5 Houston Restaurant Openings Diners Need to Know Right Now | Eater Houston

"I visited the long-awaited Heights location of Flower Child, which opened on August 4 at 1533 North Shepherd Drive; the healthy restaurant—beloved by the yoga crowd—offers items like avocado toasts, heirloom tomato salads and gluten-free mac and cheese, and this spot joins locations in Uptown Park and The Woodlands. All locations offer food to-go." - Brittanie Shey

Flower Child’s Wildly Popular Healthy Eats Will Soon Land in the Heights | Eater Houston

"Bringing a third Space City location to The Heights, Flower Child will open at 1533 N. Shepherd Drive in a 3,500-square-foot space inside the Market at Houston Heights; the Heights site is being designed by Michael Hsu and will feature a large wrap-around covered terrace and the chain’s garden-chic interiors with green accents and bright mural art. The Phoenix-based chain from the same restaurant group behind North Italia and Blanco Tacos & Tequila offers a health-conscious, veggie-packed menu — think avocado or tomato toast, whole wheat or gluten-free wraps, salads with organic kale and greens, quinoa, Brussels sprouts, and chia seed dressing, plus plates or bowls of healthy grains and veggies that can be topped with proteins such as grass-fed steak, sustainable salmon, organic tofu, or “all-natural” chicken. Stay tuned for the official opening date." - Alaena Hostetter

Google
Met up with some friends for dinner and had a great meal! I was delighted and suprised to see the great options they had for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free foods. They really do have lots of options for a variety of lifestyles and dietary needs. The space is very cute, the decor is bright yet cozy with lots of open space. They would be great for just a party of 2 or a large party. The staff is friendly and made some great recommendations. I really enjoyed the spiced apple and berry sangria and my salmon with gluten free mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. As someone who recently had to go gluten free I would have never know the pasta was different. Highly would recommend coming here for a good meal and fun atmosphere.

Google
Tried a new spot today and ordered two very different dishes both surprisingly good in their own way. Herb Bowl (first dish) This bowl comes loaded with fresh herbs — mint, dill, parsley — so if you love bright, punchy flavors, this one hits. Underneath the herbs, there’s roasted veggies, tomatoes, onions, and a creamy drizzle that pulls everything together. It tastes super fresh and almost Mediterranean-inspired. Definitely on the lighter/cleaner side, but still flavorful. Stir-Fry Noodles with Chicken (second dish) This was the comforting dish of the meal. Chewy noodles, sautéed veggies, tender chicken, and lots of textures from the mushrooms, peppers, and cashews. It has that slightly sweet, savory, sticky sauce that makes it feel like a warm, cozy noodle bowl. Really satisfying and balanced. Both dishes were great in completely different ways one super fresh and herbaceous, the other hearty and flavorful. Perfect if you’re dining with someone who wants something “clean” and someone who wants something “comfort food.” Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh.

Google
This Flower Child restaurant is definitely a fantastic place to eat and enjoy, specially if you are into natural and healthy eating. All dishes are made-from-scratch, catering to all lifestyles like vegetarian and vegan, meat-eating and gluten-free, as well as keto and paleo. To point out at a given dish, be it a salad, a bowl, a wrap, or any of the variety of mix-and-match veggies, grains, fruits and healthy proteins would be superfluous as ALL dishes are very well prepared and delicious. Of the several Flower Child restaurants I have visited this was for me one of the best ones. Great atmosphere and great service. I’m certainly looking forward to returning to explore the menu further!

Google
All animals deserve freedom, love, respect and protection, not separation, suffering, and death. Vegan is the only ethical choice. 🌱 I had the tofu with asparagus salad, and Avocado dressing. I also had sweet potato fries. For dessert I had vegan chocolate pudding. They were all so delicious!😊

Google
One of my favorite places for a tasty n healthy meal. I've never had a bad experience here. The food tastes freshly cooked every time. My go to is the Salmon entree w/2 sides. The quinoa n corn is my fav....I tried one of the new seasonal sides, brussel sprouts with cabbage...didn't disappoint! Although, I prefer my sprouts to have a little more char..still tasty. Indoor/outdoor seating. Nice atmosphere in general. The staff is very cordial.

