The Best Clubs In Miami That Don't Completely Suck - Miami - The Infatuation

"Floyd is like Space’s little brother, both in size and personality. They share the same owners and are located right next to each other. Floyd is more intimate, though—just one big room with a DJ booth in the middle of the club. There is no stage. Acts perform right on the dance floor at eye level with everyone else, and the crowd usually cares about the music more than the scene, which is good because there isn’t much room to do anything but dance. If it wasn’t for the expensive drinks, this place might feel like a very large house party." - Ryan Pfeffer

Miami’s Best Hidden and Speakeasy Bars | Eater Miami

"A speakeasy with live jazz in Miami’s club district? Yup, that’s Floyd. Tucked underneath Club Space, this space is decorated like a Victorian mansion serving Prohibition-era cocktails. On any given night, guests can enjoy DJs, jazz music, and poetry readings, all in a luxe atmosphere steps away from some of Miami’s hottest clubs." - Amber Love Bond

The Most Elegant Cocktail Bars in Miami | Eater

"For a night with more of a party vibe, check out Floyd Miami in the city’s club district. There, you can let the music take you and dance under chandeliers in a spacious design that was modeled after a British mansion with a mysterious speakeasy ambiance. Floyd Miami’s drinks menu takes its cues from the Prohibition era as well. To stick with the theme, try a Fish House Punch, a historic concoction of rum, cognac, and peach brandy mixed with lemonade or fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water. It will have you swinging in no time." - Vox Creative

I come here almost every weekend! The music is always poppin’, the people are so nice, and the ticket entry is not crazy like other clubs! Definitely worth coming back to back. I also love that I always have space to dance and it’s low light so people are in their own world or connecting with others if you choose to.

Google
It’s not the best club I ever been to but I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about, I stumbled upon this club when Space was sold out and got a table for our 8 person group and honestly thought the price was reasonable compared to other clubs. The server was very present, attentive, and on point but most importantly I didn’t feel any pressure from her to keep buying bottles which is a breath of fresh air in a club setting. I see a lot of bad reviews about prices, but you’re in Miami with a live decently known DJ/Producer booked- what do you expect? I honestly think the prices were reasonable and the staff was extremely transparent with pricing from the start. Bathrooms also had staff maintaining them the whole time. Overall good experience.

Google
Wish I could give 0 stars! Absolutely a waste of time and money. The atmosphere was just odd. Weird music, no one dancing, rude staff. Got one drink and left. I paid $42 for a shot of teremana, cranberry juice, and a bottled water. $20 cover fee which isn’t bad but again it was a waste of time and money. Don’t go. Everyone who walked in before and after us left immediately. I would’ve gone to space if the cover fee wasn’t $120…

Google
The worst club I’ve ever been to. The dance floor was completely empty, and there was zero vibe. They don’t even have a menu for drinks or prices, which feels shady. The bouncers were extremely rude and showed clear favoritism, making the experience uncomfortable. No respect for guests at all. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a good night out. Stay away!

Google
Absolutely stellar experience! This small/mid size speakeasy delivered top-notch quality. The music was outstanding, creating a fantastic vibe complemented by a helpful and friendly crew. Reasonable drink prices added to the positive atmosphere. Unlike some venues, the crowd was genuinely there for the music, making it a standout experience. The music quality exceeded my expectations. A definite 5-star recommendation!

Google
The music and sound system were wonderful. The staff is on point and made me feel safe to dance and enjoy myself. If you get kicked out it was because you sucked, not them so the bad reviews are unwarranted. Thank you to all the hard working, friendly, thoughtful and protective staff at Floyd!

We went to Floyd for a friends birthday on 10/14/24 at approximately 1AM & the two girls I was with got roofied. The girls were falling over stumbling, slurred speech, & unable to dance while my drink was flat and there’s bubbly, although the mixer was only cranberry and pineapple, I recorded a video of us and the drinks and the security immediately came over and told me I can NOT record the girls drinks were DARK and mine normal color. WEIRD/BAD people. They were hovering over us taking our drinks away, the moment I put the drink down they would take it away just to waste our bottle and get us out to sell another VIP. They even went out of their way to offer us shots 10 min of walking in while purchasing a bottle. They went out of their way to put a wrist band of 21+ to one of the girls when we were all 21+ and the other 2 individuals who are 21 + didn’t get wristband. The poor girl was a victim they were trying to do something bad to us. They gave us 2 water bottles and charged us for 3. Just trying to run UP OUR TAB the whole night. Worst bday ever. Worst club in the world they’re lucky I didn’t get the cops involved.

