The Best Gluten-Free Restaurants in Houston, Texas | Eater Houston

"This restaurant has multiple locations around the country, for good reason — it’s considerate of almost every diet preference and sensitivity under the sun, including those who are gluten-intolerant. Flower Child serves dishes like a vegetarian green chile con queso with soy chorizo and corn chips, Italian turkey salami and Cobb salads, chicken enchiladas, and an assortment of sides including gluten-free macaroni and cheese, red chile-glazed sweet potatoes, and kung pow cauliflower. All of the desserts are also gluten-free, with gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, chocolate pudding, lemon olive oil cake, and a double chocolate almond brownie made with toasted cacao nib." - Brianna Griff

Flower Child Will Debut Veggie Packed Bowls Next Month | Eater Houston

"Opening September 12 in the revamped Uptown Park development, this health-focused eatery brings a sunny, shabby‑chic vibe to Houston with mismatched colorful furniture, hanging vine plants, and vibrant pop‑art murals featuring peace signs and flowers. The menu emphasizes veggie-packed salads and plates, avocado toast, gluten-free mac ’n’ cheese, and superfood-laden wraps and bowls; standouts carried over from the Dallas menu include a madras curry bowl with organic potatoes, heirloom carrots, green beans, sweet onion, cilantro, garam masala, and coconut, plus a forbidden rice bowl with bok choy, broccoli, carrot, onion, and toasted sesame. Beverages will include cold brew, teas, juices, kombucha, and local craft beer (specific brewery partners have not been announced). It will join other eateries in a freshly renovated shopping center that now offers wi‑fi, more public seating, and shaded walkways; hours of operation have not yet been released." - Alaena Hostetter

Flower Child Slated to Open This Summer in  Houston | Eater Houston

"A health-focused restaurant chain is opening its first Houston outpost this summer in Uptown Park; the concept is owned by the same company behind North Italia. Its arrival is part of an EDENS-led redevelopment of Uptown Park that will add Wi‑Fi and refresh outdoor areas with art, trellises and more places to hang out. Based on the Dallas menu, expect health-forward options like vegan marinated beet poke bowls, grass-fed steak wraps, kombucha on tap, and a small Texas beer selection (including a listed “skinny” beer)." - Adele Chapin

The cauliflower and vegetables arrived soggy and burnt - at the same time, somehow. The whole dish including the tofu was so oily and disgusting.. also it was not hot - lukewarm at best. 🤢🤮🤮 Some of the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts were beyond charred. Also had to spit out something that was very hard to chew. I’m not sure what it was but at this point I had to stop eating. Went up to the cashier and asked for a refund, telling him what happened .. he was nice enough and offered to remake it but I just couldn’t do it. I saw that he had to go get approval from what I’m guessing is a manager… she didn’t say anything or look over (or anything). Absorbed in something else. Bummer, because this used to be a place I loved…not coming back

Was in the area to garb dessert at Crave, but figured I should have some real food first which led me to try Flower Child for the first time. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical at first. The name and menu scream "super healthy" and let's be honest.... healthy doesn't always look (or taste) as good as the other stuff. 😅 But ☝🏾 I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the salmon entree with roasted broccoli and cauliflower risotto as my sides. Everything was cooked properly and packed with flavor and I especially loved the risotto. The meal left me satisfied but not weighted down which I appreciated. My husband ordered the yellow fin tuna poke bowl, and while it wasn't like any poke bowl he's had before he really enjoyed it. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Overall Flower Child impressed me. It's a place is definitely come back to again and again... even without dessert waiting on the other side 😄. Guilt free, flavorful, and filling in all the right ways.

Google
I will never not crave this spot! The weather was so nice outside and we sat outside and the vibes were so great! My usual go to is the Mother Earth bowl with salmon add on, so flavorful and delicious I can't believe it's healthy. My bf ventured to try the chicken enchiladas not knowing it was one of the popular items, and when I TELL YOU, the chicken was so juicy and seasoning was on point! He was shocked at how delicious it was, expecting it to be a bit of a fusion but it was surprisingly incredible. Definitely will be getting it again for sure. Staff was nice and sweet behind the counter and with bringing out our food to the patio!

Google
Flower Child is hands down one of my favorite restaurants! The service is always quick, even when it’s busy, and the staff keeps things moving without sacrificing friendliness. The food is consistently fresh, healthy, and perfectly balanced — you can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I love that there are so many options to fit different dietary needs without feeling like you’re missing out on flavor. Whether it’s a hearty bowl, a crisp salad, or a wrap, everything is made from scratch and served with care. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a delicious meal that’s both good for you and fast!