Google
I will be eating here again. It was so good. The flavors of everything was so delicious! We each ordered something different and each tried some of each. SO GOOD. And the best part is that it is all good clean ingredients!

Josh R.

Google
First timer here the Queso appetizer was delicious! I got the slow roasted beef with mash potatoes and carrots and it was great! Date got a chicken salad and said she enjoyed it. We ended it with chocolate pudding with nuts and a pumpkin cupcake 🧁. I’d recommend you check them out if you’re in the area and want a healthier choice in foods.

Google
I’ve really wanted to like Flower Child a lot. Everybody says it’s so great and I’ve gone a couple times. But each time I go I’ve been really disappointed. Small portions, very bland. Recently got us to go salad and the apples and it were brown and mushy, it had the size of an appetizer, not a salad, and the brussels sprouts taste a little rancid. I paid an extra six dollars for chicken to be added and they gave me three small slices??? Yikes?!? It’s really not worth all the hype !

Yelp
Vibe- This is such a cute restaurant with plenty of seating outside and inside. it's very open and bright inside and that instantly put me in a positive mood! :) Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got a black cherry sangria and the mushroom bolognese (vegan) to eat; sooooo good!! Parking- There's plenty of spots in the lot the restaurant sits in
google avatar

Dina S.

Yelp
Service is great! The cashier is very sweet. I got the cauliflower risotto on impulse and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best things I've had. I really enjoyed the space inside. Very cozy.
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
I heard the cashier recommend the Mother Earth bowl to someone so I tried it. Holy hell that was so delicious. I wasn't even wanting all those random microgreens but you know?? I ate every last bite. Also maybe take some Beano before eating this because it's been fart city all night. Worth it. Feeling clean and fresh.

Katie M.

Yelp
The salad was magnificent! I loved the inclusion of nuts and corn along with the fresh avocado! The rose lemonade was an extra surprise.

Yelp
Great 4.5 star "clean food" restaurant. If I could always eat this way, I might live to be 100. Organic "veggie forward" food, in a California beach type atmosphere. The service is quick, the food is interestingly complex, light, and full of flavor. Absolutely the place to go if you want a flavorful meal that won't weigh you down. My only complaint is that the lemon cake is only a cupcake, and not a giant slice as I had hoped. Put this on your list of post workout meals.

Ma G.

Yelp
The food is guilt free, seasoned well and so flavorful. I got the chicken Caesar salad which was simple but amazing! The bowls and veggie sides are also good.
google avatar

Libby H.

Yelp
Very yummy and you feel good after eating! Flower child has a lot of options and honestly the sides are the star of the show! We also got the chicken but was not super impressed (just simple and plain chicken). We loved the Mac and cheese, cauliflower risotto, ranch with the sweet potato fries, and corn side dishes. We also got a chocolate chip cookie to share and it was great chocolate with a nice chewy texture. Quick service and nice ambiance inside! Yummy food that makes you feel good!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the mediterranean chicken bowl. Great Service and uplifting atmosphere. I've been to one in Austin and this one in Houston.
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
Delicious! I loved my Brussels Sprouts & Organic Kale Salad (with salmon). Super healthy and tasty. Just what I was looking for. My fiancé also really enjoyed his Mediterranean Chicken Kabob Bowl. I tried some and it was yummy. Also, we both loved their gluten-free mac & cheese. Overall, a great experience. Can't wait to order again!

Yelp
I've always been a fan of flower child, thus I felt the need to write a review complimenting and sharing with other people just how lovely this place is. The first thing that really caught my eye about flower child was its dedication toward cooking with the highest quality and freshest ingredients. It kinda reminds me of home cooking since I know where all the ingredients came from and that everything in my dish is simply the best. Not only do all the dishes lean toward the heath but audience but every dish is so delicious and has so much flavor. There is a huge misconception that "healthy" food tastes bad, however if it is done right it is delicious. It took me 20 minutes to decide what I wanted since everything made my mouth water...I'm not exaggerating. The waiters and manager were also super sweet and welcoming. Service was extremely fast, and the place was clean. I like how there was a place to wash your hands by the drinks. The prices are a bit high but it makes sense for the ingredients that they use. Overall, if you're in or already in Houston please give this place a try. Whether you prefer a plate of chicken with macaroni or a salad with lots of veggies they have both, making it a great place to go with anyone.