Google
I came here to see amtrac one evening and had such a great time! Bathrooms were relatively clean and the dj booth was super accessible. Space was pretty well ventilated too! I think it’s a part of club space? But they make it pretty clear that getting access to Floyd does not give you access to space

Yelp
It's disheartening to encounter rude, disrespectful profanity behavior, especially from bouncers. Instances of racism are unfortunate and should never be tolerated. It's important that I share my experience so a resolution can be made and so I can be heard. The fact I was born and raised in Miami makes me so disappointed of what our city has become. I attended February 3, 2024 and I will never be back and I will let friends and family know my horrific experience.

Yelp
This is the worst club I have ever been in Miami. The whole situation left me feeling disgusted and scared for my safety. I will never return to this club and urge others to stay away. The management needs to take responsibility for the behavior of their security team and take immediate action to prevent such incidents from happening again."

Yelp
It was a good vibe I went the night kitten was playing she absolutely killed it , just the gay security was an asshole and didn't let me step out for a second to smoke a cigarette since there's a no smoking policy , how do yall expect ppl to not smoke inside if you guys down allow ppl to step out for a second to smoke smh .
google avatar

Lian P.

Yelp
Don't go here . Don't even waist your time . These guys at the front think they are important but they aren't. There are other places to go .. there is a reason this place continues to fail. Time and time and again .

Yelp
I purchased a ticket for $70 to see Dombresky at anytime entry through the Dice app. We arrived at the doors at 1:50am to see Dombresky who was supposed to go on at 2am. The line was at a complete standstill. They were at full capacity. How?!?!?! Selling more tickets than what you have the capacity for is a scam. We ended up getting let in at 3:30 AM. We only got to see him for the last 30 min of his set. NEVER going here again. So disappointed that this was my first, and now only, experience at Floyd.

Yelp
Here to celebrate a birthday on a Friday night. Cozy, dark club next to Club Space, without the heavy crowd. It's a glam dungeon with techno DJ's and comfy seating sections. Parking down the street was $20. Intimate club with many regulars and cool DJ's. Warning: must have shoes with a strap or no entry.
google avatar

Yelp
Gem for house music lovers. Dark, with enough space to move around freely but small enough that it feels personal, and a great sound system. It's built for those who want to feel the music and get lost in it. Far from the pretentious over crowded places you can find in Miami.

Xintong W.

Yelp
The worst service in the world!!! Will Never go again. The security charge double almost tripled in front of the door to Asian ppl more than other clients at the show date. The tickets checked guy said dirty word to girls. Anyway. Worst! Don't go!!!

Yelp
Space isn't really my vibe, but on an invite this place was pretty neat. It seemed like a quirky speakeasy. I'm underground yet adult. Fairly electric music and crowd. Everyone seemed to be having a good time with the music. It fills up later in the early am.

Yelp
ALERT! This place (34 NE 11th St, Miami, FL 33132) sells fake tequila, I paid $100.00 for two Don Julio 1942 shots and we noticed right away intoxication symptoms: dizziness, blurred vision and impairment. Two male around 35 years old, 5'10". We talked to the manager and they say "go to the FBI or talk to the police cross street" laughing about our symptoms. Don't buy tequila. They are dishonest.