Google
Whenever I travel to Houston for work this place comes to mind as a top option for when I want to eat more healthy. Their menu is very diverse but you can rest easy knowing that everything is made with fresh and healthy foods. Last time I was there I got the salmon entree with broccoli and sweet potatoes as my sides. Everything was delicious. I would always recommend their lemon olive oil cake. It is to die for 💀. What I really like about flower child is their staff is super friendly and everyone seems to love working there. While the atmosphere seems to cater more to the yoga girls looking for a healthy bite, it’s easy to look past with the multitude of delicious food options, drinks, desserts, and the friendly staff. I definitely hope to be back for another meal soon!

Google
Flower Child is such a cozy and beautiful spot! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is incredibly kind and friendly. We tried the Chicken Enchilada Bowl and the Peruvian Braised Beef — both were delicious and felt very fresh and flavorful. The food was light and refreshing, though the portions felt a bit small. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a visit!

Google
A slightly upscale restaurant in uptown serving some different varieties of food with some different combinations like Kung pow cauliflower or other vegetarian items although they do have proteins like chicken, beef, pork, and salmon. They did have some other alternatives for those that have a vegetarian or vegan approach parking might be difficult so plan to Find a different parking spot maybe not directly in front of the restaurant as the parking lot shares with many retail stores around the area service was friendly you order at a cash register and then go to a table or booth for seating employees were smiling and friendly and helpful Food came out hot while prepared fresh and delicious. Not huge portions although I felt like it was inappropriate amount of food that I should be eating. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

Google
I’ve been to flower child twice and both times were exceptional. If I could describe the food in two words it would be Clean & flavorful. Last time I went I got the steak, broccoli and yellow potatoes! Highly recommend!

Yelp
The outside of the restaurant is absolutely darling, the cottagecore vibes were VIBIN'! I wish I'd taken photos. I had the Mother Bowl with the ancient herbs, leafy greens, quinoa and sweet potatoes--it was delicious. I also recommend trying the lemonade options, with the lava like temperatures outside, the lemonades were really refreshing and crisp. The cashiers and servers were great, diligent without being smothering. I WILL be back.

Yelp
Gets pretty busy during lunch but can do pickup if in a time crunch. Otherwise great service, fast food prep time, and helpful staff. I'd recommend the Mother Earth bowl with tofu The salmon is also pretty good Also, they have rotating flavors of Kambucha on tap. Great plant based restaurant for Lent on Fridays or other dietary reasons.

Yelp
The Hubs' barber recommended this place, and it's a winner! Very nice, well decorated atmosphere and busy on a Sunday. The food is cooked to order. I ordered the turkey and avocado Cobb salad sub chicken for turkey. The Hubs wanted to share queso and chips and he ordered the chicken enchiladas. We were very satisfied with our meals. Colorful plates and refreshing meals.

Yelp
Dined in for Mother's Day and I will say I was extremely satisfied with the service. I've dined at Flower Child for a five years now and this was my first time back at this location after two years. I will say this is location has by far the best customer service, including the Austin location as well! The food came out in a timely manner, and was fresh and delectable. Great choice of food and vegan options as well! Ambiance was relaxing and not too overbearing. I paired by medium steak bowl with gluten free mac and cheese (my absolute FAVORITE!) and roasted sweet potatoes. Also, I had the rose petals lemonade and it paired perfectly with all the food. My other family members ordered the seasonal Peruvian Chicken Bowl and they said it was amazing, as well!

Yelp
I was here 3 times in one week... zero judgment thanks. I fell in love with flower child!! I am recently sugar free and it's so hard to be able to eat out so I appreciate the staff helping me figure out what's in all their food to accommodate my dietary restrictions! And because they use Whole Foods and that makes it super easy as well. Everything I've had is delicious my son is picky about his Mac and cheese and he said 10/10! They really pack in flavor on small bites. The Queso is one of my favorites in Houston!! The chicken kabob has this spicy harissa that's tangy and spicy and salty. The chicken enchiladas have this crema to balance out the chile peppers. Can't go wrong!! It's gets pretty full I think all day lol but they are quick and plenty of seating!! Oh and bring back the mushroom bolognese!!!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a number of times but what poses a challenge for me here and many places in Houston actually is the random appearance of spicy sauce. My dish pictured below was a kebab. I don't know why there was a red sauce and maybe I missed it in the description, but it was spicy and flavorful. This means that I ate it up but I should not have done that. Sadly I have to do my best to avoid spice so be advised when ordering to ask about spice if you're sensitive to spice as I am.