Yelp
We had a wonderful first visit to Flower Child! Plenty of parking outside and seating inside. We had the mushroom bolognese, Italian chopped salad, flying avocado wrap, and gluten free Mac & cheese. All delicious! Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in Shepard, Flower Child definitely has the "Flower Child" feel when you walk through the doors. The decor was very nice & fresh. It felt super relaxing in there and I was greeted by a very nice hello by a lady (I forgot her name) as walked through the doors waiting for my pickup order. The lady put me in the que, it seemed like the order was made to order which I liked. I ordered the flying Avocado wrap. It has smoked turkey, Gouda, fresh tomatoes, romaine lettuce, and oregano vinaigrette. All of the ingredients were fresh! The tall gentleman with long hair (I forgot his name) was very kind and made sure I had all my items with my order with my order. It was super refreshing to have great quality customer service and of course great food!

Yelp
At Flower Child, every last bite is made from scratch, using fresh ingredients from close to home. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, paleo, or just hungry, this is the place for you. For all my friends who want a summer bod, but still want delicious food, again this is the place for you! I came here with an acquaintance, and I will say if you're not familiar with the area, it may get a bit confusing due to the ongoing construction. If you are reading this review around 05/27/23, I would suggest for you to enter the lot from Durham St into 16th St. This location is very spacious with very friendly staff. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Kabob: summer squash, portobello mushroom, bell pepper, harissa yogurt, quinoa rice, greek salad It's smoky, tangy, and quite refreshing all at the same time. It's a new bowl and definitely a must have, especially if you have tried basically everything on their menu.
google avatar

Kara W.

Yelp
We stopped into this place for lunch and we are so glad we did! The food was superb! It was very fresh and super tasty. We ordered a green chili queso to start that was perfect! Then I had the flying avocado wrap, that had the best flavor and was very filling. My husband had the rebel wrap and said it was amazing! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Tristan F.

Yelp
Although I was skepitcal at first given the prices, I really enjoyed eating at Wild Flower. The food just felt clean, and I felt good after eating which is something I don't get a lot now and days. The Avocado Hummus was something new for me that I would really recommend. And although I've never been a glutton-free type of guy, the Glutton Free Macaroni was awesome. If you are looking for something a little healthier but not your average meal, definitely stop in.
google avatar

Jazmin M.

Yelp
Location: heights/shepherd Staff: very nice and friendly Price: average Parking: terrible, construction going on for which parking is very limited. However they do have valet parking by tips only. Food: I went for the earth bowl with chicken and it was delish, di not feel heavy and had lots of flavor. As you walk in you can enjoy all the cute and clean decor. Lots of spring colors like green and yellow. The place has lots of inspirational quotes all @. Will definitely be coming back

Yelp
order was ready nearly 15 minutes after the promised time. is expensive for the portion size. other than that salad was ok. cashier was nice.
google avatar

Pamela Z.

Yelp
Had this for dinner as takeout. It was good and healthy but overall the portions were kind of small for the price of food. It was my first time ordering so next time we will probably just need to order more dishes. Willing to try again.

Yelp
Fresh, filling, fast casual food! Coming from out of town this is my first experience with Flower Child. This felt less like fast food, and more like a very casual sit down restaurant. Ordered the soup of the day - Moroccan Sweet Potato - and the Mother Earth Bowl with added shrimp. Total came to $25.66. I actually didn't finish my meal! The soup was tasty, and I got much more than I expected. Small chunks of sweet potato, chickpeas and stewed tomatoes mixed throughout. The Mother Earth bowl had fresh ingredients including arugula, the perfect avocado, sautéed mushrooms, fresh cucumbers. The shrimp were an adequate size though for $6.25 I wish I had two more. As someone who does eat meat, wish there was more protein. Sat in rather than taking to go and the service was good.