Yelp
From my mid 20's and 30's I would frequent Space and its earlier incarnation of Space 34. You know, the untz untz and the tiki tiki music of my youth and unforgettable forgotten memories on the patio and the main floor... Sadly, now I have the occassional gray, don't always get carded at bars (and why I'm taking off a star), and am back home and in bed by 3:30am when a ladyfriend and I go out. Well, "Space" still has us covered. Where I once jammed out to greats like Paul Van Dyk and Armin had been converted to a cozy cocktail lounge with chandeliers, exposed wood, and a liquor wall. There's also a DJ station and the registers still show the famous Space logo! We stopped by after a nearby dinner to enjoy some sips, listen to music and try to re-live those fun nights. There's a nice spread of couches in case you want to dance off the floor:) as well as bar seating. While their regular mixology menu is lacking on rum drinks, they make a pretty good mojitos. Miss Lady also had a customized white Russian, and we both ordered black Russians as a nightcap to close out a fun after midnight. I'm not sure if their mix is a separate DJ or carried over from the main room, but we enjoyed some dark house and classics (from Sam Obernik, Cassius and yes Armin). They also had a live DJ set for later on. I admire that the new owners of Space have gone to make it more inclusive and keep up with the original clubgoers as we age. Who knows, maybe they'll have shuffleboard on the terrace 30 years down the road:)

Yelp
I rave in so many places/countries. This is the worst venue I ever went. This place is soo small, there's nothing wrong with that, but the freaking security and bar runner are in your face and bother you al the time. THEY ANNOUNCE A GODDD DAMMM HARD TECHNO EVENT AND THEY CAN EVEN HABDEL THIS KINDA EVENT AND AUDIENCE. This place charge me for 2 tickets just because. ... regret to even go here for second time. Just do yourself a favor. Go to the actual space or somewhere else.

Max Z.

Yelp
This clubs is hardly 500 sq feet :) $40 entrance fee with a really lame music. Bouncers were trying to be funny tho

Yelp
I love the live music sets here, and also the intimacy and darkness of the place. An improvement of the previously Libertine where leather couches would be in the way, now there is a spacious dance floor. One of the best things I've heard was a few months ago in June, when "stavroz" played. Drinks are over priced and bar staff often rude (not all of them).

Yelp
Unwilling to stand in line at the other nearby clubs, stopped into Floyd Miami for a drink on Friday night. Listened to some music and enjoyed a Jalapeno Margarita in the laid back atmosphere. Quality I was disappointed when I heard that Libertine had shut down because it provided a relaxing escape from the club oriented district of downtown Miami. Luckily Floyd Miami seems to have picked right up where Libertine was headed, leaving much of the former space in tack. Although some of the decor was removed and the furniture was shifted, the space remains an upscale cocktail lounge. While there I enjoyed a Jalapeno Margarita, which hit the spot perfectly. A refreshing drink with a spicy kick. Quantity It was a fair sized drink and even though it had a strong jalapeno flavor you could still taste the tequila. Value While not a great deal, the cocktails are definitely better, stronger, and cheaper than what you will find at other places in the area. I believe my drink was $13, which is solid for a cocktail bar. Ambiance Floyd is located in downtown Miami, squeezed between Space and Heart and across the street from E11even. And as the lines start to pile up at those other spots, Floyd quietly sits there offering unique music and fun cocktails. On Friday night they did not charge a cover, which gets them off on a good foot immediately. After walking up a few steps you make your way down a long dark tunnel. The main bar area has changed very little since its days as Libertine. Along one wall they have a large bar with all the different ingredients for sophisticated cocktails. Across from the bar is a DJ booth and on the end near the entrance is a stage when they have live music. Although they have DJs these are not the standard pop and hip-hop DJs you would see at other clubs. The music is more electronic with underground house and ambient influences. The music will not be for everyone, but it creates a very cool vibe. The DJ who was performing when we were there was mixing in old school hip-hop backtracks into a hypnotic trance soundtrack, it was great background tunes as you sip on a drink. The space also had some chairs and couches scattered in the corners which thankfully you did not need to pay to enjoy. Crowd There were a good number of people at the bar, but it was far from packed. There was no line at the door, you did not need to wait to order a drink, and chairs were readily available for anyone who wanted to sit down. The vibe was laid back, but it did not mean people weren't there having fun. Plenty of people were dancing along to the dream-like tunes. Service As soon as we sat down a waitress came over with menus and she had our drinks out in short order. I was surprised they even had waitstaff going around on Friday night, but since it was not too packed it made it very convenient. Parking There is tons of street parking throughout the area, but it is not necessarily the best place to be wandering around at night. They have parking lots that overcharge for a bit more security, but considering the neighborhood and the constant police presence, I recommend taking a car service. Extra Floyd caters to a different crowd focusing on music you don't constantly hear on the radio. Throw in a cool environment with tasty cocktails and it is a fun spot worth checking out. While it may not be for everyone, I highly recommend checking it out before choosing to stand on line for one of the other nearby clubs.