Yelp
Love this place. I first tried a Flower Child in Austin and realized that they did a fantastic job accommodating my food sensitivities. I was thrilled to have on in Houston as well. I took my family here last weekend around dinner time. I ordered the Turkey Avocado Cobb Salad. I requested that they remove the onions and Gorgonzola vinaigrette due to food allergies and sensitivities. I substituted the Gorgonzola vinaigrette with the lemon avocado dressing. It was delicious! When my order first came out, I hesitated because it looks like they may have missed my request, but the servers promptly created another salad removing my allergens. My family members ordered The Rebel and customized entrees (protein and 2 sides). Everyone enjoyed their meals and would definitely love to come back. The tea/lemonade station is great - love their options. I enjoyed the passion fruit tea. Service was great! When I placed my order at the counter, the staff was so helpful in walking me through my options. Every staff was helpful and courteous. They have both indoor and patio seating. They have a station where you can grab your own utensils. You order at the counter and it's self seating. They are offering a gift card special where you can purchase a $50 gift card and get a $10 reward. It's only the month of December 2023. I love this place so much, I definitely bought some.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in the world I have been here so many times, the food tastes healthy and fresh! Their beverages are really good. Some of the best mac and cheese!

Yelp
Embarking on a culinary journey at Flower Child in uptown Houston was a delightful experience. My initial encounter was through a to-go order, yet the flavors were nothing short of a gastronomic adventure. The Salmon and Broccoli with Parmesan was a crispy revelation, and the gluten-free mac & cheese proved to be a decadent delight. What stood out was the balance - the food was rich in taste yet remarkably light, providing a satisfying, not miserably stuffed, feeling. The gluten-free lemon love oil cake was a sweet conclusion, complementing the earthy and wholesome vibe of Flower Child. The inclusion of a side of pita bread added a lovely touch. As I savor the memory of the meal, I eagerly anticipate returning for the in-person experience, eager to delve into the ambience and service that undoubtedly contribute to the overall charm of Flower Child. This is a place that resonates with a welcoming, earthy aura, making it a go-to spot for those seeking both flavor and a refreshing dining atmosphere.

Yelp
I ordered to go so I can't say much about the service but the inside of the restaurant was very nice and clean, had a lot of sunlight. The bowl I ordered was super tasty. A great blend of ingredients that I never would have put together myself. It was a bit pricey for the portion, so I wouldn't make it my everyday lunch spot, but I really did enjoy the bowl! I also got a chocolate chip cashew cookie and it was delicious! Crispy yet soft at the same time. I prefer harder/crunchy cookies so this was a change but a GOOD change.
google avatar

Deepika N.

Yelp
This was my first time at this Flower Child location and I had a great experience! Tried the avocado hummus, ginger miso crunch, mother earth bowl, and thai dye wrap with tofu. The food was so fresh and delish! Every item was well made. I loved the mother earth bowl and the thai dye wrap. I would honestly recommend everything I tried. I loved that almost everything on their menu can be made vegetarian with tofu instead of meat. Great place to go for my fellow vegetarian friends! Service was great, ambiance was lovely. also tried the rose lemonade that wasn't really giving rose. The blueberry kombucha was so good! Will be back to try more of their menu. Also fyi parking can be tough to find in the complex.

Yelp
Located in Uptown Park, we went here because another restaurant had too long of a wait. We had gone when it first opened and decided to give it another try. Order at the counter and then food is brought to you. The protein and two sides was just ok. Meals are like Lubys just pricier and bland. We got two sangrias which probably was very pricey. So two protein and two sides plus two sangrias was $70. I think if you are hungry and needing food, then come here, but I don't think we will return. Flower Child you are one Bland Kid!
google avatar

Yelp
Maybe the freshest salad I ever tasted! Every bite was a new combination of super delicious ginger dressing coating an array of yellow, green, red, and orange vegetables...I was sad when I reached the bottom of the bowl. Honestly, you'll feel healthier when you leave this satisfying place! Two thumbs up.
google avatar

Alena B.