Yelp
Thank you to the road construction that stopped my car right in front of this establishment. After rerouting around the construction to come back down the one way street I walked into the most charming and darling dining area( not meaning girly) but I immediately knew I would not be getting this Togo. Living more on the plant base side of the menu these days it's always a struggle to find many options outside of my own kitchen. The menus layout lets you know what's gluten free and what's vegan. There's also the option to add or subtract from a dish. Customer service was definitely something that appeared to be important to the owners / mangers. Everyone I enter acted with has a very good disposition and I could see that all have teeth - from smiling. I ordered a Glow bowl ( noodles, sweet potatoes and other veggies) it comes with Jalapeños ( which I can't eat/ my lips would swell like a bad Botox job). Inadvertently there were some in my bowl. I noticed before I ate too much. They cheerfully remade it and brought it out with a side of complimentary avocado ( avocado and sweet potatoes go great together). The bowl was absolutely delicious. Would love slightly smaller pieces of veggies, and a little more noodles ( please keep in mind my food lifestyle has me with a higher metabolism- which appears as if I'm greedy/ and I am) I can officially add Flower Child to my list of "must go" / "must frequent" Thank you for a very good first impression.

Tameka M.

Yelp
I visited Flower Child in Uptown during the week for lunch. The service and food was great!
google avatar

Julia W.

Yelp
I originally had gone to the Uptown location of Flower Child before they opened this location in the Heights. My go-to has always been the Mother Earth Bowl. It's so delicious and filling! The very first time I went to the Shepherd location, I was underwhelmed because it just wasn't cooked the same - the sweet potatoes were harder than they should be, as in they weren't cooked through, and something was just off. However, every time I've gone back has been delicious, so I think that was just attributed to them just opening. They are quick with in person and to go orders. It's one of my favorite quick healthier places in Houston.

Melissa P.

Yelp
I recently started the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) and a good friend of mine recommended that I try Flower Child. I had a great experience all the way around! When I went to order, Sydney was so helpful in making recommendations and I ended up getting the Glo Bowl with shrimp and chocolate pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious! The restaurant, the service, and the food were excellent. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Leanne E.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite healthy spots in the heights. Love love it here! Salads are really really good, not basic or bland at all. Service is always fantastic! I only had a hiccup once with my order and they made it right. Their vegan (I'm not vegan) chocolate pudding is surprisingly ridiculously delicious. Every time I go, I have whoever is with me get one and they are skeptical but love it. Their old turkey salad was my go to but they just changed their menu so I went with the new turkey chop and I did really like it but miss the other one :(
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Came here to redeem my $5 birthday dessert credit. I got the vegan chocolate pudding, which is topped with coconut flakes. I ordered through the app, and it was ready by the time I got there. It was small but yummy! I don't know that I would spend the $5.25 they charge for it normally, but definitely worth the visit for the birthday treat! The interior of the place is absolutely gorgeous.
google avatar

Marc P.

Yelp
Wow! For lack of a better word for my culinary experience, we'll stick with that. I was so excited to make my first trip to Flower Child - Houston Heights for lunch. The smooth House, R&B, and Urban beats instantly set me in a happy mood when I stepped into the restaurant. The decor gives you a feeling of being at someone's cozy and whimsical home. The staff were all polite and friendly, but the star of the show was the food! I chose the protein and two sides. My protein was the grilled chicken and I chose the Yuzu Brussels Sprouts (with charred onion, savoy cabbage, and golden miso) and the Red Chile Glazed Sweet Potato (with bok choy and sesame seed) as my tasty sides. Other favorites include the Roasted Broccoli, Gluten-Free Mac & Cheese, and Butternut Squash "Risotto." As for drinks, you have wine, local beers, rotating kombucha, and various flavored iced teas to choose from. If you are in the Heights area and looking for a healthy, vegan, or vegetarian option for a meal, keep Flower Child in mind. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Shernell H.

Yelp
It's something about good, clean food that is both mouthwatering and healthy! Everything I had here was flavorful AND guilt free... including the cookie lol MY main dish was the Mother Earth with salmon which was scrumptious and filling. We also had the guacamole hummus which was definitely a hit for me. The Mac and cheese was also very flavorful. Lastly, the cookie was everything my sweet tooth needed without it being overbearing. Will definitely recommend to others and visit again when the craving arrives.
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
Went there yesterday with two others. All the food was great. Only complaint was that the cauliflower in my dish was undercooked.
google avatar

Monica F.