Yelp
Honestly didn't know how cool this spot would be until I walked in, but it truly lived up to its hype! The entrance is right next to Space but you'd probably miss the door if you weren't paying attention. The hallway that leads the back is lined with fur - interesting, reminds me of that movie with Russell Brand haha. The entire place is one room that is a mix between a bar and club; it is small but cozy and looks like it's in a subway with red subway tile and a dome ceiling. The place is sexy! There's a stage and DJ booth, and space to have a seat (where you won't get charged to sit down at - rare for this kind of set-up!). There's another door on the opposite side from where you come in that leads right into Space. I was told that this door is blocked-off when tickets for Space are specifically required, but hey, I'd give it a shot anyway. My friend had a table so I didn't have to pay for drinks; however, I'm sure it ain't cheap. Went here to see Omnom and would definitely go back.

Yelp
This place is OK at best and I would encourage you not to come here, especially if you're a tourist. JK, I actually really liked this place but don't want anyone to ruin it. LOL. It's down to earth with a sexy decor with nice architecture, and great 2 for 1 drinks at 10 on Thursdays. I live in Brickell and am really over the commercial, expensive-for-no-reason options in my area and this is just the type of place I've been looking for. I am starting to realize that downtown is where it's at! I had Old Fashioneds and the bartender did a great job. I wasn't sure what to expect because sometimes when you're getting a bar special, the drinks are watered down. But these were delicious. I enjoyed the live music. Can't wait to come again.
google avatar

Mariana K.

Yelp
The space is alright. They get great artists to perform. I came for Suzi Analogue and DJ Seinfeld; love them. And I appreciate Floyd for curating a lineup of great DJs, even internationals. But as a BAR, I hate this place. They have a sub-par beer selection and craft $14 mixed drinks from bottom-shelf liquors. TOO EXPENSIVE; I've already paid a cover to enter. In fact, I've yet to have an OK night at Floyd. My rum-and-coke was made with vanilla coke (?). And the bartenders seem to make up whatever price they desire. I just really don't trust the staff.
google avatar

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
We met a guy on the street who said, "you know that place e11even? you know that place next to e11even called club space? well there's this other place next to space called Floyd. you gotta check it out." When in Miami, amiryte?! After a slight snafu with the doorman where we wouldn't let everyone in my posse in due to unsafe footwear, we finally made it in. But you know what? WORTH IT. Got some great dancing in, and to be honest, I loved that it wasn't too crowded, and I could really let loose to ride the white horse.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
danny the bouncer was rude upon entrance, the bar was terrible, and the crowd was so dead - stay away
google avatar

Vassilis J.

Yelp
Stylish and firm small club or lounge. Lighting hit shiny reds, browns and mustards with various arches in the ceiling. They have a little nook of a stage, big leather chesterfield couches and a deep bass sound system. More than a few smokers in the mellow, varied crowd - at least that night. Nice place to kick back and absorb. Would give it 4 stars but the bouncer had to puff his chest out like some foolish bouncers are apt to do. Then the bathroom attended rattled some forceful Spanish off to me and made a bunch of money signs like the 3 inch hand off of a paper towel was worth some money. With the stench of piss in the air? I'll skip the tip. Maybe the friction came from locals who knew I was a vacationer, maybe not. Floyd is still solid.

