Yelp
This healthy chain is a popular one and deeply satisfies my need for greens, raw options and healthier choices when I'm in Del Mar. Every time I have gone there it's been for a lunch date with a pal so a popular spot for meet ups and lunch meetings. It's a nice choice for someone you may be meeting for business or getting to know, as they can accommodate almost every food allergy or sensitivity you may/or may not know about your dining partner.
I like that there are a lot of seating options: Upstairs, downstairs and the lovely patio down and out back.
Favorite menu items include:
"FORBIDDEN" RICE: black pearl, red japonica, snap pea, bok choy, broccoli, carrot, onion, toasted sesame, red chili hoisin. (Insider tip: put an egg on it, trust me)
CRUSHED AVOCADO TOAST: soft egg, black sesame, white cheddar.
GINGER MISO CRUNCH SALAD: carrot zoodles, zucchini, red pepper, asian cabbage, mint, cashew, sesame seeds.
I also really love the simple roasted broccoli with lemon, garlic, parmesan and bread crumbs.
Flower Hill parking can be rough - and folks drive pretty nutty around the Whole foods. Skip the drama of fighting over a space or holding up traffics and head to the parking garage behind the grocery store and walk through the promenade to the restaurant.