Yelp
While recovering from a minor surgery, I wanted something good to eat that wasn't overly filling but packed full of nutrients and flavor. I went on to Door Dash and stumbled across Flower Child, and while I had heard of this place, I never actually thought about eating there. I ordered the Forbidden Rice bowl, which comes with japonica, bok choy, broccoli and some other veggies, as well as hoisin sauce that I had put on the side. As a I have small grilled chicken breast at home already cooked, I simply added that in and voila, I had a super yummy meal that was just the right amount of food and full of all the good stuff! The options to add other proteins was available and next time I will try that. I am looking forward to eating here again and trying something new!
google avatar

Carly N.

Yelp
Great manager, staff and food. Love it. Thanks for being my favorite restaurant in the heights
google avatar

Nicky B.

Yelp
Really disappointed they removed the Szechuan green beans from their menu as it was one of the only few low carb sides that was tasty and enjoyable. Have tried the others and not a fan so makes ordering from here more difficult, as I used to go almost every day to help me with my weight loss journey. Wish they'd bring it back!
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
10/10 would eat again , very clean , nice staff , food is great. This is honestly a great place to eat if you are looking for something healthy but filling .

Robyn T.

Yelp
I've eaten various dishes, salads, desserts from here and all were really yummy! I love the chocolate pudding, lemon olive oil cupcake, Mediterranean chicken kabob, pot roast. Tonight I picked up the salmon plate with broccoli and smashed potatoes that were all a bit too salty, sadly. I'm not sure if this is always the case.
google avatar

Tenia O.

Yelp
Ok, not going to lie. When I say I was verrrrry skeptical about this place. I mean serious side eye action. How good can it be really? It's a bunch of veggies & other stuff I know how to cook. Surely this is one of those places that's just hyped up & overpriced due to the all vegan, gluten, natural blah blah blah trend that's going on. I must say I happily stand corrected!! For once a healthy food joint that's tasty, true to the advertisement & IMO worth the price. I grabbed a Mother Earth bowl to go. Didn't add any extras. The avocado wasn't all mushy. The sweet potato cooked just right. I really enjoyed the grains in the dish. Actually had some flavor to them & didn't feel like I was eating uncooked grits or something. It was filling and not overdoing it. And let's be real, portion control IS part of eating healthy, so can't really say I felt cheated. Sure some of it can be made at home, but are you really going to do it? LOL Flower Child is a good spot if you just don't feel like cooking or want a quick healthy bite instead of that burger you've been craving. I'll be back to try other things on the menu. Yelp on my friends!

Destiny F.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. I love the ambiance and that you can sit outside. In a cute location too!
google avatar

Stanly L.

Yelp
I normally don't leave reviews but my first experience at Flower Child was amazing. The restaurant felt open and the large windows made the restaurant feel bright and inviting. The staff was super friendly and I loved how they greeted me as I walked in. I couldn't decide on which meal to choose, but my waitress Cat helped me pick out the forbidden rice bowl with blackened shrimp. She seemed to know a lot about the menu. Not only was the food healthy but it was delicioso. Overall 10/10 experience will be coming back!!
google avatar

Diane E.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in the heights. Love their salads and they have great sangrias. Cute ambience and always clean. Very nice staff.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Ordered two wraps to go. Excellent! Wonderful, quaint atmosphere. Relaxing. Clean and spotless. Go here! It reminds me of west coast. You will enjoy. Adequate prices. Will see if they have a happy hour. If they do not, that may be a good suggestion for them.

Irene P.

Yelp
If you are looking for something different than standard fast food, try this place. The atmosphere is a cozy dinner vibe, the food is tasty, and they have nice desserts.
google avatar

Josclyn P.

Yelp
Me & my boyfriend are always looking for places to eat out together that have GF/Vegetarian options. We definitely hit the jackpot with Flower Child. From the amazing kombucha to the rich spices it was an incredible experience! We forgot the sweet lady at the registers name, but she took her time to let us know what her favorite things were off the menu, & convinced us to get the GF Pumpkin muffin and SO glad that we did! Overall just a wonderful experience. You've made forever customers out of us!

