party, after which regular hours are Sunday–Thursday 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. There’s also a “Cool Kids Membership” with members-only happy hours, discounts on plants and wine, and seasonal events, all in service of what Ellington calls “a place that felt like an exhale,” where “people could be surrounded by natural beauty, drink incredible wines, and actually relax — a plant and wine spa, if you will.”" - H. Stellar vibe at night. Our party had a great time interacting with Dale as he told us about Flourish. He didn’t even mention it was also a plant shop (omg!) because we were just enjoying the wine and small snacks and the company. I stopped by with friends last night while waiting for our table at Rocco’s and what a treat this was! Super cute aesthetic and Dale was the BEST at recommending wines and sips from the menu that I’d enjoy (and I did, so good)! We will definitely be going back!

I just moved to Austin yesterday and found out tonight that this place opened yesterday — what perfect timing! It’s such a great spot with wonderful vibes, friendly people, and really good wine. The owner clearly knows their stuff and matched my taste perfectly. Highly recommend checking it out!

Stopped in here while visiting Austin this past weekend. We were looking a for a fun place to have some wine and small snacks. Anticipated staying for a drink and snack but ended up staying for much longer! The bites were fun + tasty and the wine list was unique and less mainstream. I would highly recommend for date night!

Flourish is like a deep breath wrapped in good smells and better wine. The space is stunning — all soft light, greenery, and calm — but the wine program keeps things delightfully grounded. It’s curated with serious skill but never takes itself too seriously. I left feeling relaxed, happy, and already plotting my return.

Interesting concept shop for plants while enjoying a glass of wine. Flourish Plant Shop and Wine Bar are located on Airport Blvd. My curiosity was in high exploration mode today. So I decided to visit. The wine bar is on one side of the building, whereas the plant shop is on the other side of the building. You can freely walk between the two spaces. The plant shop is currently under construction. Rachel, the owner, said membership is available in the "Cool Kids Club"at $100 annually. Check with business regarding associated perks.
