"Bringing a third Space City location to The Heights, Flower Child will open at 1533 N. Shepherd Drive in a 3,500-square-foot space inside the Market at Houston Heights; the Heights site is being designed by Michael Hsu and will feature a large wrap-around covered terrace and the chain’s garden-chic interiors with green accents and bright mural art. The Phoenix-based chain from the same restaurant group behind North Italia and Blanco Tacos & Tequila offers a health-conscious, veggie-packed menu — think avocado or tomato toast, whole wheat or gluten-free wraps, salads with organic kale and greens, quinoa, Brussels sprouts, and chia seed dressing, plus plates or bowls of healthy grains and veggies that can be topped with proteins such as grass-fed steak, sustainable salmon, organic tofu, or “all-natural” chicken.