Yelp
Lovely venue in the center of downtown Miami. This place isn't like most clubs that you see out there like Heart and other ones, as this one brings more of a homely atmosphere. I love the decorations on the walls and how dark it is. Not to mention the DJs that play there are incredible! What truly makes this place stand out from your average club is that you can actually sit down and enjoy you drink and chat while enjoying the music. They have plenty of comfortable couches and have waitresses coming up to you constantly making sure that you're doing alright and if you'd like another drink or two. They even bring the bill over to you if you decided to simply order from where you're seated. Also, in terms of entry, when we came here, all my boyfriend and I had to do was just hand them our IDs to check our ages and they let us right in. No need to pay $75 to get in alongside expensive drinks! I'll for sure be returning here even if the area surrounding it isn't particularly pleasant. Downtown Miami and I have always had a love/hate relationship.

Demetria B.

Yelp
Hit or miss with the crowd, only open on weekends, 20 dollars admission for ladies lots of house music and liquor on a few beer selections other then that it sums up an after hrs party. Weed fills the air as cocaine gets pushed up the nostrils of the crowd that occupys the room. Lol

Jen S.

Yelp
Always fantastic music, great ambiance and I've always had friendly, welcoming bartenders. HOWEVER, I wish this place would have a bit of control over the crowd. Floyd curates such amazing talent and DJ's from around the world but it is unfortunately difficult to enjoy the music and dance when there are too many people standing around on the dance floor, too many people taking selfies w annoying flashes, and too many people out to be seen with no respect for the music or the customers there to actually enjoy and support the music. It's one thing for a dance floor to be packed w people dancing, it's another for it to be packed w people standing around. Miami overall brings some great DJ's but I find the "out to be seen and get wasted" so unfortunate and I'd rather just wait to see my favorite DJ's when traveling to other cities where people know how to party with a bit more....sophistication. I'm all for late nights, dancing until the sun comes up and believe me, I know how to get down but the sloppiness of the people found in so many places around Miami is unreal. Cmon Floyd, I love you! Be the place to set yourself apart from the rest of the scene.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Quickly becoming one of Miami's best kept secrets Floyd brings you back to a time in old Miami that so many have forgotten. Hosting several nights with live music (especially jazz which hasn't been seen here in too long) as well as late night events with amazing DJs Floyd brings that home vibe of an early jazz bar. With mixology on the menu, and a selection of wine and other spirits this place is a great spot to start your night or to wind down!!!
google avatar

Isabelle F.

Yelp
Best new place in town. Make sure you arrive when the live band is playing around 10:30-11pm. The drink moscow mule is to die for.
google avatar

Summer S.

Yelp
Gorgeous little venue, intimate and full of character. We went to see Breakbot recently, and it was the perfect location. My favorite part was the bar, with warm backlighting and little lamps placed to give off the perfect glow. The bartenders were so friendly and attentive, even when everything got busy. I can't wait to go back!

Megan C.

Yelp
Worst club I've ever been in. Was in there for 15 min. Friends walked up 2 steps (not even close to in the club) and they refused to give a refund. Not even near close to in the club and it was so ridiculous. We tried to go to the club space next door and they told the people there gay we got kicked out (which none of us did) and wouldn't let us in. Worst night out in Miami I've ever had.
google avatar

Ceyda T.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT !!!! Such a charming place with an amazing great Live Band in the middle of downtown.
google avatar

Pam K.

Yelp
Redundant techno music. Tiny, expensive drinks. Amazing what passes for a good club here. Not recommended.

Mariana D.

Yelp
Honestly thought it would be better for $40. You can't dance to the music at all just move side to side. First time in Miami not worth me coming back to Miami at all.

Brian T.

Yelp
Not as advertised. Was not a lounge. $20 a person. Club only. The view was all millennial feminist. Horrible. Wanted money back - but they stated no way. Hope this place closes down. What a waste of time. Bartender cool.

Carline I.

Yelp
Music was decent. Would have to come again in order to make a more informed review. I came here for DJ Nii Tei set on Aug. 5, 2017. It was cool but I'm not sure about the other DJs that were spinning that night. The smoking allowed was a huge negative though, I must admit.

T T.

Yelp
Place is shit. Occasional feel good act but bartenders suck. Manager is the worst lol. Left my tab open they lost my cards. This bar is shit. The space is shit.