Yelp
One of my favorite places & I'm not just saying that because I used to work here heheh. A lovely take on fast food, without all the garbage chemicals and processed foods. Even when it's busy and the line is out the door, it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to get your food. Takeout might be a different story but if you order through the app, it'll cut your wait time while you're headed there. Lots of salads, wraps, soups, and plate options to choose from. Friendly staff. The cooks are the absolute best and most kind people I know. Highly recommend bringing the kids(the have kids meal options, the whole family, come for a business meeting, workspace, just come! There's indoor and outdoor seating as well and they can accommodate large parties.

Yelp
If you enjoy healthy delicious (and affordable) food in a casual bright environment, this is the place for you. Friendly helpful staff and dishes that feed your soul.
google avatar

Francheska P.

Yelp
I love this place I've never been disappointed by anything I've been served whenever I dying at flower, Child, I usually opt for their entrées where you pick a protein and get two sides. To be honest I've only tried their steak and mashed potatoes and their mac & cheese, as well as their roasted broccoli I want to say the roast of broccoli is probably some of the best broccoli I've ever ate that was not prepared by myself, I did try their seasonal item. I believe it was a pot roast but it wasn't at this location. It was at the N. Shepherd Dr. location and I was not truly a fan of that so I probably will just stick to my entrées but the food is just really clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful and very patient
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
Vegetarian/vegan friendly, this place is more of a self-served service. You can order at the counter and sit anywhere you like. Cute ambience and plenty of tables to sit. Parking was also easy because it's located in a spacious plaza. I got the plate option. You can pick your entree and two sides. I opted for the steak (medium rare) with brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes. Very nicely seasoned on the veggies. The steak was a good texture for medium rare. They have a wide variety of sauces. Would recommend to use it with the steak to give it a spicy kick.

Yelp
I went to Houston last weekend and after a long day of work all I wanted was something refreshing and healthy. I found this place near my hotel and it was cute and trendy inside with lots of food options. The cashier was helpful on recommendations and I tried their kale salad, grilled chicken and sweet potatoes fries and everything was delicious! Great place if you're on a vacation and trying to find a quick bite that's healthy & clean.
google avatar

Huyen C.

Yelp
Definitely such a cute place! Decorated nicely, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Staff is kind & efficient. There are plenty of parking spaces in the area and really nice restaurants all around. I find this place to be affordable and provides tons of healthy options. I ordered the feta greek yogurt dip & it was actually very good. I really enjoyed it with the chips. Definitely recommend you trying.
google avatar

Mel S.

Yelp
Very cute boutique dish Cafe in the heart of uptown shopping center. The ordering style is at the counter and they give you a number to get your food. They have a variety of salads that can include proteins. They also have lots of sides that are delicious mac and cheese brussel sprouts zucchini and kale salad those of which I tried very delicious the macaroni and cheese is very creamy and has a very strong cheese flavor. If you're looking to go for lunch they open at 11:00 I would definitely suggest getting there by then because by 11:30 the place is packed not a table in the house it stays packed well past 12:30 probably into the 1:30 2:00 time frame. It's a very popular place because the food is healthy and delicious give it a try

Yelp
Chopped vegetable salad - add chicken. One of my fav lunches. Always good fast service. Inside is clean and always busy. They are doing it right here.

Yelp
Kindhearted and attentive staff, Damian took my order and never missed a beat, greeted everyone with so much love. They have something for everyone and the portions are very generous. Hands down the best Flower Child location that I have been to.
google avatar

Melodi D.

Yelp
So impressed with Flower Child! The food was super yummy, the portions were good, and the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to other health- and environment-conscious restaurants. My meal and drink altogether were about $22. I ordered the Chicken Entrée, with the Yuzu Brussel Sprouts and the Sweet Corn and Quinoa. Every aspect of this dish was delicious and filling. A friend of mine also ordered the Gluten-Free Mac and Cheese. She said it was great, and that it tasted just as good as glutinous mac and cheese. The ambiance of the place was also really nice! Very green and pretty, but not overwhelming. Plenty of seating, bright interior. Lastly, the service was very quick! You go up to the counter to order and they bring the food to your table within 10 minutes or so. Highly recommend this place for any occasion, whether for leisure or business. EDIT: My friends and I actually ended up feeling sick soon after eating the chicken breast here. Not sure if this is a common occurrence, but it definitely did detract from the experience. I would just be careful of the chicken breast in the future!
google avatar

Daisy A.

