Here's a secret. I really do love Flower Child. I know I shouldn't spend $40 on lunch, but they get me everytime!
I'll be honest, the offering and descriptions don't seem too enticing at first glance, BUT surprisingly many bridge that beautiful intersection between healthy and delicious. Although I was hesitant to get the glow bowl without a protein, it's a magical combination for the tastebud. Although I was hesitant to order anything that had a base of "spicy sweet potatoes noodles", they work!
I personally will pass on the cauliflower risotto next time, but the gluten-free Mac is...fine, and the roasted broccoli is worth purchasing.
- 1 star for price, flow, and encourage clientele behavior. This location can fill quickly, and when lines form for the cash wrap, there is little to no flow, and little direction from staff. On more than one occasion, I've had patrons cut in front of me, and witnessed it with others as well. This could be easily resolved with the slight "nudge" of floor markers, or line dividers in addition to the team acknowledgment..."I think that gentleman was first".
I know, I know..."people should just know how to line up, isn't it unfair to fault the business",. I hear ya, but when a restaurant experiences the same conjugation on a daily basis without an attempt at resolution, and the same type of clientele are affected by sed issue I feel it's atleast worth mentioning. For me (and possibly other patrons), it's a deterrent to revisit knowing I'm paying the same coin as other patrons, and yet I'm treated as if I'm less deserving of the same basic respect.
In short (after 6 paragraphs of text haha), they offer delicious meal options that allow patrons to create a filling, healthy lunch to be enjoyed in a relaxed, casual dining atmosphere, so long as you can make it past the chaos of the "lunch line".
