The Best Ice Cream Shops in Houston, Texas | Eater Houston

"Accents of pink and white decor set a blissful atmosphere at this ice cream shop. With a name that’s a homonym of “flour” and “flower” (“flour” represents the baked treats and mix-ins made in-house, while “flower” signifies the beauty of life), Flower and Cream boasts inventive flavors like Unicorn Tracks, made from a cotton candy base with Lucky Charm marshmallows, and the elegant honey rose, which is a fragrant amalgam of rose water and Texas honey. Patrons rave about the establishment’s vegan offerings, a welcome indulgence for those with dietary restrictions and anyone craving a creamy, dairy- and egg-free scoop." - Brianna Griff

The 14 Best Ice Cream Shops In Houston

"Flower and Cream really loves the color pink. Not only is the inside of this modern ice cream shop in Bellaire mostly pink, you can also order bright pink waffle cones. It also serves 15 different ice cream flavors, including five vegan flavors that rotate in and out, like unicorn tracks with lucky charm marshmallows or vegan peanut butter cup. If you can’t decide between two flavors, Flower and Cream allows you to order half scoops, so you can try two ice cream flavors without having to get two full scoops. Ice Cream Shop Flower & Cream Starts Scooping Up Gorgeous Treats Today - Eater Houston

"Scoops of ice cream in flavors like cereal milk Oreo and honey roasted strawberry await at Flower & Cream, which is opening its doors this week. The very photogenic new ice cream shop located at 2617 W Holcombe Boulevard is currently in soft opening mode, with 11 flavors ready to go. Eventually that will expand to 16 flavors on rotation: for now, best-sellers include Baileys & Blondies made with the liquor and made-in-house blondies, along with a cotton candy-Lucky Charm cereal mashup called “Unicorn Tracks.” There’s one vegan ice cream available right now: toasted coconut. Vehicles for those decadent scoops include cones, cookie ice cream sandwiches, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. Flower & Cream bakes all its mix-ins and cookies from scratch too. Pints to go are also available. This week is leading up to Flower & Cream’s grand opening on Saturday, June 29. During those festivities, treats will be “pay what you want” with all proceeds going toward Ronald McDonald House Houston. That’s happening all day, or until the ice cream runs out. This is the beginning of a partnership the shop hopes to have with Ronald McDonald House Houston. Flower & Cream’s hours are Sunday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. The shop wrote on Instagram over the weekend: “It’s been a long process but we’re finally ready to open our doors!! Soft opening starts Monday 6/24 at noon,” adding that customers will get “25% off your purchase” during soft opening." - Adele Chapin

Randomly discovered this place through the Houston reddit when someone asked for best ice cream shops. It is amazing! Their flavors are so unique, both ice cream and cones. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the shop is really clean. Definitely worth stopping in whenever we are in Houston and they have multiple locations.

Finally I visited Flower & Cream. I’ve seen them for a very long time. They were so busy, I wished I could of taken better pictures. I was so surprised to see the so many Vegan options they have! The selections of cones is great ! I ordered a waffle cone, with chocolate brownie and honey roasted strawberries. Both flavors were delicious. Very high quality ice cream. I can’t wait to go back and try other flavors. I love the to go pints ! Definitely worth the visit! The display menu on the wall, the colors are so light that it gets a little confusing. I would put darker letters instead of white.

Very cute and aesthetically pleasing ice cream shop. They have many cool and unique flavors, and they sometimes introduce new flavors in their lineup. I tried the butter pecan and biscoff cookie butter, both were perfectly balanced. The sweetness was just right and not too overpowering, and the flavor profile was delicious. The interior is minimalist chic, and there is plenty of seating for the size of the space. Child friendly, wheelchair accessible, and they have free WiFi. Indoors can get a bit chilly, light jacket might benefit some. If unsure of what flavor to get, or if you’re not sure if you’ll like a certain flavor, they let you sample while choosing. Staff is helpful and friendly. Overall, good experience every time. Definitely recommend checking out this place!

DELICIOUS! We are here from out of state and landed here for ice cream. Definitely a great choice! They have such unique flavors and everyone I guaranteed to find something they like. There is also vegan and gluten free options available. Not to mention, the price is also great.

Many delicious options to choose from! The atmosphere and ambiance was really nice when you first show up as is in a very beautiful shopping center! My choosing of flavor was Brown Butter Pecan with a Pink Vanilla cone. the Butter Pecan was very sweet and included pieces of pecan within the ice cream. As you get closer to the Pink Vanilla cone, it gives it an extra layer sweetness! A combination if you ask me! Jenny presented me with great smiles and took my order as I walked up to the register. Thank you Jenny for your kind service! Overall experience was great and parking was easy to find!

We saw this cute little ice cream place and wanted to try it. Got here on a Sunday afternoon on a rainy day so we had the entire place to ourselves basically and we could take forever to make a decision. We got Tres Leches and a rainbow cake ice cream since we were interested in getting ice creams with cake chunks. Both flavours were outstanding and we loved it. The staff was very nice and attentive and helped us try some other flavours as well. It was super cute that they had little swings as well set up to sit on and enjoy your ice cream.

Dined in with my family and got a scoop of the chocolate brownie flavor. The scoop was very generous and delicious, with small bits of brownie in it. Very delicious. The seating and customer service were top-tier. Created a nice atmosphere for talking and enjoying our sweet treats. I especially loved the reusable sample scoops and wooden serving spoons. Such a sustainable eco-friendly option!