Yelp
Came with a friend for some early light dinner and we were both pretty satisfied. Right off the bat, this place always seems to be busy but people come and go for sure. I had the grilled chicken thigh yaki noodles which was pretty good. Wish it had more chicken and spice tho. I loved their rose lemonade too! Definitely on the higher end of pricing for the portion they give but still good. All the staff were super nice and friendly. This place is great for vegan and vegetarian options for sure. Pretty nice place overall and would come again to try more.
google avatar

Elizabeth Y.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Flower Child. I've never had a bad experience here. I am a creature of habit, so I have only ever ordered the avocado Caesar salad, but my companions have had various other items and they've always been excellent as well. For lunch, this is a great place to get a quick bite or meet up with friends and chat while you eat. Their take out is also great and doens't different at all from the in-house dining in quality. It's counter service, but we've still had great experiences and the staff who bring out the food are great about helping with anything else you might need. Even when it's busy, I haven't had a problem getting a seat. The fresh, quality of ingredients gives you a meal that both tickles the taste buds and leaves you feeling like you did something good for yourself. I'll definitely be back (again and again)!
google avatar

Shirin L.

Yelp
Though this place gives good and clean vibes, that wasn't the case when we visited them last. They had the worst customer service ever! We found hair in our food and even though they said they would refund us for that meal, they still haven't and it's been over a month. I even spoke to the manager there who said he would take care of it but they haven't done anything about it. After finding a strand of hair in their Mother Earth bowl, none of my friends could enjoy their food or even think about coming here again.
google avatar

Trina H.

Yelp
The chicken was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were excellent. The brussel sprouts were good, but they were on the cold side. My daughter had the tofu yakisoba noodles and said they were excellent.
google avatar

Kenisha R.

Yelp
First time at this location and let me tell you that I will definitely be back. The atmosphere was great and I was greeted by Damien who was so so nice and knew what he was talking about when it came to what to order. He recommended some items on the menu, including his personal favorite as well as favorites of the staff which showed me he pays attention and cares!! Great place to enjoy some delicious food! I ended up getting the salmon with the sweet corn and Brussels sprouts. It was so good! Had a black cherry sangria (Damien recommended) and finished with a delicious, soft & chewy chocolate chip cashew cookie.
google avatar

Karina M.

Yelp
I was a first-timer to Flower Child and will definitely be back!!!! The food is delicious and the vibe is really cool. You'll see a range of people here from first dates, to housewives brunching or people eating solo. There is a bin for yoga mat holds which I thought was really cool. The staff is really friendly and open to any questions. Totally unpretentious and a great spot for lunch.
google avatar

Alyssa H.

Yelp
The best thing about this place is that it is food that is both good and good for you. You can tell that the people that work here really care about serving good, high quality food that leaves you feeling satisfied no matter what you choose to order. I absolutely loved this place!
google avatar

O K.

Yelp
My go to place every time I don't feel like cooking but don't want to make it a "cheat meal". The food is always great (especially the gf mac&cheese). The service is quick and affectionate. The vibe is a very boho shik style, nicely designed. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Yelp
Portions have drastically decreased at this restaurant... I ordered the mother earth bowl and only had 2 pieces of sweet potato in the bowl. I remember eating this specific item a few years ago and having more volume in the meal. They used to add more avocado and sweet potato. Today, all I had was a measly 1 sliver of avocado and 2 chunks of sweet potato. How does anyone get full from that? Especially when it's a vegan meal to begin with... What happened flower child? This restaurant was absurdly busy today, I'm assuming they're cutting corners and just not providing great meals as they used to. Everyone else enjoyed their food today; but they all agreed that it was just an 'okay' experience. Flower child should consider opening up more locations. Maybe that could help.. I don't know. All I can say is that meals should be provided with ample substance and not appear lackluster. Overpriced and it's mostly a self-serving restaurant. Fetch your own drinks and cutlery. Totally left feeling hungry.
google avatar

Germanie J.

Yelp
Ordered through doordash. I never heard of this food establishment but was looking for something on the lighter/healthier side and this was suggested. I ordered chicken, broccoli, and Mac n cheese. Broccoli was fresh and cooked perfectly. The flavor was subtle but very good. Chicken was moist and flavorful. Mac n cheese had a good flavor but yet was a little gritty. Overall really good!