Yelp
Good food but overpriced for small portions MOTHER EARTH $9.95 - [ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed] - it was good, I liked the sweet potatoes the most, but portion was small for the price and doesn't even come with a protein. Preferred over glow bowl GLOW BOWL $9.95 - [spicy sweet potato noodle, bok choy, zucchini, onion, jalapeño, shiitake mushroom, coconut milk, sunflower butter] - Asian flavors were tasty, didn't expect this to be a hot entree, also the sweet potato noodles are actually sweet potato (just like zucchini noodles), not the Korean glass sweet potato noodles, definitely not enough food for my friend Been to Flower Child in Austin a couple of times. I remember liking the Mac & cheese, smashed gold potato, and especially the sweet corn and quinoa. The food is good and healthy (not necessarily low in calories), but definitely overpriced for the portions. Adding a protein will run you $4+ (I didn't really think the chicken or steak were that good in Austin). The flying avocado wrap with turkey looks good but is steep at $12. Probably won't return

Lilly R.

Yelp
The staff cares about people for being people, not customers. they have no idea how they saved the day today. The food is healthy and delicious. I typically order curbside and it's so easy. I feel like they've done everything to make life simple. the rose lemonade is my go-to. the staff always provides everything I need. I'm very thankful for them. the ambiance inside is also super clean and well formatted. I recommend everyone to come here.
google avatar

Mia D.

Yelp
Got the Mother Earth Bowl and the Shrimp Plate. Greens in the Earth Bowl tasted dirty. threw them out. other ingredients were fantastic. Their Portobello was perfectly marinated. I wish there was more of it in the bowl. The Shrimp Plate w Broccoli and Sweet Potatoes was 5 stars. Wish there was more shrimp but I get it. I devoured it and now I want more. But the way my bank account is set up..:.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
The service and food was delicious!! Reasonable prices for serving healthy food!! Difficult to choose from the variety of delicious dishes.

Mike S.

Yelp
I like that there are some organic options, not as many as you would think. Think. The food was decent. I'll definitely try it again. I had the shrimp, which was okay. Okay. Baked sweet potato fries were excellent. The brussel sprouts were not good. Okay, not just because they are brussel sprouts. They had a funky miso sauce on them, and it didn't go with that dish.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place! Came here for the first time with friends and wow! They really put an edge to modern day cuisine. Would definitely try their mother bowls and sangria.

Yelp
Im so sorry guys I was too busy stuffing my face to get that good shot. Hands down I think Ive found another fav. The place is super clean along with the restrooms. FOOD: Chicken Enchiladas Heres the thing I came back the next day to eat these same Doggone enchiladas. FlowerChild where is the Recipe cause Im not about to be coming up here twice a week for this bowl. (Insert laughing emoji) This freaking Enchilada bowl is so beautiful and tasty and healthy its mind boggling. Hopefully on my return I will venture to something else on the menu.

Carole M.

Yelp
Easy free parking Friendly staff Spacious indoor and outdoor seating Order at counter- they bring food to table Nice clean quiet restaurant Portions and prices are reasonable for quality

Yelp
I AM STUFFED! The customer service is friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious!! I have seen this golden nugget on Yelp plenty of times, and today was able to try it for myself. The place speak for itself, FLOWER CHILD. Nature's finest productions! Price: fairly inexpensive. The simple hummus was $6.50 and they gave a good amount of it, plus soft, warm pita bread. The three vegetarian sides (broccoli, Mac and cheese, and braised super greens) was $12+, and the chicken and two sides were roughly around $15. Everything was great! I will be returning :)

Yelp
Holy moly - these people make healthy eating soooo much easier! My boyfriend and I are doing "Vegan January" right now and decided to give them a try one day when we didn't have a lunch planned ahead of time. We both got Mother Earth (a warm veggie bowl that's vegan - I removed the avocado from mine because I don't enjoy avocado ) and we were both incredibly satisfied while simultaneously shocked at the deliciousness of it! When reading about it on the menu, we were a little skeptical of the combination of veggies in the bowl but it turned out to be way tastier than we could've imagined. Lesson number #137 on not to judge a dish by its contents I went back a second time recently and added tofu to it for extra protein and that was a fabulous choice as well. It costs extra for tofu - just a heads up! Although the tofu wasn't super seasoned on its own, in combination with the veggies and pesto sauce it was tasty and the texture of it gave the dish some added enjoyment. 10/10 recommend that you check this place out!