Yelp
Here's a secret. I really do love Flower Child. I know I shouldn't spend $40 on lunch, but they get me everytime! I'll be honest, the offering and descriptions don't seem too enticing at first glance, BUT surprisingly many bridge that beautiful intersection between healthy and delicious. Although I was hesitant to get the glow bowl without a protein, it's a magical combination for the tastebud. Although I was hesitant to order anything that had a base of "spicy sweet potatoes noodles", they work! I personally will pass on the cauliflower risotto next time, but the gluten-free Mac is...fine, and the roasted broccoli is worth purchasing. - 1 star for price, flow, and encourage clientele behavior. This location can fill quickly, and when lines form for the cash wrap, there is little to no flow, and little direction from staff. On more than one occasion, I've had patrons cut in front of me, and witnessed it with others as well. This could be easily resolved with the slight "nudge" of floor markers, or line dividers in addition to the team acknowledgment..."I think that gentleman was first". I know, I know..."people should just know how to line up, isn't it unfair to fault the business",. I hear ya, but when a restaurant experiences the same conjugation on a daily basis without an attempt at resolution, and the same type of clientele are affected by sed issue I feel it's atleast worth mentioning. For me (and possibly other patrons), it's a deterrent to revisit knowing I'm paying the same coin as other patrons, and yet I'm treated as if I'm less deserving of the same basic respect. In short (after 6 paragraphs of text haha), they offer delicious meal options that allow patrons to create a filling, healthy lunch to be enjoyed in a relaxed, casual dining atmosphere, so long as you can make it past the chaos of the "lunch line".

Yelp
The kabob bowl is an absolute favorite. So many wonderful flavors and textures. I drive 50 m8nutes to cone to the Flower Child. I wish they had one of these in Norteast Houston.

Yelp
I've been coming here years!!! I love their food!! It's always so delicious and guilt free. Everything is very healthy yet so flavorful and good. My go to is the forbidden rice bowl! I always get this plate and switch my protein for their the salmon or chicken. they have lot of different bowls which we more filling. Many salads and wraps. Many appetizers and starters. A lot of drink options including bottled drinks, fountain drinks and their own beverages they make. They have great, friendly and fast service. The ambiance and interior is always so beautiful. Lot of art, plants, decor and green accents. This location is in a great center of uptown with lots of stores and restaurants near by. Highly recommend

Yelp
The food was spectacular. It's not a typical thing to eat on one's birthday, but because of my diet, it's perfect. I ordered the mother earth with my protein being tofu, and I had the avocado hummus--amiable staff and service, and also an immaculate establishment.

Yelp
Cool modern / floral atmosphere along with great service, quick orders, and tasty meals! Flower Child delivers again! This time, I tried the uptown location - and it's just as consistent! Gluten free Chocolate Chip Cookie | 6.4/10 Decent - but quite a bit dry & not enough chocolate chunks. The Rebel Wrap | 8.4/10 Delicious! It felt like it was missing a little something, but let me tell you - the radish yogurt (?) really complimented the steak / fillings. Smooth move, chef!

Yelp
It was my first time coming about 3-4 days ago, service and food was amazing. My server was great she did a good job. While I was there I noticed really weird behavior from the manager, especially with my server in a physical matter, she seemed pretty uncomfortable..however it isn't my place. I really do recommend a more professional attitude especially when customers can see, it even made me uncomfortable. Other than that food was good, and the service was fast.

Yelp
This place is the most adorable place ever. Gives me a European price in the middle of the Galleria area. I placed my order online because you can get a $10 off $20 if you create a new account online. My order was done very quick! Mother Earth Bowl: $~10.50 This was so good. The mushroom add a delicious umami flavor to the bowl. Everything goes well with all the other ingredients in the bowl. The portion size might not be enough for a dinner, so I suggest this place for a lunch. Bird is the Word Wrap: $~12 The wrap is nice and warm when I got it. The roasted peppers add a kick to the taste. Most of the flavor came from these peppers. Taco salad: Our friend ordered this but it looked very good. Sadly this salad's last day of offering is 5/31/22 :( We also got a rose petal lemonade. It was refreshing, refillable, and $3.50 a cup. Although I didn't taste the rose petals, the pink color sure was cute. All in all, I would come back here for lunch. Except to spend $15 per person, and more if you're wanting to add chicken, salmon, other protein. This is a cute place for a first date too ;)

Yelp
This is I and my son's number #1 spot to pick up something quick to eat, because of his special diet. Flower Child's food has never failed us. Their unprocessed whole foods are always fresh, delicious, and well seasoned. The customer service has always been great and all the staff we've ever come in contact with, at the restaurant, have always been friendly. I love that the restaurant is family oriented and kid friendly. If you're looking for a place to get delicious, healthy, unprocessed foods, Flower Child should be your top choice for restaurants in the uptown Park area.

Yelp
Yummm! My friend always raves about this place so we came to check it out and it was worth the hype. It's a cute counter service place with an adorable interior, wide open plenty of seating indoors and out. The main draw was the huge amount of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. We got the gluten free Mac and cheese, squash, the vegan pudding, glow bowl and the Mother Earth bowl, with tofu and salmon respectively.Everything was absolutely amazing! You could not tell that things were gluten free and vegan, the mac and cheese and pudding were both super rich and flavorful. The entrees were soo good too, so healthy and balanced but still delicious. The tofu on mine was awesome, I usually prefer crunchy fried tofu and theirs was soft but the texture was so good and they seasoned it perfectly. I did have the kombucha too and that was the only miss of the meal, it was kind of weak and bland but still drinkable. This is the perfect place for a light healthy meal that won't leave you feeling queasy or overly full. The service at the counter was really good too!

Yelp
This is the second time I've been to flower child but my first time being a patron at this location. I completed my order online and went to pick it up because I needed to quickly return home and had no time to dine in. I ordered the salmon, Brussels sprouts, and the sweet potato, which I ordered the last time I went to Flower Child in Austin. The food was just as good as I remembered and was still slightly warm. I do wish I had received a larger piece of salmon. I felt kind of cheated once I opened the container. The pickup experience was less than desired. The parking lot is a bit chaotic which has nothing to do with the restaurant but it's something to consider. The roads seem very narrow and it's hard to see who's coming around the corner. Once I was able to park in the to-go parking I walked in to see a small crowd at the counter where you order. I thought to myself "gosh do I really have to wait in this line" but I noticed a pickup area on the side for to-go orders. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes to be acknowledged when someone came behind me and I saw a wall where all to-go order were placed for you to grab and go. This was clearly stated in the confirmation email so it was my fault for not reading thoroughly. All in all, I enjoy flower child and would recommend it. The parking lot is just always full of terrible drivers lol.

Yelp
I found a new spot and I'm so excited. I visited this spot because of a friend's recommendation. I'm vegetarian so this place has so many options! I decided on the Glow Bowl and added Tofu and the Mother Earth Bowl. I visited around 4 pm so it wasn't packed at all. Service was amazing and the staff were super friendly. I'm definitely going back! Lots of options for meat eaters as well and protein can be added to any wrap, bowl, entree or salad. The proteins are shrimp, salmon, steak or tofu. Nice, clean, healthy food with natural ingredients!

Yelp
The high yelp reviews convinced me to try this place. I stopped here for lunch and ordered a cobb salad with salmon. The salmon was fine and the salad was just okay, although, there was quite a few browned pieces of lettuce in mine. I paid roughly about $20 for the salad, salmon, and a drink so I guess the prices are fair. Unfortunately, the yelp reviews let me down. This place is definitely nothing to brag about and I should have just stuck to my usual cobb salad at chick fil a lol. Oh I forgot to mention the interior. The interior is super cute, aesthetically pleasing, and has nice outdoor seating. The decorative aspect of the restaurant is a lot better than the food. It was worth a shot I guess...not really though

Yelp
I was disappointed with the food at flower child. I was excited when I saw that they had gluten-free macaroni and cheese, but it was under seasoned and lacked flavor. I had no problems with the noodles themselves, as I generally eat gluten-free pasta. But overall it was a disappointing side dish. I ordered steak, which was pretty good. It came pre-sliced and was a perfect medium. I also ordered the broccoli on the side, which was too bitter for my taste. I love roasted broccoli but I'm not sure if this had too much lemon or was over roasted but it wasn't my favorite. It also could've used salt. The highlight of my meal was the little olive oil corn muffin. It was a very nice surprise after a pretty lackluster lunch. I also enjoyed the rose lemonade. Not too sweet! I really liked the interior. Modern and upscale for a café, but also very comfortable.

Yelp
A place you want to add to your lunch list for sure. Nice light and will keep you able to work the rest of the day. I will say though the price is a little high which I get the ingredients are more expensive but it's around 20 dollars per person.
